Question from GlobalCruises (22:29, 6 November 2024)
[edit]Hi Batty! I work in the Shore Excursion sector and noticed there's no Shore Excursion page in Wikipedia under the Cruise one. I would love to create this page, how do I get started and then link it to the cruise page? --GlobalCruises (talk) 22:29, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Lucia0521creativity. Hi there! Thank you for changing your username. Please note that Wikipedia is not the place to promote your business or industry. I see that shore excursions are mentioned on the Cruise ship article. You might want to start a discussion at Talk:Cruise ship to see if other editors interested in cruises believe that the topic shore excursions is worthy of a separate article. Be sure to include that you work in the Shore Excursion sector as you did here. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 01:10, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
Question from The real Ryan Bundy (20:49, 11 November 2024)
[edit]Hello, Gowing Batty. I am attempting to correct false information on a page that is in my name and about me. I have been making edits which corrects false information on the page and inserts the truth. Others continually undo the edits. How may I make the truth be known and my edits permanite --The real Ryan Bundy (talk) 20:49, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
- @The real Ryan Bundy: Hi there! Wikipedia articles are written based on what is published based on independent reliable sources, not by the subject of the article. I see some editors have posted some information on your talk page. Trying to take in all the information can be challenging. I suggest on focusing on two points.
- Since you've been blocked, I suggest this step from the blue box on your talk page: "If you choose to keep your current username, please send an email to info-enwikimedia.org including your real name and your Wikipedia username to receive instructions from our volunteer response team about account verification."
- Once you're unblocked, then I suggest this step from Wikipedia:FAQ/Article subjects: "make an edit request, preferably through the Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard. The wizard will guide you on how to make an edit request." This will alert other Wikipedia editors, who can provide additional assistance. I suggest making one request at a time, and not trying to get everything fixed at once.
- Hope this helps! GoingBatty (talk) 22:47, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
