Okay, I'll take this. Expect a response in a day or two. --ProtoDrake (talk) 16:37, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
I can hardly believe this myself, but I count this as an Instant Pass, with no real need for a table. Amazing work.
DMY dates?
[edit]Given that, through its BAFTA win, that Ustwo is a UK-HQ'd company, I'd suggest we change the dates over on this from MDY to DMY, since we usually go with the developer's nationality to set things like this. Any objections to this? --MASEM (t) 19:38, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think the developer's nationality is enough to constitute strong national ties to a subject. I think MOS:RETAIN applies here. czar ⨹ 20:31, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- The game's official blog also uses
DMYdates, for what it's worth. -- Calidum 20:35, 15 March 2015 (UTC)- (The developer is British, so that follows.) czar ⨹ 21:16, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Meant MDY. Sorry about the confusion. -- Calidum 22:44, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, given that, I guess MDY is fine here. They do have a NY secondary office, so that might be where this is coming from. --MASEM (t) 22:46, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

confusing wording
[edit]In the section about 'monument valley' appearing in 'house of cards', it says the creators made a "specialized version of the game". Does that mean it was made better visible to a tv audience or that there were different levels than in the game itself? I read the sources and found nothing about "a specialized version". did I just not look well enough? Regardless the wording should be made less confusing. Quiet Wanderer (talk) 14:19, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
- the sources are unclear to what this means. My gut feeling is that it basically added "god mode" type features that would have allowed them to quickly reset the game to a certain state for refilming a scene, or to make sure that the game behaved in a specific manner regardless of what Spacey did on camera. Key is that they did tweak the game for the show, but what tweaks we just don't know. --MASEM (t) 14:30, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
Sacred geometry
[edit]In the article Monument Valley (video game) i have a small question that i want to ask you, thanks. Are there more information about the "sacred geometry" which seems important to the game?thanks again.--Suebear Gaua (talk) 13:21, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- @苏你妹~, the sources don't go into any greater depth, from my recollection. It's more of a subordinate plot point than anything the game seriously explores. czar 13:37, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
OK,i may be i think more about. And in fact the plot of this game is not clear.thanks--Suebear Gaua (talk) 14:06, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
two expansions
[edit]The article says the vinyl LP "will include the music from the main game and its two expansions". I know of the Forgotten Shores expansion but can't think of a second expansion. Is there a second expansion that I missed or is there really only one expansion? Thanks. Stepho talk 02:34, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
- Melodyschamble (talk · contribs) added "Ida's dream" to the article, which answered my question. Thanks. Stepho talk 04:45, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
Announcement of MV3 at Gamescon Live 2024
[edit]Should the ending paragraph discussing the upcoming third game be rewritten to reflect that a firm launch date as well as a partnership with netflix games has been announced? 69.131.22.160 (talk) 18:43, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Can you provide the reference? Announcements of future games is a risky thing for WP because the companies so often change the timing, change the details and sometimes cancel it entirely. Generally, we would need a solid reference from a reliable source that says it is to be release in a month or 2. And definitely not magazine speculation. Anything longer is still just a wish with risk of cancellation. The current mention in the article from 2022 should never have been put in there. See WP:CRYSTALBALL. - I'm not able to sit down and edit right now, but there are plenty of references for this information in the Monument Valley 3 article if anyone would like to add them! —TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 23:58, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
