[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

If you want to keep making edits by claiming that "i am a brokpa myself so I know the religion",[1] then read WP:VERIFY and WP:RS.
Also, stop making undiscussed page moves. Read WP:RM. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 04:41, 20 October 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Minaro123! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Brokpa several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Brokpa, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 17:01, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

The page Brokpa, Drokpa, Dard and Shin has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. A belated welcome!
[edit]Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Minaro123! I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may still benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome! Kautilya3 (talk) 13:33, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Please see HELP:Talk pages for guidance on writing talk posts, in particular indentation and signing. You want to be able to write clear and compact posts so that the other editors can understand what you are trying to say. The purpose of writing posts is to convince others about your position, not necessarily to argue a case. Providing reliable sources to back up your claims is always a good idea. All the best! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 13:37, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
Slow down
[edit]Hi Minaro123, Regarding the comments you made in your response here, I am sorry for having claimed that you said "Minaro" means "Aryan". But it was there in the pages you edited, and you left it there. So, it means at least that you agreed with it.
In any case, it seems that you started out by creating new pages, which nobody observed and so you didn't receive any guidance. I just gave you welcome message a day or two ago, which has a lot of links to policy pages. I think you need to stop editing for a while and study them. In particuar WP:RS and WP:NPOV. These are fundamental policies on which Wikipedia is based, and they are not negotiable.
You cannot put here information that you think is based on your personal knowledge or personal experience. That is called original research and it is prohibied on Wikipedia. Wikipedia can only summarise information available in published reliable sources, and what is meant by "reliable" depends on context. If you are writing about some accident that happened yesterday, a newspaper report may be sufficient. But if it is about long-term issues such as culture, language or history, than scholarly sources published in journals or academic presses would be necessary.
All edits to Wikipedia are subject to editor consensus. It is your responsibility to convince them that your edits are appropriate, and find whatever information or sources are necessary to do so. You do not have an inherent right to write on Wikipedia whatever you believe in.
If you try to make edits without understanding Wikipedia policies, you would be wasting your time. And then you would find it demoralising. So, please stop editing for a while and go and learn about the policies. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 20:01, 2 December 2022 (UTC) @Kautilya3: you are right indeed . Thanks for the clarification brother.

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Brokpa, Drokpa, Dard, and Shin(Dardic Tribes). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Darchik. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 09:17, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Aryan valley. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Aoidh (talk) 05:07, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aryan valley that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 17:51, 24 December 2022 (UTC) @Kautilya3: It is also impolite to state a statement which is false and saying a one side of a story is always dangerous. please don't have a personal attack in Brokpa like saying " they have a dravadian dna " . The dna result also says they have a predominance dna which might be come from outside of Indian subcontinent, you haven't cited that . It hurts the sentiment of Brokpa if anyone is not saying a full truth about them . I always talk politely , and I respect the rule of wikepedia. But your incomplete and false statement about Brokpa have made me angry and depressed . And I had to say it because I couldn't take the disrespectful and deleting the a popular place Aryan valley where Brokpa lives is unfair
Bono-na Festival moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for creating Bono-na Festival. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and it has too many problems of language or grammar. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:58, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Trying to help you buddy
[edit]Signing your posts will go a long way towards getting you listened to. Resist the urge to argue with Kautilya3, who is wrong and behaving badly. But you do not want to edit war also, or people won't bother to help you.
I can only put a couple more days into this right now for reasons outside Wikipedia. Concentrate on finding sources. They do not necessarily need to be in English. Consider Urdu or Hindi or Tibetan or Chinese. I have looked at your user page and now realize that you don't speak those languages either, but maybe you can enlist some help? If not there is Google Translate. I could do that also but I should start with languages I speak well (English, French) somewhat (Spanish) and badly (Portuguese, German)
The last few sources you have posted were quite good and helped you a lot, I think. Concentrate on finding some more. Elinruby (talk) 04:21, 26 December 2022 (UTC) @Elinruby: Thank you for saying , it is not just my help , but saving region which has been using by newspaper like Indian express, research articles like :Indra Gandhi National art center , official government websites like leh.nic.un and kargil.nic.in and many more . Saving a Aryan valley region is for the betterment of the wikepedia that we are adding more articles which is well known and using by many sources. Dear Elinruby ,there are many local English news articles have aryan valley region and about its region , however those local newspaper and other national newspapers are not listed under reliable source as per wikepedia .there is no mention of those newspaper in wikepedia ,either they could be reliable as per wikepedia or maybe not , Well i think we have presented more than enough evidence of Aryan valley region to prove for its existence and deserve it to be on wikepedia .so aryan valley deserve to be a articles on wikepedia. Still I am searching about Aryan valley articles from reliable source and i will let you know if I found any in any language. Thank you Minaro123 (talk) 04:55, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Of course ;) I wouldn't help you if I didn't think it was good for Wikipedia. Let me know if I can help with questions about the reliable sources policy as that is something I do know quite a bit about. Bear in mind that Wikipedia, in general, does want to include new material if it can be shown to have some importance. The perennial sources list I was talking about does include the Express, so you are good there.
- However, a source does not need to be on that list to be considered reliable --- those are just news sources that have been asked about many times and on which Wikipedia editors have agreed. I saw an article on thewire.in, for example and wasn't sure because it said something about user contributions, but on closer examination the user contributions seem to be monetary, so I am going to look again. The main reason for the policy is to keep nonsense out of the encyclopedia, so if just anyone can contribute it is not a reliable source. The reason I said that that one book may not be a reliable source is that it may be a vanity press. Probably you can research this better than I can if you are actually in India. The question is whether anyone can show up with a manuscript and pay to have it published. In general books are considered reliable because a publisher has a reputation at stake and does an editorial review to ensure accuracy of the product. With periodicals you would like to see a stated editorial policy and an indication such as a staff box that there are paid editorial employees. This is why blogs do not count, unless the author is an expert. The policy is quite nuanced and there is also a noticeboard for asking about specific sources in context. I will ask some questions over there for you while I am still on this, as you already are working on a steep learning curve and I do not want to overload you. For reference though, the noticeboard is at WP:RSN. Ask me you questions about sources on the article talk page rather than here; it is good for the people evaluating the page to see that you are listening to what people are telling you and working to improve the article.
- I have been improving the English in a lot of the articles about the area; some editors are easily discouraged by minor errors of punctuation and capitalization that make a text difficult for monolingual English speakers to read, and my theory is that this may improve your chances of attracting additional helpful editors. I will see if I can request help at some applicable projects. I will also go through the history of these articles as there may be some usable sources there; if you were told that Al-Jazeera is no good. for example, that was quite possibly wrong, as it too is on that list of perennial sources. I am getting a better idea of the geography and history and may start adding to the article tonight. Feel free to tell me if I make any mistakes, but I will be careful.
- Bottom line, stop arguing on the AfD page. They understand that you want to keep it. Concentrate on sources. 05:30, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
overlinking
[edit]This is something you may have noticed in my edit summaries. Just to explain it to you: As a matter of style generally we wikilink only the first mention of a name. Only. So I have been unlinking subsequent mentions, just to cut down on the amount of housekeeping that needs to be done, mainly for the same reason as I have been tidying up the spaces and punctuation. Not a big deal, and I realize there is a steep learning curve. Just something to keep in mind as you are writing. Elinruby (talk) 11:46, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your comment ,Could you explain me about how to wiki link first mention of a name. I didn't get it clear . Is it that we can " " around a topic name so that it get wiki link or you are talking about wiki link a user while replying them .
I would be very thankful if you clarify that. Thank youMinaro123 (talk) 12:27, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
- Above I am talking about putting . Maybe I should have said "words" not "names". I was thinking of for example "Ladakh" or "Kashmir" when I said that, but the comment also applies to, for example, "stupa", if it is used more than once. As an aside, usually we would not wikilink countries such as India or Pakistan, and this too can be considered overlinking. I myself make an exception for smaller, less-known countries that someone might not be familiar with, such as "Vanatu". Like most Wikipedia policies, this is more of an art than a science.
- Since I am in teaching mode, when it comes to usernames on talk pages. username notifies the other user. username or username is called a "mention" and might not result in a notification if the user has opted out in their settings. Some people do and are annoyed by being repeatedly pinged. This is a small courtesy but nice to remember. Hope this helps. 04:48, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
I am out for at least a couple of days
[edit]I have some off-line matters that are becoming urgent. You might see me doing something that is easier for me in spurts, here and there, as I sometimes clean up wikipedia articles as a sort of meditation. I have a translation about French law that is currently on hold, for example. But this article has reached a point where it needs rewriting and more content. I think that it is pretty well established that the government uses the term, so I do not think the article will be deleted. Some editors seem to really dislike the name however, and it does have unfortunate associations, so you may have other challenges to it. I will come back to help you and will check on it in the meantime, but it is important to understand that the article does need extensive work still, and that you should be seen as working on improving it, even if slowly. So don't stop altogether.
Some suggestions for improvement: I was going to add "Minaro" to the Etymology section but the reference link for that in the Brokpa article does not seem to be working. This might be a problem with my laptop, which is underpowered and in use for other things as well. I do see what you mean about another Brogpa group in another part of India. There are technicalities involved in renaming the article that I am going to have to research myself. Perhaps we can mention in this article that it means "hill people" and has been applied to other hill people. In any event -- I am not certain that what I wrote about the Dards is correct -- please check. If we are going to have that section, we should probably also cover "Aryan" in it also. There also seem to be opinions out there that the name was chosen (it looks like it was by the former government of Jammu and Kashmir?) to get away from the associations of "Kashmir" with the Pakistani term "Indian-occupied Kashmir" and all of the violence that has plagued the general area since partition.
The term Aryan needs to be discussed as a trope of British colonialism and also in terms of the criticisms related to its misuse my Hindu nationalists. These are deep waters that require a lot of concentration on my part, as I am starting from complete unfamiliarity with everything involved, but I outlined a suggested structure on the talk page. Please do not hesitate to tell me that I am wrong about something, but remember that this section especially should be well-sourced.
The government mentions of "Aryan valley" establish notability for purposes of AfD, but they are considered primary. The newspapers are secondary sources, which is good, and at least some of the ones I have reviewed -- and noted on the talk page -- do seem to meet RS criteria. Since we are talking about an area, infrastructure improvements and cultural programs are relevant. I saw a story, I think in Kloos, about an oral tradition of barley coming from Tibet. This is relevant especially since the Ladakh Studies Kloos piece seems to be RS.
Some of the External Links look self-published. If you don't understand this issue yet it can wait until I come back.

While we are here, I prefer to be called "they" but I do not accord a lot of importance to the matter, and people usually default to "he", which bothers me not at all. January 2023
[edit]Your recent editing history at Aryan valley shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I have talked and asked questions on its talk page , however TrangaBellam and kautilya3 both were not listening me . They were not listening most of the people in talk . I asked questions ,and wanted to have a collaborative as you know but you were deleting even the relaible source of geographic part , rather TrangaBellam were adding the ' History of name ' , the opinion of anthropologies about its name rather than focusing on geographic part of the region . The article was looking more like a name dictionary ,rather than a geographical location . Minaro123 (talk) 22:12, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Stop reverting them
[edit]Like I said, they are bad role models. They are acting badly and I guess I am going to have to make a complaint about it. I don't want them to say that you did it too. Elinruby (talk) 00:57, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Name change
[edit]Do you think you can find a source for exactly how this happened? Elinruby (talk) 00:59, 3 January 2023 (UTC) Elinruby The Aryan valley was saved because dha hanu district was anotable country and it isa geographical place , rather than focusing too much on 'Aryan valley entomology ', it should equally be focused on the geographical aspect about it too, There should be a geographical brief discussion about it at the head of the page as well as there should be a separate section as ' Geography ' in which ,the geographical aspect should be discussed in detail . Definitely , TrangaBellam is a editing his mind and listen no body , i also disagree with them Term like' Designated by Tourist industries' for an region which is also identified by the government besides by tourist industries. The name changes happens as it is a natural for any region to changes it name with time to time .I have sourced to cite , however I am tried or all of these drama done by kautilya3 and TrangaBellam . Formerly, the were trying their best ro deleted the Aryan valley articles ,now they are Not writing the geographic part in detail of Aryan valley well and neither they listen us . Definitely , Adminstrator needs to take intervention if such monopoly/autocratic editing continues. Thank you Minaro123 (talk) 03:58, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Yeah. Making that happen is fairly technical, and I usually try to avoid it. However there is no arguing with people who are convinced they are right, and they are apparently convinced that this is a Hindu plot. Even if the Ladakh government is not a a Hindu nationalist organization. This is why I am asking you if you can find a discussion of how this name change took place. That would help the article in general. For purposes of the complaint, I am going to need from you a 500-word statement of what the problem is. It cannot be more. You should also save the links to the parts of the articles' history that you are talking about. I will show you how to format them. Unless you already know what a diff is?
By the way, your punctuation and word spacing seems to be improving, good work on that. Capitalization and spelling still needs work, though. It looks like you are using talk to type? If so it is having trouble with your accent. In any event, perhaps you could also look into an English-language spellchecker. But the most urgent request here is your statement; I will proofread it for you. Elinruby (talk) 09:50, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

I really need you to prepare a written statement though, as I have decided to file a complaint. Or you can file it if you prefer and I will support you. If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page:
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.
Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

Request reason:
Dear Admin,if you look at the Archieve talk page of Aryan valley ,there i was the first one who have had initiated a discussion About Aryan valley with Elinruby on various topic of Aryan valley , kautilya3 had opted for Deletion of Aryan valley articles and TrangaBellam was supporting it , However me and Elinruby had provided sufficient source which proves the notability of Aryan valley . However after the decision was to Keep Aryan valley, TrangaBellam had refused to discuss in talk page of Aryan valley and had an consistently undiscusion edit on the articles page of Aryan valley , However Elinruby and me convinced them to add the History event important of Aryan valley ,even i added a reliable sources , However TrangaBellam and Kautilya3 had reverted it . After i consistently added a historical importance of Aryan valley being an independent region in a lead ,The kautilya3 and TrangaBellam had finally got convinced and kept it in a main lead of an Aryan valley articles . I was the one who added the History section of Aryan valley that is Dha hanu district . I was really worried as there were no content about geographical section ,and historical event about Aryan valley .instead it massively discussed on the identity of Aryan in the history section, and the meaning of Aryan valley and genetic of the people was cited multiple times in a Aryan valley region article page instead of other things like geographical part and historical part of these region . I reverted because I wanted to add the historical and geographical section of Aryan valley after removing a the redundancy discussion of the Aryan and genetic in a region page . Please allow me to write the history and geography section of Aryan valley cited by the reliable source and please have a detailed look at the Archieve talk page of Aryan valley as you would get to known how TrangaBellam did a undiscusion edit . I feel it is unfair and injustice to block me because I have supported to keep the Aryan valley page after it is nominated for deletion by kautilya3 and TrangaBellam. And secondly i have added a statement of these Region being ruled independently by Brokpa chief . I am extremely sorry for reverting in these last few hour because I was tried of seeing only
A discussion ok Aryan identify in Aryan valley instead of a historical event in past, geography, etc .which are key important in any region .
Please unblocked me and i promise to add a reliable source and would work on history and geography and culture section of these page . I regret reverting and won't never do it ever again and i respect the policies of wikepedia. Thank youMinaro123 (talk) 20:36, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:
You seem to be trying to justify your edit warring even as you say you won't do it again. I don't think you are yet ready to be allowed to edit the article; a first step might later be allowing you to make requests on the talk page, but I don't yet think you are ready for that either; contributing in other, less controversial areas would help you show us that you can contribute in a positive manner. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 10:33, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]Please cite a reliable source in support of the claim that [t]he official political Map of Ladakh has a mention of Dha hanu region.
As far as I see, neither the official Political Map of India (produced by the Survey of India) nor the official map of Ladakh agrees with you. In case of an unsatisfactory explanation, I will request for increase of sanctions at WP:AE. Regards, TrangaBellam (talk) 18:31, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dear TrangaBellam, The map of UT Ladakh and J&k had a mentioned of Dha hanu in the map as I have provided the reference too .I have put many resources so that the editor would look at it and have a discussion before making a big chances.Sometimes i could be wrong , However my purpose is to help wikepedia and i don't have any personal gain, Please have a collaboration and discussion in respective talk page of an article. Thank you
- Please answer my query. You made a very specific claim; where is the source? TrangaBellam (talk) 18:55, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Dear TrangaBellam,
- 1: The map of UT Ladakh and J&k had a mentioned of Dha hanu near the Deosai plain in the map as I have provided the reference too 2 You could there is a written statement of Latest political map of Ladakh and jammu and kashmir It seems like a more detailed map of UT Jammu and Kashmir and UT Ladakh .
- 2: The political of The Ladakh and The India provided by you doesn't have Deosai plan But we all known that there is a existence of Deosia Plan.
- 3: I have put many references related to dha hanu in the talk section so that the editor would look at it and have a discussion before making a big changes.Sometimes i could be wrong , However my purpose is to only help the wikepedia to have a much more quality content .Please have a collaboration and discussion in respective talk page of an article. Please welcome if you have a constructive critisim. Thank you.Minaro123 (talk) 19:01, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Why did you feel that the map, published by "Indian Book Depot (Map House)" is the official political Map of Ladakh? TrangaBellam (talk) 19:17, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- My opinion:The political map of Ladakh and India which had been provided by you only have a few mentioned of places , The villages like Garkon, Darchik and Deosia Plan,Shaksgam valley and many more important places are missing from that map .However there is a existence of these places ,Plans ,mountains ,ranges etc . Personally I have seen personally, the map produced by Indian book deport are widely using in institution like school, office etc. And Indian book deport map has stated in side Title that the map is "Latest political map of UT Ladakh and UT Jammu and Kashmir"" and it is a detailed map . That's the reason I believed that i could be a detailed political map of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.Incase Indian book deport is producing a false map in the name of ""Latest political map""" then Indian government should have had banned it a long ago , however that isn't the case here .However i think there has to be a detailed political map of Ladakh and it is more likely to find the Dha hanu there . And please have a collaboration to find the detail map backed by government sources. Thank you.Minaro123 (talk) 19:35, 23 January 2023 (UTC)

Notice of Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a report involving you at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement regarding a possible violation of an Arbitration Committee decision. The thread is Minaro123. Thank you. TrangaBellam (talk) 20:15, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
I wish
[edit]You had asked me do an edit on your statement. But never mind. Seriously, if you have exams you should take care of that first. When are they? Elinruby (talk) 12:33, 25 January 2023 (UTC) Elinruby: Dear Elinruby ,I have a competitive exam in nearby future , the datesheet could be notified anytime between February to March. I really need to deeply focused in it since it is a tough exam, i would like to dedicate my full focus in exam , so I couldn't spend my much time on wikepedia until then.however i could or couldn't do a minor edits in these time. Anyway ,Thank you so much for asking me ,and please keep supporting the fact and keep helping the wikepedia to make a high quality content . Thank you Minaro123 (talk) 08:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- I promise I will keep telling the truth in this matter. You should focus on the exam. in the long run, I have faith that Wikipedia will figure this out but maybe not in time for you to study for exams. So you should do that first. Elinruby (talk) 23:23, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
My advice
[edit]Looking @ this good faith edit concern about English language grammar by User:TB seems legitimate. @ ARE what I am advising is as of now let User @Minaro123 focus on his studies. We take all concerned articles to draft space and each of us experienced editors will adopt 2-2 articles each bring them to minimum required standard in a years time and then bring to main space. There is no need of any haste. I am ready to adopt two articles in draft space.
My best wishes to @Minaro123 for their studies. Bookku (talk) 13:43, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for making this offer. I will help in any way I can. Elinruby (talk) 19:14, 27 January 2023 (UTC) PS I am not disputing that Minaro sometimes needs his grammar or especially his punctuation edited. This is not at all unusual in articles about villages in India, mind you. I provided a lot of links at ArbCom, but in particular I'd suggest a look at what happened to Aryan Valley after it survived AfD. I believe it was the evening of Jan 13 (Pacific Daylight time). But this wouldn't be at ArbCom if it were up to me. Elinruby (talk) 19:28, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Elinruby At times people busy in their political slugfest do not realize their avoidable overkill is ending up characterizing an entire tiny community. Use WP:DR at appropriate times. That said, still I suggest go slow, let things take their own turn. As of now, see how the articles can be updated with other relevant but non-contentious content. Bookku (talk) 13:47, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- I understand what you are saying but you don't understand that it is worse than that. Some of the stuff that got deleted was about growing barley and harvesting apricots. That's normal village stuff deleted for a treatise about how the people there think they are Aryan and they are wrong. Elinruby (talk) 17:38, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction
[edit]The following sanction now applies to you:
limited to maximum of one revert per 24 hours on all articles and limited to using articles for creation for creating new articles on any topic
You have been sanctioned for the reasons provided in response to this arbitration enforcement request.
This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. RegentsPark (comment) 18:55, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
Do the exams and don't worry about the appeal right now
[edit]Going through the AFC process is actually good from your point of view, since it puts evaluation of the article into the hands of more reasonable people, who will at least tell you what their objection is, which has been a problem to date. I was against the 1RR restriction being applied only to you. In my opinion this should be appealed, but that will go better once some time has passed and is absolutely not urgent enough to interfere with your exams.
@Bookku: I have been thinking about your offer. It is clear to me that there is some sort of visceral reaction to this Aryan narrative, which *is* notable but is getting in the way of writing simple village articles such as exist for hundreds or possibly thousands of villages in India. The eco-tourism is another possible topic, which I myself prefer not to tackle. The big over-arching story is the effect of the line of control on this community.
But to your comments about uncontroversial topics, surely the geography and economic development of individual administrative jurisdictions should be uncontroversial. I am hampered by a lack of knowledge about the local geography and of any simmering ethnic disputes. I have had good success in other areas with being fresh eyes on an article, but this approach requires that all parties be willing to discuss. What I can do is help with the English and knowledge of policies such as reliable sources. I am, incidentally, willing to help on other topics than this; I am primarily a copy-editor and it doesn't take me much time to run through a simple copy-edit for punctuation, idiom, and wikilinks.
What I am trying to say, in a musing way, is that some of these articles *should* be uncontroversial, and perhaps we can start there.
@Minaro123: Come Back after exams, and we will discuss what we've discovered. What do you think? Elinruby (talk) 20:52, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
(I removed something I said, because it was a mistake. You are allowed to discuss these topics, as someone pointed out to me.) Elinruby (talk) 07:39, 30 January 2023 (UTC))
