A tag has been placed on Gigi Chao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. CMC++: You need to stop and explain what you are trying to do. I think you are misunderstanding because of problems with English. At Gigi Leung, you changed the infobox from a person to a place. At Cecil Chao, you have done that, introduced factual errors and misspellings, and also put a "village stocks" template into the article. Both of these are articles about living people, so it is particularly important for them to be correct. You started a new article, IT Consultant - we already have IT consultant, which redirects to Information technology consulting. You have several times tried to change Mùn Chung from an article about a place into an article about a person, and you have also several times tried to write what seems to be an autobiography, Chong Mun Chung. But autobiography or not, the article does not indicate why this person is notable enough to have an article here: please see this page for the requirements. Please consider editing the Wikipedia in your native language, rather than this one. Alternatively, can you explain why you are making these changes to Gigi Leung, Cecil Chao, and Mùn Chung? If you continue to damage articles the way you have been doing, you will have to be blocked. Can you explain, so that we can perhaps offer some advice and help? Last chance...

[edit]

Before I block you for creating bad pages and for your continuing problems with the wiki-syntax that are producing things you probably do not want, such as the Asia template at the bottom of the page about a person.

CMC++, Wikipedia is not the place to post your résumé. For you to merit an article, you have to have distinguished yourself by for example winning a major international prize or holding a top professorship at a university, or you have to have been written about or featured on TV at length multiple times - and not in blogs. Chong Mun Chung has been locked because you kept recreating it. This is not a bug; it is to protect the encyclopedia. The only place your autobiography belongs here is on your user page: User:CMC++. Please move one version of it there if you want to keep it. It can then be fixed so it displays correctly. People will happily help you with that. But otherwise, all the versions need to be deleted, and you need to read the links you have been given about what we do here and what rules we have.

So what is your choice? Move it to the user page, or keep on trying to make an article about yourself without any evidence of notability as we define it here? Please respond. --Yngvadottir (talk) 12:41, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please cross reference before do any speedy deletion as the contribution on all networking platform was undinable. Do considerate other people afford before any deletion. Where is the guild line for black mail or blocking a true person with real fact across all search enginee. Please rectify and justify. Revert and let's the true personnel review to other Wikipedia community. Cheers✌️ — Preceding unsigned comment added by CMC++ (talkcontribs) 12:55, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for responding, but as you see, they have already been deleted by one or more other administrators. Multiple people have tagged your articles as unsuitable for Wikipedia; I have referred you to the requirements to have an article here - once more, they are here. No one is saying that you do not exist ("true person with real fact") or that you have not done useful things ("contribution on all networking platform"). However, where have you received distinctions or been the subject of multiple newspaper/magazine articles or TV coverage to demonstrate notability as we define it? This is an encyclopedia, not a directory. We cannot include everyone. Also, I repeat: your English is weak, you may well have a better experience editing the Wikipedia in your native language.
I do recommend you create your user page: that is an appropriate location to describe yourself to the Wikipedia community. But if you continue to create autobiographical articles without references indicating notability, you will have to be blocked to protect the encyclopedia. No blackmail involved, and feel free to ask other administrators for their opinions. Yngvadottir (talk) 13:11, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Nasdaq whale

[edit]

Hello, CMC++,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Crystallizedcarbon, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Nasdaq whale, for deletion, because it is a very short article that doesn't provide readers with enough context to determine who or what the subject is.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Crystallizedcarbon}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Onelab moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Onelab, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Problem with your custom signature

[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you. 18:02, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Recent edit reversion

[edit]

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 13:01, 13 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
