I disagree with your revert. Please advise how to have the "discussion" with many people involved to decide. Equinox ◑ 00:01, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Equinox: You will have to go ahead and start a move discussion on the page since there is a lot of edit history attached to the title the page is currently at. In order to maintain history, if it is agreed that the redirect should change targets, there needs to be an alternative redirect created so that the information currently held in the history of Spindizzy moves to somewhere else, maybe something like Spindizzy (Cities in Flight). I think it would be most appropriate to start a move discussion at the page Spindizzy (disambiguation) to see if people would agree with the video game being the primary topic. Adamtt9 (talk) 00:12, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks. I can't be bothered with that nonsense. I will just keep a separate redirect in my own tiny brain. But it does seem totally f'ing absurd to me that an obscure thing inside a sci-fi universe takes priority over a major top-selling video game with the exact name Spindizzy. I know by now you can't argue with the Wikipedia machine. Thanks anyway. Equinox ◑ 06:47, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- I looked at this and was surprised to see a revert, as an extant video game vs a relatively obscure fictional device feels like a clear application of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC! So I started a move request. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 15:24, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

2023 Heilbronner Neckarcup moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, 2023 Heilbronner Neckarcup, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Yaroslav Demin
Hi, Yaroslav Demin just won 2023 French Open – Boys' doubles with Rodrigo Pacheco Méndez, can you pass its article/page from draft to real article/page, thanks in advance. 2A01:CB14:11BC:CF00:E8B7:2FED:83BB:A711 (talk) 10:16, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Hi. Can you come to one of the Wiki iRC or Discord Channels, please ?
Hi @Adamtt9: I wanna ask you a couple of tennis-related questions in private, regarding Wikipedia pages. Tell me which channel and when you could join for a few minutes. ROTennisFan (talk) ROTennisFan (talk) 18:07, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
- @ROTennisFan: In regards to your draft, the player doesn't meet the requirements set out by WP:NTENNIS. If she had participated in the main draw of a WTA event, she would have. I am not sure if she meets the more general notability guidelines WP:GNG as reviewing drafts isn't something I usually do. I would just wait until someone else reviews it to see if she meets WP:GNG. However, from a pure tennis sense, she doesn't meet project guidelines until that participation in a WTA Tour event is met. Adamtt9 (talk) 16:39, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- I know, but you and I also know that Main Draw Wild Cards many time aren't handed out based on merit. Szabó made her debut via WC. There's also another player, Ilinca Amariei, who has a page since she was below the first 1000 players in the singles WTA Rankings, with no notable results in the junior years, but received a main draw doubles WC back then (again, not based on merit) and thus she has a page for almost 2 years. Really?
- From an objective point of view, and not strictly from the WP:NTENNIS, it's pretty ironic, isn't it?
- Maybe these should be amended, given that the luck factor has an upper hand over results / notability, in some cases.
- P.S: In the WP:NTENNIS these also this: "Significant coverage is likely to exist... or can be shown to meet the wider requirements of WP:NBASIC." I put many articles in the draft, from different independent sources, and I can put more, though I'm a little afraid not to put too many.
- Could she meet the WP:NTENNIS requirements based on this, until a WTA Main Draw appearance will occur? ROTennisFan (talk) 17:55, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
Your case fix reverts
I don't understand this revert and others like it. This is not a case involving prize money, unless "Challenger 90" etc. represent prize money. Should I fix it to "Hard – Challenger 90 – ..." and such? Dicklyon (talk) 15:02, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Dicklyon: Yes, as I feel like that keeps it in line with the new formatting introduced into articles like 2022 ATP Tour and 2022 WTA Tour, etc. The Challenger categories do correspond with prize money. Adamtt9 (talk) 16:05, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- OK, I'll handle. I tried to figure out if those were prize money designators, but I didn't find it. Dicklyon (talk) 00:19, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
New Pages Patrol newsletter June 2023
Hello Adamtt9,
Backlog
Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it's only for a few or even one review a day.
Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension's code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.
Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick "Yet Another AFC Helper Script", then click "Save". To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick "Articles for Creation". To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the "More" menu, then click "Review (AFCH)". You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.
You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don't forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.
Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this "creative professionals" criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).

Obviously unfinished articles in Mainspace
Hi Adamtt9, I have draftified those articles as they were obviously in creation and I couldn't bother to fix each one of them. I saw that you added some info to some, but it's really questionable to have such articles in main space. At times there's no date, (January is too old and December 2023 likely too early). Then all those empty sections... or tables. Why do you want those articles to be in main space and not in draft where you could work on them in peace and without leaving the potential readers wondering what the article is about? Paradise Chronicle (talk) 18:31, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I have begun a discussion about your unfinished articles and autopatrolled rights at the talk page of the admin which gave you the rights. Your comments will be welcome.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 08:28, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure what you mean by unfinished. The 2023 President's Cup – Men's doubles article for example is as finished as it can be as that is the stage in the tournament they are in. Would you classify this article as unfinished since there are empty tables there also? Adamtt9 (talk) 13:24, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- Who would know it is as finished as it can be? There is no date, maybe it's in the past or in the future. And just adding the date doesn't help either, if you do not source it. A general reference from a dependent organization... as a secondary reference to fill gaps ok, but with your articles it's often the only source for the tournament. At the end your articles resemble quite much a mirror page. As for the FIFA world championship article, it has dates and is more informative in my opinion.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 15:57, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm unsure of what the problem is though. We have already had a discussion on if these pages are notable as I recall you or someone else sent a page to AFD and it got kept. I have yet to see anyone start an RfC on this topic. And if your proposal is to remove autopatrol, how exactly would that help? The articles all meet notable topics and become "complete", according to your definition, about a week after the tournament starts. They'd all get accepted anyway, making it more work for reviewers. That's why I got autopatrol in the first place. Adamtt9 (talk) 21:14, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- Articles on subjects that have no source independent to the subject as demanded in WP:SIGCOV are not ready for main space in my opinion. If seen getting draftified much better sourced articles. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 13:25, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- The articles you draftified had a source independent to the subject. You for some reason claim the only source is a PDF of the draw but the 10 or whatever articles you draftified had an independent source. 1, 2, 3, etc., all had independent sources before you draftified them, meeting WP:SIGCOV. Adamtt9 (talk) 13:37, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Those sources are no SIGCOV for the 2023 tournaments, as they don't mention the tournaments at all. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:14, 24 July 2023 (UTC)

Patrolling reminder
When patrolling the short sport articles with 1 source and no lead, or anything similar to that, consider draftifying them as they should not be patrolled. Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 07:01, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
- I agree with this and was going to drop the same note as well. Articles with zero references (or zero references and one external link) should probably be draftified rather than marked as reviewed. Here's a flowchart I made the other day that goes more in depth about draftify than some of the other flowcharts. Hope this helps. –Novem Linguae (talk) 07:04, 24 July 2023 (UTC)

New pages patrol newsletter
Hello Adamtt9,
Backlog update: At the time of this message, there are 11,300 articles and 15,600 redirects awaiting review. This is the highest backlog in a long time. Please help out by doing additional reviews!
October backlog elimination drive: A one-month backlog drive for October will start in one week! Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled. Articles will earn 4x as many points compared to redirects. You can sign up here.
PageTriage code upgrades: Upgrades to the PageTriage code, initiated by the NPP open letter in 2022 and actioned by the WMF Moderator Tools Team in 2023, are ongoing. More information can be found here. As part of this work, the Special:NewPagesFeed now has a new version in beta! The update leaves the NewPagesFeed appearance and function mostly identical to the old one, but updates the underlying code, making it easier to maintain and helping make sure the extension is not decommissioned due to maintenance issues in the future. You can try out the new Special:NewPagesFeed here - it will replace the current version soon.
Notability tip: Professors can meet WP:PROF #1 by having their academic papers be widely cited by their peers. When reviewing professor articles, it is a good idea to find their Google Scholar or Scopus profile and take a look at their h-index and number of citations. As a very rough rule of thumb, for most fields, articles on people with a h-index of twenty or more, a first-authored paper with more than a thousand citations, or multiple papers each with more than a hundred citations are likely to be kept at AfD.
Reviewing tip: If you would like like a second opinion on your reviews or simply want another new page reviewer by your side when patrolling, we recommend pair reviewing! This is where two reviewers use Discord voice chat and screen sharing to communicate with each other while reviewing the same article simultaneously. This is a great way to learn and transfer knowledge.
Reminders:
- You can access live chat with patrollers on the New Page Patrol Discord.
- Consider adding the project discussion page to your watchlist.

Undid revisions
Hi Adamtt9, I have noticed you undid my contributions here and here.
I was trying to use the same criteria to Latin names in Spanish and Portuguese. Could You please elaborate ? --MarcRic::Ruby (talk) 10:11, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Marcric: The player's entire last name, or family name, should be spelled out with only their first name or given name shorthanded. For example, the player Leyre Romero Gormaz has a given name of Leyre while the rest is her family name, so it should be spelled out in its entirety. Adamtt9 (talk) 12:14, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Ok Adamtt9, I have noticed You are from U.S. So, let me explain how Latin names works in practice: We, most of the time, receive four names: the first two by choice "Marco Antônio" or "Carlos Alberto" for instance. The next two came from mother and father family names in no specific order "Oliveira Souza" or "Pereira de Almeida" for instance. People with two names like "Emerson Fittipaldi" or three names like "Edson Arantes do Nascimento" are not so common. But my point there was just to use the same shortened pattern in Latin names. If You short "Leyre Romero Gormaz" as ""LR Gormaz" and "María Lourdes Carlé" as "ML Carlé", "Carolina Bohrer Martins" should be "CB Martins" and "Carolina Meligeni Alves" should be "CM Alves". I was just trying to apply the same pattern to our Latin "long" names in the shortened form. If You go this way, You will need to fix all other shortened names that were there before my "contribution". Regards. --MarcRic::Ruby (talk) 12:53, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- You would be incorrect and should check to make sure that these players have received one or two names when they signed up with the ITF. The only player in your list there with two received first names is ML Carle. Everyone else you just listed has two family names and only one given name, at least provided to the ITF. The article Sarah Behbehani has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
She exists but does not appear to meet WP:NTENNIS or WP:GNG.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Boleyn (talk) 17:25, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Adamtt9,
Please review WP:DRAFTIFY thoroughly. Of particular interest is the guidance that A page may only be moved unilaterally to the draftspace a single time.
An editor can object to draftifying and move the article back to main space without it being returned to Draft space. This article was moved to Draft space three times! Please check the page history before draftifying an article to make sure that it hasn't already been draftied before. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:02, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Liz: Yeah if I remember correctly I PROD the article before that second draftification but another editor removed the PROD and just moved the article back to draft space. But I'll remember that for next time. Adamtt9 (talk) 02:16, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
