Gene93k
Hey there! Remember way back in May when you supported Gene93k to be Editor of the Week? He was finally presented with the award this week. It looks as if Buster tried to ping those of us who nominated or supported him, but the ping didn't work (at least in my case). You may want to go to Gene's talk page and congratulate him. Hello, I'm Takeaway. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Deep frying, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Takeaway (talk) 00:21, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
- Per WP:CITELEAD, statements already cited in the text that are summarized in the lead normally don't have to have citations. When useful for a summary, some degree of original research to organize and collect the information together is needed for the purposes of summarizing. And see WP:DTTR, the

template is for complete newbies. Esquivalience t 00:47, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
- Oops, didn't pay enough attention. Sorry! :) - Takeaway (talk) 00:53, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Takeaway: Thank you for actually looking at my edit for referencing issues; Wikipedia fact-checking and quality control has gotten too lazy. Esquivalience t 01:05, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Your NAC close here was completely inappropriate, as the discussion was marked by controversy and was unsuitable for NAC action, and your comments pretty much amount to a supervote. Please undo it immediately. Note in particular the admin closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hitomi Tanaka, which shows the policy-based manner in which the involved issues are more correctly resolved. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo) (talk) 04:37, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- I stand by my WP:NOQUORUM close. There was simply not enough consensus to definitely keep nor delete; unless one !voter can verifiably claim to be Japanese or can comprehend Japanese, there should be input from Japanese Wikipedians or editors who know the language/culture to more accurately assess the Japanese-language sources given and ones that exist, and WP:NPASR means that anyone can immediately renominate the article for AfD pointing to the old one. If you still object, feel free to WP:DRV. Esquivalience t 10:38, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- What you "stand by" doesn't matter one bit. The discussion wasn't suitable for NAC action, and the basis you provide for it is ungrounded in deletion policy. As I pointed outed out, above, the point-at-a-Google=search without-checking=the-results argument was rejected in an admin closure just days ago. If you don't revert your improper close, I'm ready to invoke IAR and do it myself. The Big Bad Wolfowitz (aka Hullaballoo) (talk) 15:16, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- Because I'm sick and tired of arguing endlessly, I've took it to Deletion review. Esquivalience t 20:09, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

RFA discussion move template
Hi, I've found a problem with the "Rfan" template you have created for moving discussions from an RFA !vote. When I click the link following Eric Corbett's discussion from the page Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Thine Antique Pen, it takes me to the correct section of that RFA's talk page. However, when clicking it from WP:RFA, where the RFA is transcluded, the link instead goes to the generic RFA talk page. I hope there is a way to fix this, because moving these long discussions is sometimes a good idea. Regards, AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 07:58, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

I noticed you moved User:Esquivalience/Long-term abuse/Cali11298 to your user space as "no longer needed", but the "pending" category was retained. If you are no longer seeking approval for this LTA report, you might consider adjusting the infobox to remove it from the "pending" category, perhaps by changing the status to "archived". Hi, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but would you mind not listing non notable schools at AfD. Redirect is anchored in policy as an alternative to deletion and doing so is is not helpful to the workload of admins and others who have to keep track of and constantly close such AfD nominations. You are welcome to redirect such schools yourself at any time, provided you do so using the correct redirection template: {{R from school}}. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 09:16, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
- Adding to that - you don't get to close your own AFD, unless you withdraw it. So I've revised your close and co-signed it as withdrawn. I'm also removing the AFD tags on the articles - if you choose to redirect them as Kudpung suggests, great. If not, great. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 15:04, 22 October 2015 (UTC)

Bot automation at Wikipedia:Today's articles for improvement
Greetings WikiProject TAFI members!
Over the past two weeks, there has been extensive discussion on introducing bot automation to assist with maintenance of the Today's Articles for Improvement project. A bot has now been approved for trial and will carry out the weekly duties. The bots first run will occur around 00:00, 22 November 2015 (UTC) (midnight on Sunday).
If you have been assisting any of the weekly maintenance tasks, please refrain from doing so this week. The bot needs to be tested and proven it can do the job, and it only gets one chance per week. The tasks will include:
- Adding the new scheduled article to Wikipedia talk:Today's articles for improvement and removing the entry from Wikipedia:Articles for improvement
- Set up the schedule pages for the new TAFI, except the adding of an image and caption
- Adding {{TAFI}} to the new article for improvement, remove {{TAFI}} from last week's article and add {{Former TAFI}} to the talk page
- Notify relevant WikiProjects that the new TAFI is within their scope
- Send a mass message to everyone on the notification list of the new TAFI selection
Updating the accomplishments and archiving selections is still done manually, along with daily tasks such as adding approved entries to the articles for improvement page. These will become automated in the near future.
We hope the bot proves to serve well, and by carrying out the routine housekeeping tasks we can boost the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the project. MusikBot thanks you for your service in helping with the weekly tasks in the past, and for your cooperation during this trial period :)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Unless you object, I'm going to close this RfC due to the emerging consensus at Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship#RfA_clerking_proposal. Agreed? --Hammersoft (talk) 17:57, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Clerking is too complex of an issue to be hidden in the bottom of a large RfC that isn't comfortably navigable. Esquivalience t 20:35, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- Another way to look at it; clerking is too complex of an issue to have two RfCs about it running simultaneously, with one being advertised on watchlist notice in addition to both being listed at CENT. This is confusing, and potentially misleading as well. What if the results disagree? This is like trying to run two national elections at the same time. It doesn't make sense. Both Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship#RfA_clerking_proposal and Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship/Clerking_proposal_2015#Discussion_and_.21voting are indicating a desire to close your RfC. --Hammersoft (talk) 21:56, 3 December 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 12
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of video game genres, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Marital arts. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Discussion report
Election coverage (which I'm not involved with) is in NAN this week, so since that leaves only one non-election In Brief in the Discussion Report, I moved it to NAN this week. Gamaliel (talk) 19:24, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
CSD requests
Hey, Esquivalience,
I am wondering why you are creating the pages Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Archive 1 and Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Archive 150000 and then asking for their deletion. Where is this content coming from? Do the editors who are being discussed want this content archived or deleted? Neither of these pages have to do with the content of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship page so I think they should be archived on the editor's user page. Liz Read! Talk! 22:52, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Liz: It came from Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Optional RfA candidate poll.
{{Archive basics}}
was not setup correctly, so it archived to the wrong page. Esquivalience t 22:53, 12 December 2015 (UTC)- That makes sense, Esquivalience. I just hope that the editors who were being evaluated copied any information they wanted before they were deleted. Liz Read! Talk! 00:46, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
Clerking RfC
Hi Esquivalience. I finally got the chance to comment on the clerking RfC and suggest some improvements. First of all, the part about authorizing clerks to deal with incivility is not needed, since that was already agreed upon in Phase I. (See Wikipedia:2015 administrator election reform/Phase I/RfC#M: Active clerking at RFA.) The proposal (which passed) suggested that clerks should have the ability to deal with incivility, strike votes that oppose a candidate simply because the candidate agrees with an established policy that the voter disagrees with. The other two points (3 and 4) could probably be done by anyone without too much controversy. I'll be bold and make some changes accordingly. Biblioworm 19:55, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- I've made some changes to the main proposal page and the RfC itself. Please feel free to comment on my changes. Biblioworm 22:33, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
