Thank you for creating Moonlight Survived.

User:LunaEatsTuna, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Fantastic work! Just a quick note—I notice Discogs is cited once in this article. As Discogs is a crowdsourced website that is editable by users, that means it is not a credible source for Wikipedia. Are you perhaps able to find a better source in its place? Other than that, the rest of the sources look sufficient. Happy editing!

You had my attention at a hardcore band's work being nominated for GA, and I thank you for giving me someone new to listen to. However, I also have my concerns after reading the feedback on the failure of Won (As Friends Rust album). Would you like me to review this GA nomination, or do you expect a similar result? If the latter is the case, I am giving you a chance to simply remove it, if you wish. dannymusiceditor oops 20:48, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Bricks&Wood, I restored the redirect to the band on this page because as of now, there are no independent reviews of the album, which is likely the easiest way to demonstrate notability per WP:NALBUM. If you want to try to find some sources you might be able to recreate it, but as it is I don't think the album is notable based on the sourcing. Alyo (chat·edits) 19:57, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stay Black

[edit]

This does not alter the fact that this is heavily reliant on Done's own words, press releases from his record label, irrelevant back story, and webzines which do not pass WP:RS. It might pass notability, but it would have to be drastically cut down to remove everything that comes from unreliable sources. And presumably you wouldn't agree to that either. Record label cats

[edit]

Is there any consensus to empty Category:Recording artists by label and diffuse it by the nationality of the company? Compare, e.g. Category:Albums by artist, which is a listing of all artists and Category:Albums by artist nationality, which allows you to find things by the national origin of the artist. There are similar schemes for other creative works. I wanted to get to this before you get too far in diffusing. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 22:33, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Joshua Williams (musician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. List requirements - Significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the subject

[edit]

The list of albums have a requirement mentioned at the top of the page for every list. The requirements state "These albums are (1) original, i.e. excluding reissues, remasters, and compilations of previously released recordings, and (2) notable, defined as having received significant coverage from reliable sources independent of the subject." Please note that it is not sufficient to have one reliable source, which I challenge that The Obelisk is a reliable source. It must be significant coverage. After much discussion on the list talk pages, we narrowed it down to significant is three good sources or better. I was outvoted, as I wanted five good sources to equal significant. For List of 2015 albums, I have stated twice that the album released by Vision Eternel in 2015, Echoes From Forgotten Hearts, does not have significant coverage. The next issue is whether The Obelisk counts as one good source, and I have stated that it is a blog and does not count, and you have stated that it is used over 100 times in Wikipedia and no past discussions listing the webzine as an unreliable source. I have gone to Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, and there is no listing of The Obelisk on the page, neither for reliable or unreliable. It is not a mainstream source. It is not listed under generally reliable sources, and has not been vetted by the community. I do not accept it as one of the three valid sources required to show notability for the album listing on the List of 2015 albums. I will continue to delete the album listing, but I wanted to reach out to you and explain why it is being deleted, as my conversation in the edit summary page was not sufficiently detailed to convey why it was being rejected. Les cinq saisons

[edit]

Looking at the various issues of this release, it appears its official title was "Les cinq saisons", and that the longer title is a subtitle included in the liner notes. https://www.discogs.com/master/13096-Harmonium-Les-Cinq-Saisons

Hi, I know Michel Normandeau, one of the original members of the band, and he confirmed to me today that the actual name is "Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison". It was abridged for the disc label as "Les cinq saisons" which was usually used by most fans. But that is not the actual title, the longer one is ! JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 01:38, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey JeanPaulGRingault, that's cool that you know Normandeau personally. However, Wikipedia requires properly-sourced references for this type of information; hearsay cannot be used. In this case, all of the publications of the era (Billboard, RPM, Record World, Montreal Gazette, La Presse, Le Soleil, etc) all refer to the album as Les cinq saisons. That is in addition to the album covers, sleeves and center labels. If you can find a published source (maybe like an interview with the band) in which they specifically say that the longer title is the official one, then it can be changed. I could find no such evidence from my extensive research. I also plan to expand the article considerably from this research.--Bricks&Wood talk 03:10, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In Serge Fiori's authorized biography, the main creator of the album, it is systematically refered to by its intended name (the chapters title is "Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison"!). It is even explained that it is generally refered to with its shorter moniker. I cannot believe you still stand by your decision of renaming the page and your invention of the concept of a subtitle ! That article has now the wrong title and a major discrepancy. You are 100% wrong, not my opinion but plain fact. Please fix. JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 11:17, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Aszx5000, thanks for reviewing the article and sharing your concern with me. I see what you mean and understand that at first glance it may appear that way. This is a music book, it's about a record company. So the coverage it receives is different from fiction publications. For music releases, Record Collector, It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine and The Spill Magazine have all been recognized as reliable sources for album reviews. All three have covered this book, so I believe that those should be counted in favor of this article. There are new articles/interviews being published every couple of weeks about this book/author so I will keep looking on my end and add anything else that I can find. Please let me know what you think! Bricks&Wood talk 06:50, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also added another review I located from The Vinyl District which is considered a reliable source in over 230 other Wikipedia articles at the moment. Bricks&Wood talk 10:57, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That works for me B&W - keep an eye out for any mainstream reviews (mainline English newspapers) which are also helpful, but what you have shown is a fair threshold imho. Nice job! Aszx5000 (talk) 11:07, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
