Kratos (God of War)

[edit]
Hi Boneless Pizza!, I've now finished my copy-edit. I've rearranged a fair chunk of material; in "Other appearances", I created a new subsection "Film and television" and moved appropriate material there, including the former subsection "Live-action adaptation". I retitled the rump subsec "Guest appearances" to "Video games outside the God of War franchise" (more specific). I also retitled "Novelizations" to "Novels" as it's simpler for readers. I was tempted to move the material about the comic-book series but decided it might be an important phase of narrative development, but you could move it there if it seems appropriate. You can find my rationales in my edit summaries. I hope that's useful; good luck with the article. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 04:31, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Would have been nice to have gotten a notification about this as well ... JDC808 12:52, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the thing is that I was the only one who requested GOCE + the article clearly has a lot of problem after seeing the edits of the copyeditor. The article feels like it has been forgotten already by the author if I'm being honest. 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 12:55, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The original creator of the article who originally brought it to GA status, yes, they have. Not even sure if they still edit Wikipedia anymore. As for myself, I've been caught up with other things as of late, but would still be considered the primary editor for the God of War articles in general. While I don't disagree that the article needed some cleanup and more care, and while a GOCE request was fine, there are some things that the copy-editor did that I do disagree with that either disrupted the structure in an odd way or don't flow well from a brief observation (I haven't dived in to see every change they've made yet). Had I known about the GOCE request, I could have caught some of that sooner and we could have worked on a compromise.
There was nothing wrong with making the GOCE request, but it's good faith to notify the editor(s) who would otherwise be considered the primary editor(s), even if it seems as if they have "forgotten" about the article. It at least allows them to know that the article is going to have a lot of changes and lets them track it on whether or not they agree with those changes. JDC808 01:04, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Panini! Many thanks! I wanted to point out sometimes that your joke/humor can make other editors happy (I saw your cat images, and it was hilarious). I'm very glad that you're still editing. Have a great day! 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 12:40, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Featured Article Medal
By the authority vested in me by myself it gives me great pleasure to present you with this special, very exclusive award created just for we few, we happy few, this band of brothers, who have shed sweat, tears and probably blood, in order to be able to proudly claim "I too have taken an article to Featured status". Gog the Mild (talk) 12:37, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Can my conom possibility also receive this @Gog the Mild? 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 01:10, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. For some reason JokEobard did not show up at either Wikipedia:Featured articles promoted in 2024 or Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by featured article nominations. (They do now.) Gog the Mild (talk) 13:39, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Thanks again 🍕BP!🍕 (🔔) 13:47, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Boneless Pizza! and @Gog the Mild! JokEobard (talk) 15:23, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
