Question from LukePerry124 (20:50, 24 October 2024)

[edit]

How do you make a page about something? I am only 7 years old and on this website, and why do they make captcha "what does this text say" just nonsense words ;-; --LukePerry124 (talk) 20:50, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @LukePerry124, If you want to make a page you should first make sure it meets our notability requirements, which means that it has been the subject of substantial coverage in reliable sources, like newspapers or books. If it has, I'd recommend using the articles for creation process, which is pretty helpful, in my experience. Eddie891 Talk Work 22:46, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any ideas for pages.. can you pls give me one LukePerry124 (talk) 22:08, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@LukePerry124, a great way to get involved is just by editing existing articles that need work! I'd suggest looking at topics you are interested in. Maybe let me know and I can try to help you out? If not, WP:REQUESTED includes a list of possibly notable topics that you could take a look at. Let me know, and good luck! Eddie891 Talk Work 22:14, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from We're Going To The Forest (18:15, 17 November 2024)

[edit]

Hi! How do you create a Wikipedia page? :) --We're Going To The Forest (talk) 18:15, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @We're Going To The Forest! I would suggest using the Articles for creation process, where you can create a draft and work on it for a bit before publishing the actual article. Eddie891 Talk Work 19:40, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from James Feely6 (14:26, 21 November 2024)

[edit]

Hello Eddie,

How are you ?:)

I was wondering if you could advise me on something please. I am looking to create my own Wikipedia page but at what stage will wikipedia recognise my account as a page that can publish my own written material? and what do I need to do to get there? Ideally I can get it done in the next month.

Thanks, James --James Feely6 (talk) 14:26, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
