To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Feedback on / reviewing Draft:Maria Sara Popa
[edit]{{Help me}}
Hi. It says "If you need feedback on your draft, or if the review is taking a lot of time, you can try asking for help on the talk page of a relevant WikiProject."
It's been 52 days since I created Draft:Maria Sara Popa and I would like to contribute more to Wikipedia, but I don't have any feedback if I'm on the right track or not. She doesn't quite yet meet the Wikipedia:NTENNIS requirements, which can be a little strict, but she could meet the Wikipedia:NBASIC ones. I didn't write too much about her personal life and other activities, because only big tennis players have that, as far as I saw.
She received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject., whilst having very good results in her area of expertise, for her age.
Could you please help me out or even review it? Thank you in advance.
- The {{help}} templates are intended for use on your own user talk page (you got that part right this time) and for getting help with "how to edit" questions. Asking for help with content is very nearly what every message on Wikipedia is about, so you can't use the templates to do that. Asking for something akin to a review is allowed on the talk page of a relevant WikiProject, but there are a lot of drafts on the review pile.
- If you feel like you've done all you can on a draft and are still waiting for a review, one thing you can do while waiting is make improvements to other existing articles (or drafts). These edits will generally be small improvements, but there are so many existing articles in need of improvement, you'll be helping the project at the same time as you learn more about editing. Don't know where to start? Try WP:Community Portal.
- If you have suitable sources that could fill in details about Popa's personal life or other activities, you could add them. Article content is based on what sources are available more than any sense of being a "big tennis player".
- Asking the same question at multiple WikiProjects simultaneously is perhaps going to get you some criticism for spamming. We all understand that you are impatient to get a review. The review system is so bogged down right now, that it is becoming a problem. Maybe they'll hold a review-a-thon soon to try to work off the backlog. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:55, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
