Do you
Know how to read music? I know you always argue about vocal range, so maybe you can tell me the basic chord progression for "Don't Forget About Us"? Thanks anyways!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 06:25, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- No, but I'll try and find out for you with my contacts lol. Also, I have started reviewing TEOM. Calvin • 999 13:28, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

ceo clubs
please let me know why you deleted the ceo clubs page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.72.43.78 (talk) 12:50, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Deleted what??? What is ceo clubs? Calvin • 999 12:54, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- I deleted that page. It was pure commercial scam. Even after you overlook the fact that the page had no reliable sources, the guy behind the whole operation supposedly has three Ivy League degrees and has received 150 million dollars in revenue, but can't seem to afford an advertising firm that would fix his badly-scripted Youtube videos and cornily-designed websites. I have no idea why this user came to you, though. elle vécut heureuse à jamais (be free) 15:21, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
wow, that's harsh. first, let me say that i'm no Joe Mancuso; i've been a member of the Clubs for over 25 years and an admirer. secondly, this is a non-profit organzation and it runs on a limited budget and pours all its revs back into org for member benefits and growth. the 150mm figure is over its 30+ year history not per year. i don't know why you think it's a scam. i would be glad to re-do the page and make it about Joe personally and i can beef it up with more support if you give me another chance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.72.43.78 (talk) 23:20, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Why is it there then? There must be a dead link either side of 47 somewhere. Like in my S&M FAC review, they said a link was dead, but it wasn't, it was fact the link after which was dead. Calvin • 999 22:17, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Good work
Hey, great work on Loud (Rihanna album), just a couple things. Background and recording needs some clean up, minor sentence issues, missing words.. ect. "Later that year, in November 2009, Rihanna released her." released her what? "In an interview for MTV, Ne-Yo, one of the producers of the album said that he would not write Rihanna song about Brown" i think you mean songs. There is a few instances like this throughout the article; it just needs a good read-through and you'll most likely catch them. Other than that keep up the great work. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 23:31, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Yeah I've done it. I know it looks like I have simply copied and pasted from the Rihanna article for the background and recording section, but I have re-formatted all of the refs so that they are consistent with the rest of the refs in the article, as well as correcting works and publishers. I'm not too worried if there are some minor mistakes, they will be picked up in the Peer Review. Calvin • 999 23:45, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks. That is probably the one he is using to try and dispute me. Is Pitchfork a reliable and valid source for Wikipedia? Calvin • 999 00:01, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes Pitchforks is reliable, its not commonly used compared to other websites as they tend to be a little slow on publishing their reviews, but they are still reliable nonetheless. Generally (meaning 9/10 times) anything listed at Metacritic for album reviews are reliable and can be used on Wikipedia, Pitchfork is listed on Metacritic here. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:04, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay. It just annoys me how the user below said that I didn't put it in my edit summary of "Merged sandbox". Does he even realise just how many changes me and a friend made to the article? The edit summary box would need to be 10 times bigger. Calvin • 999 00:08, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Mhmm, tip for next time; if you're going to merge an edit like this ask an admin (all can do it) to do a "history merge" from your sandbox into the main article, they will know what it means and will give you proper copyright in the articles history. You dont have to but it helps. Just something to know :) (FYI ive made a few edits to the article, hope it helps). - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:13, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

What's the effect of the history merge and giving me copyright, I don't know what you mean by it. And thanks, lol. Calvin • 999 00:18, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Lets see if i can explain this.. The history here will be "merged" to here once the article is created, thus giving proper attribution to the author of the article and amount of edits instead of one simple "copy and paste move" credit which you did on Loud. Clearer? :P - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:23, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

- Haaa thanks and you're welcome. Btw, i saw just before i restored the content you made an edit, like {{.}} or something (a word, not a full stop), which I doubt is there now because of the restore, so you might need to add whatever it was back in. Calvin • 999 00:51, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Nah it was just an "inuse" tag to avoid conflicts while the merge took place thats all. Ive removed it. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:54, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

RE: Loud edit
You removed Pitchfork without explaining. And I'm not sure where you got the idea that it's not a reliable source: Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Review sites, and the fact that it's incorporated to so many WP:Albums articles. Dan56 (talk) 23:52, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- I did explain...look at the most recent edit summary by me and my my most recent post on you user talk. Calvin • 999 23:54, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Your explanation was "Merged sandbox...". And the link works. Dan56 (talk) 23:55, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, the sandbox I created and wrote. I don't have to keep everything as it was. Either way, I'm pretty sure it's not reliable compared to other sources given. I would appreciate you not making unnecessary edits whilst I am waiting for a Peer Review to commence, because you will disrupt what me and a friend have worked hard on improving. One less review of an album is not the end of the world. Calvin • 999 23:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Your explanation was "Merged sandbox...". And the link works. Dan56 (talk) 23:55, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Right, so don't remove it? 10 review max in the template, so no reason to remove it. And some reviews included in that section arent listed as WP:Albums Review Sites, like The Independent and Chicago Sun-Times. But you didn't remove them. I'd just like to know what led you to believe that Pitchfork is unreliable? Dan56 (talk) 00:07, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Don't tell me what to include and what not to include in a sandbox of mine. There is no rule that I have to keep all existing information. The Independent and Chicago Sun-Times are news corporations and newspapers, that's why they are there. I've been told before in a GA review that Pitchfork is not reliable, that's why I didn't include it. Calvin • 999 00:11, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, and for your "Your explanation was "Merged sandbox..."" comment above, I'd like to see you fit every single change I made from the previous edition of the article to the current into the edit summary box. Do you even have any idea of how many things were added to the article? If you did, then you would know that everything would never fit into the edit summary box. If you are that desperate to know the changes, look at the edition before I merged the sandbox. Then maybe you would have an idea of just how much time and energy was put into improving this article. Calvin • 999 00:14, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

- I understand. Relax. So, its the "removed Pitchwork as the link was dead" explanation you were referring to before? But the link wasn't dead, so I assumed you were referring to the first explanation about the sandbox. What's your beef with Pitchfork, anyway? I mentioned Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Review sites, and you still say you're not sure about their reliability. Since it's being used as a review source, there shouldn't be much discussion about their reliability there. Just curious. I didn't mean to offend you. Dan56 (talk) 00:24, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
Well, something happened which disabled me from being able to open the page, that's all I know, as nothing appeared on my screen. Beef? I just told you, I've been told before not to include Pitchfork because it's unreliable. But as it is, then keep it, I didn't know. Calvin • 999 00:32, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
Personal attack
Ever since I becamse an editor you have done nothing but revert or moan about my edits and there is nothing wrong with them. Week by week US sales shouldn't be there!! You're being annoying by reverting everything I do when really it shouldnt be there! It's just useless information of a chart sales run!! Stop attacking me and let me edit Wikipedia as well as you. I know you are a Rihanna fan but so am I! Why revert something that doesnt need to be there! And dont say about my grammar as well as you have done and then spell words incorrectly! — Preceding unsigned comment added by PD.Baker24 (talk • contribs) 15:38, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- I was exactly like you when I started editing, making edits which I thought was right. But the fact of the matter is, I am more experienced than you are, and you need to learn that you are not always right, just like I had to. Just take it as friendly advice, before you start moving on to editing other articles which could lead to you being warned several more times, which results in being blocked and reported. It is not useless information to include on the Loud article, as it explains how it debuted at number 3, then some weeks later, managed to re-peak at number 3, it's explaining the cycle. If you'll notice, I haven't reverted or removed everything you have done, only the major things which you have removed. Like I have said more times than I can remember, the article is waiting to be Peer Reviewed, and I want everything to remain more or less the same so the reviewer can see for his or herself exactly what is there and what needs changing. Calvin • 999 15:46, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay I understand but you can't expect everyone just to leave it how it is just for you. This is what Wikipedia is all about. With regards to the chart run it really is not needed. Who cares if it goes down 4 places and then up 2 places and then up 3 place etc. All that matters is the total sales. PD.Baker24 (talk) 15:51, 24 July 2011 (UTC) To be honest as above you tend to be quite violent to people like you have been with me when you said "WTF?!" in an edit which was highly innappropriate and I still would like an apology. PD.Baker24 (talk) 15:53, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't. You are free to make changes, but it is preferable for you discuss what you want to do on the talk page with regard to removing large quantities of information and actually wait for people to discuss it with you and wait for an agreement to be made. Maybe if you had spent one month re-writing and expanding an entire article, then have someone who had nothing to do with it make loads of edits which could be seen as disruptive, maybe you would understand how I feel. God, if you think me saying "wtf?" in an edit summary is "violent", then you should see some of the things I have seen people write, and not just in edit summaries. And I don't appreciate you calling me "violent", because I'm not. I just stand up for what I believe and make my point know, there is no point skating around the edges. Calvin • 999 15:58, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Amy Winehouse
Someone i loved has left the world. Were you a fan? Me not really but i do not know why i loved her. I feel sincerely very sad. May her soul rest in peace. I hope she will never fade away just like Beyonce said on Michael Jackson's death. Jivesh • Talk2Me 16:58, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- She had a very distinct voice and was very talented, and it's a shame someone was gifted like that and threw it away for drugs. Calvin • 999 17:20, 24 July 2011 (UTC
- Yes that's very sad. And she was very beautiful. She was huge in the UK. I think Adele is the only female UK artist enjoying this worldwide success after our dear Amy. Jivesh • Talk2Me 17:27, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- To be honest, she was known more in the UK for her drug use than her music. Her second album Back to Black was #1 in the UK and #2 in the US, but her singles weren't that successful, though she did win 5 Grammy Awards. Adele has been more successful than Amy, in my opinion. Personally...
I think welcoming IP's is unnecessary.
- It is when they need to have a list of things on Wikipedia that they should educate themselves with before making disruptive edits. Plus, it doesn't make me look like the bad guy like people make me out to be when I'm about to give them a warning for those multiple disruptive edits. Calvin • 999 20:31, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

And maybe I'm just AGF'ing a bit more than anything, but calling those edits (which, I assume, are good-faith edits) as vandalism comes out as a bit harsh. - Penwhale | dance in the air and follow his steps 16:59, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- It's not harsh when those users delete the stop sign and still go ahead with the edit that they had specifically been told not to do. Calvin • 999 17:12, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Sure, I can do that :) What kind though? Just any shot of RiRi and the scenery?--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 14:12, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Preferably one where she is next to a prop, like one of those massive flower buds on the hillside, or with the balloons floating in the background, laying on the bed of flowers, or in front of the tree at the end with lights on it. Basically anthing which is mention in the synopsis here so that the image and prose relate to each other. Thanks :). Calvin • 999 14:16, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- I added a photo, take a look at it and the description and tell me what you think. Also, please cancel that "We Belong Together" GAR, as I am coincidentally about to complete a major, major update to it. Lastly, I will get to the fixes for "GYN" now.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 14:58, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- That's great, thank you! I would but the instructions on how to do it are confusing me, and I don't get how to do it :/. You would have to seek GAN again to ensure that what you have written meets criteria anyway? Calvin • 999 15:19, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- I guess :S I was just hoping to be able to skip that step and just update the article. Lol, its ironic. The article sits there as a GA in shambles for years, and then like a day before I finish the update, you nominate for GAR lol. Oh well. Glad you like the photo :) PS, ask someone if its possible to retract?--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 15:25, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- I was actually quite shocked and surprised at the article, I can't believe it is still a GA. When you look at how much we have to do to make an article GA worthy now, it makes me wonder how WBT ever managed it, but I guess over 3 years, criteria has become more tight. Yeah, but you will need to have your version re-evaluated for GA surely? You can't just merge yours into it and claim GA when it hasn't been reviewed? You know that as soon as you nominate I will review it lol, so you wouldn't have to wait for it to be reviewed. Calvin • 999 15:32, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Check on "GYN" BTW :) Yes, three years ago a lot was different, which is why I have to do the Bio soon, before people start trying to demote it. I definitely don't want to have to go through FA with that one. Actually you are allowed, trust me, my revision will triple it in length and value lol. I guess if you want you could just go ahead and demote it, I as the main Mimi guy agree to it, then I'll renominate it :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 15:43, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I'll go check. It's already failed 5 FACs, but if people were trying to nominate it with the current version, no wonder it failed, but I'm sure yours will meet FAC. I suppose I just think that if you are going to add such a large amount of information to it, then it should be properly reviewed by someone, because the reviewer will always find something which doesn't make sense or needs addressing, which is a good thing if you want to take it to FAC, as it shows that someone has recently looked over it and can confirm it's GA status. A second pair of eyes is always useful. Calvin • 999 15:49, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

- I see your work on "Man Down" :) but there are any performances ? Pixelyoshi (discuter) 22:49, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- It has a music video, but it was only released as a radio single. The only live performances are those that she does on the Loud Tour, which is referenced in the Lead info. Calvin • 999 22:59, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry for the very late reply. You do a good work on Loud era. Will you do the same with her other albums ? Pixelyoshi (discuter) 23:10, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Lol that's okay. Thanks :). Yes I would like to, I want to do Rated R next after Man Down has been GAN reviewed, and I need to do CKB too, and eventually Cheers. What's My Name is the only one I haven't done, and is probably the one I would have most liked to have done, it's my most favourite song ever lol. Calvin • 999 23:16, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- Lol, it's irritating :p. "Man Down" is my favorite song on Loud and enjoys WMN :). Personnally, I liked Rihanna more before Rated R when she sang "Umbrella" or "Unfaithful"... "Man Down" looks like her previous works and it's certainly the reason that I liked it. Pixelyoshi (discuter) 23:39, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
- With every album she has done, I have liked her more and more, and I think that she gotten better and better. I think it will be hard to be able to match the same level of success that Loud has had, but there seems no stopping her, so I think the next album will be massive, and hopefully it will be her first #1 album in the US. There needs to be a bit more info added. Who wrote/produced (and maybe mixed) the song? Where was it recorded? Add a bit of composition info. There is certainly enough prose on critical reception, but try to flesh it out, and structure/order logically by what the critics had to say. —Andrewstalk 07:57, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Loud
Ok :) cause I can not wait to copy to the original article and picturesque it :) ! About copying I was thinking that the best way to show that we both worked on the article, me copying the first part of the article, you second or reverse however :) What do you think? And about the nominations for peer review and GA, we gonna make a deal ! Greetings Tomica1111 (talk)
- Lol, when's it done, I'll merge the whole thing into the current article, but before saving, I'll add in the pictures and audio samples. It's quite easy to merge a sandbox. Yeah I think to ensure it's GAN, that we should nominate for a Peer Review first. That way anything can be addressed without the possibility of getting failed. Calvin • 999 21:52, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ok Tomica1111 (talk)
- Btw I think that better idea is to cut Neyo's quote and to make how it was in the beginning so we can put a picture of MJ and write what Bu Thiam said about the album. It will be better. There are too many quotes in that part. What do you think? And after lot of thinking I think that we should both copy halfs of the article. I know it's kinda stupid, but I want people to know that we both worked on it, not just one user. Tomica1111 (talk)
- Yeah okay, remove Ne-Yo's quote. People will know that we both worked on it, it will be co-nominated. It's will be harder to do half and half add in the pictures and audio's in the relevant halves separately. Just because I copy the sandbox into the actual article, doesn't mean you don't get credit, because that doesn't account for anything. When we nominate for PR and GA, we put both our names on the nomination code. Calvin • 999 23:15, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Wikiproject Rihanna
Hey I was thinking about creating Rihanna wikiproject, cause it's really sad that she hasn't got one. I know you agree?:) I started it User:1111tomica/Sandbox1, you can see it here, but now I have kinda problem with the, Recognized content or the Assessment. That's the table with statistics about Rihanna songs. If you want you can participate in it's creation, or maybe help find the person who can help us with it ;) ! Thanks Tomica1111 (talk) 09:39, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think that's how you create it? I don't know why. I think you have to submit the idea to someone first and they have to approve it? Calvin • 999 13:21, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

- You need any software which can make clips from full length songs (like Audacity). A-class
Hi, I got Music of FF7 to A-class through the video games project, which does A-class by having two other editors sign off on it (usually after a mini-peer review). It looks like WP:SONGS doesn't actually use A-class: of the 3 A-class articles, 2 are video game articles and one is a US sports team article. It also doesn't look like SONGS has a process for promoting A-class, meaning that you can declare any GA article to be A-class by fiat. That's not terribly helpful, though, in regards to article quality. Looks like the last FAC failed due to prose concerns, and you couldn't get the reviewers to come back after fixing their points. I'd recommend listing the article at WP:GOCE to get a copy-editor; make sure you tell them that it's for FAC and you'll likely get someone within a couple of weeks. The copy-editors there are by no means perfect, but they'll get the bulk of the problems fixed. --PresN 19:06, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Basically, yeah. Each Wikiproject defines for itself how A-class is used; some explicitly don't use it, some just ignore it (like SONGS), some have a formal review process (VG, MILHIST), and most just have people declare it themselves, the same as stub through B. --PresN 19:13, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Have you known that David LaChapelle directed "Disturbia" xD !. There is a wrong director on the page where says Anthony Mandler, however the source is dead. I was about to prepare the article for GA and found this. :) Tomica1111 (talk) 10:22, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
GAN backlog
Hey, Calvin999. I was wondering if you could help review any of the three current good article nominations I have right now. I would prefer if you could review First Time (Lifehouse song) because that has been a nominee for several weeks now. If you don't want to review them, it's OK, but it seems every time I go on the nominations page, the backlog seems to grow bigger and bigger. Thanks for your time. - Rp0211 (talk2me) 19:32, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

Rated R
MMM, I see you put a expanding template on Rated R! I was about also to expand it. Can we work together on it? Tomica1111 (talk) 00:25, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yes. Do you want to follow the same routine as we did for Loud? Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 00:27, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yup. That's fine to me. First will contribute in your sandbox and than will call an administrator which will merge it to the album's article. ;) Tomica1111 (talk) 00:32, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay. No we won't ask an admin to merge it that way because it creates a spilt history of the article. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 00:36, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- What creates? It was ok with Loud I think. Tomica1111 (talk) 00:38, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Basically when you merge the sandbox's history with the article, you have two different revisions histories which conflict each other. The admins sorted it out on Loud, but they advised against it again. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 00:40, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

- Okay. No we won't ask an admin to merge it that way because it creates a spilt history of the article. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 00:36, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yup. That's fine to me. First will contribute in your sandbox and than will call an administrator which will merge it to the album's article. ;) Tomica1111 (talk) 00:32, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Hey I reworked the Background and Recording (including references). This will be easier than Loud, cause it's composition it's fine. Tomica1111 (talk) 13:24, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Wait Your Turn
I see that you are working on "Wait Your Turn" so I thought this and this sources would be reliable for the Live Performances section. And of course you can state that she performed the song on LGOE tour. :) All the best Tomica1111 (talk) 10:30, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks :). But she didn't perform it on the LGOE tour, I saw her in concert. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 14:05, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Really:)? The Setlist I know a lot of theory about the tour, but I'm sad that I can't see her in real :( ! Tomica1111 (talk) 14:08, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) That's the Australian leg, she didn't do it when I saw her, she went from the Mad House intro into Russian Roulette. Do those sources say she has specifically performed it because it's not included on the setlist on the LGOE article. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 14:14, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yes it is. There is the source! Btw, "Wait Your Turn" was performed in a medley with "Live Your Life". Tomica1111 (talk) 14:19, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

S&M (song)
Copyediting done. The things left to do is 1) show where the song went on the Asian charts, 2) tell us in which Western countries the song was banned, 3) give a sentence or two about what Rihanna said about her Billboard performance on Today in that bit (the way the sentence is set up there, the reader could expect a quote), 4) update what happens to the Chappelle v. Fenty et al case on August 10 (What punishment Rihanna gets) and 5) clean up the paragraph the ends about the cheek-kiss in the Billboard performance. (It's unclear how it made the performance more controversial because you say that it was a cheek kiss.) Feel free to ask me further questions if you need here.--Aichikawa (talk) 22:21, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay thank you :). Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 22:24, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- One other thing I wanted to point out is that there's a nice detail in the Today performance where a fan from the crowd gives her a Barbadian flag as she is singing and walking to the stage and she kind of runs with it!--Aichikawa (talk) 22:28, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Oh Santa!
Hey Calvin. Nice work on the article. I just wanted to say though that it is running a bit small on info, I mean "Migrate", which isn't even a really single is larger. I'm sure there is more info to be found. Let me know if you need anything! :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 17:40, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- "Raining Men" was a single and is a GA and it is even shorter than "Oh Santa!". When I look at the article, I personally don't think it is running short. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 17:46, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, if you think so. I won't put my hand there until after the GA :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 17:51, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- You can only only make the article as informational as possible according to how much information there actually is about it. It's like H.A.T.E.U., I tried promoting to GA, but because there was barely any info about, it failed, and it is unlikely that it will become a GA. I think the "Oh Santa!" article has an ample amount of information and is of a good size for a song that didn't really do well. I think all of the sections are pretty informational, I don't really see what else there is to include? Apart from a Chart performance section, but it won't be very long. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 17:58, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- I didn't mean it that way Calvin! I'm not implying it won't pass, it could very well! - Lol I thought I hadn't seen it. Even if I told you, you can't put me as the reference. lol. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 20:01, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well, yes because the sheet doesn't say it. And you can read it. Its like a book in Spanish, we have someone who understands Spanish. The fact that they always contradict you is beyond the point ad not relevant. So? ;)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 20:19, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- No no no no no, I can't read music from a music sheet, I just know what note a singer hits when singing, watch this. You would need to find someone who can read those music sheet to determine the Key and thus what notes they are hitting in order to reliably reference. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 21:05, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Calvin, that is what am asking for lol. Listen to the song, and tell me the highest and lowest vocal note she hits in it! :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 21:40, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oh I thought you was asking me to read the music sheet on Musicnotes.com, that's what it read like. The highest note is an E5, but I will have to listen for the lowest note again. Because I don't class anything under an F#3 as low, so her 'lowest note' must be between G3 and B3. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 21:42, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- Okay :) Thanks!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 21:44, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

- I'm That Chick isn't vocally amazing, so i'll need to have another listen. And what you have written for Migrate is alllllllllll wrong. B4, that makes me laugh so much, and the people at Musicnotes.com are mean't to be professionals? Anyone with any knowledge will know that the opening falsetto note is in the 6th octave and not the 4th. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 17:58, 8 August 2011 (UTC) After listening, her range is G#3-C#5, I don't even think it is worth mentioning, it's hardly any range. (Even less than Only Girl (In the World)). Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 19:25, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- I mentioned it anyway. Yeah, I don't like that song much. My main issue with E=MC2 were the vocals. Her worst vocal era to date IMO. Thanks for those ;) BTW, I loved that Butterfly video! I watched the whole thing!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 19:30, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Lol thanks. I think if you watch this, you will realise that her vocals weren't actually as bad as what people made them out about to be. IMO, Rainbow is her worst album vocally, very strained, really struggled in live performances. Her vocal peaks in her career have been: Mariah Carey (1990), Daydream (1995), Glitter (2001), The Emancipation of Mimi (2005) and Merry Christmas II You (2010). Every 5 years of so, she peaks and her vocals are flawless, but there is a noticeable decline in between those 5 years. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 19:34, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
- For me, the live performances in 91-92 and early 93 are the best. For some reason, towards the end of 93 (tour), she declined a lot :S. Daydream is good, but the clarity and tone is un-matchable in 92. Yes, 1999-2000 was really bad vocally for her, I really don't understand what happened :( And E=MC2 is just so weak and thin Calv, idk. Thank God her voice is fuller and stronger on MC2Y!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 19:40, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Misunderstandings (If Any)
First of all, i wish to present you my apologies if i offended you in any kind of way. I left comments on GAR of CKB with only one motive: to help you better the article. The references were really in a deplorable state and there were several issues with them that the reviewer did not point at. Concerning my work on GAs, my weakness has always been prose because i am not a native speaker of English but apart from that i do think i have any problems with my GANs. Calvin, i wish to tell you again that my intention was not to be obstacle in the promotion of your article. I just wish to draw your attention to this, which did not pass GA because supposedly it does not contain enough information about conception. It failed twice. That's why i told you that you are lucky that an article with so little information is passing GA. And Calvin, just like you said my prose is very bad, i wish to tell you that you still have to work a lot on formatting of references. And remember that you should not believe everything people tell you here. Sometimes, it is up to you to make your own decisions. I am telling you again, i will not change MTV Networks to Viacom. I have promoted so many articles to GA. This issue was never raised. When i said i could not oppose to everything you say, it was regarding to MTV Europe issue. Legolas said that he will be please to explain to you why MTV Networks should be used as a publisher for MTV News. I am telling you once again, whatever i did, was to help you. If you did not like it, i will never interfere again in anything you do. Jivesh • Talk2Me 06:40, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Reference 63 is till in bad need of proper formatting. And you should be consistent in your presentation of dates; it should either be August 9, 2011 or 2011-08-09 everywhere. Do not use both. Jivesh • Talk2Me 06:45, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- I also told you to add 'Devin Lazerine' as the publisher for Rap-Up in all references involving the latter. Jivesh • Talk2Me 06:49, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Another advice, as a friend, i just want to tell you that it does not matter if you working on a sixth or tenth single. If you search properly using several search engines, you will find a lot. Calvin, i am a sincere friend. Don't think i am flattering myself or what. If you look at the articles i edit, they are quite long irrespective of being the nth single. This is simply because when i search for information, i filter more that 50 search pages. Try the same, you will see the amount of information you will get to craft a nice composition, critical reception, chart performance and video sections (at least). I know finding information on background and development is difficult. Jivesh • Talk2Me 07:13, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- Some examples are:
- Naughty Girl (Beyoncé Knowles song) (The last single form Dangerously in Love)
- Check on It (A soundtrack single which Andrew started working on in December 2010 but lost hope because he could not expand it significantly. Then i worked on it in January 2011.)
- Ring the Alarm (which performed moderately on charts)
- Get Me Bodied (Last single from B'Day)
- Green Light (Beyoncé Knowles song) (which Wikipedia considers as a single although only an EP was made available)
- Diva (Beyoncé Knowles song) and Ego (Beyoncé Knowles song) (Both of them were only sent to urban radios in the US.)
- Sweet Dreams (Beyoncé Knowles song) (the sixth single form I Am... Sasha Fierce)
- Amor Gitano (Most of us do not even know about the existence of this song.)
- Work It Out (Beyoncé Knowles song) (A soundtrack single - Soundtrack Singles are very very very difficult to expand)
- Upgrade U (Supposedly a promotional single - which is my opinion is false)
- Why Don't You Love Me (Beyoncé Knowles song) (which got coverage essentially for its music video)
- Listen (song) (Another soundtrack single)
And pay attention to the number of sources i use. Some have only 30. What i am trying to tell you here is that you should make maximum use of the information that is present in a link. Jivesh • Talk2Me 07:24, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- If ever you what me to make a second review for CKB, i will do it for you. Just ping me. Jivesh • Talk2Me 07:42, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm not saying I don't want secondary opinions within the GAN review, but as I review articles, and have done over 15, I know that you must actually click 'edit' on each section to check the reference, as that gives you everything you need to know about it and if anything is actually missing, because as you know, you only have to spell for example work= as wok= and it will either distort the reference or not show the parameter, like how I did. It is actually there, and the work parameter had been entered, but because there was a silly spelling mistake, it caused it not to show. That's what I mean't by you needing to actually click on 'edit' to properly check the reference, as you mentioned quite a few which weren't as wrong as what you suggested. And what I mean't by the last singles having less info is that as time goes on, the latter singles have a lot less than the former ones, as the former ones have a lot more impact as they are fresh and new and people are interested in them and have a lot to say about them. If you look at the singles from Loud, excluding Raining Men, they progressively get shorter, because there is less information about them as each one goes by. It may surprise you and others, but even though I can spot a mistake in someone else's GAN, I don't always see them in my own work. I much prefer writing prose to formatting references.
And I only asked about what you was doing with Work It Out because it confused me the different comments you wrote, as one was phrased against changing and the other for changing. But now you have said no, I can pass it. And what do you mean another review for CKB? And there is no misunderstandings, I am aware that the way I phrase things can be misconstrued and interpreted differently to how I want them to be read. Calvin • NaNaNaC'mon! 13:24, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
- So you are sure these issues have not affected our friendly relationship on Wikipedia? Well i am not telling you that it will be a review but i can help you fix several existing issues on the article. I prefer you do it with my guidance rather than i go on the article and make the corrections as this will help you not repeating such things again. I mean if you do it yourself, you will learn. I don't mean to sound hasty and I'm not rushing you, but I'm just curious when you are going to publish the "Love the Way You Lie" GA review because you said you would begin reviewing August 9. It's awfully suspenseful too, :). Sorry, I'm not good at patience. Thank you. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:01, 9 August 2011 (UTC)
