Tamil Nadu legislative assembly election, 2011
CarTick, I would like to change the flag of AIADMK to its original form of showing ANNA in the middle. So I was trying to find within Wikipedia and I found one as well (made by Wiki San Roze) as showing ANNA in the middle. But when I was trying to insert in the page the size was not matching with the DMK flag. So I made new flags for both parties matching with sizes by myself by editing the AIADMK’s flag made by Wiki San Roze (I hope it doesn’t violate any rules, please let me know about that as well). Now I want to upload both of them both to Wikipedia, Please help me with that, because I don’t know to upload the images here at all.{{help me}} -(Kathamarai (talk) 20:37, 12 March 2011 (UTC))

Sneak in
Maybe you don't understand the meaning of "sneak in." But now that I've explained it to you on the Talk:India page, you need to withdraw it. Otherwise, as I've said, I'll take you to ANI and they will then explain the meaning to you all over again. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 17:20, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- When you take some one to ANI, admins will scrutinize your behavior as well. I will not hesitate presenting ample diffs to show what you did with King Zebu, your disruptive behavior on Talk:India and several other long-pending issues. Zuggernaut (talk) 17:51, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- Gee, I didn't see Mr. Zuggernaut's edit here. You can bring up whatever you want, but CarTick will still have to withdraw the "sneaking in." Fowler&fowler«Talk» 17:59, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
- CarTick, Again, now that I have explained what the British Empire in India was and what "incorporate," means, you need to withdraw "sneaking in" otherwise, as I have explained, I will take you to ANI, and they will explain the meaning of the three words all at once to you. Paravar
Thanks for your support. I do not want to see the talk page semi-protected as it stifles debate etc which could improve the article. But it is just getting a bit silly at the moment. FWIW, I'm from Manchester, UK & can trace my own family back here at least 500 years, to a place called Tushingham_cum_Grindley - not a sign of anything other than the odd (very odd!) Welsh person in the English mix. - Sitush (talk) 18:47, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
- thanks again for the work. i have faced similar accusations and insults while cleaning up Nadar (caste) article which is still far from perfect. when i added the info that Nairs practiced polyandry, it was even worse. these guys apparently recruit men in social networking sites to fight in wikipedia. --CarTick (talk) 20:05, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Ganga and India pages full of POV ignorant pushers
Hi, I was wondering how the page is with the guys like Fowlerx2 & rgpk, who have no idea whatsoever that India is called Bharata. Wikipedia is going to the pits. These people are throwing 'factually incorrect assertions', on this discussion - [| pushing for no consensus]. Why are these people deleting stuff with excuses like 'nationalists' and so on, when the fact is it is Bharata and nationalists should have a say in these. What a bunch of loosers, who don't even know that Bharata is another name of country India, and that Sanskrit is phonetic, all phonetics perhaps could be explained by a page full of explanation - "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiva_Sutra#Text".
I am watching this user Fawlerx2 s activity in Hinduism section, and he is not going to understand Hindu symbolism at all, instead keeps on replacing stuff from British sources. Pathetic! Apparently, his sources are all authentic British sources, and surprisingly Baptists are writing books of Hindu Religion (which would be as good as a brilliant Hindu writing a book on Baptism as per his understnading)! The women, who heads Sanskrit division in Harvard, he mentioned somewhere, does not even know that Sanskrit is phonetic and you write what you speak! There are no silent letters and so on. Man the Sanskrit dept. in Harvard is not going anywhere anytime. ..असक्तः सततं कार्य कर्म समाचर | असक्तः हि आचरन् कर्म.. Humour Thisthat2011 07:17, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I am no N. Ram! Just an occasional lurker here.
- I hope the personal things you mention in your userpage are taken care of, since you are here now.

If you happen to use Orkut and see anything about the article then let me know. I'm not going to register for it but I may be able to see the relevant "recruitment" anyway, although it probably will not be in English. There will be something that can be done, I'm sure. - Sitush (talk) 21:05, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- as a matter of fact, i am not a member of any social networking sites. i was informed of Orkut recruiting by one of the users — cant remember the name — last time when i was battling them for the mention of polyandry. the same thing happened when I resisted Nadar article editors claiming Pandyan history for themselves and creating this article Upper cloth controversy. i was informed on both occasions, it was either Sodabottle or SpacemanSpiff or both. i am kind of anti-social networking in internet. :) i hope some of the watchers of this page can look out for it. --CarTick (talk) 21:15, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- I am familiar with, Nadar groups in Orkut but not with Nair groups. For some months there is no wikipedia related recruiting going on there (they are busy with talking about elections i guess and also indian users are migrating to facebook in droves and orkut activity is going down)--Sodabottle (talk) 03:02, 23 May 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately for M, he has rather shot himself in the foot with the source he added six hours ago at Tamil Kshatriya. I have reviewed it on the TP. I am pretty sure that it is not what he wants to see, but it is what the thing says. - Sitush (talk) 17:21, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

- Don't be sorry. Whatever happens with the article (keep/delete/present both views), the process will by then have been so thorough that no-one should be in a position to contest the outcome for quite some time. Pretty much what happened at Paravar, in other words. - Sitush (talk) 17:49, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

AN/I for Manorathan
Hello CarTick, I have closed this AN/I which may seem premature to you but I wanted to explain my reasons. I think it was premature of you to raise it again less than 24 hours after two AN/I discussions which generated much more heat than light. Manorathan had a short block for disruptive editing and I agree that the first few edits after the block were not encouraging. But I don't think they are enough to justify further immediate admin action (which is what AN/I is for.) If Manorathan persists in being disruptive then a few more days of evidence of his/her behaviour will not hurt. On the other hand, having blown off steam s/he may return to more productive editing, and a few more days will give the chance for this to happen. A number of admins have eyes on this situation, there is no emergency here yet, so I hope you will accept this AN/I closure for the time being. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 12:45, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Tamil Nadu legislative assembly-secretariat complex. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Chennai secretariat. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Chennai secretariat – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. BabuOnWiki (talk) 11:33, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity
Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Periyasamy
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Periyasamy, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
