You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Southern Guild, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This page is extremely important in order to optimise the representation of female contemporary artists. The entry is aligned with Wikipedia's policies on neutrality, reliable sourcing and biographies of living people and galleries.
Emily Gernild is one of the most important female artists working in Denmark today. Her work is owned by the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and the Prince of Belgium. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she is part of a new movement of female artists in Denmark. It is extremely important that people know about female artists. There are so many male artists featured on Wikipedia and it would be good to raise awareness around more female artists.
The entry is aligned with Wikipedia's policies on neutrality, reliable sourcing and biographies of living people. Moceroci (talk) 18:19, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Moceroci! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Emily Gernild that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. @Kj cheethamthank you for alerting me to this and I'm sorry if I have done anything wrong. I am doing my best to meet the standards for this entry. And have edited according to the valuable feedback from the community. I will make sure to keep your advice in mind for the future when editing an entry. Again, I;m sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.
It looks like the entry for this female artist will be deleted anyway as it's not enough that she is included in two museum collections, have one book published, has been part of museum exhibitions and the entry has 24 references. Please follow the discussion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Emily_Gernild Moceroci (talk) 16:46, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't worry too much about my comment above, but it's something to keep in mind for the future. I've not reviewed for article for notability so can't really comment on that. -Kj cheetham (talk) 16:48, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Emily Gernild requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Emily Gernild. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Due to the objection and the initial deletion of this article and with the aim to include more female artists on Wikipedia, I have done additional research about the artist so it meets the criteria for a notable person according to Wikipedia standards. I have addressed ALL the reasons listed by the Wikipedia community, and done additional research and rewritten the article to meet the standards so it's NOT deleted.
All information is backed up by articles from credible newspapers, books, YouTube interviews with museum directors and museum websites. The artist work is included in the permanent collections of two museums and the Danish states official art foundation ’Statens Kunstfund’. The artist has had several solo exhibitions and has two exhibition catalogues published. She is included in the publication 'Touched - Danish Art in the New Millennium’ by art critic Maria Kjær Themsen. Gernild’s work has been compared to the female painters Anna Ancher, Christine Swane and Anna Syberg. And a solo exhibition about her work compared with Christine Swane of the Funen Painters was staged in 2019 at Roennebaekshom Museum. She has been part of group exhibitions at renowned museums. Gl. Holtegaard Museum just announced that they will host a solo exhibition on Emily Gernild work in 2023.
I nominate this article to be included on Wikipedia as Emily Gernild is a notable artist. It is of interest to the public to learn more about female artist and connection to other female painters throughout history. I will be able to link her to several other Wikipedia articles. It will therefore not be an orphan. Moceroci (talk) 21:00, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Emily Gernild

Hello, Moceroci,

Recreating this article in main space will result in the page being deleted according to CSD G4 criteria. A better solution is to create a draft and submit it for approval to Articles for Creation. That is the only way I know to overcome an AFD decision to "Delete" an article. If you wish, I will restore the article and move it to Draft space so you can pursue this avenue. Liz Read! Talk! 00:50, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@LizHi Liz, this is a great option. I would be grateful if you could recreate the page as suggested and I will submit it for approval. I have done extensive research on the subject now and updated the text so hoping it's possible to add to Wikipedia. Thank you. Moceroci (talk) 05:29, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@LizHi Liz, I have created the article but unable to find it. Would you be able to check if I have submitted it for review? MANY THANKS. Moceroci (talk) 18:11, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Moceroci. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:51, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have a conflict of interest (COI). I am interested in contributing to bringing more women artists and writers to the forefront. Hence my contribution. I am passionate about art. I thought Emily Gernild was a good choice due to her solo exhibition at Gl. Holtegaard Museum which was announced in all the major newspapers along the current reviews of the a group exhibition at a museum. Her work is part of three museum collections, has two exhibition catalogues, had solo exhibitions at museums, she is referenced in a book on the history of danish art - everything is backed up with articles, books and YouTube interviews with museum directors. What is different to the previous article is the solo exhibitions, and how art critics have compared her to the female painters Anna Ancher, Christine Swane and Anna Syberg - and the movement Funen Painters - a solo exhibition about her work compared with Christine Swane of the Funen Painters was staged in 2019 at Roennebaekshom Museum. I have added more objective context, more credible newspaper articles and focused on her overall importance in the danish art canon. Taking on board all the edits from the Wikipedia community a few weeks ago, and spending so much time editing and researching the subject further has made me interested in the article being published. I will be able to link her name to several articles on Wikipedia, so it will not be an orphan. I hope this explanation helps. Moceroci (talk) 05:44, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Jamiebuba
Thank you for reviewing the article on the artist Emily Gernild. I have read what qualifies as a Wikipedia article and understand this. But could you let me know why the below don't qualify? There's significant coverage shown, and by published reliable and secondary sources. I have listed four books, three articles from the biggest newspapers in Denmark. I have in addition added two interviews which I know you don't regard as highly but just wanted to give context. I have really really tried to do my best with the references and backing everything up. I looked at so many other artist profiles, in particular female danish artists and done my best to make the article on Emily Gernild much better. Her work is interesting in terms of nordic art history - the relationship with the funen painers and edward munch as mentioned by several art critics. I have backed this up in the article. I would of course like to work on improving the draft so it lives up to your standards and it can be created. Thank you again for your help and expertise. I'm grateful.

Julie Leopold Alf moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Julie Leopold Alf, is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 14:54, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mandatory paid editing disclosure

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Moceroci. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Moceroci. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Moceroci|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. ~Anachronist (talk) 16:33, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You stated on your now-blocked second-account talk page User talk:Moceroci2020 that you are not being paid to edit. Would you please explain, then, what your association is with Southern Guild? If you are working with them or collaborating with them, then you have a conflict of interest and you need to declare it. ~Anachronist (talk) 19:44, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have visited South Africa, and their gallery which was a mindblowing experience. I have never seen art and design presented in that way. I was so impressed by their representation of artists. I have seen that MANY galleries have Wikipedia entries, mainly in the west, and I was surprised that they didn't have one given their influence globally. I hope this helps?
