Hello, and thank you for your request at Files for upload! Your request has been placed on hold because the article in which the file would be used is currently at Articles for creation. If the article is not accepted within seven days, the request will be declined. Regards, C F A 💬 18:51, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I thought I would add the image right now. It's okay, if the article doesn't get accepted, then there is no need to upload. I merely wanted to write some articles on application servers and review and update app development and developer centric topics. I can wait until pages are published before doing file uploads Cyto2015 (talk) 20:39, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cyto2015. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Payara Services, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Cyto2015. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Cyto2015|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. C F A 💬 18:51, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am not being directly or indirectrly compensated for my edits. I have no undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic and not paid. Servers and app development is a topic I enjoy and felt I could bring value by updating and creating pages around servers, that's all.
If you rather I stop, that is fine and happy to comply with Wikipedia's suggestions. I am new to this and learning! Cyto2015 (talk) 20:37, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, feel free to continue writing your draft. Thank you for responding. Happy editing! C F A 💬 21:11, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of application servers appears to have added a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Draft:Payara Services, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Deb (talk) 15:29, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Deb, I do not have a close connection as I work for a completely different industry (healthcare) and my passion and hobby is apps and technology. I noticed wikipedia doesn't have correct information and that much dept on the technical content and decided to write some pages and make updates. I am not a professional at Wikipedia writing, so learning on the go as well. If there is anything else I can provide please do let me know and happy to do so. I have no connection to the subject and I was going to write more on Wikipedia over other companies and technologies. Let me know Cyto2015 (talk) 19:30, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That should be all right, but beware of including too many primary sources. Just because a company says they are great or that they do X, Y and Z, it doesn't mean that's true. Use third-party sources wherever possible. Deb (talk) 10:42, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Deb, I will review and make these changes Cyto2015 (talk) 23:41, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have double checked and all references are third party as I realise the focus is to write about what others will say about a topic Cyto2015 (talk) 23:42, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Payara Services (October 10)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Not one of the sources cited contributes anything towards notability per WP:NCORP. Given this, and the multiple earlier declines, I can only conclude that the subject is not notable enough to warrant inclusion in the encyclopaedia. To avoid further reviewer effort being expended on this, I am therefore now rejecting rather than merely declining this draft.
