Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Amphibia characters into Draft:Anne Boonchuy (Amphibia). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 00:25, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is a good reason why I was making this articles, because Luz from The Owl House has one and I find it to be unfair because Anne from Amphibia doesn't have one and that there both kind of the same, but who's care, It okay if this articles gets unaccepted again. Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of Amphibia characters and Amphibia (TV series). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. Edit warring - August 2022

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at DC League of Super-Pets shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Copying licensed material requires attribution

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Draft:Anne Boonchuy you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. Also, just a note that your draft will never be accepted into mainspace, as it's all unsourced and far too detailed for our encyclopedia. That type of content is why Fandom was created. — Diannaa (talk) 13:54, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Thai Americans, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Molly McGee. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Luz comparison in lead section of Anne Boonchuy article

I'm asking for you to please not re-add the sentence "She was even compared to Luz Noceda from The Owl House, and was considered superior." from the lead for the Anne Boonchuy article. I really feel that the sentence should not be included in the article, due to it having several issues, such as:

  1. The lack of any citation backing up the the comparison & clam causes the sentence to easily fall into the category of original research.
  2. Let's recognize that one of the main reasons any of us would feel the need to compare Anne & Luz is because of the heavy overlap between the fandoms of The Owl House and Amphibia. The article already has the maintenance tag warning about fan-perspective writing, and the sentence in question is arguably a case of it.
  3. The lead section of an article is meant to serve as a brief overview of the topic. It should not contain facts or claims that are not elaborated on in the larger body of the article. The lead was the only part of the Anne Boonchuy article where the idea of comparing between Luz & Anne is brought up.
  4. The "and was considered superior" tagged onto the end just serves to combine & heighten the first two issues.

Also, I noticed that you didn't add the "and was considered superior" statement until after I first attempted to remove the sentence from the lead. I'm hoping you didn't think my edits were being motivated by some petty bias against Anne or Amphibia, because that isn't the case. I'm simply trying to help improve the neutrality of the article. – Jamie Eilat (talk) 04:26, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About one of the submissions you have done...

Hello, I am the creator of the draft about André. I noticed that the draft I created had disappeared from two categories for weeks. Despite that, I have learnt that it wasn't deleted at all and you actually submitted it, only to have the submission declined.

While it is good to help me improving the draft (i.e. replacing the "Citation needed" tags with reliable sources and adding a "Critical reception" section with reliable sources), tagging a draft as having at least one issue is not enough to turn this draft into a live article. Although I am a genuine André & Wally B. fan whose favourite character is André, I have read the wiki's guidelines and I have matured enough to attempt to keep a draft's tone neutral. I don't see anything that is considered fancruft since I removed content that mentioned the existence of a non-notable fan series based on the short film André debuted. If you want more information about why this draft may not have fancruft, then you should reread the draft carefully and read the talk page archives of the first admin to decline the submission. She has told me that it has been improved, but there are more issues to fix.

Regarding to the submissions, the draft requires more improvements in order to have its next submission accepted. As the draft is delicate, the draft needs to have some issues fixed in order to fulfill the requirements to become a live article. Otherwise, submitting without revisions will result into a rejected submission or a deletion in the worst cases.

To sum up, you should be careful if you want that one of the submissions get accepted. If you want to submit this draft and eventually having it accepted, then you should help me by finding reliable sources and expanding the draft with sourced information. Besides, what is the problem with the content of this draft?--André the Android(talk) 20:10, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are invited to this discussion at the Administrators' noticeboard regarding an user's request of speedy deletion of Blue (Velociraptor). BattleshipMan (talk) 14:34, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The article appears to have been already deleted. PerryPerryD Talk To Me 14:37, 18 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bmona12. Could you explain why you moved Maisie Lockwood to Maisie Lockwood (Jurassic World)? I don't see the need for the disambiguator, and several related articles link to it at the moment. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 01:51, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Simple: I just made a draft about the character, and I wanted to move it into article form, but there was one problem: a page of that name already exists, That's why I moved Maisie Lockwood to Maisie Lockwood (Jurassic World) Bmona12 (talk) 02:24, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved the redirect back to its original name as it was out of process. I'd recommend waiting for a reviewer to accept the submission so that they can ask for a technical deletion and the draft can be moved to that page. You can also ask for a G6 yourself. Isabelle Belato 🏳‍🌈 02:45, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright Bmona12 (talk) 02:49, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's no need for disambiguate Maisie Lockwood. One of the reviewers will work on that the technical deletion of that redirect and the draft will be moved to that. BattleshipMan (talk) 03:55, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes @BattleshipMan Bmona12 (talk) 04:33, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon I reverted your move of Spinosaurus (Jurassic Park) back to draftspace because it is not ready to for inclusion into the mainspace. User:AJFU provided some reasons as to why it's currently not suitable to be an article which I agree. Below are a list of some of the problems:

  • Too many unnecessary fictional/fan details (this article is nearly a copy from this fandom, it is not allowed and a copyright violation)
  • Largely unsourced

Once you have addressed the problems, you may submit the draft for review. Do not attempt to move the draft back to the mainspace.

Replaceable fair use File:Amphibia Season 1 Poster.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Amphibia Season 1 Poster.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 107.134.86.17 (talk) 21:56, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tinker Bell (Disney character) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Tinker Bell (Disney character), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Copying within Wikipedia (yet again)

You've already been told that you must give proper attribution when copying content from one Wikipedia article to another. All this takes is attributing the original source in an edit summary when copying over the content (see this edit summary for example). Yet you once again did not attribute the original source when copying from Tinker Bell to create Draft:Tinker Bell (Disney character). Please read and follow WP:Copying within Wikipedia. Failing to give proper attribution is a copyright violation. Bennv123 (talk) 12:12, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:StarVs.StarComesToEarth.jpg. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Request reason:

I will for now on only copy if I have permissible to, I promise.

Decline reason:

This completely fails to answer the specific questions set by Tamzin above. This is doubly concerning, because not only are we nervous that you could be trusted to avoid copyright issues but a failure to be able to follow instructions and read the rules when unsure is problematic in its own right. The block is no longer necessary because I now understand what I have been blocked for, I will not do it again, and I will make productive contributions instead. Bmona12 (talk) 02:54, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. 2600:1700:9DD0:8FD0:C5FB:2501:310B:FC56 (talk) 01:07, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
