Says who?

Says who? you asked.

Here are few RS: FIRST SECOND THIRD Fourth FIFTH At this point, I don't wish to bore you with the multiple RS available on the internet. Caleb Ndu (talk) 18:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

@Gråbergs Gråa Sång I wish to inform you that I have reinstated the formal name on the article page Simon Ekpa. Best regards. Caleb Ndu (talk) 19:14, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Caleb Ndu What makes this a "formal" name? Per your cites, it's just a name. If you look at other articles beside royalty and similar, there is very very seldom a "formal" name. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:58, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång
The first two references cited were official athletic websites that covererd Ekpa even before he became a politician. The name "Ekpa Simon Njoku" in my own view highly seems to be his official name used on documents in Finland and Nigeria. That's why he was recognized by such long before he became popular. It is a conventional and formal name which needed to appear on the lead for clarity. I have seen your contraction on the lead in regards the formal name but again, it needs enhancement to include 'formal' or 'official '. Caleb Ndu (talk) 21:13, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Caleb Ndu No, I think the other way around is more reasonable: [1]. Compare Roque Olsen or Obama or Martin Sheen. I guess we could also remove Simon Ekpa from the lead, but IMO that would look weird. We can continue discussing this at article talk if necessary. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:31, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång Great, this is a brilliant perception from you. I think we should leave the lead as it is right now. Your last modifications really improved the clarity. Not necessary to escalate in the talk page. Caleb Ndu (talk) 21:54, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång Leave Simon Ekpa in the lead but What I intend to do now is to remove Simon Ekpa from the Infobox and replace with Ekpa Simon Njoku . How do you see it? Caleb Ndu (talk) 21:58, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Caleb Ndu No, per Template:Infobox_person#Parameters it's supposed to be "Common name of person" at the top. See again my 3 examples above. Btw, you never have to ping someone at their own talkpage, it has no extra effect. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 22:04, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
@Gråbergs Gråa Sång
Ok. I won't make the edit. I have learned so much from you today. Please, if I may ask, what's ping concept on Wikipedia and how did I ping you? I mean, I didn't even know I was pinging you? Caleb Ndu (talk) 22:14, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Ping is the @hyper-linked user-name thing. When I do it here, like so, @Caleb Ndu, you get a WP:NOTIFICATION, little "red light" right? If I do it on an article talkpage, same thing. But when it's on my talkpage, I get the notification light just by you writing here. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 22:24, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Though I haven't fully grasped the context but with time, I will adapt. From what I understood, I should not use the "find user" button while on your talk page. You are my most engaging Mentor. Caleb Ndu (talk) 22:42, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Yeah, "find user" is the relatively new way to ping, you used to have to type the code. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 22:54, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Oh well. Hope springs eternal. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:05, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

Question from Lisaready123GO (13:06, 21 April 2024)

Hello I want to create an anime comic with pictures and so on . so how do i start --Lisaready123GO (talk) 13:06, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

@Lisaready123GO Hello! Well, you pick a different website. Wikipedia is not the place to write fiction, though we do write about fiction. You can try asking for advice at Wikipedia:Reference desk/Entertainment. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:23, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

Question from Gaëlle Ibrahim on User:Gaëlle Ibrahim/sandbox (13:29, 23 April 2024)

Hello,

I created a sandbox page and clicked on "publish it". But i feel like the page has not been published. The name of the page is "Oui Management"- and I would like to make it public.

Thank you

Gaëlle --Gaëlle Ibrahim (talk) 13:29, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

@Gaëlle Ibrahim, Welcome to Wikipedia! In short, you are making the same mistakes most people in your situation are. If WP has an article on a company, we're not interested in what the company want to say about itself. Such an article is supposed be a summary of WP:RS independent of the company. If there is a WP article about this company, interested Wikipedians will look for, and find, and use, sources like this:[2][3][4]
Being blunt, as currently written, there is no chance this article will be accepted. Some recommended reading: WP:PAID, WP:NCORP, WP:PUFFERY and WP:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. Hopefully this will save you some time and effort. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:00, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your response. I checked the pages you sent and I'm a bit confused. So if i disclose that i work with the company is it possible to be published ? I could also re write the article if you think the way it's written does not work. I gathered the information from models.com which is a reknown source in the modelling industry, where models are ranked and that defines also the agency which becomes ranked.
Let me know what would work
Thanks a lot x
Gaëlle Gaëlle Ibrahim (talk) 15:30, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
@Gaëlle Ibrahim My point is that if an article about OM is accepted, you will have no final say on its content. Gérald Marie will likely be mentioned in it, sooner or later.
But yes, if you want to try working on this, you should put something like "I'm employed by Oui Management and I'm here to start an article about our company." on your userpage User:Gaëlle Ibrahim. Do that first.
After that, your first hurdle is WP:NCORP. No good independent sources, no WP-article, existing is not enough. Use these to write your article, see WP:TUTORIAL on how to add citations. Non-English sources are fine. WP:ABOUTSELF may be of interest.
When you think your draft is acceptable per WP:NCORP, you can submit it for review by adding this at the top: {{subst:submit}} Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:50, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
And if you should succeed on this project, tell your boss from me you deserve a payraise. @Valereee want to add any advice? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:11, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping, GGS. I agree that an article about this business, if you can prove it to be notable, is likely to contain a section on Marie, and some mention of him will likely end up in the lead, as that's most of what comes up on a google search of "Oui Management" when filtered by news. The Wikipedia article is likely to be the first thing that pops up on any Google search, and his name could literally end up in the google knowledge panel. If I were running this business, I would not want that. Valereee (talk) 16:51, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
@Valereee, thank you for that. And if you like, please tell the person I'm disagreeing with at [5] that they're wrong. Or that I am, even if I don't see it. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:50, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
He's not in the lead of Elite Model Management atm, but he's certainly mentioned. So is Oui Management. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:10, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

Re: a recent counter-revision of yours

Yesterday, you undid a recent revision of mine on the Christopher Langan Wiki page that I think we should talk about: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Christopher_Langan&action=history

Your justification was that the source given was in fact fine. But in reality, it's one man's interpretation of a single rather ambiguous sentence Chris said on Facebook. It's simply not the case that his interpretation of Chris' words is objectively correct.

The author wrote: "At times, his grandiose delusions reach epic proportions. He’s a 9/11 truther, but with a twist: not only does he believe Bush staged the terrorist attacks, he wrote that the motive was to distract the public from learning the “truth” about the CTMU."

His proof of this was that Chris Langan had said the following on Facebook:

"The CTMU has already been "all over the news", mostly at the turn of the millennium (just as promised); then professed Christian GW Bush and his decidedly non-Christian neocon vultures did everything they could to distract everyone by immediately staging 9/11, passing the PATRIOT Act, and invading Iraq and Afghanistan, thus immersing us in these last few years of Middle Eastern bloodshed[...]".

In this context, "did everything they could to" does not necessarily imply that "distracting the public from learning about the CTMU" was a deliberate motive of theirs in "staging 9/11". I asked chatGPT whether it thought the phrasing was clear, and it agreed it was ambiguous. Dylancatlow1 (talk) 14:41, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

The article has a talkpage, take this there. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:50, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
Alright, I'll just copy what I have here into another thread. Dylancatlow1 (talk) 15:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
Already done. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:09, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Ekpa

You reverted my edit on Simon Ekpa per talk page discussion. I submitted my own opinion over 48 hours ago and there was no counter from you. TBH, I assumed the subject matter has been resolved provided my constructive contributions to state that Ekpa is the Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile in Wiki-voice and not Leader. I think we all should go for Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard or what do you want think? Fugabus (talk) 18:34, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

No objection. You can also just WP:APPNOTE there if you think that's better. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:57, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
@Fugabus, I don’t want to assume bad faith but do you have a conflict of interest with Simon Ekpa? Why are you so invested on that page? Best, Reading Beans 01:49, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
@Reading Beans Apparently it's just a coincidence: User_talk:Fugabus#Biafra_Liberation_Army, [6]. WP:SPA, yes, WP:ADVOCACY, well I think so. But not a discussion to be had on my talkpage. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 05:19, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
Ah! Nice! They denied. Ain’t pressuring. But I think that this is too obvious. Best, Reading Beans 08:08, 25 April 2024 (UTC) Reading Beans 08:08, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Declaration of Simon Ekpa wanted

You added the declaration of Ekpa wanted but didn't add his reaction to that found here 1 2. I think that would balance the Wikipedia coverage. Fugabus (talk) 22:52, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

The place to start discussing an article issue is the article talkpage. Added. And if you're going to add refs in WP-articles, consider WP:BAREURL and WP:REFNAME. In this case [7], the ref was already used in the article, and it's easy to add a named ref [8] both with source editor and visual editor, whichever you prefer using. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 04:46, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi. I work for musician Jack Antonoff. You previously made some changes in response to my post at BLPN. I requested a few other corrections/changes here and was hoping you might have time to review them? Let me know and thanks for your efforts. Best regards. Replied at article talk. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:00, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

You added the declaration of Ekpa wanted but didn't add his reaction to that found here 1 2. think that would balance the coverage. ~~~~

Thank you very much! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:37, 27 April 2024 (UTC)

Attention please

My attention has been drawn to your use of Wikipedia:Advocacy editor to qualify and probably blackmail me. Whether your intention is to scare me away or from Wikipedia or not, it is left with your conscience.

I have documented these most visible cases for future purposes and reference. 1. 2. 3. 4.

Your attitude have indicated that you have made up your mind to bully me on Wikipedia. I may nevertheless be wrong but attitudes suggests that.

I don't know how you came about these frivolous accusations and assertions of yours of me being a WP:ADVOCACY editor. I wish not to make this a case but you continue to push me. I consider it offensive whenever you isolate me with that term. What prompted me to be added in that category of Wikipedia editors? What are your evidences if you are called up on Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents? I mean, how did I fall into a Wikipedia:Advocacy editor? It is just like me calling you Wikipedia:Conflict of interest editor out of emotions. I don't wish for this notice to you to be long until I hear your reply. Thanks. 10:28, 28 April 2024 (UTC) Fugabus (talk) 10:28, 28 April 2024 (UTC)

You know about WP:SPA already, and that is part of it. This [9] and this [10] is another part, but of course, inconclusive. I consider you a WP:ADVOCACY editor based on your edit history. I'm not the only one:[11] Do you think "promote a person's or organization's beliefs or agendas" is a reasonable view of your edits? ANI is rarely pleasant, but constructive results can come of it.
Ping @DougWeller@Bbb23@EvergreenFir@LegalSmeagolian if you wish to comment. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:47, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
Btw, your diffs 3 & 4 seems to be about the same comment. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:57, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
And again, make an effort when you add refs [12] per WP:BAREURL, please. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:31, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
And about this edit [13] you made on my talkpage, see WP:REDACT. If you want to strike through your statement, there is instruction in that link on how to do that. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:30, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
All my edits are supported by RS and not my personal opinions. I don't know why you have chosen to bite me. I edit just like you do. We are all Wikimedians and you were once new like me, if you were scared away like you do to me, would you stay up to this 15 years? Always correct me and not bite me. I wholeheartedly appreciate your correction on the Wikipedia:Bare URLs and I applied it here.
My attention has been drawn to the socking trends and I believe that's the reason for your suspicious attitude. All editors and Administrators you pinged are welcomed to monitor me and do the needful when necessary and again please. Your good work in keeping Wikipedia safe is seen. I sincerely apologize for the editing mistake made while trying to reply. You may wish to check this out on WP:BLP Noticeboard Thanks
Sincerely,
Fugabus (talk) 14:35, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
Very well. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:39, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
Fugabus with all due respect, if this is still about the Biafra Prime Minister, I think it is best to drop your opposition to the inclusion of "self-elected" as consensus suggests that it should be included. Until something changes I think there is a WP:SNOW chance of it being changed, so it is best to probably focus on other things on this site if possible. LegalSmeagolian (talk) 01:03, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
@LegalSmeagolian
Worry less about our argument Mentor. We resolved it on addition of "Prime Minister" but still have problems with having full access to Kuvalehti report which I have subscribed to. We will resolve also the issue of self-declared as well with time. «fjuːgəbʌs» (talk) 00:37, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Signature

Have you ever thought of adding Ekpa's signature to his article page? How do you add it? There are publicly available signatures of him. IMO, thought it should be there because other notable pages like Donald Trump, Rihanna, Barack Obama has them. Can there be any copyright issues there? Fugabus (talk) 00:22, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Never tried adding a signature, some guidance at Wikipedia:Signatures of living persons. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 04:25, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
I think I found this his signature on the press release on Yle per what Wikipedia:Signatures of living persons says and here from his X directly. I will look into how other notable pages got theirs added. «fjuːgəbʌs» (talk) 15:14, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

WikiProject:Biafra

I intend to propose Wikipedia:WikiProject Biafra on Wikipedia:WikiProject to enable interested editors like you to expand the scope collaboratively. I know you are of interest per your edits on Biafra stuffs like Simon Ekpa Best, «fjuːgəbʌs» (talk) 18:56, 4 May 2024 (UTC)

@Doug Weller Extend-protect the article affected for a year and I'll forgive you (rfpp turned me down). Or add your view in the current discussion at [14]. ;-) Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
Let me know if disruptive editing occurs again or if you suspect a sock. I’d rather wait until that given you were turned down. I probably would have protected. Doug Weller talk 20:25, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
@Doug Weller, hi again. Per current ongoings on that article and talkpage, I'd like extended protection, or the very WP:ADVOCACY-editor page-blocked or just blocked. If you feel like casting an admin eye on this, please do, IMO we're absolutely in disruptive territory. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:53, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
I might fully protect the article if problems continue. We rarely protect talk pages and I don’t see IP disruption. Doug Weller talk 19:31, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
@Doug Weller If you feel like it, see if there's a disruptive editor editing the article and debating everybody at Talk:Simon_Ekpa#Editwar_on_WP:LEAD_"self-declared"_again. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:51, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
That might actually have sorted itself out, or maybe people just went to sleep. Fingers crossed. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 04:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Hopefully it has. Doug Weller talk 08:02, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

Khalil Kain Bio

Please stop removing edits from Khalil’s page. These are edits being made by his family. For too many years now these edits have been incorrect especially relating to his family life. Leave us be. Thank you. 73.80.66.109 (talk) 23:13, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

Then read WP:COI and WP:BLP and stop editing the article directly, WP is not your social media. You can suggest changes at Talk:Khalil Kain, with WP:RS that supports them. If it helps, one of the reasons WP demands cited sources for facts about living people, is that while you say "made by his family", there is no easy way for people to know if that's right or if you're here to prank him. So, read the policies, stop editing the article and discuss at the article talkpage. Note that "names of children" will probably not be included per WP:BLPNAME, but sources matter. "Number of children" may be ok, but again, decent source needed. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 05:10, 8 May 2024 (UTC)

I feel guilty saying I was going to use one CITESTYLE in my next article (Madam La Compt), but it's turned into a crazy multi-generalization biography and I know that there are going to be a lot of rps. Just adding in the rps for two books I have in there now - that I just realized are going to need a lot of rps - it going to look like a pretty field of butterflies (that's what each rp looks like to me). Anyway, I am going the sfn route for this one, but I learned with Lillie Rosa Minoka-Hill that it looks much better with one style when there aren't too many rps. Question from KyleLGaming1993 (05:57, 12 June 2024)

so i was editing a List of Deadliest Catch episodes on the wiki to update a lot of info on them but I see that Neovu79 was also edint some stuff as well but I don't know what they were trying to edit and im not sure how I can with very easy looking around talk to them to find out as I never really use wiki to talk on before at all much less edit anything on here but all im wanting to know is based on there 2 edits what they were editing and changing cause I was working on the sessions 10 - 19 and I seen he had made or tried to make changes to the 20 one but I already did that one as well .. im just not sure how to ask them what they worked on any idea? --KyleLGaming1993 (talk) 05:57, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

@KyleLGaming1993 Hi! It would be easier to understand your message if you used (more) punctuation, but then, I mostly edit on a laptop. This edit [15] you did doesn't seem to have done what you intended per your edit summary (but it's good that you use edit summaries when you edit articles, it helps others understand what you are doing), so it's not strange someone reverted it. I know nothing about the TV-series, so I have no opinion on what should go into it.
You can talk to Neovu79 at User talk:Neovu79. The place to discuss the series is Talk:Deadliest Catch, but you never know if people are watching, and remember that people are in different time-zones, sleep etc. A more general place where interested people may hang out is Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Television. Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 06:48, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

Samuel

Some time ago you suggested I should watch The Story of David. I did. It's taken a while for me to make a comprehensive review/reply, the main reason being that the story of the young 'Samuel in the Temple' is my favourite story ever from that book. "Samuel. Samuel!" "What is it, master? Why did you call me?" "I didn't call you. Go back to sleep." Etc. Thus Eli. But in the film Shmuel is portrayed as anointing David in his sleep, making him king by a subterfuge, without his acceptance or acknowledgement. Which in my view is the ultimate crime. Is the case? I don't know or care, but that film shattered my last remaining childhood link to my parents' religion. Which I suppose is good, but it takes time. MinorProphet (talk) 16:02, 17 June 2024 (UTC)

How do you understand Current event in Wikipedia term? Wår (talk) 08:50, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Something ongoing that started fairly recently, like Anti-Defamation_League#Wikipedia_determination_of_unreliability? I don't think people generally refer to Israeli–Palestinian conflict as a current event. If a WP-article says "this is a current event", it's probably written wrong per MOS:CURRENT. DYK for Charleen Kinser

On 30 June 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Charleen Kinser, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that a mail-order catalogue offered a "Rocking Ram" toy, designed by Charleen Kinser, for US$1,600 in 1985? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Charleen Kinser. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Charleen Kinser), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Canvassing discussion - using AI to summarise

Hi @Gråbergs Gråa Sång, you look like you work in the closures area, or may simply be interested in this! you're the only person i've sent this to so far. We could potentially start using AI to assist with closures, you've likely seen AI expanding into various areas of life. For example as a mini-trial (or better term) I was thinking of a collapsible summary at the start of the canvassing discussion, with something like "Hi all, i see you've been waiting for a closure of for a week here's a gpt4o summary, while you're waiting, be warned it may contain hallucinations: 'Input: summarise this discussion please: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(policy)#Notifying_Wikiprojects_and_WP:CANVASS

Output: The discussion on the Wikipedia Village Pump (policy) page centers around whether notifying WikiProjects about relevant discussions constitutes inappropriate canvassing. Opinions vary, with some editors arguing that notifying relevant WikiProjects helps improve article quality by involving interested editors, while others caution against biased canvassing that could skew discussions. The consensus leans towards allowing notifications, provided they are neutral and not intended to influence outcomes unduly. The need for clear guidelines on appropriate notifications is emphasized to prevent misuse while encouraging collaborative improvement of articles.'

Actual closures still need close human supervision, but we can start using AI to automate elements of the process e.g. a timely first draft?"

What do you think? Hope editing going well, Tom B (talk) 18:55, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

@Tpbradbury, hello! Per stuff like [16][17] my default assumption is that using AI in the WP-context is probably evil.
That said, this sounds like an interesting experiment. I think editors would be interested in a way that could speed up rfcl, IF (<- BIG if). Consider taking this to Wikipedia:Village pump (idea lab), with an appnote at Wikipedia talk:Closure requests. Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#RFC:_The_Anti-Defamation_League could be another "test-case" and you could perhaps show a couple of "this is what the AI would have said" examples of closed cases. A few: [18][19][20]. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:24, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
thanks for response, yes i was concerned some people are currently fearful of AI. I've done a few examples of skeleton article structures by AI, on some talkpages, and didn't get a massive response! i might leave it for a bit then go to idea lab, like you say. thanks again, Tom B (talk) 20:45, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
This could be interesting in the afd-area as well. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:32, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

FYI ping to The Wordsmith in case reading long discussions [21] makes you want to try something new, though perhaps a little controversial. And thanks for taking on that mega-thing. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:24, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for the ping. It's an interesting idea, but I can't trust AI enough yet especially for something so important. It might be an interesting idea to analyze certain decisions after they've already been closed though. The WordsmithTalk to me 22:23, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
thank you, true. also it's not a case of using AI unsupervised ever. It's about using it to assist, it always requires close supervision given hallucinations, Tom B (talk) 08:13, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
@Tpbradbury@The Wordsmith, if you're interested, I came across this [22] which I think is more ai-use. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:08, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from Mai Kanuri (King of Kanuri Enugu) (11:43, 5 July 2024)

I want my profile to be publish. Is it possible --Mai Kanuri (King of Kanuri Enugu) (talk) 11:43, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

@Mai Kanuri (King of Kanuri Enugu), welcome to Wikipedia. I'm sorry, I don't have an informed opinion. Afaict, English Wikipedia has no idea what a Mai Kanuri is, and I see no mention of the title at Kanuri people.
You can try asking at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Africa or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Nigeria, the people who hang out there may know more. Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:01, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from EncreViolette (16:03, 9 July 2024)

Hello, and nice to meet you. I've created a few drafts for pages. I'm still not sure what happens next. I submitted one for review. (Draft:Frankenstein (2014 musical) There's some information that's needed that I don't have access to. I asked someone to send it, they sent it in Korean, neither they nor I can translate it. I've also created a draft for another musical called Cross Road. If it's not too much of a bother, may I ask what's needed for that one?

Sorry for bothering you. Thank you. --EncreViolette (talk) 16:03, 9 July 2024 (UTC)

@EncreViolette Hello! On foreign languages you don't know, one method is to use google translate, hope for the best, and then ask in places like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Korea if someone can please check your writing for horrible errors. It's not perfect, but it can work fairly well. You have submitted Draft:Frankenstein (2014 musical) for review, what happens next is... you wait. A reviewer will eventually accept it or tell you why they won't.
On Draft:Cross Road (musical), that looks like a good start to me. If possible, you should improve the reception section. For any WP-article, your first hurdle is always WP:NOTABILITY, and in an article like this, the sources you want for that are often some kind of reviews. As long as you have at least 3-5 WP:N-good sources, things should be ok. Since I don't know Japanese and can't tell a Japanese The Times from a Japanese blog, I have no idea if you have that.
One thing you can do if you want is using Template:Interlanguage link if you know that some of the people you mention have ja-WP articles but not en-WP ones.
One example is Kento Kiuchi [ja]. You write it like so: {{ill|Kento Kiuchi|ja|木内健人}}.
Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:49, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
Ah, okay, thanks. (His name is actually Ki*no*uchi, but a lot of people confused that in Japanese as well). Thanks! EncreViolette (talk) 12:23, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello,
I have added more sources to the draft for Cross Road. I get the sense that a top-5 newspaper is an ideal source, and a "blog", or something that looks like a press release (because it doesn't have a byline?), would not be a good source. But real life is full of things in between that.
I've found a bunch of sources that are not top-5 papers, but not just blogs, either. They don't seem like hard-cutting journalism, but some had bylines. Some were interviews with the cast. There were some with amazing photos taken by the outlet's staff, with no credit besides "staff". They weren't hard-cutting journalism, but they're an indication that someone thinks people care about this show. (tl;dr), Are those good sources?
The top 5 papers seem to only cover the top 10 or so theatrical productions, out of hundreds every year. The magazine Musical had critics vote on the top musicals of 2023. 47 new productions received votes, and of my personal top 3, only one received any votes at all (the directors of the two productions that didn't get votes did get them, though). That's just an indication of how much theatre there is here. Should the top-5 newspapers cover more? I personally think they should, but I'm just one person. I have asked Broadway World and The Japan Times why they don't cover more theatre in Japan. I haven't yet gotten a response. Are the productions that didn't get covered by Musical's awards notable? One was from Korea and has had several runs, and probably more coverage, there, and might have had more international runs besides in Japan. It's on my list to make a page for, but not at the top since I don't speak Korean. The work itself seems notable just because of how many runs it's had. The other had a lot of press coverage, and a review in Musical, so I would try it, but since the source material has a page already, it's not at the top of my list.
I've added the interlanguage link that you suggested, and I will add more. I have started a page for Theater Creation, the venue. I need to do more research, but I find it interesting. I will probably be able to find more sources. EncreViolette (talk) 13:51, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
Are those good sources? I have no idea. Some may be, some may be more or less WP:ABOUTSELF, etc. "Good" depends on context, and sources that do not support the case for WP:N may be useful anyway for various facts etc. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:13, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
> I've found a bunch of sources (online magazines and news outlets that seem to have replaced paper theatre magazines) that are not top-5 newspapers, but not just blogs, either. They don't seem like hard-cutting journalism, but some had bylines. Some were interviews with the cast. There were some with amazing photos taken by the outlet's staff, with no credit besides "staff". What I'm asking is if what I just described would count for anything for notability. EncreViolette (talk) 08:54, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
Like I said, I have no idea. They may be WP:BLOG-ish, WP:RSPDEADLINE-ish or something else-ish. They need to be independent and cover the article-subject in some detail. Use your best judgement, and assume that the reviewer will use their's. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:06, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
EncreViolette.tte, I have no idea why you have fixated on the notion of top 5 newspapers but that concept is of zero value on Wikipedia for evaluating sources. All we care about is reliability. If the top 2 newspaper in a given media market is a lying piece of trash, then we don't use it. If the #27 outlet upholds journalistic standards, then we use it. Cullen328 (talk) 09:16, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
What I mean is that the newspapers of record here do not cover theater as extensively as the New York Times does. Some people were saying that if it isn't in a national newspaper of record, it isn't notable. I searched the theater sections of those newspapers, and saw that only a very, very small portion of plays are covered by them, and that some that are not do already have English Wikipedia pages.
The anime and manga project lists the source I've found as reliable, even though it isn't one of the three newspapers listed for Japan on the newspapers of record page. I guess my question has been answered. Thank you. I hope the pages make it through review. EncreViolette (talk) 11:47, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for the link to the list. I hadn't seen that list before. It gives me a better idea of what to look for. EncreViolette (talk) 11:12, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
Great, that's what it's for! While it may seem like a huuuge list, it's actually a drop in the ocean. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:46, 12 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from Jeri1984 (07:27, 19 July 2024)

I want to create a Wikipedia page, not edit one, How do I do that? --Jeri1984 (talk) 07:27, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

@Jeri1984 Hello! Making an acceptable WP-article without knowing how to edit WP is hard. A common advice is to "just" edit for a while first, to try to get a hang of this place.
That said, your first hurdle is "Can a WP-article about your chosen subject be written at all?" Start with reading WP:BACKWARD. If you conclude "Yeah, I have those sources, no problem!", move on to WP:YFA. If your choice of topic fails WP:N, the article will not be accepted. If you decide to go ahead, you need to learn how to add references correctly, WP:TUTORIAL can help with that. This is crucial, and I can't stress that enough. If you intend to write about a living person, read WP:BLP. If you intend to write about yourself (WP:COI), the short advice is "don't."
As an example, when I start drafting an article, I begin something like this: [23]. Get the sources in there, then re-read them, then start adding text, citing as you go along. Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:49, 19 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from MV Moosa (12:47, 2 August 2024)

Hello Gråbergs Gråa Sång

I am new to Wiki and you are my assigned Mentor. Thank you! :)

A colleague of mine asked looked at my Wiki profile, (In my name which is Mohseen Moosa). He asked me to log on and repair/edit it because it was inaccurate not a proper reflection of my background, education and my bio history.

I did the edit a little while ago and a user said I must give sources. So I went back to instead to the edit on visual which shows my involvement in the edit. Another user then removed that edit.

They both have said I should ask an independent person to review my edit. Are you the right person to do that, or if not, how do I go about doing the edit.

I have not written anything incorrect or controversial, its just my own life story and short biography and its a very neutral, honest and fair bio.

Can you guide me?

I am happy to send it to you to have a look at it.

Kind Regards Mohseen --MV Moosa (talk) 12:47, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

@MV Moosa Hello. In short, stop editing the article. Take the time to read WP:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing, WP:COI and WP:BLP. A WP-article about you is not supposed to be written by you, that is sort of the point of this website.
A WP-article about you is supposed to be a summary of published and cited WP:RS that are independent of you, it is not your social media, or part of your PR. No good published source, no article content. This [24] doesn't work at all because there are no cited sources, WP:PUFFERY and other reasons. "Because I say I am Mohseen Moosa" doesn't work here, that is what your own websites are for.
You can make suggestions at Talk:Mohseen Moosa, and if other editors think they are good, they may act on them at some point. This may not be quick, since almost everybody you "meet" here has WP as a hobby.
Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 14:53, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for the guidance Gråbergs Gråa Sång .
I will place the edits on the talk page and wait for suggestions. That seems like a sensible way to do it. Please will you also have a look at it for me.
I was just recently made aware of the content by a colleague.
Some of the content on the page is just factually incorrect and makes WP look sloppy and unprofessional. Like for example, I AM NOT MARRIED TO DAPHNE NEETHLING!, she is my life partner, I never had a 5 year sentence!, my name is spelt incorrectly!, I was not born in Lenasia!, The reasons for the liquidation of African Romance are incorrectly cited! and there is a whole lot more to me than 9 years in politics! I am 61 years old. I am a winemaker, and a farmer etc ... LOL :)
So as you can see that WP is really sloppy if it persists with these kinds of inaccuracies and if they require "sources" to verify that I am not married to a person, or where I am born. How do I provide a source to show I am not married to a person, or that I was not born in Lenasia etc.
I am going to a dinner with friends now, I will upload my edits to the talk page after that.
Once again, thank you for your kind assistance.
Best Regards
Mohseen MV Moosa (talk) 15:09, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
@MV Moosa I will take a look. And yes, Wikipedia can often be sloppy and unprofessional, Wikipedians tend to edit what they please when they please. English Wikipedia has about 6,9 million articles and about 114 thousand active editors, so there is a lot of things that don't get a lot of attention. However we do like to get things reasonably right too, especially when it's about living people. Ping to @Materialscientist and @ToBeFree if you want to involve yourselves. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:17, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the ping. I have removed the most severe issues and would hope for MV Moosa to make an edit request on the article's talk page for something more specific than replacing the entire article. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 21:58, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from Newforgood (15:59, 6 August 2024)

I am the founder of a brand of hop water, which is a non-alcoholic alternative to beer. (Food & Drink) I am therefore bias. I do however feel that there should be a Wikipedia page on "Hop Water." but there is not currently. It is s frequently searched term on Google and other search engines. Currently its the fastest growing style of beer in the US, but is small relatively at the moment. If a page is created, I would want it to be unbiased per Wikipedia guidelines. What is the best way to go about finding a neutral author? I made the mistake of hiring a neutral author on Upwork and the page was immediately taken down due to the credentials of that party, but not because it was biased. (as far as I can tell) Thank you in advance for your guidance. --Newforgood (talk) 15:59, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

@Newforgood Welcome! What are the 3-5 best sources you know that are at the same time reliably published (WP:RS), independent of people like yourself, and about hop water in some detail? This excludes blogs, wikis, hop water makers websites, etc etc. Fwiw, you caught my interest, I've edited kombucha a bit. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:08, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
Btw, the default assumption around here is that anyone offering to edit WP for money is probably a WP:SCAM, but I don't know what you were promised. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:11, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
As an example, this is the kind of source that will make a WP-article "stick": [25]. One is not enough, but it's a start. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:14, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for supplying the link This is one of the many articles written about the hop water category. That article included my brand as well as many others. Should I just reach out to the authors who have published these stories and point out that there is not a Wikipedia page on "hop water" and see if they would be interested in independently publishing/ authoring one? Newforgood (talk) 16:27, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
@Newforgood I will take a shot at this, I'll get back to you within a week or so. WP is my hobby, so it won't cost you anything.
But again, feel free to mention/link any good sources you can think of. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:33, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
Here is the work that the independent researcher did. This should help you with sources.
Hop water is a non-alcoholic carbonated beverage made by infusing hops into water, providing a non-alcoholic alternative to traditional beer. Unlike other types of non-alcoholic beer, hop water typically has zero calories with 0.0% alcohol, and is gluten free.
== History ==
Hop water first started selling in the early 2010s. Paul Tecker of H2OPS, a California-based company, introduced one of the earliest versions of hop water in 2014, using hops steeped in water to create a carbonated beverage with the bitterness and aroma of beer but without the alcohol content.
Subsequently, other breweries and beverage companies began producing hop-infused sparkling waters, leading to more hop water brands appearing in the market.
According to NielsenIQ, hop water is one of the fastest-growing drinks in the non-alcoholic beverage category. Notable hop water brands include H2OPS, Hoplark, Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, Summer State HOP WTR, and Athletic Brewing.
== Preparation ==
It is typically made by steeping hops in water or infusing them into the beverage through various methods. Some brewers may use whole hop cones, while others utilize hop oil or extracts.
Additional ingredients such as yeast, citric acid, or natural flavors may also be added to enhance the taste of the beverage. The beverage is available in different flavors derived from the various hop varieties used in its production. Flavors can include citrus, pine, tropical fruit or floral, depending on the specific hops used.

Thank you in advance for tackling this and please take your own approach. Having a familiarization of Kombucha is a good background, considering that this is a beverage type that is unfamiliar to many. Hop water is different from Kombucha however in that it is not fermented. Both however are used as alternatives to alcohol. Best wishes. Newforgood (talk) 17:51, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
@Newforgood, Hop water is now an article. Like everything else around here, it's a work in progress. You (or your minions) should not edit it directly yourself (outside WP:COIADVICE), but you are welcome to make suggestions at Talk:Hop water. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:03, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
Wow - that is a very robust start to the page. Nice work! The only suggestion is that I would spell out "low calories" instead of using "low-calory" Is that an edit I should or could make or am I too biased to suggest edits to this page? Newforgood (talk) 18:40, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
Apologies - I have now noticed that advice is to not edit, but can make suggestions via talk. Thank you! Newforgood (talk) 18:49, 14 August 2024 (UTC)

As far as I can tell, there is no source that even mentions her marriage except in the context of the trainwreck of her divorce. I thought we had decided that there's simply no reliable coverage of her "personal life" and that we should just not mention anything about it until (the unlikely event that) some serious journalist takes a serious interest in it and she goes on the record. Like I say, I really don't want to get involved in a big controversy again. To me this seems like a simple "err on the side of caution" situation. Why include a source with such an explosive headline? Thomas B (talk) 21:03, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

IMO, this source is BLP-good for the statement, an ordinary newspaper. The accused/cleared by judge bit cancels itself out as I see it, but the rest is ordinary personal life stuff. The headline doesn't matter. Also, it adds some WP:N. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:11, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
How would you feel about discussing it at BLPN, separate from Jaydogg's proposal? I feel like there is a principle here: if the only way we know she was married and has a son is through an obviously sensational (and probably distorted) account of her divorce and custody battle, then we should simply not say anything about her family life. The "personal life" section is in constant danger of becoming a WP:COATRACK for WP:GOSSIP. Thomas B (talk) 06:38, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
I don't mind, but thanks for asking! Can be seen as a NPOVN issue, but whichever you prefer. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:51, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
That People story is a great find! Can't we just leave it with that as our source and delete the Mercury piece? (I think the "update" date of the piece is misleading, however. It must have been first published in 2015-16, when she was 41.) Thomas B (talk) 10:15, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
Good point on date, didn't notice that. What is a Wikipedian to do? I checked archive.org, but found no older versions.
As a matter of WP-principle, I consider The Mercury News to be the better source, and it's the one with 2016 in it. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:47, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
Yes, I understand that the MN article feels like better journalism. I think it is tainted by the acrimony, however, from BLP perspective. I don't think WP should be an archive of the worst things that have happened to people. I could be wrong about this as an interpretation of WP policy. I'll think about it a little more and then maybe ask the question at BLPN. Thomas B (talk) 11:04, 18 August 2024 (UTC)

Elayne Harrington

Sorry for swapping sculpture -> sculptor. I didn't realise this was the name of the course, rather than a description of Harrington. I still think the wording of that sentence is clumsy but I don't immediately have a better way of expressing it. I was also in two minds about the ".... was herself homeless in periods" given one possible meaning. Maybe "... homeless at times" would be better? Mike Turnbull (talk) 21:37, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

I'm still chuckling, thanks. "at times" is fine with me. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 21:41, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from Suchismita Pattannaik (07:03, 24 August 2024)

Hi Raydann,

Can you help me add and publish an educational institute page? --Suchismita Pattannaik (talk) 07:03, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

@Suchismita Pattannaik Welcome to Wikipedia. I don't know. Making an acceptable WP-article without having done any WP-editing is hard. WP:TUTORIAL is an intro on how to edit.
But your first hurdle is "can an acceptable WP-article about this educational institute be written at all?" Take the time to read WP:NORG. If you conclude, "Yeah, I have those sources, no problem!" Move on to WP:Your first article. WP:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing may be of interest, and you can try asking for input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Schools.
Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:18, 24 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from Thewikiacwizard (11:02, 26 August 2024)

hello, i have wrote an article that has been flagged and am wondering what i can do about it? --Thewikiacwizard (talk) 11:02, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

@Thewikiacwizard Hello! Assuming this is about one of the drafts noted at User talk:Thewikiacwizard, I can only guess since they're deleted and I have no idea on the content. Perhaps WP:NORG and WP:PROMO will have something helpful. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:15, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
hello and thank you for your reply. It was deleted so i wrote another article that complies better with the regulations however not it is being reviewed but it is saying that there is a problem with the citations. Are you able to see the pending approval of my article or help me concerning this topic. thanks1 Thewikiacwizard (talk) 11:19, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
@Thewikiacwizard I can see Draft:Community-Driven Coins in Cryptocurrency, at least for now. It largely lacks inline citations, is full of WP:PUFFERY and afaik crypto-websites like WP:COINDESK are in general not WP:RS. WP is for example not interested in what BlackAura has to say about itself, it's interested in what CNN and WSJ has said about it. This is not a subject that interests me, but you can try to ask for input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Cryptocurrency. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:38, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Question from SUGIRA Erasto on Wikipedia:User pages (18:09, 26 August 2024)

hi can i put AI in my html code --SUGIRA Erasto (talk) 18:09, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

@SUGIRA Erasto Sorry, I have no idea. Try Wikipedia:Village pump (technical). Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:50, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Regarding AFC Crewe Deletion

I'm not involved in the club t any more extent than i am involved in local football in my area of the country. I understood the club the club to meet notability guideline having played in the FA Cup yesterday meeting the criteria: Country-specific criteria:

England: Clubs that play or have played at step 6 of the National League System (level 10 of the English football league system), or in the FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Amateur Cup or FA Vase generally meet WP:GNG criteria.

How much more does the club need to do to be considered notable? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iblethebible (talkcontribs) 09:49, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

@Iblethebible New discussions goes on the bottom of a talkpage, so I moved this one. You need the sources that makes the Wikipedians who look at them think "Good enough for WP:N/WP:NORG." I suggest that if you want more input on this, you try Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football, and if you want to try again, submit a draft for review per WP:AFCREVIEW.
If you want, you can ask if the closer of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AFC Crewe (2nd nomination) (Liz) is willing to restore the deleted article to your draftspace, and you can keep working on it there. Hope this helps some. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:19, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for moving it. I have messaged the closer, i thought i should also mention it to you as you seemed very keen to have the article deleted even though it met the notability guideline I mentioned above. Iblethebible (talk) 10:22, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Well, I started the afd, so if that counts as "keen", sure. Other editors disagreed with you that it met GNG. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:27, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
It met the main GNG yesteday when the club played in the FA Cup though? Iblethebible (talk) 10:30, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Where at WP:GNG does it say "FA Cup"? It's not about what an org does, it's about what independent WP:RS write about they do. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:34, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia:NFOOTY
Country-specific criteria:
England: Clubs that play or have played at step 6 of the National League System (level 10 of the English football league system), or in the FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Amateur Cup or FA Vase generally meet WP:GNG criteria.
And this https://www.thefa.com/competitions/the-womens-fa-cup/results is not Wikipedia:RS in spite of it seemingly being so on many other articles? Iblethebible (talk) 10:41, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
"Generally", so that means that if a club has been in the FA cup, you can probably find the sources demanded at WP:GNG. If you can't, you can't. Also read the "This is an essay on notability. It contains..." box at the top of that page. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:47, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
I don't know why i bother donating to wikipedia. I spent lot's of time making that article. Meticulously finding, adding and editing sections, sources and links as well as citing multiple reputable sources.
An articloe cannot be made because of one reference to a famous perosn so the Ronaldo pages were added as a single sentence. The club must have played in the FA cup evidenced last night just before deletion today. Clubs in its league must also have articled aswell as the league itself having articles, this is the case. Multiple in depth articles referencing the club. All of this has been completed and referenced.
What more must be done before you specifically consider it notable or should i just give up? Iblethebible (talk) 10:56, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
You need the sources that makes the Wikipedians who look at them think "Good enough for WP:N/WP:NORG." I don't think we'll get any further at this point. But things change: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Meghan Markle. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 11:03, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Okay so the implication is they will be notable when they are at the highest possible level of fame and notoriety?
Over 8000 articles on wikipedia and AFC crewe is likened to a pre royal Meghan Markle Iblethebible (talk) 11:09, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Btw, if you think Liz got the close wrong, you can try Wikipedia:Deletion review. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 10:53, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
I have messaged her, you nominated the article i felt it necessary to address you as well with my concerns. It seems admins have a vendetta against the club which has many sources and is more notable than other clubs which have articles. Iblethebible (talk) 11:00, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

help to have a better wiki page

Hello here @Gråbergs Gråa Sång, Thank you in first for the amazing work you do. can you please helpp the community to fix the wiki page of the Italian supermodel Fabio Mancini? I actually don't know how it works and I'm sure you'll work on it better with rules. because someone vandalise always the page with errors.

here the page: Fabio Mancini

thank you a lot, you did a great job for the community 151.72.221.34 (talk) 09:09, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

For any WP-article about a person, you are supposed to summarize (and cite) independent WP:RS about that person. WP:ABOUTSELF sources are not of much use. Afaict, there's not a lot to improve the article with, but I haven't looked that hard. If you have suggestions of good sources to use, you can comment at Talk:Fabio Mancini. WP:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing may be of interest to you. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 09:22, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

I assume you've already been pestered to join NPP, probably several times, so I won't drop the whole spiel on you. Take this instead as one more nudge. -- asilvering (talk) 16:34, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Nudge acknowledged! Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:43, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
