Please Change Draft: A New Journey Tour to saying A New Journey World Tour

Concert tours

[edit]

While I appreciate all of the work you are putting into the concert tour articles you are creating, there are a few problems you should address. Without adding Wikipedia:Reliable sources, these concert tours will fail Wikipedia:Notability, specifically WP:CONCERT TOUR, and could be deleted. While it is great that you are working on a number of concert tours, it would be nice if you would focus on one article at a time, to fully source and add all of the dates, instead of hopping around from one article to the next, leaving other editors to fix mistakes that you leave along the way. Aspects (talk) 18:07, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see your ignored my advice to work on one article at a time and build it up to where it needs to be. Here is some other advice that I hope you will heed. You need to start using WP:Edit summaries so other editors know why you made your edits. You need to stop removing the city links in tour articles. They are used in all tour articles on Wikipedia and continuing to remove them could result in you being banned for WP:Edit warring.
In Voices of Angels World Tour you need to stop changing the date format per WP:STRONGNAT. Concert tour articles, like album articles, song articles and discographies should follow the date format that the band/singer's articles uses. Celtic Woman being an Irish group where they using the day month year format means that the tour article should do the same. Again, continuing to change the date formats could result in your being banned. In general, now that you have started tour articles, you do not WP:OWN them and you need to work with other editors. Per WP:BRD, if you make an edit that gets reverted, you need to start a discussion instead of continually reverting to your preferred version. Hopefully this advice helps, Aspects (talk) 05:09, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Another piece of advice, you need to make sure that the venue links you list actually lead to the venue you are referring to. Recently on the Voices of Angels World Tour you added links to Palace Theater, which redirects to the dab article Palace Theatre, instead of Palace Theatre (Columbus, Ohio) and State Theatre, which redirects to the dab article State Theatre, instead of State Theatre (Cleveland, Ohio). This leads to other editors have to go through and fix your mistakes when you can use the "Show preview" button to see if your links are correct. Aspects (talk) 05:16, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There are so many State Orpheum and Palace Theatres so it is kind of hard- For Louisville I can just say Louisville Palace. Setlists: I will post as soon I get the first one.

Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Dear PantherMan;
I just noticed that you joined as a Wikipedia editor on 22 January, nearly two months ago, but that you have not yet been welcomed; I am sorry about that. I am therefore attaching below one of the 'Welcome' templates, which will provide you with pointers to information that was written to assist new editors. I hope you will find them beneficial.
I can also see that you are motivated to create new articles, which is great, although the best way of doing that is to create a draft of your article in your user space first. For example, if you wanted to create an article for a topic entitled BlaBla, you would simply create the following new page, to contain your draft: User:PantherMan/BlaBla. As a result of this, other editors will recognize such a new page as being part of your own, personal set of user pages, and new page reviewers will therefore largely leave it alone and will only intervene if you deviate from the guidelines explained in Wikipedia:User pages.
If you were to take this approach, then new page patrollers would ignore your draft article until you were ready to publish it in main article space, which you do by simply renaming the page, or "moving the page", as it is called here in Wikipedia.
The important point to remember is: if you create a new article directly in main space, then it will be expected to meet all the editorial guidelines, which an initial draft will almost never be able to achieve. In essence, this is why you have been contacted by other editors in many of the sections above, and why some of your earlier efforts at creating articles have met with selection for deletion.
I am therefore hopeful that the template I am adding below will prove useful to you. If I may also offer some unsolicited advice, I would suggest that you consider taking the time to explore the various pages of guidance available to Wikipedia editors, while developing your next drafts; simply put: these guidelines will help make your contributions more productive and, in turn, your experience will be much more positive after the initial learning curve.
Finally, a word of encouragement: every single editor in Wikipedia started from the same point of not knowing anything about the encyclopedia's policies and guidelines; however, with a bit of learning and effort in applying the editorial guidelines, you will soon become proficient at doing the right things. From my experience, I'd also have to add that I am still learning new things every day, which I think makes the project interesting in its own right.
So, good luck and very best wishes, and thank you for your interest in contributing to our encyclopedia!
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 20:17, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A request has been filed for the title of Songs from the Heart Tour requesting that it be added to the title blacklist. This has been done because the article appears to be a recreation, under a different title, of an article which is itself currently protected against recreation. Please note that titles used to circumvent the protection policy are often given the same level of protection as the original title the author is trying to circumvent, or are added to the title blacklist.

If you feel that the topic of the article meets our notability guidelines, please request a deletion review or use a request for unprotection instead.

Please note that repeated recreation of an article against a consensus to delete is considered disruptive and grounds for a block. Thank you. Garchy (talk) 17:39, 20 March 2017 (UTC) I'm working on it now. It's my third attempt becauseyou deleted my last two. LET ME WORK ON IT.[reply]

A tag has been placed on Il Divo 2006 World Tour requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

It's not deleted. It was redirected. The content can be restored. Perhaps you should be working on these in your sandbox until they are ready for the main space. It was not notable as it stood. No need for caps locks. --Jennica / talk 13:21, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Idina: 2017 World Tour

[edit]

Hello, PantherMan. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Idina: 2017 World Tour".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 18:52, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DO NOT TRY TO DELETE MY WORK EVER AGAIN. THIS IS WARNING #1

PantherMan, if this is about your draft, it is refundable. All you have to do is ask. Another thing to keep in mind is that you do not OWN any of the pages you've created on Wikipedia, so it's not really "your work" so much as "your contribution". Sometimes our contributions get deleted, and that sucks, but there's no point in threatening people. Primefac (talk) 02:14, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart World Tour please put in drafts. DO NOT touch it put it in drafts

Who are you speaking to? Your article fails WP:Notability requirements, so it's been redirected. There is no use in putting an unsourced, badly formatted article in draftspace if it's clear at this point you aren't willing to source anything on it. Ss112 03:00, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am willing to source it just not there yet. Where is my Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart World Tour Article?

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:James Taylor and His Band of Legends, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 20:59, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Just a friendly message about your adding broken references to articles. Adding named references like <ref name="Setlists.fm" /> as you did on October Road Tour (and others) without adding a reference means that no one can view the source.
