GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
- It is reasonably well written.
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a. (reference section):
- While it's not a GA criteria, I strongly recommended archiving your sources. It may save you a lot of time in the long run.
- b. (citations to reliable sources):
- I moved one inline citation to specify what it backed up.
- c. (OR):
- d. (copyvio and plagiarism):
- a. (reference section):
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a. (major aspects):
- "Shinji Mikami is credited with creating Mr. X, also known as T-00, who was an improved version of the first game's T-002." - You need to better explain what a Tyrant is. Imagine an audience that has never played a Resident Evil game, and how unhelpful this sentence would be to them. I'd also wikilink to the 'first game' when you mention it.
- Fixed - Added context.
- "much like Nemesis and the Baker family" - I'd specify where Nemesis and the baker Family stalk people - add a respective game to the prose.
- Fixed - Added the games.
- "He was modified, given a fedora hat" - If the hat is the only modification reword this to just say he was given a hat. If there were other modifications, you need to specify what they are. You also don't need to mention he is given a hat more than once. Currently this information is repeated at the beginning of the 'Appearances' section.
- Fixed - Deleted the sentence.
- "unable to be unharmed." - is this supposed to say 'unable to be HARMED'? If not it needs a lot more explanation.
- Fixed - See above.
- "Level designer Nicholas Chabot" - this is a problem. Firstly, it implies he was a level designer on the game. Secondly, why is this person important enough to name? I'd say something like 'To determine how Mr X. tracks the characters in-game, an independent level-designer used a no-clip ..."
- Fixed - Made some fixes.
- "T-virus outbreak" - a brief explanation of what this virus is would be helpful; I'd do the same for the G-Virus.
- Fixed - Explained what both of them are.
- "by a van impact" - what does this mean? If he was hit by a moving van I think it would be best to just say so.
- Fixed - Made the change
- Comment: I'm undecided if you should introduce Ada wong of William Birkin to the reader in some way. I.e 'explosives detonated by series anti-heroine Ada Wong'
- Fixed - Added explanations of who they are. I'd call Ada an antivillain given she usually works for the bad guys.
- "In Leon's scenario, Mr. X regenerates again" - does this mean there's another scenario where he doesn't regenerate? What's that scenario called and what happens to Mr X. in that?
- Fixed
- "Jordan Boyd of DualShockers hailed Mr. X as one of the best developments in the survival horror genre in recent years" - when did he hail him in this way? 'Recent years' is pretty ambiguous since the game was released in 1998 and 2019.
- Fixed
- The only major issue I'm seeing here in terms of coverage is that there's no coverage how the character was received at the time of the game's release in 1998, only of the remake. Why can't you get some coverage of the character's reception in 1998? Granted those sources are more time consuming to find, but they are by no means impossible. Once you have a section on how the character was initially received, at least a sentence commenting on how reception changed (or if it remained constant) between the initial release and the remake would be warranted.
- Not fixed Going through the reviews from that time, it's insanely hard to find any mention of him. He got far more attention in the remake due to his increased prominence and smarter behavior. I don't think it's particularly required for the article, but I'll keep checking.
- As an update, the only thing I could find about Mr. X from that time is from a literal game guide with no opinions. It's safe to say that, at the time, he was basically just a background enemy.
- Thanks for the explanation; that makes sense. Damien Linnane (talk) 12:13, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

- a. (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales):
- Would it be possible to get a screenshot of Mr X from gameplay? You'll have to forgive me if that goes against image licensing rules, I don't recall.
- Not fixed - I would assume it goes against fair use since the character is already fully shown. Obviously I'm not 100% sure of this though. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 07:16, 10 April 2023 (UTC)

Overall: @Bruxton: Good article. To be honest, the first hook is not interesting but i'm fine with ZXCVBNM's hook. Onegreatjoke (talk) 17:29, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks @Onegreatjoke: Bruxton (talk) 18:23, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
- IMO the first hook also fails the requirement that "If the subject is a work of fiction or a fictional character, the hook must involve the real world in some way." ALT1 looks fine to me too though. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 21:02, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

Unofficial name
[edit]"Mr. X" is not the tyrant's official name. That is indeed a fan name. His official name is in fact "T-00" and, as a result, this page should be moved to T-00. R1ch4rd N1x0n (talk) 14:31, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
