Information icon Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Inside Out (2015 film), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and/or verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Chompy Ace 14:52, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Vagabond Dog (video game studio), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Control copyright icon Hello Fortunewriter! Your additions to Draft:Psychological drama (film genre) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 14:43, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh sorry, I never knew I was copyediting once. I'm apologize for this. Fortunewriter (talk) 15:10, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also I add few pages like "List of highest-grossing adult animated films" to make longer. But it's my first time that strike copyright violations for "Psychological drama" page or such. I'm really sorry for not doing that again. Fortunewriter (talk) 15:23, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. That's alright, as long as you understand! I have tagged the draft so an administrator can hide the initial revision, but you are totally welcome to keep working on it in the meantime. Happy editing. DanCherek (talk) 15:28, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from The Power of the Dog (film) into List of accolades received by The Power of the Dog. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. --John B123 (talk) 10:02, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Lawmage Academy cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lawmage Academy cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for creating Century of Birthing.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Categories

[edit]

Please don't add articles to categories unless there is actual (sourced) content in the article that makes it relevant for that category. Neither Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Suicide of Rachel Foster, or HuniePop contain any information about teenage pregnancy being a theme of the game, so Category:Teenage pregnancy in video games looks like it's not a relevant category for them. If you have reliable secondary sources that discuss the content of the games and verify that they are actually about teenage pregnancy, you can always add that information to the article, together with the sources for the information. Thanks! --bonadea contributions talk 16:15, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article Interview (2000 film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:NFILM as no reviews were found pertaining to the actual film.

An article you recently created, List of fictional characters featuring teenage pregnancy, is not suitable as written to remain published.

It might be possible to create a list of this kind, but I'm afraid this is not it. Where is the reliable independent sourcing talking about the topic? You got some very good advice at Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions/Archive_1155#Adding_the_page_"Teenage_pregnancy_in_fiction". All of that still applies, so please re-read that. Unfortunately it looks like your command of written English is much too weak to write articles; the first paragraphs would need to be completely rewritten because it is frankly hard to understand what they say, and it means that the article scope is very unclear. Even the title of the article is rather nonsensical.

When you feel the article is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Please do not move it yourself. bonadea contributions talk 10:27, 12 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:South Korean director Byun Hyuk in August 25, 2018.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:South Korean director Byun Hyuk in August 25, 2018.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:41, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Lawmage Academy cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lawmage Academy cover.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:43, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedians interested in Lars von Trier films indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. * Pppery * it has begun... 16:49, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea (2nd nomination).

I'm very sorry for deleting the speedy deletion, but there's no time to contest for deletion. Fortunewriter (talk) 12:45, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for deletion of Template:Content Warning Infobox

[edit]

Template:Content Warning Infobox has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the entry on the Templates for discussion page. --Another Believer (Talk) 06:23, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Fortunewriter,
Please do not use this template while it is being discussed for deletion. It is not your role, as an editor, to be the morality police and post warnings for readers. For every editor to determine, using their own judgment, what is and isn't acceptable would lead to anarchy. Your role is to improve articles, not warn readers about content they might object to. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 06:37, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Right. I was testing this CW that much on Wikipedia. Fortunewriter (talk) 06:44, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

An editor has identified a potential problem with the redirect Notice Box and has thus listed it for discussion. [edit]

A number of users have extended you quite a bit of good faith. I doubt they would have done so if they had known that you had previously been blocked as FriendlyTamer (talk · contribs) and had your talkpage access revoked by Yamla with the comment, "You clearly have no understanding [of copyright] and are continuing to place the entire project in jeopardy." As you are evading that block and have continued to have issues on this account, including with copyright, I have blocked this account indefinitely. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe) 12:05, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Inteobyu (2000) original movie poster.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Inteobyu (2000) original movie poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:09, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
