A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Poirier2000. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 11:01, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome and the cookies (quite good and not filling). I usually participate on the french pages but I will sometimes add to the english ones when I feel I can improve them in my own small way. Keep up the good work and thanks again Poirier2000 (talk) 01:23, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

English

[edit]

Thank you for your edit to The Beatles at Shea Stadium. Please remember to use English on the English Wikipedia. If you are not confident with English, please discuss your proposed change on the talk page and wait for someone else to make the edit. McLerristarr | Mclay1 01:19, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am quite confident in English, although it did not show on that contribution. Septembre did make me chuckle! I do not contribute often in English and I will not always be perfect but, I believe, my contributions are usefull ! Poirier2000 (talk) 14:48, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your work on Eight Days a Week (disambiguation). Unfortunately, disambiguation pages do not follow the same stylistic rules as normal pages. In particular,

  • there should be only one live link per entry.

Please see the disambiguation style guide for more information. If you have any questions not answered there, drop me a note or try the help desk. By the way, I have already brought Eight Days a Week (disambiguation) into line with the guidelines. Ubcule (talk) 23:23, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody's Child

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like Nobody's Child are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Take Out Some Insurance, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Atco (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:24, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

English punctuation

[edit]

Hi there. Apologies if I'm wrong, but I believe you may be a French speaker. I've noticed from some of your contributions, you've been putting spaces before exclamation marks. Just letting you know, in English there are no spaces before exclamation marks or question marks. Cheers, M.Clay1 (talk) 02:04, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Noted, thanks! I cannot promise I'll always remember but I'll do my best! JeanPaulGRingault (talk) 12:15, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
