An article you recently created, 1983 Upper Voltan coup d'état, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1990 Sudanese coup d'état attempt, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page SPLA. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

List of mayors of Cairo

[edit]

Hi see you’ve created this article using Arabic sources. The normal translation for محافظ is “governor”, and I believe the sources show this is a list of governors of Cairo, rather than mayors. I wondered why you had decided ‘mayors’ was appropriate? All the best Mccapra (talk) 17:15, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Thomas Quiwonkpa into 1985 Liberian coup d'état attempt. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 13:38, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Creating new articles

[edit]

Hello, FengYuxiang24. It is great that you express interest in creating new articles on African history. However, please do not just copy parts of other articles to create new, stub-level ones which then end up with broken references and no new information in comparison to the parent articles, as you did with West Nile rebellion and Rwenzururu insurgency. Try to write complete articles; for example, conflict articles really need background information to be understandable. Applodion (talk) 14:28, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability of ideologies and positions of parties

[edit]

Hi FengYuxiang24. I reverted, at least partially, a number of your recent edits of West/Central African political parties. We should avoid to guestimate ideologies and left-right positions of political parties. These parties existed in a very peculiar social and historical context, where national politics wasn't necessarily cut along class or left/right lines. -- Soman (talk) 12:59, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited African Socialist Movement, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lamine Guèye.

Repeated addition of unsourced material

[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced claims to articles. Other language Wikipedias are not reliable sources. Also, please stop removing the party colour template from the German People's Party (Austria) article. If the colour is wrong, update the relevant module. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from Political positions of Anton Denikin to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. For example: Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, please add attribution retrospectively for that also, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 16:42, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
