Seeking consensus on proposed policy

[edit]
Hey, TheTechie! I just wanted to invite you to check out my proposed policy that aims to curb targeted/harassing deletion nominations on Wikipedia. Feel free to participate in the discussion on the talk page as a consensus is being sought via RfC. Thank you!

Lake Oswego

[edit]

Note about Lake Oswego, Oregon - the state in the page title is actually a rule of our naming conventions - WP:USPLACE states "When weighing a US city against other possible primary topics, the US city should never be considered a partial title match if the base name of the city is the same as the term being considered. For example, Nashville, Tennessee, includes the state name in its title and is also the primary topic for "Nashville" alone, which redirects to the city's page." and "Cities listed in the AP Stylebook as not requiring the state modifier in newspaper articles have their articles named "City" unless they are not the primary topic for that name." Lake Oswego is not listed in the AP Stylebook, therefore it needs the state dab. Are there any other articles you have made this kind of change to, so I or you can fix them? wizzito | say hello! 04:01, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No, that was the only one @Wizzito. thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 17:38, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question about Help-me tool

[edit]

Hi! I'm asking because I'm having issues making your help-me tool work. Is it supposed to display a blue button on the template? If so, it doesn't seem to show to me. I've tried switching to old vector but that wouldn't solve the issue either. I'm using the new vector skin. Thanks! Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 15:43, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is. I haven't had time to test it much, I'll take a look at it when I have time. @Cocobb8 thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 17:39, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
