Hey there. Can you help me out with this article? I'm planning to bring this article up to B-class, with the ultimate goal of bringing it up to GA class in the future. Can you help me look for interviews with her and Japanese coverage of her career?
Also pinging Prosperosity who also helped me look for sources for the Mami Kawada article.
Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:15, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm posting what I can find for interviews on the refideas talk page. I'm not sure how to dig up the Japanese articles, unless they are used in JA wikipedia? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:35, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- Looking under her Japanese name and interview "黒崎真音 インタビュー" in news brings up a ton of articles. Most are probably announcements but it might be worth digging through that. Or specify the title and add the name and interview. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:53, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, though I was thinking more of interviews about her music releases; they would be necessary if I were to write a "Musical style and influences" section. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 04:18, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
Hi. I plan to nominate the article mentioned for FA in the future. Could you comment on the peer review? I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks. MCMLXXXIX 15:56, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- It's now an FA nomination, feel free to comment if you wish. MCMLXXXIX 17:12, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Cool. I'll take a look when I have the chance. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:14, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
If you're going to remove the copyvio & the G12 please remember to have the revisions containing the offending text WP:REVDELed. Thanks, Cabayi (talk) 15:45, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- Cabayi, can you make that request? It seems like the overview section has been in there for a good portion of the edits. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:58, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- I've done it. My comment was more by way of being a reminder for the future. Cheers, Cabayi (talk) 16:03, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for the extra sources. Good stuff. Guy (Help!) 18:14, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for digging them up and for your analysis on the article. It looks a lot better than the 2014 versions and what was there a few days ago. :) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:15, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Just to explain my changes here, another editor had removed the birth year entirely. I only restored the information with the "age as of" template as a compromise of sorts. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:56, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- No prob. Thanks for the explanation. I find it strange that the other editor does not believe the actress can truthfully post her own birthday month and day. Usually actors don't lie about that part, but usually withhold their birth year. And the Orlando Sentinel article groups her with the other Magic cheerleaders at the time so she wouldn't be able to fake her age on that one either. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:31, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Dear Angus,
You reverted my edit to this ambiguation page, which is not primarily about some rock band i liked, but about AC/DC in general. However, AC/DC is a concept from electricity long (a century) before the rock band was named after this concept, right? So, readers should expect the primary meaning to occur first in an encyclopedia. AC/DC is mentioned on millions of electrical equipment around the globe and is more important than the rock band. The rockband here first seems fancruft. OK? Please revert, thanks, Hansmuller (talk) 17:04, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Primary topic WP:PTOPIC shows it is the rock band, so that the article be listed up front. Yes, it's based on the electricity concept, but you'd have to request that it be renamed to AC/DC (band) instead. There's also a hatnote to the dab page. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:09, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- This is ridiculous. Let's keep Wikipedia a serious affair. AC/DC is a serious concept for planetary civilisation, without it no rock bands or internet etc. for that matter at all. The rock band is a passing matter, but of course electricity goes on. How can we request that name change? Cheers, Hansmuller (talk) 17:25, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Please see Talk:AC/DC/Archive_1#Move.3F but if you still think a move should be requested you can visit WP:RM AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:30, 14 March 2017 (UTC)

Question
If there is little to no development background of a character, does it deserve to be an article? Like Hinata Hyuga and Jiraiya (Naruto)? MCMLXXXIX 19:15, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Notability is more than just whether they have a development background. I think those two characters are going mainly by reception by the anime industry. Asking Tintor2 who has worked on several GA-level anime character articles. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:29, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- There's Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Mukuro Rokudo who became GAs despite lacking creation but I think FAs require creation information. I remember back when Allen Walker was a FAC, somebody asked for more creation information. It became a FA, but I still added more creation info later.Tintor2 (talk) 00:28, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
1989 By the way, I just nominated Yu Kanda to peer review and I would like to hear your opinions if you have free time. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 02:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you're giving me such a hard time. Here's a photo of them together that doesn't explicitly state that they are married [1]. Is her own twitter feed reliable enough [2]? It's not like the NYT is going to report on this, and I don't feel like digging up their marriage license. --Mblumber (talk) 13:22, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Those are better sources. I suggest adding husband (director Bobby Miller)refs or husbandfootnote The reference to the picture and tweet would then be okay. IMDB is no good. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:57, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
Wait a few minutes
I lost some of your edits on an edit conflict. I will fix this, please be patient for a minute. Leprof 7272 (talk) 15:38, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, please leave the third-party inline tags. I changed the overall tag to that as well, but the inlines are helpful to nail down all the statements that need better sourcing from secondaries. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:52, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Will not remove third party inline tags. I can see we are largely of the same mind when it comes to insisting on quality sourcing. Note, after I am done, any redundant sources that are marked—e.g., when a fact is sourced both to a news article, and to a resume—can have inline tags removed in my view. (It is fine for self-published statements to be used to corroborate independent publications; they should just not stand alone, and when they do, the tags are needed to bring us back to those lines.) And note, while I am not strongly objecting to remaining twitter, I will insist that purported biographical facts, only based on twitter, be marked for improved referencing.
- Finally, please be aware that am very ready to turn this article back over to you—this is not in my area of great interest or expertise. I came only after watching an anime piece this actress had voiced, when a young nephew, looking at this article, said, "I thought you said FB and Twitter were unreliable biographical sources!" Hence the attention, the energy for which, as I say, is almost spent.
- That said, if you track me down, and let me know you need another voice supporting your quality initiatives, I will gladly return to support you. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 16:04, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- I mean keep the inline tags in the article (unless they've been fixed). They are useful inline as opposed to the blanket tag at the top. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:21, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- I am sorry for lost edits, but the "in use" tag was in place, asking everyone to wait. Please don't revert my hours of detailed checking/work. Not knowing the article as well as you do, I cannot possibly reproduce it quickly. I cannot revert and add yours, you will have to redo your edits yourself. Cheers, Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 17:18, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Here is the diff] you will need to see any potential changes we might have lost. INLINE MESSAGES are not meant for you. ALL CAPS is not shouting, but a way to be able to see notes clearly, in the midst of other text. If there are things of mine you removed, and I returned, lets discuss before warring. For instance, I think "Birthday tweets" and "Residence" are both un-encyclopedic, and fail to make clear the nature of the information, and that it is not best sourced. Hence the introductory sentence at both such places. (Etc.) Again, apologies for the lost edit. It would take a very long time for me to reproduce what I did. I hope yours might be after, with two windows open, using this diff. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 17:24, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: P.S. This was one of my best experiences ever, co-editing alongside another editor about mutual concerns, and so I am all the sorrier for the edit conflict, and the extra work it has made for you. Cheers. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 17:28, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: I am letting you run, but: [ i ] author presentation in the reflist should be consistent—it should not generally be "Last, First" but switch to "First Last" for tweets (so my 45 time-comsuing edits to make them consistent should not be lost/reverted). Tweets from producers and directors are still self-published, non-fact-checked content—independent of Vee, yes, so not needing a third-party tag, but still not measuring up to WP:VER, and still self-published content.
- I mean keep the inline tags in the article (unless they've been fixed). They are useful inline as opposed to the blanket tag at the top. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:21, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- For sake of encyclopedia, and article quality, leaving those tagged "Twitter selfies" as self-publisehd and and needing better sources is something is something I will fight over. (In the same vein, the fact that you know tweets are from producers and directors does not mean editors in general will, or stop there in exercising discretion about which tweets are acceptable. Too many tweets in the article is a big problem, besides casting doubt over the accuracy of the content, because it invites further less careful editors to follow suit.)
- The clarity of our expectations regarding quality must be at the level of the readily visible, not the invisible. No non-expert is going to be stopped from entering any old (non-director/producer) Tweet as a source, by our hidden messages. They might be held in check by not seeing very many tweets, rather having most content sourced from Anime magazines and places like mainstream entertainment coverage. And they might be held in check in seeing tags that make clear that using Tweets is not the best way, and if they are used, it is only in very narrow cases. Cheers, Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 17:57, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: Please see the revision histories, here over some of my alarms, regarding your reversions. Note, I undid everything I did, so as to not interfere—look at my paired edits and reversions for my messages. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 18:03, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I'm trying to go through those changes. Anime-Cons is considered a reliable source per WP:ANIME/RS and is merely supporting the statement that she attends many Yes, I'm trying to go through those changes. Anime-Cons is considered a reliable source per WP:ANIME/RS and is merely supporting the statement that she attends many conventions. If you would prefer about 20 local newspaper citations instead, that would be arranged. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:10, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
Please see WP:TWITTER. This is what I am using for birthday and residence. This is not an extraordinary claim that she says she lives in Los Angeles or is making a statement. Her twitter account is also a verified twitter. I'll stay away from the Facebook one unless it has similar verification standards. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:13, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- @AngusWOOF: Last entry here, rest on article Talk page, so as to not confuse things. Using an AnimeCon for its news feeds or to support SV's appearance somewhere is fine—it was only the use of bios appearing there, that were flagged as further self-published content. (As I explained in detail, based on the pols—but also on relevant professional experience, as I have supplied my autobio to conference organizers to put on web registratio/promotional materials.)
- And I will look at the policies you direct me too, but I'm already familiar, and that the two policies, that and WP:VERIFY are somewhat at odds. The key core principle is that FB and Twitter are both clearly self-publication venues, and the proscription of self-published sources, generally, is a fundamental one, and clear. As for why people don't trust Twitter, see the comment by S Marshall at the WP:VERIFY discussion. There, I am not looking for opinions, but for discussion of the meaning of existing policy. Cheers, no more here. Le PRof Leprof 7272 (talk) 18:50, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- When the Twitter user makes an extraordinary claim about themselves, then yes, I would not trust it. Same if the Twitter account is not verified. I replaced the other ones, especially the LupintheThird one since that was coming from a fansite. I also replaced Chris Bevins' Twitter with a different source. I agree some convention write-ups seem to come a lot from the self-published or agency published profiles or copied from the same profile article, in some instances, they even come from Wikipedia (and even my bio writing heh). Other times the publisher will write up their own profile with info, which is good, at least an effort has been made to come up with original material, as with the press release. But yes, AnimeCons bio section isn't a place to find references. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:59, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Please also check WP:ANIME/RS#Situational as that's how our project is handling Twitter and websites. Again, same policy as I have discussed. Twitter user should be verified, and Facebook is a bleh one until better source is found. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:04, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
About Dan…
So I understand why you reverted the edits, but it is quite hard to find sources, especially for videos. Can I reference his channel, because his name has definitely changed, and he has been playing other game quite frequently?
Thanks, Empoleonmaster23 (talk) 03:41, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Can you find a newspaper article that shows that he's more active in other games, and whether he still does Minecraft videos? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:46, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Here you go: [3] It doesn't say that's his main topic though. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:48, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Excluding what you found, no. I was looking for that stuff earlier, but that mostly doesn't seem to be covered by the media. He still does Minecraft videos, but they are broken up by other stuff, like Roblox, Happy Wheels and the like. Look at his channel if you need too. Empoleonmaster23 (talk) 03:48, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Right, he can make videos of anything, but it's the Minecraft stuff that is what makes him Wikipedia notable. but yes that article says he's doing content for other games, but you can only list Roblox and Tomodachi Life based on that secondary reliable source. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 03:55, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Okay, but what about the channel name? It shouldn't need a source, right? Empoleonmaster23 (talk) 04:04, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- He hasn't changed the actual channel location to DanTDM. It is still at TheDiamondMinecart. It may be currently labelled as DanTDM, but it is not clear when he changed the name to just be that. It wasn't in 2014 where you had edited in the "now just DanTDM". I also changed up the wording for the other ventures in Roblox to 2016 since the news article dates it as such. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:34, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Okay, I have the video where he changed the label here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mCiZxmZ7dQ
So, December 11-12 2016. Empoleonmaster23 (talk) 22:01, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, he is labelled as such in pseudonym for the infobox. You can add in his history section that he changed his channel label from TheDiamondMineCart // DanTDM to DanTDM. No changes needed in infobox. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:09, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
Okay. Also, have you read the most subscribed page on Wikipedia? That was where I was recieveing the infomation. Empoleonmaster23 (talk) 22:25, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- Well, we can't use other Wikipedia pages as references, and it's not that important where he is ranked among the most subscribed, just that he's on the list. Please see also Talk:K-pop#RfC:_.22Is_a_most_viewed_list_from_several_sources_acceptable.3F.22 on such charts. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:52, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
D.Gray-man
I assume you know that I nominated D.Gray-man to FA. The review has about 4 supports as well as an image source and image review passed. It has also been copyedited twice. However, a fellow reviewer found some issues. However, he now appears to be busy and to make it worse, my computer broke last Friday. I am writing from my tablet but it is quite impractical. Could you give the article a look? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 15:06, 23 March 2017 (UTC) Wait, it actually has five supports. Do not worry if you are busy. Cristina Vee
She was in Planetes and IGPX, just look at her old resume for once, before you make another change.--AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 00:47, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- She's not credited in the credits though. You really want the entire article to be tagged for bad sources again? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:54, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- The Japanese voice actress is credited for Andrei's daughter, but Vee is not listed in the same credits for the same part. And there's no "Additional voices" listing for that episode. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:37, 21 March 2017 (UTC)
- YOU are missing the point here Angus, if the role was listed in her resume (be it old or new), then it is listed in her resume, that's the main reason why resume's are listed on some actors websites!!!!--AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 16:48, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
- I've put a note in her filmography saying the role is uncredited (not shown on credits), but it's still a self-pub. Hopefully her old resume is sufficient to keep it there. I just don't want those stupid BLP refimprove tags anymore. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:02, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Voice acting
Hi anguswoof, A time ago u are saying that voice actors don't know the officialspelling of characters! But u make's a mistake! When a voice actor dubbed a serie/movie then he/she have a script with the name of the character. And if Caren was Stella why she not mentioned her roles at her indiegogo profile? And why Gregory known who is Stella? I also asked to Carol but she don't know and Liza don't answered! And why is Liza stopped with voice acting? After 4kids? And how fox edit Winx episodes?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:55, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- But you're asking a voice actor about a part from many years ago. They won't remember the spelling. They won't know any last names unless it was really important they got the spelling right, which in most cases, it's not. For example, Icy vs. Icey, Brandon vs. Brandan. And you're still not being specific as to what the problem is. Also self-published sources are being more scrutinized these days; it is better for someone else to publish their information as with the theatre posting an event and biography of Caren. As for Greg's post, if you contest that, then fine. Would you rather have Stella just be listed as unknown since no one else seems to have conclusive proof who voiced her in the 4Kids version? It seems you still don't believe the venue's posting of information on Caren Manuel. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 05:59, 28 March 2017 (UTC) updated 17:19, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Maid-Sama and Chivalry of a Failed Knight episodes
Hi. While I'm still working on List of Brave Witches episodes, can you please help with the summaries for List of Maid Sama! episodes and List of Chivalry of a Failed Knight episodes and also take a look at List of Ai Yori Aoshi characters? I intend to make these episode lists at least a B-Class and want to make sure the summaries are between the 100 to 200 word count per WP:TVPLOT, while I'm trying to clean up the Ai Yori Aoshi character list. Any thoughts on what we should do? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 06:29, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry I haven't gotten around to watching anime shows. Do those summaries just need a shortening up or fill in content? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:13, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- I think the episode lists can be trimmed down to below 200 words if its a straightforward plot (like Brave Witches). Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:00, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
- I will see what I can do. Some of those episodes aren't available at the usual places. I just found a whopper over at One-Punch Man. Lots of stuff to overhaul there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 14:38, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Yu Kanda
After getting a new computer and failing the FAC D.Gray-man, I decided to focus on smaller articles. As a result, I've been adding more information to another character from the same series, Yu Kanda. Since you helped me with the prose of Allen last year, I wonder if you had free time to do something about Kanda's prose (it's quite poor due to my grammar). Anyway, regards.Tintor2 (talk) 19:45, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
Kirakira PreCure a la Mode
You the edit I did on the Pretty Cure page you thanked me? It's been reverted by that user Farix who to use "real world" organization for this article. And don't even know why exactly. The other articles for the other Pretty Cure didn't use real-world organization for the headings under characters. Why should this be any different? I get some of the edits, because some info is not even sourced, but why change the headings to match the real-world? I've tried asking the user, but he still hasn't replied. --ExplorerX19 (talk) 17:55, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- It was with regards to the subsection for the Kirakiraru Thieves, in the official website they grouped the two characters under "enemy" [4] so the show just groups them as Enemies or Antagonists. Similarly they grouped the supporting characters as "People" although it included a cat, so I renamed that to Secondary characters as they were still notable to be listed for the show and not episodics. We're trying to keep the descriptions in the real-world context per MOS:INUNIVERSE, so the character descriptions should be scrubbed so they aren't just about rehashing plot. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:20, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- So they didn't even bother to check the Japanese headings for groups of characters in the official website and just go by the English parts of the url because they could be bother to get anyone to translate to confirm? --ExplorerX19 (talk) 21:11, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Farix, could you help elaborate what ExplorerX19 can help regarding the real world organization? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:22, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Farix still hasn't responded. Now what?--ExplorerX19 (talk) 23:50, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
Your thoughts
We have an apparent sock-puppet, Blaineandersean, with a singular interest in re-creating the repeatedly deleted list from K-pop. While some of their edits have been deleted with the speedied articles, an admin looking into the case can easily bring those up to see how they fit in with the puppeteer's edits. I'm wondering if you think a sock puppetry case would be productive. - SummerPhDv2.0 15:17, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
- Is he socking on behalf of another banned account? You could also send him to AIV for disruptive editing. Salting the link would be good too. 15:20, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

- The admins over at SPI can do those ip address checks and then it's a matter of WP:DUCK behavior. Was the original account banned though? SPI is used more for block evasion. It won't have much traction on copycats or others who are wanting to make their own list. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:06, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

Recreate Ed Blaylock article?
Hello. Now that Ed Blaylock has passed away, I want to ask you a quick question: is it necessary to recreate the Ed Blaylock article? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 07:14, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
- He's still a one-role wonder (Bradley from FMA) so we'd need more help to get him to meet WP:ENT. With his unfortunate passing, the good thing is there should be more secondary sources to summarize his career. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:15, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
BRD
This is a bit troublesome [5] that would catch the eye of an admin. Im not accusing either side but try WP:BRD next time, I have been there myself heated in the moment. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 17:49, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, I've tagged the statement as disputed-inline and started the RFC. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:06, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- I think that's what I was trying to do. Boldly fix the article's lead which cluttered announcing seasons and then broadcasting seasons like a timeline, and not giving any context for the volumes. I agree with your removing the referencing to the Wikipedia definition of anime. It looks like NOW I'm finding a preponderance of news sources that support defining it as an American-produced anime show, even if much of it is because of Rooster Teeth's marketing, that it did hit all these mainstream media sources, indicating inclusion as an anime. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:20, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Brave Witches episodes?
I know we've been busy with other articles, but given our work relating to episode lists, I think now would be the time to rework the List of Brave Witches episodes if it's possible, in particular the summaries (which may need to be cut down since it's a pretty straightforward plot, after all), now that Funimation has announced that they will dub the series. Thoughts or objections? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 00:18, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

You that anon who keeps adding Levi or those change to the anime name? If it keeps going we'll have to request the page to be protected. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 22:22, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

- Ah, I don't have all AoT pages on my watchlist. Gonna add them. We could also leave a hidden message in case an anon tries to change it on goodfaith.Tintor2 (talk) 23:05, 5 May 2017 (UTC)

- The article concerning the voice actor had a very heated AFD last year. Efforts were made recently to re-create the article. It was still crappy until I combed through it and tried to put in more reliable sources, during which I discovered there are a bunch of Mike Pollocks around, enough to dethrone the voice actor from being primary topic. The dab page even has more potentially notable Mike Pollocks. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 23:01, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

Mark Stoddard
Hello I would like you recreate Mark Stodard page a voice actor who is known for his role as Inspector Meguire from Case Closed he has 151 voice actor role i think it should be recreated — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jabunra (talk • contribs) 20:38, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
- Can you find some news articles that talk about his career so that his article can meet the requirements for WP:GNG? Having a bunch of minor roles isn't going to help his notability. He also needs to meet WP:ENT which says multiple significant roles in multiple productions. Meguire is just one role in one production. He's only got one anime convention visit [6] and that was in Texas, so it wasn't far to travel. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:07, 11 May 2017 (UTC)
Total Drama
I see you are trying to clean-up all the Total Drama articles, so thanks for that. It would be nice to finally see these articles move up to C-class rating. Giggett (talk) 00:20, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! Hopefully the character organization will be more helpful. The scary part is the elimination tables. I think they should be done like Hell's Kitchen (U.S. season 8), keep it nice and simple and not so many colors. People just want to know who was eliminated. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:22, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- Perhaps the characters should be moved back to a List of Total Drama characters since they are recurring so much in all seasons, and their descriptions are rather redundant? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:16, 16 May 2017 (UTC)
- It looks like there's been AFDs to remove the list, so I guess it'll have to stay out for now. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:21, 16 May 2017 (UTC)

The Lego Batman Movie - Recent Edits
Hi. I like to inform you that I had to revert these recent edits, because I have not seen this article setup used on any articles covering animated films. Take a look at a number of them, like Antz, or The Lego Movie, or even the original Disney movie of Beauty and the Beast. None of them have a section entitled "Voice Cast"; they all simply state "Cast" for the section's title.
If you believe this should be an arrangement for animated films in future, may I suggest putting this up for discussion on the talk page for Wikipedia's Manual of Style for Films - WP:MOSFILM - before changing this to "Voice Cast" in future. At least get a general consensus that this should be done in future. GUtt01 (talk) 17:08, 13 June 2017 (UTC)
- It should, especially for animated ones, but it looks like discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Manual_of_Style/Film#Cast_or_Voice_cast_on_animated_films says it can be established either way. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 13:48, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

WikiProject Redirect
Hi. This might seem sort of stupid question. I recently came across a few articles. In the history of these articles, I saw you redirected the draft pages of the same name to these articles (like Mark Laskowski). But I couldnt understand how you found these drafts, and what was the reason for redirecting these drafts to the articles. Would you please tell me about it? Kindly ping me when replying. Thanks. :-)
—usernamekiran(talk) 20:14, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
- Usernamekiran, they were originally Wikipedia articles for the voice actors for many years, but another editor moved them to draft because they were stubs, so I moved them back. If you don't feel that the actors meet notability then they should be AFD'ed. The RFD part is to get rid of the Draft redirect which is unnecessary, since the articles were never really developed in the Draft space in the first place. Removal on Voice actors
Stop making this a big deal on the Tara Strong page Anguswoof, It's just like removing Voice actor on every on-screen voice actor's page (e.g. Clancy Brown, Alan Tudyk) just because you say it is "redundant". I honestly do not think it makes sense to have it remove on EVERONE as a lot of us are more familiar with some of the actor's voicework than their on-camera acting, of course that is secondary, but beyond that stop removing it!!!--AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 04:04, 26 June 2017 (UTC)

This is to inform you that an attempt is being made to overturn an RfC that you commented on (2 RfCs, actually, one less than six months ago and another a year ago). The new RfC is at:
Specifically, it asks that "religion = none" be allowed in the infobox.
The first RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:
- 15 June 2015 RfC: RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
The result of that RfC was "unambiguously in favour of omitting the parameter altogether for 'none' " and despite the RfC title, additionally found that "There's no obvious reason why this would not apply to historical or fictional characters, institutions etc.", and that nonreligions listed in the religion entry should be removed when found "in any article".
The second RfC that this new RfC is trying to overturn is:
- 31 December 2015 RfC: RfC: Religion in infoboxes.
The result of that RfC was that the "in all Wikipedia articles, without exception, nonreligions should not be listed in the Religion= parameter of the infobox.".
Note: I am informing everyone who commented on the above RfCs, whether they supported or opposed the final consensus. --Guy Macon (talk) 04:22, 26 June 2017 (UTC)
Wizard Barristers official title concern
Hey AngusWOOF, I do have a concern on the official title of Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil. Although, based on the talk page you told me to look at, Crunchyroll may "refer" to the anime series as just Wizard Barristers, why does the opening credits officially say Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil? I am sorry for being nitpicky about this, but I am wondering if you noticed how the title appears during opening credits. AnimeEditor (communicator • database) 1:28, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- Benmashi Cecil is the subtitle, so the common name would be sufficient to identify the series. This could be revisited if Wizard Barristers has a franchise going and needs to be more precise. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 01:47, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- I do see your point, and I will leave it alone. I just believed that this page deserved the "full title". I apologize for attempting to change the title without even viewing its talk page. On that page, I mostly fixed the characters descriptions and episode summaries. It looks much better now. AnimeEditor (communicator • database) 7:07, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing it up. The title stuff can go all sorts of ways so we try what can be helpful. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:26, 28 June 2017 (UTC)

Looking for feedback regarding RfD/AfD
Good evening, sir.
I've seen you around at xfD. I share your interest in Japanese culture. I'm editing Wikipedia these days after several years without a computer. I'm just looking for feedback concerning my contributions to xfD. I'm thinking I need to adjust my thinking so that I'm closer to Wikipedia's norms. Am I right? - Richard Cavell (talk) 19:52, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
- I think your participation in the redirect discussion looks fine. I try to find uses in search for the terms and also notability before I recommend deletion. As for the Japanese AFDs, it's all about notability. JA Wikipedia, while it can't be used to prove notability, does have some references to articles, but unless you can read those (or take a good stab at it with an online translator), it's unknown whether it's just a cast announcement or an actual in-depth on the actor. If it's the latter, then that helps. There are a ton of articles that are stub filmographies and don't convey any information on why the person is Wikipedia-notable. If it's an anime voice actor then I look up databases like Anime News Network to see if they have news articles on the person and whether they are voicing characters that are more than just some background guest roles. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:41, 30 June 2017 (UTC)
Voice Actors
Hi, want to get your opinion on something, I saw you added several AFD'ed VA's to the requested articles section. After checking some previous AFD's, I found two that have been re-created (Justin Briner, Dawn M. Bennett) and I'm not sure they've been improved to meet notability. Esw01407 (talk) 18:57, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
- I added the other VAs to the request list because they were re-created soon after they had been AFD'ed for a while. If they haven't been improved to the point that they are notable, you can AFD them. I've pushed those two back to Draft. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:12, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
- Briner's article is now in Draft. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:37, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
- Bennett's article is also in Draft now, so you can improve those two articles there. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 13:58, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
Stella Manuel
Hi anguswoof Why are u saying to my edit "Not this crap again"? What do u mean with that? I just have right because she never write or spoke about Stella! Stella and Darcy voices are very different! i ask to Erica Veronica and Carol and they don't know about others! Why Gregory know it (if it's true?)--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:34, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- Because you haven't brought any new information concerning Stella and Caren Manuel that wasn't already shown by the sources provided. See the Winx Club talk page. It doesn't make sense that you would reject a detailed venue writeup of Caren Manuel's career yet accept an actor Lisa Adams's resume when Adams is not listed in the closing credits and Manuel is. And then you won't accept a tweet from a voice actor who worked on the show who confirmed that Manuel voiced Stella? How has this changed from years ago when you questioned all this? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:44, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- As for voice matching, you can't go by that. That's original research. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:46, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
But a voice actor can also make's mistakes if it's true why erica and others don't know it?
- The only part I see that's a mistake is assuming Winx Club was recorded with 4Kids for 4 seasons. Is there another source that says she didn't voice the role? And I don't mean Lisa Adams' resume. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:57, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
So how has the situation changed since you last complained about this? Do you have any new sources of information to swing it either way? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 21:05, 2 August 2017 (UTC) No! And why they saying 4 seasons? Fox tv made s1 to 3! Not 4! And why Lisa don't saying that she is stella for 3 episodes?? What is you're mail? I can show u the proof!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 12:18, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

trix duart
Hi, Do u have proof for me where Haven saying that she is also Darcy? And Saskia is Stormy? I only see at wiki pages and imdb not others!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 09:35, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- DuArt shows like Winx Club season 7 and World of Winx have the voice actors listed in the closing credits and their roles. However, if it's not a major character, I don't know if the closing credit will show them. Are those characters in season 7? AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:57, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- I've trimmed season 7 to only the actors and roles shown in the closing credits. The others are considered minor characters, even if they are recurring. If you have other season 7 closing credits that show other characters and their voice actors, you can add those. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:03, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- So that means only Roxy, Sky, Brandon, Tim, Kalshara, Brafilius, and Faragona count towards the supporting cast. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:04, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
- omg why u delete other majo roles that bot mentioned at s7 credits? Not every character is listened in the credits but appeared in the show! U delete my info then i do it to! For Caren: her name is not credited for Stella! Haven sayed on egp and bristol at instagram! For kiko and shiny! Anyway: there is no proof that Haven is darcy! But there is proof for kiko shiny icy duart!
- Like I said, for DuArt, they only list 13 characters and their voice actors in the closing credits so any other characters like Squonk or the Trix should be credited just in the characters list. The other roles as listed by voice actors should be placed in the characters article. 4Kids is different! They don't list ANY characters with their voice actors. So all 4Kids credits matching roles to voice actors are dependent on other sources. If you don't want any character matching on 4Kids, then I suggest reducing it to just the voice actor list and that's it, which isn't going to be helpful for anyone. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:35, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
So and why 4kids don't show characters for the voice actors??

Hallo AngusWOOF,
Please stop with this moving around of Blue Dragon. The general public outside the gaming world is not familiar with this video game, and Blue Dragon can mean so many other things. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite voice credits
Here's an album of collected screens from release copies of the game that have emerged over the last few days, including a listing of the voice actors for every playable character and major NPC. The game itself will be out in less than a week, and multiple individuals have started streaming from review copies (the current official embargo limits them to Versus and Training modes, so we won't get anything beyond that officially until the 19th), so I have no reason to doubt the veracity of these images, especially when they're consistent with leaked footage that has similarly surfaced, such as the Ultron Omega boss fight. At the very least, on the 1% chance they ARE fake, it'll only be a couple of days before we know for sure. Beyond just Diskin's page, this will also give you a point of reference should anyone try to add and/or remove this information from the relevant character and actor pages. -- 136.181.195.25 (talk) 18:49, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reddit reference. We can wait for the 19th, when others will then post a YouTube video of the credits. I've tagged that entry to be verified in the meantime. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:57, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

- Lisa Adams has it on her resume but she is not credited in the 4Kids closing credits at all! AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:13, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- Sometimes voice actors know which other voice actors are voicing in the program. They see them come in and out of the booth and talk to them. Sometimes they don't, like with Veronica and Carol. You'd have to ask a casting director on the show for who voiced who. Anyway, your voice123 profile for Lisa Adams is a self-publish. She might have voiced Stella, but I would say that Caren Manuel has a similar claim to Stella as she had her profile published on The Cutting Room venue, plus her name is consistently listed in the credits for the three seasons. Greg tweeted in response to your question and said Caren voiced Stella. If you don't trust any of those, then you'd have to assume all the voice actors are lying and question all tweets. Notice I combined the 4kids voices for primary and secondary actors for Winx Club so that everyone under Lead Voices is listed, and the ones under Additional Voices are on the right. I gave him an only warning for that attack, but what should we do about cleaning up the article? I also suspect that he's an IP hopper (for example, the IPs 2601:246:4804:360:d8b5:3436:e679:b9a4 (talk · contribs · (/64) · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RBLs · http · block user · block log), 2601:8c:4001:dc9b:d0b7:6e61:10f5:886e (talk · contribs · (/64) · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) also geolocate to Lake Zurich). Can you also look into this? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 06:45, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- If he bugs you too much with disruptive edits, you can ask that the article be page protected. I've reorganized the main characters based on how they are listed from the anime official website. Strangely enough, Carly and Mina aren't listed on the English website, but they're starring in cast/staff so I moved them upwards. I think the next step is to list characters from the 4K Media official website for the show. There are 30 of them to add or comb through. [9] The rest can be commented out until their importance is shown. Afterwards, we should reorg by episode first appearance, and detailing all the references with episode refs, but that means having to watch through the show (it's on Crunchyroll and such) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 10:29, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

About Kill la Kill
What did you mean that the anime Kill la Kill is on CN's [adult swim] doesn't mean it's an adult cartoon (based on what you wrote on the page's edit history summery)?! Of course it is an adult animation! Because upon researching about it, I can tell it's an adult-oriented show, meaning it's intended for nobody but solely adults (either 17 or older than 17), considering that it is known for its strong languages, explicit themes, graphic violence, sex, etc. that people who are not adults can't handle, just like any other.
Commented by Wiki-Ikiw (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:21, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
- You need to provide sources that show it fits in that particular category. They'll even put Naruto, Bleach, and Fullmetal Alchemist on Adult Swim, but it doesn't mean it's an adult animation show. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 20:40, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
- What's the point of that anime? It makes no sense whatsoever! The tone of it is the same as other [adult swim] shows, because it is does not look kid/family-friendly.
- But who are the real target audience for Kill la Kill? I mean please tell me, like, what kind of group of audience would wanna watch that gruesome, violent, suggestive, offensive and disgusting non-family-friendly Japanese animated series?! And same goes to Blech, etc.
- Commented by Wiki-Ikiw — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki-Ikiw (talk • contribs) 15:51, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't say the show was family-friendly animation either. You need to dig up some reviews from secondary sources that classify it as adult animation. But it isn't the strictly 18+ or hentai which is what is the term used to classify adult anime. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:06, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
Hawk Moth alias Gabriel Agreste
I really don't see how the fact of Gabriel Agreste's identity as Hawk Moth not being disclosed until the second season has any relevance to the "necessity" of citing the fact itself. I did use the phrase "revealed to be" instead of simply "aka" to try to succinctly distinguish the fact that it was not established "off the bat". It IS Hawk Moth's identity, and that is significant, which reasonably constitutes "necessity". 2601:545:8202:4EA5:6102:753D:6DF1:5B3B (talk) 16:20, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- It's a matter of context and common name. Throughout the series he is not referred to as "Gabriel Agreste a.k.a. Hawk Moth" or "Hawk Moth (real identity Gabriel Agreste)" as with the main two characters. You can reconsider if in season 2 his character is marketed as such. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:12, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- You like to harp on "throughout the series", which of course hasn't been the case since it was only recently revealed. But that still doesn't establish any relevance to not referring to it now that it IS known. It's hard to even say how his "marketing" bears on purely informational content, anyway. I have a feeling we should seek a consensus on this. 2601:545:8202:4EA5:6102:753D:6DF1:5B3B (talk) 17:46, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- It's in the same context as Darth Vader in the Star Wars films. His common name is Darth Vader and later on he is revealed to be Anakin Skywalker, but in the characters list entry he isn't "Anakin Skywalker a.k.a. Darth Vader" until they created Episode 1. That's what I meant by marketing. Also if the characters are in a separate list or have their own article, then full identities can be listed in those paragraphs like with Bart Simpson and Indiana Jones. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:54, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- What character list entry(-ies) are you referring to? (At what venue?) At any rate, there'd be an excellent reason why he wouldn't be "Anakin Skywalker a.k.a. Darth Vader" until they created Episode 1. He never appeared in the guise of "Anakin" until the very tail end of the third film produced (episode 6). Then in the next film, Episode 1 that you cite, he appeared only as "Anakin"; yet you allow that he was "dual billed" nonetheless. Contrasted with Miraculous Ladybug, where the character in question has appeared in both guises "throughout the series", as you like to say. So the Star Wars analogy does nothing to serve your point. If anything, it only strengthens mine. As for your new edit, considering that two characters are already dual-listed, and I'm talking about adding five words, you are REEEALLY stretching any "point" you're trying to make there! It is just utterly beyond the pale to suggest that that would only be appropriate where there is coverage an order of magnitude larger as with the Bart Simpson and Indiana Jones articles! 2601:545:8202:4EA5:6102:753D:6DF1:5B3B (talk) 19:39, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- Let me see if I can word it earlier in the description. All I'm saying is that he shouldn't be getting an a.k.a. billing as with the two main characters. But if most of the season 2 episodes regularly show him as Gabriel and transforming into Hawk Moth, then I'll change my stance. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:54, 10 November 2017 (UTC)
- And that simply is not reasonable. The two "characters" are there, both of importance -- and they are really one. It only makes sense to acknowledge it. NOT doing so is a glaring mistake! 2601:545:8202:4EA5:6102:753D:6DF1:5B3B (talk) 21:08, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

Since I notice you have some knowledge with the fandom, would you be willing to join and help revive WP:FURRY, a WikiProject dedicated to articles belonging to the fandom? From what I see as a supporter, not only do they need to improve their goal to make it look less like something from Wikia, but it could definitely use an additional editor who knows how Wikipedia works. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 17:22, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
- Jd22292, I don't have much knowledge about the fandom, but there's that book that Fred Patten wrote that details some of the conventions they used, and it could be used as reference material for the list. But let me know if you have any particular articles you need to be Wikified. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:32, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

However, now that I'm a part of Articles for creation, as well as putting my focus on other non-Wikipedia activities, I do not have the time to add to what I already included during the review process. Copying within Wikipedia
Hi, when copying within Wikipedia like you did on List of Star vs. the Forces of Evil characters, you must for copyright reasons include edit summary attribution each time you copy content. This is done easily by adding something like Content copied from [[Foo]], see that page for attribution
to the edit summary when you copy the content. I have gone ahead and done it for you in this case. All the best. TonyBallioni (talk) 15:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- TonyBallioni, thanks for adding the copied statement. I'll use the same on the target article. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:35, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- You don't need to add it to the edit history of the article copied from. You can add Template:Copied to both, but that's really only useful if the source page is at risk of deletion. The only thing that is mandatory is edit summary attribution in the article where copied content was added. TonyBallioni (talk) 15:38, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, well it's too late to change the edit summary. I'll have to remember it for next time. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:39, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi. I apologize if you came away with the misimpression that a COI tag means that a particular editor (or editors) is/are in direct contact with the subject of the article in question. I believe this to be an unwarranted exegesis. I don't remember tagging the article but I obviously did, most likely because the article overall seemed to be unduly redolent of fancruft and/or laden with trivia. Since the tag has been deleted, it's moot now, anyway. Apologies for any perceived lack of consideration on my part. Yours, Quis separabit? 23:57, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- Can you help me with which parts might be perceived as fancruft? Maybe it's my writing style. I've tried to write in a neutral objective what were his most important roles (Legends, Phineas and Ferb, American Dad, Star Wars, Boxtrolls) and how it was received among critics and the audience. Please observe WP:INTDABLINK and avoid making direct links to disambiguation pages like this one with "Canal Ocho". Any time you make an intentional link to a disambiguation link, make it through a redirect containing a "(disambiguation)" parenthetical, so it does not cause our system to think that it is an error needing to be fixed. Cheers! bd2412 T 23:31, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
- bd2412, I think what's confusing is that both of those, with and without dab, both point to Channel 8. But since the "(dismbiguation)" one is an option, we can use that. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Koda Kumi good article reassessment
Koda Kumi, an article that you or your project may be interested in, has been nominated for an individual good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, which could last as little as seven days depending on responses, the good article status may be removed from the article. Thank you. DYK for Ai Kayano
On 5 December 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ai Kayano, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Japanese voice actress Ai Kayano worked in the beauty industry to pay for her voice acting school tuition? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ai Kayano. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Ai Kayano), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

sorry i made that edit more so because i was trying to recover something else someone destroyed. the wiki page used to list all cards against humanity releases and thats disappeared — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rudeja (talk • contribs) 02:29, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
- You'll have to discuss that on the article's talk page as there are multiple editors who believe that information is fancruft and a catalog table. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 02:32, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Shun Cutlery page
Thank you for your edits to the Shun Cutlery page! Can you have a look at the edits I made to the first two problematic sections? Also, for the entertainment section, which references should I remove? I was a little confused as to which TV spottings you thought were OK and which ones weren't. Thank you for your help.
- I'm just a bit wary of the random ones that are sourced by the KAI blog. It's different from when a company makes a deal to sponsor the knives used in a show [10] or when celebrity chefs talks about their favorite knives like [11] AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:40, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Question?
How is ANN not a reliable source and plus its been confirmed Cherami Leigh plays Regina, so i don't understand why my edit was reverted. Rockercar32 (talk) 18:48, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
- Please read WP:ANIME/RS#Situational. The encyclopedia portion is user-generated/edited so it is not reliable. Only the news and reviews sections are reliable as those are posted by staff members. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:41, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

Derek Sarno stub tag
Hey there. You added a stub tag to the Derek Sarno page I made. But I'm not seeing any obvious ways in which it could be expanded because I used basically all the important information I found online. Could you clarify how you think it could be expanded? I'm a newer editor, so my apologies if this request doesn't make sense. Utsill (talk) 15:55, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, please see my comments on the talk page. It's got great potential to move beyond Stub. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:21, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
Just a suggestion
I've noticed that you've nominated several articles about voice actors, singers, or authors for deletion, but also recommending redirecting those articles to specific articles. Considering AFD is Articles for deletion, I would suggest that instead of nominating these articles for deletion but you're actually requesting a redirect or merge, you should instead start a discussion on the relevant talkpages, or even boldly redirecting the articles yourself. Considering the workload that exists on AfD, I suggest that you only nominate the articles for deletion if there's no relevant article that could work as a redirect target. Thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:43, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- I'll try to boldly redirect some. Just that merge requests get practically no visibility, and in some cases, the article is so full of fancruft, there's no content to merge to the main. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 06:17, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
"Star Comes to Earth" and "Storm the Castle"
Thank you for your help on "Star Comes to Earth", I appreciate all the cleanup. I was wondering, would you think "Storm the Castle" to be a notable episode? I have a draft of the article written up, but before sending it out, I thought maybe I'd get a second opinion. AntiGravityMaster (talk) 19:20, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- Can you find some secondary sources independent of the subject to cover Storm the Castle? It would need to meet WP:GNG and the stuff in WP:EPISODE. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 19:50, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
Hello AngusWOOF. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. TonyBallioni (talk) 18:16, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey AngusWOOF. Regarding LinkedIn: yeah, I get the verification bit. But it's a primary source, the opposite of independent, and it seems spammy. Surely, there's an independent source out there somewhere? If not, I'm not so sure it really belongs. RivertorchFIREWATER 18:53, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Right, it's WP:SELFPUB and WP:LISTBIO, but the lists of people don't require the sources be independent of the subject. There are some primaries such as alumni newsletters or newspapers or if he lists it in his own bio. It doesn't seem like an extraordinary claim, but it could be commented out if need be. I agree it's better if it were a secondary source. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 18:59, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm, OK, so we agree that the sourcing could be better. The other criterion I use when looking at such lists is to see if there's reciprocity in the individual's article. (In this case, there isn't.) If a person's article doesn't mention what school they attended, why should the school article list the person? (This is assuming the person's article isn't a brand-new stub, of course.) RivertorchFIREWATER 16:57, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
- That's true. It could be commented out on similar grounds to WP:DABMENTION. Meltzer's article needs more development, even if early career stuff is from interviews / primary sources since he started the newsletter prior to the Internet being big and archiving everything. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 17:00, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
- Rivertorch, I've commented out the entry until it gets properly filled out on Meltzer's article. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 22:13, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

- Sounds good. If I get a moment over the holidays, I'll poke around for another source and, if I find one, add it to both articles. Thanks! RivertorchFIREWATER 04:47, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 23
An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Houko Kuwashima, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dead or Alive (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, AngusWOOF.
I recently sent you an invitation to join NPP, but you also might be the right candidate for another related project, AfC, which is also extremely backlogged. |
ts episodes
Hello. Do u known the official totally spies number episodes? In every language episodes are different from number. Queen for a day example is sometimes 2 or 12 --Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:42, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- Are you asking about the total number of episodes or the episode ordering? The ordering will be different as they are often broadcast out of order. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 00:48, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
The episode ordering! As i sayed: queen for day (example) is sometimes 12 or 2.
- Teletoon showed it as the second episode but copyright.gov and Netflix ordering shows it was number 12 in season 1. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:05, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
New Years new page backlog drive
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Halfway To Heaven (Harry Chapin)
Hi there. I'm contacting you today because of the review that you left for my page for the song mentioned. Thank you, first of all, for pointing out my lack of resources, which I'll be adding. The only problem I have with your edit is that you added a notability question. The song was not released as a single. Therefore, technically, it eliminates all the categories for the notability page. So, I assume that the only way to judge if it is notable or not is if the album won grammys or charted on a national chart. Luckily for me, all of Harry Chapin's albums charted and a majority became gold records or better. The album that the song came from charted at #4 with a #1 single and a grammy nomination for the single. So going by the album, the song is definitely notable.
Now, all of what I have said above is assuming that the only way to judge notability for a song and not a single is by the album. The reason I assume this is because that is the only logical way, otherwise technically, based on the judgement guidelines, I could go through and add what you added to every song that isn't a single. I look forward to your reply. Thank you. Citybuild122 (talk) 12:43, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Brandon
- If all its notability is associated with his album, the article should be merged with the album. Please check WP:NSONG. Otherwise it needs sources that critique only the song itself and not reviews in which there is a passing mention of the song. AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 15:43, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
- I will get some sources for that today. Song definitely has some notability with it, especially having an unreleased counterpart.
Citybuild122 (talk) 16:27, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Brandon
- Hi again, I added in a review from the song along with a cite for that review. Plan to upload an audio file to YouTube in which Harry explains the origins of the songs, and that will be everything that needed citations.
Just wondering, are you a fan of Harry? Citybuild122 (talk) 16:43, 4 January 2018 (UTC)Brandon
- Thanks. I came across it mostly from New Pages Feed, so not a particular fan. I recognize some of his songs though :) AngusWOOF (bark • sniff) 16:46, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
