If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hyderabad Press Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Thank you - and my pleasure! It was good to see a good old-fashioned five-day match too. Maybe the bowlers can have more impact in the other two matches. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:14, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
The curators certainly made no mistake on this one to ensure a runfest buffet (sprinkled with some UAE salt?) :p Definitely looking forward to the bowlers making a comeback in the next one. Spin is the rumour (and there is certainly a case for it), but let's find out come Saturday. Mar4d (talk) 12:31, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Pakistan super league

Hey, I saw your comment on a fellow editor's talk page regarding creation of article about Pakistan Super League on Kashmiri wikipedia.

Is it possible if you could create a stub level article for Pakistan Super League on the Kashmiri Wikipedia? We are trying to get versions of the article into as many local/regional languages as possible. Your help would be greatly appreciated (and rewarded with a thankful barnstar)   Mar4d (talk) 02:34, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

2022 vote of no confidence in the khan minsitry

Hello, I saw that you moved the 2022 Pakistani political crises article to 2022 vote of no confidence in the Imran Khan ministry. I think the old is better suited due to the fact there are several activities going on simultaneously, the reference in court, political rallies, the appointment of COAS, Punjab no confidence motion, the planned senate motion and KPK motion too. I think we will be able to better cover the whole situation with the old name. Elmisnter! (talk) 18:35, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Hi Elminster Aumar. The vote of no confidence needs its own article, regardless of the events above. I can't comment on the individual notabilities of each of the above, but if you feel there should be another article on the political crises, you're welcome to write one. However, the no-confidence vote article should exist outside of that as that is individually a notable event on its own. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 06:20, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi @Mar4d, actually I did write an article, which was moved and then re-moved and then someone completely copied the article and pasted it in another article.
now my article is completely gone, and my writing is credited to a user who did no research and posted completely without any discussion.
all of this could have been done with discussion and with everyone's comments.
now I am trying to figure out to merge histories so I can claim the credit for my writing. Elmisnter! (talk) 06:39, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Elminster Aumar I understand. I can't comment on why MasterOfMetaverse merged the larger article into the shorter one. Before the merge was made, I did leave a message on the talk page of the user who authored the second article, Ainty Painty, where I had suggested that the newer article should be copied into the existing, larger one [1]. But the reverse was done. In any case, when MasterOfMetaverse performed the merge, I can see some form of attribution was made [2], so at least your claim to authorship is still maintained. Unfortunately there is not much else I can help with here. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 06:22, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
@Mar4d: a correction is required in that Ainty Painty's article was the first & older article made on the said topic however small, which is why I copied the newer article into it. Secondly, Elminster Aumar, I don't think there's a political crises in Pakistan right now. Whatever other political moves you have mentioned above, could be detailed into Pakistan Democratic Movement if they can't have a standalone article or if it's a stretch to mention them here. In a democratic country, no-confidence motion is a routine move. If it succeeds and Imran Khan refuses to let go of PMship, then it turns into a 'political crises' per se. MasterOfMetaverse (talk) 05:07, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
Hi, there has to be a discussion on what should be done, we cannot simply take one sided actions.
Also I noticed that you mentioned there is no political crises in Pakistan, at the same time you you restarted the article while I had created in the first place :) Elmisnter! (talk) 12:07, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Cricketer Khan

Hi Mar4d. Since Imran Khan is in the news these days I moseyed over to his page and was surprised to see that there are no images from his cricketing career. Any chance that you, or one of your talk page stalkers, can find something that is usable? He was, after all, a cricketing icon. Regardless, good to see you're still here and I hope you're doing well!--RegentsPark (comment) 19:39, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

RegentsPark Good to hear from you! You're right, I just looked around and there's no images of him from the cricketing days. I remember there used to be one of him from the 1992 World Cup though it got deleted for whatever reason. Since I don't really edit cricket-related articles that often and have limited knowledge of licensing requirements, I've dropped a request at WikiProject Cricket. Hopefully, someone would be able to volunteer and find us something. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 04:58, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

Ali Sethi

Hi Mar4d, and thanks for your recent edits to Ali Sethi. I am reaching out to discuss with you if it's appropriate to characterize Sethi as a "queer artist" on his Wikipedia page and add categories of 'Queer musicians' and 'LGBT singers from Pakistan' to the page. I know the New Yorker profile makes references to this — somewhat in passing, one might argue. Is that enough to substantiate these descriptions and categories? I am concerned that this might be seen as "an attempted outing" as per WP:OUTING, especially since no actual 'coming out' has occurred that I know of. I could be wrong, so I wanted to get your thoughts on this sensitive issue. Do we maybe also want to get input from other editors about this? Lemme know what you think. Thanks. Priyanka2330 (talk) 16:09, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

Thanks Priyanka2330. FYI, WP:OUTING is for users who edit Wikipedia – it isn't for biographic articles. My edits were based on the New Yorker article, which on at least two occasions, makes solid reference to Sethi's queer identity. Given that this identity also ties into his music, his philosophy, and style of poetry (e.g. the song Rung, which very publicly advocates LGBT), I don't see why this would be problematic at all. Mar4d (talk) 06:01, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for your input and for all your contributions to Wikipedia! :) take care. Priyanka2330 (talk) 01:58, 22 May 2022 (UTC)

Propaganda edits by Afghan user

This afghan user "Khestwol" involved in ethnic nationalism and Pro-Afghan based propaganda edits on Pakistan and Pashtun related articles, Kindly revert his recent edits at Malala Yousafzai-[3] He is removing mention of founder of Pakistan, "Muhammad Ali Jinnah" and Pakistani military intervation in region during TTP rule from article, He is making ethic nationalism based edits on article.

recently he also renamed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan article into Pakistani Taliban and making edits there wich are totally against WP:POV. I checked he made hundreds of edits like this and still doing on Pashtun Durand line and specially at PTM topics, I can give many examples. Previous month I reverted his propaganda edit at North-West Frontier Province-[4] 103.141.159.229 (talk) 14:44, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi 103.141.159.229, thanks for your message. I've not had enough time to review all the pages you've raised concern with, but that's not to suggest that your concerns can't be valid (indeed, they may very well be). I will tag Khestwol to allow him the opportunity to respond to the above. On first look, the edit at Malala was probably correct because the source cited for that particular statement only mentions Benazir Bhutto; however, the section right below it notes Jinnah as one of her inspirations, so the information wasn't really 'removed' from the article.
I do however agree that the move request at Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan should have had more consensus, because I see only one vote, and I don't think the move was correct. Common terminology is important, but all five criteria under WP:TITLE should be referred to when choosing to name articles appropriately. WP:COMMONNAME notes that Ambiguous or inaccurate names for the article subject, as determined in reliable sources, are often avoided even though they may be more frequently used by reliable sources.. "Pakistani Taliban" isn't really the name of any organisation, but is rather just informal shorthand for the group known as "TTP". More significantly, the TTP themselves don't refer to themselves as such, and neither do the vast majority of Pakistani sources including the Urdu press. Neither is WP:GOOGLEHITS a good enough argument to warrant the name change, because going by the same argument, a search for "Pakistani Taliban" in Urdu (پاکستانی طالبان) returns 14,600 results whereas the name "Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan" (تحریک طالبان پاکستان) returns a staggering 547,000 results in comparison. To imply that it is way off the mark would be an understatement! Mar4d (talk) 16:27, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Right, Moving of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan can't meets WP:COMMONNAME criteria, moving must be re-discussed, This user moved many Pakistani articles by labeling them as "WP:COMMONNAME". Recently i nominated and restored Miranshah back to original from his moved of "Miramshah".

Soon i will report his other controversial, propaganda edits and page moves to wikipedia administrators. 103.141.159.229 (talk) 09:44, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Karachiites

Hello, Mar4d

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Karachiites for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Policy information

Dear Mar4d I was hoping to get some advice on the edits of banned users can they be removed if they have been spotted after a while ? these edits were all made by banned editors [6] [7] [8] surely we can delete them ass they are still present ? RehanSadiques (talk) 07:44, 4 September 2022 (UTC)

I have been watching the article on Rape in Pakistan for a while and it seems allot of Indian sock editors have made edits which still remain on there same with the article Child Sexual Abuse as you know the motivations of allot of these nationalist Indian editors is to spread misinformation and as banned editors they should be denied any chance to edit. RehanSadiques (talk) 07:47, 4 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi RehanSadiques. If the edits have been made by a banned or disruptive editor as you point out, they can be reverted in line with policy. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 07:49, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for replying I am slightly apprehensive because allot of Indian editors hound these articles and may support the banned editors additions do you think I should report this to administrator so they can delete it for me? RehanSadiques (talk) 08:04, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
