DYK for Spira Spica
[edit]On 1 January 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Spira Spica, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the name of the Japanese band Spira Spica comes from a Latin word meaning "having hopes as long as one lives", and the star Spica? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Spira Spica. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Spira Spica), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Question about DYK reviewing
[edit]Sorry, I realised that I incorrectly pinged you to Template:Did you know nominations/Abel Azcona. In any case, since you appear to be an experienced reviewer, perhaps you could help me out with this question: How long should I keep the review open in hopes of seeing sufficient improvements to the page? As of today, there's a whole new set of tags on the page. Should I give it another 3 to 5 days, and then decline the nom for the last time if the page is still not eligible? --K.e.coffman (talk) 01:39, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- @K.e.coffman: It's really more of a case-by-case basis. If the nominator has completely stopped editing, three-to-five days could suffice, but if the nominator is merely unresponsive, another week of waiting along with a final message would be a better idea. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:23, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer newsletter February 2020
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5/Archives,
- Source Guide Discussion
The first NPP source guide discussion is now underway. It covers a wide range of sources in Ghana with the goal of providing more guidance to reviewers about sources they might see when reviewing pages. Hopefully, new page reviewers will join others interested in reliable sources and those with expertise in these sources to make the discussion a success.
- Redirects
New to NPP? Looking to try something a little different? Consider patrolling some redirects. Redirects are relatively easy to review, can be found easily through the New Pages Feed. You can find more information about how to patrol redirects at WP:RPATROL.
- Discussions and Resources
- There is an ongoing discussion around changing notifications for new editors who attempt to write articles.
- A recent discussion of whether Michelin starred restraunts are notable was archived without closure.
- A resource page with links pertinent for reviewers was created this month.
- A proposal to increase the scope of G5 was withdrawn.
- Refresher
Geographic regions, areas and places generally do not need general notability guideline type sourcing. When evaluating whether an article meets this notability guideline please also consider whether it might actually be a form of WP:SPAM for a development project (e.g. PR for a large luxury residential development) and not actually covered by the guideline.

- @SlimVirgin: For what particular purpose, in this case? As for DYK, all you need to do is to add "subst:" at the top of the DYK template and after the "{{", then add "no" to "passed = ". Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:32, 20 March 2020 (UTC)

Articles for Creation: List of reviewers by subject notice
[edit]Hi Narutolovehinata5/Archives, you are receiving this notice because you are listed as an active Articles for Creation reviewer.
Recently a list of reviewers by area of expertise was created. This notice is being sent out to alert you to the existence of that list, and to encourage you to add your name to it. If you or other reviewers come across articles in the queue where an acceptance/decline hinges on specialist knowledge, this list should serve to facilitate contact with a fellow reviewer.
To end on a positive note, the backlog has dropped below 1,500, so thanks for all of the hard work some of you have been putting into the AfC process!
Sent to all Articles for Creation reviewers as a one-time notice. To opt-out of all massmessage mailings, you may add Category:Wikipedians who opt out of message delivery to your user talk page. Regards, Sam-2727 (talk)

New Page Reviewer newsletter June 2020
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5/Archives,
- Your help can make a difference
NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.
- Google Adds New Languages to Google Translate
In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.
- Discussions and Resources
- A discussion on handling new article creation by paid editors is ongoing at the Village Pump.
- Also at the Village Pump is a discussion about limiting participation at Articles for Deletion discussion.
- A proposed new speedy deletion criteria for certain kinds of redirects ended with no consensus.
- Also ending with no change was a proposal to change how we handle certain kinds of vector images.

[edit]Dear Participants and Organizers,
Because of the COVID19 pandemic, there are a lot of countries’ international postal systems not reopened yet. We would like to send all the participants digital postcards and digital certifications for organizers to your email account in the upcoming weeks. For the paper ones, we will track the latest status of the international postal systems of all the countries and hope the postcards and certifications can be delivered to your mailboxes as soon as possible.

Hey, Narutolovehinata5. There is currently a MfD going on for the waifu UBX I made years ago which you have transcluded. Personally I don't really mind if it gets deleted since I am inactive and it was just made as a one-off joke, though I am wondering if you would like to chime in, seeing that you have it transcluded. Hello, I just reviewed your article for WP:WAM, and I have some questions about one of the sources used in the article, which can be seen at the Fountain page. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:26, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- The DeVries reference is not a problematic issue because it is merely a film review listed in the Reception section. It is not used as a reference for any of the factual information about the film. It is merely one person's subjective review, which is all that a review can be. This is in the Reception section so a subjective opinion is absolutely appropriate. --Nicholas0 (talk) 13:24, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- The review has been removed. You can accept the article now. --Nicholas0 (talk) 23:22, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
There are two references showing that release date. The second reference mentions the release date in its final sentence at the very bottom of the page (ignore the title/heading of the page). Please review this film article again. --Nicholas0 (talk) 13:31, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
- I have provided multiple references for this release date. You can accept the article now. --Nicholas0 (talk) 23:23, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
WAM ambassador 2019
[edit]Hi there! I'm sure you're super busy with judging, but I hope you're able to answer something I've had on my mind. Last year I had the most articles on English Wikipedia during Wiki Asia Month (31), but I wasn't added to the ambassador list by a judge. Did enwiki decide not to do ambassadors last year? If not, is there some way to get my name added to the list? I don't want to add it myself because I wasn't a judge or anything... I feel like it would look weird. Thanks so much! New Page Patrol December Newsletter
[edit]Hello Narutolovehinata5/Archives,
- Year in review
It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

DYK for Liyuu
[edit]On 13 December 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Liyuu, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Chinese cosplayer Liyuu is also an anime musician? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Liyuu. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Liyuu), and it may be added to the statistics page if it received over 400 views per hour. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Your GA nomination of Madoka Kaname
[edit]The article Madoka Kaname you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Madoka Kaname for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility.
