Significance

Alternative 1

I'm afraid that isn't an indication of its significance or importance. Wikipedia requires topics to be notable, which requires, at least eventually, citation of sources that support a finding that they are notable. Even from the start, an article needs to give some indication that its topic might be of encyclopedic significance, or else it's subject to immediate deletion.

Alternative 2

Hi. Please understand that Wikipedia is not about everything. For example, there won't be articles here about every company that makes computers. A credible claim of significance is required to avoid speedy deletion. This is, more or less, something that indicates why one might think that an encyclopedia would have an article about this. the subject. Even if it meets that standard, to avoid eventual deletion it needs to meet the stronger standard of notability. When you write that it's "a new company, so there is not that much issue", you're pretty much explaining why it won't qualify for an article now. That doesn't mean it never will, but we don't make predictions about future notability.

"This is from my website so I have rights to it"

OK, a few things:
  • This is English Wikipedia anyway so articles have to be in English.
  • Even if a copyright holder wants to give permission for copyrighted material to be here, permission needs to be given formally, including permission for everybody in the world to copy that content from here. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for details.
  • You have to accept that people are free to revise your content here just as they can revise every Wikipedia article.
  • Wikipedia isn't a web host. It isn't a public relations medium for posting material about yourself or your organization, like a Facebook or Instagram page or a LinkedIn profile. A Wikipedia article isn't a direct communication by an organization to readers of its mission or its vision for the future. In fact, writing about topics over which you have a conflict of interest is strongly discouraged overall.

Explaining deletion submission on account of lack of notability

Hello. Wikipedia articles have to be about topics that meet Wikipedia's notability guideline. You should read through the general notability guidelines and the guidelines specific to schools and see whether you can demonstrate that the school meets any of the notability criteria given in either of those places. If you can, present your findings at the deletion discussion, which is being held at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Christ Institute of Technology (CIT). The final decision (which won't be made by me) will be based on that discussion.

Archiving

At the very top:
{{User:MiszaBot/config
| algo=old(1827d)
| archive=Talk:Yoruba people/Archive %(counter)d
| counter=1
| maxarchivesize=75K
| archiveheader={{Automatic archive navigator}}
| minthreadsleft=5
| minthreadstoarchive=2
}}

Then either add a talk header like this, or add these parameters to an existing one (after nomination or skip-to-talk tags, if there are any):

{{Talk header|bot=lowercase sigmabot III|age=1827|units=days}}

or an archive tag under all other top-of-page tags:

{{Archives|bot=lowercase sigmabot III|age=1827}}

Welcome!

Hello, Largoplazo, and welcome to Wikipedia! While efforts to improve Wikipedia are always welcome,in my opinion, unfortunately, your contributions are not written in an English that is good enough to be useful. You appear to be more familiar with Urdu language; did you know there is a Urdu Wikipedia? You may prefer to contribute there instead. In any case, welcome to the project, and thank you for your efforts! If you need help, please feel free to notify me on my talk page. —Largo Plazo (talk) 00:56, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

Santiago Valiña Martinez is a chess player born 4 May 1999 in Castro Riberas de Lea, Lugo, Spain.

At the age of 10, Valiña began to stand out in local chess tournaments in his region,

Talk:Dentology Ah. Wikipedia is a tertiary source. Articles should consolidate information found largely in secondary reliable sources. It isn't a forum for "pulling back the curtain" on one's own findings, research, or experience, or for pulling together information collected from primary sources. Punctuation around reference tags

Any ideas about including auto-repair of WP:REFPUNCT violations? Largoplazo (talk) 00:35, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

I've tested with /\s*(((<ref[^/]*?>[^<]*?</ref>)\s*)+)\s*(([.,"'!?;:])+)/, replacing that with $4$1. And then replacing /\s+(<ref[\s>])/ with $1 to get rid of spaces in front of the refs. Probably neither completely robust nor 100% safe, but it's a start. Largoplazo (talk) 01:11, 24 December 2019 (UTC)

My Czech Republic boilerplate

A summary of the key points from the numerous previous discussion poionted out by GGS:
  • First, a question: How did "Czech Republic" become wrong? It is still the formal long-form name of the country! It hasn't been discarded. Sticking with "Czech Republic" isn't the same as titling the article about Sri Lanka "Ceylon".
  • The applicable Wikipedia guideline at WP:COMMONNAME indicates that the title should change when the replacement title is being used more frequently in current reliable sources written in English. Many people have provided reliable sources using "Czechia", but with no indication that those sources outnumber sources still using "Czech Republic".
  • Pointing to specific sources like Google Maps that adopted "Czechia" early and asking "Why don't we follow their approach?" doesn't help because (a) this talk page isn't the place to debate Wikipedia's general approach to article naming, and (b) there's no reason why Wikipedia's approach should copy another publisher's approach that they adopted for their purposes rather than having its own approach for its own purposes.
  • Anybody who wants to formally request a move may do so but it will lead to no change unless it's demonstrated that "Czechia" has overtaken "Czech Republic" in recent reliable sources written in English. Until then, it isn't worth the trouble. Anyone who submits such a request is best advised to do their homework first and not bother unless they're able to kick off the discussion with a solid case to support the change.

This draft article was already deleted as G4 following Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/El Polimata. The same author also just created Draft:El Polimata (artist), and Draft:El Polímata already exists. These drafts were preceded by ''numerous'' articles in main article space, one after another with various disambiguations added after previous titles had been deleted multiple times and salted. Every version relies primarily on three PR pieces, mostly in Spanish though sometimes in English, with anywhere from two to four or five sources ''carrying the same content'' being referenced in the same incarnation of the article. These are supplemented by the musician's presences on various websites and a battery of music download sites. Basically, this person isn't taking "No" for an answer, and it's fair to assume, all evidence considered, that this Jvatinord, is the latest sockpuppet of the artist himself, operating originally as User:Elmenormcrd and User:El Menor Mc, the case history being located at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/El Menor Mc.
