[edit]Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Titanic Sinclair while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 17:10, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to R.E.M. (song). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. The article LG Records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:NCOMPANY, lacks significant coverage in multiple independent reliable secondary sources. Instagram is not an acceptable independent source.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Dan arndt (talk) 00:43, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, Notsammyray,
- I have removed the PROD tag due to your objections on the article talk page. PRODs are supposed to be uncontroversial deletions and any editor can remove a PROD tag from a tagged article or file. Please realize that this might result in a nomination at AFD for this article so it is worth your time trying to respond to criticism of the article and work on improving the article.
- If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Liz Read! Talk! 00:40, 7 August 2022 (UTC)

This is not self-promotion??? I am not associated with this label at all, I am just a fan. I really like editing Wikipedia and I have some really helpful edits I'm waiting to make on notable subjects. In the future, I will provide much more reliable sources. LG does exist, however I see now how it's not notable. - Hello, Notsammyray,
- I noticed that I earlier posted a message to your talk page when your article was PROD'd so I thought I'd respond to your comments. To be unblocked, you'll need to file an unblock request as stated in the block message. But before doing so, you must move on from LG Records and accept that the community has decided that they don't want an article on this subject. If you persist and try to create it again, you will just be reblocked.
- Think about those other article subjects you want to contribute to and mention a fwe in your unblock request. Most of all, the admin reviewing your unblock request wants to see that you will not create similar articles and you are commited to being a productive contributor who will learn more about Wikipedia's guidelines, policies and standards and abide by them. They want to be convinced that they will not have to monitor you or reblock you.
- If this is too much work for you, well, there are plenty of other websites online that you can contribute to and hang out at besides this project. If you want to edit Wikipedia though, you need to make a persuasive unblock request that convinces the reviewer that any problems you have are in the past. Good luck. Liz Read! Talk! 06:54, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
- My concern stems from the fact that one of the sources provided at the now-deleted article was an Instagram account that is presumably yours. That, coupled with your claim that you are in direct contact with the alleged founder of this company (real or not), suggests a conflict of interest. I feel that taking Liz's advice above would be the best approach here. --Kinu t/c 22:02, 20 August 2022 (UTC)
If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
The page LG Records has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appeared to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it did not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Request reason:
My account was blocked because I added a subject that was not notable with little sources and evidence that it existed. From now on, I will provide several reliable sources on all edits I make and I will NOT add any content in which there could be a possible conflict of interest. I understand my mistake and it will not happen again moving forward. I have made some valuable edits in the past, especially on music subjects and I will continue to do so if I regain access to Wikipedia. I would be very grateful to continue being a user here, as I truly respect the project and have never intended harm on it. Notsammyray (talk) 07:57, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This does not address the exact, specific nature of your conflict of interest, does not convince me you'll leave LG Records alone, and does not generally come across as convincing. Yamla (talk) 10:22, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
About 6 months ago, my account was blocked from editing due to evidence of self-promotion when I wrote an article about a record label called LG Records, a label which I had a personal association with, as I had performed at one of their events. I understand how this is a conflict of interest, as receiving information directly from the source could result in exaggerated or entirely incorrect information, and how I could personally benefit from being associated with a company that has an article. I never had ill intent and I have spent time reviewing the Wikipedia guidelines, especially the notability guidelines. I now truly understand why my article was inappropriate. I've learned about what kinds of things are notable enough to have an article on Wikipedia, and I am truly embarrassed that I ever wrote that article. If I get access to edit again, I will absolutely leave the LG Records article alone, and will not participate in edit warring. Additionally, I will take the time to look at my sources and make sure they are reliable (not from social media, not directly from the article's subject, etc.) I've participated in editing other similar sites, including other Wikimedia projects, and I believe I will make very valuable edits for Wikipedia as I have done elsewhere. I respect Wikipedia a lot and I would love to have the ability to edit. I have already begun research on music-related stub articles, and I have a lot of information I can add in order to expand upon them and turn them into full articles. Thank you very much and I hope I will be considered for a second chance. Notsammyray (talk) 22:00, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

- I understand. I never said it was the only country. However, right now it is the only country that has been announced, so I believe we should just list the states. Once there are other countries to show, I agree it should be the country and not the state, but leave it as states for now. Notsammyray (talk) 01:44, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

As I just stated in my edit summary, there is no way that we can know that readers typing death in all caps would want to be pointed to or mean Martinez's song. This is a very common English-language word and should not redirect there so has been repointed. Also, as stylisations are disregarded across Wikipedia per MOS:CAPS, and MOS:CAPS does not talk about the importance of stating said stylisations in parentheses anywhere—and more importantly, said stylisation notes have been removed from Martinez's articles multiple times previously—please do not add or restore them. Thanks. Ss112 03:21, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- We also do not italicise song titles on Wikipedia, so please don't make edits like this. Ss112 03:22, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I understand the part about the redirect, but I still believe the "stylized in all caps" note should be kept, as it is important information and very common across other, more developed, articles. I'm unsure why you believe it's a problem with Portals/Death, because it seems to be used on most articles like this.
- For example: Beyoncé (album), When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Damn (Kendrick Lamar album), Sawayama, Folklore (Taylor Swift album), Evermore (Taylor Swift album), Reputation (album), Don't Smile at Me, Eat (NXT Soundtrack), Bury Me at Makeout Creek, Magdalene (album), Blackpink, Sour (album), and likely hundreds of others.
- Some of those articles are even tagged as "good articles", so I'm sure it would've been removed by someone at some point if it were wrong. Notsammyray (talk) 03:43, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Notsammyray: You are using a whataboutism argument. I'm well aware how common it is on pop music articles—it's a pointless trend that started in the 2010s here, but it shouldn't be on any of them. I (and a couple other editors) are actively trying to remove it from new articles to stop it because it's trivial. It's a simple difference of letter case. Nobody's world is changed if they learn Ariana Grande wants Thank U, Next typed as thank u, next—what difference does it make to learn a case-difference stylisation from a parenthesised note in one place when everywhere else on the website it is and should be typed Thank U, Next? It's really not important at the end of the day how an artist wants to typeset their work. We've disregarded it all the times artists have sworn how important it is (Lady Gaga told everybody they should capitalise Artpop in all caps and multiple other artists like the Pet Shop Boys have expressed how distinctive they think their song titles look in sentence case). It's never consistently rendered in sources reporting on their works, and at the end of the day Wikipedia and its readers know we standardize such spellings anyway per our guidelines. It would be best if you and other editors endeavoured to work with our guidelines, not find excuses and examples as to why we shouldn't. Ss112 04:43, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- I agree, nobody's world would change if they found out an artist likes an album stylized a certain way, but it's the same for most of the other information in the article. Knowing the day Melanie released the album, for example, doesn't effect anybody's life, but it's still one of the most important bits of information in the article. The point of Wikipedia is to be an encyclopedia, and the article should tell us anything someone would want to know about the subject. Maybe you don't care to know the stylization information, but others, including myself, clearly do. Even if nobody's "world is changed", the artist's intent is still significant information and should be included in the article. Notsammyray (talk) 14:13, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

[edit]I reverted your edits adding photos to songs Infoboxes, as in the cases of e.g. Illicit Affairs, Vigilante Shit etc. Per Template:Infobox song#cover the field is for an official cover or a picture sleeve and is not for live performances photos. Also please consider WP:IRELEV that photos in Wikipedia are not merely for decoration but need to compliment the prose/demonstrate a point. Best, Ippantekina (talk) 03:54, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- thank you, but it seems you are missing the part on the template which says "or other image appropriate for the song". it also does not state that live performance photos cannot be used, nor does it appear to be at all implied. these images are definitely appropriate for the song, being actual images of the live set. with no music video or official cover art, they are also the primary means of visual identification, illustrating the theme of the song and helping people better understand it. i see no reason why they cannot be added.
- you've also linked Wikipedia:IRELEV, which states "Images must be significant and relevant in the topic's context, not primarily decorative. They are often an important illustrative aid to understanding." i believe these images are significant and relevant to the topic, rather than decorative. the images serve the purpose of visually identifying the songs, which is clearly important on wikipedia, considering it is why we allow copyrighted cover art.
- Wikipedia:IRELEV also states "When possible, find better images and improve captions instead of simply removing poor or inappropriate ones, especially on pages with few visuals." Notsammyray (talk) 04:09, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- "other image appropriate for the song" could mean photos in the liner notes where appropriate. I doubt a photo of a live performance is appropriate as the main visual identification of a particular song or for its value in aiding the reader's understanding of the subject (I mean think about it, a song can be performed on various tours and occasions). Such photos are appropriate for a "Live performances" section though. Ippantekina (talk) 05:02, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Sammyrayy
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username EytanMelech, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Taylor Swift as an opening act, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|EytanMelech}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Hi @Sammyrayy. Take a look for which one you prefer at the "Release history" table: "Distributor", "Licensee", "Marketer" or "Promoter". 2001:D08:2910:4C95:17C3:914F:D77C:7595 (talk) 03:04, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Ways to improve X's World Tour
[edit]Hello, Sammyrayy,
Thank you for creating X's World Tour.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Please see the notability guidelines for concert tours at WP:NTOUR: "Sources that merely establish that a tour happened are not sufficient to demonstrate notability."
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Jonathan Deamer}}

Deletion discussion about We Trust You Tour
[edit]Hello Sammyrayy, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, We Trust You Tour, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/We Trust You Tour.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Jonathan Deamer}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

The article X's World Tour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unnotable article that fails Music notability guidelines.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If you reply here, please ping me. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 22:02, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_advice#Simplifying "Release history" tables
[edit]Hi @Sammyrayy: Theknine2 suggest that not to use "Label" and "Region" columns via updated table. Your comments would be appreciated. However there's two other users opposed over updated table, so I suggested that change "Label" to "Distributor" column via original table.
