License tagging for File:Robert academy award 2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Robert academy award 2007.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:09, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:William-levy.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Tbhotch. Re:Televisa's telenovelas

It has been decided not to put that information until it is fully confirmed. It would also be changing all the time and that would be annoying. information that is speculative. See related articles history. Greetings.--GeorgeMilan talk 18:41, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have already noted, it is not good to place information only creates vandalism page and there you go change all the time, it is best to add the information when everything is confirmed. and so you can add the names of the characters and actors. and we can not know if this soap opera will premiere in May perhaps can be canceled. Like I said before is not good to put this kind of information then falls to replenish the text.--GeorgeMilan talk 00:38, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The writer has said it does not mean anything, we can not know if there will be change in programming, I told you before is better not to add unnecessary information. you can add when everything is fully confirmed and please if all that you say is true, add references to reliable sources.--GeorgeMilan talk 12:55, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

new page problem.

[edit]

In your new pages, such as Lorena Álvarez ‎. You've been doing a couple things wrong.

  1. DEFAULTSORT has a space after the comma. Without the space, the sorting algorithm only sees one word, not a surname and first name.
  2. DEFAULTSORT only contains the standard 26-letter English alphabet.
  3. In PERSONDATA, the name parameter is surname, first.

For Lorena Álvarez, the DEFAULTSORT is {{DEFAULTSORT:Alvarez, Lorena}}

For María Rebeca it is {{DEFAULTSORT:Maria Rebeca}} as neither name is a surname. Bgwhite (talk) 07:00, 26 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Abandonada (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Fisheriesmgmt (talk) 15:41, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I need you to give me a good explanation of the because my edits get reverted in: Gianluca Ginoble‎ and Piero Barone‎. My edit is correct, because they don't have a race apart from the band, as to create a paragraph about his life, in any case, any information you can fit in the main article. Other cases like this have been in [One Direction]], that you see, not every member of the band have an article about them himself. In any case if many more information about the Member of Il Volo, then create an article as: List of One Direction members. --Philip J Fry (talk) 17:24, 23 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Giorgis Tsampourakis moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Giorgis Tsampourakis, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Problem with your custom signature

[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 05:12, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Translations

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for translating missing articles from the Greek Wikipedia! Please bear in mind that WP:ATTRIBUTION is required for such articles, as outlined at WP:TFOLWP. Constantine 16:58, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please take the time to properly render terms from Greek, especially colloquial ones, into English. E.g. at Fotos Tzavelas "ασκέρι" is a Turkish word for "army"; simply transcribing it into "askeri" is not enough, as it is not an English word and thus not understandable by an English reader. If you don't know what the terms mean, please abstain from translating the articles at all; and please avoid machine translations per WP:MACHINETRANSLATION. Constantine 12:35, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please take more care of your translations. If you don't have a sufficient command both Greek and English, do not translate to and from. Your articles are riddled with poor translations due to false friends. For example, υπασπιστής in the modern context is not a hypaspist, but an aide de camp; Ακμή is not acne, but zenith or height. At the very least, use a dictionary, and don't guess. Constantine 12:44, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Again, please take time and research before translating, and edit the articles so they are readable in English, explain their context to a non-Greek person, and comply to Wikipedia's WP:MOS. See for example Despo Botsi as you left it and now. Constantine 10:36, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Similarly for Red Cross Hospital, Athens or Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery, Koronisia. And please attribute your translation to the Greek WP. This is not optional, but mandated by policy. Constantine 10:51, 16 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Μάργκαρετ Γκάρντινερ

[edit]

Hello Alka21,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Joseywales1961, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Μάργκαρετ Γκάρντινερ for deletion, because it's not written in English and seems to have been copied from an article on another Wikimedia project. To request a translation, please visit our translators over here. If you'd like to contribute to another Wikipedia, take a look at our full list of language projects.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Joseywales1961}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Your contributed article, Γιοβάνα Γιάνκοβιτς

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Γιοβάνα Γιάνκοβιτς. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – el:Γιοβάνα Γιάνκοβιτς. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at el:Γιοβάνα Γιάνκοβιτς. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at [[Talk:el:Γιοβάνα Γιάνκοβιτς|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Flemmish Nietzsche (talk) 18:47, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Korgialeneio Benakeio Hellenic Red Cross Hospital. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:31, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Syros General Hospital Vardakeio & Proio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no sources, not notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of hospitals in Greece, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Argos and Arta.
