A Seperate Page?
[edit]I don't think that there is a need to split the song list into a second page on the grounds that I think one of the primary reasons people look at the Karaoke Revolution article is for the complete song lists. Infact, the only reason why I am commenting on this is because I was looking for the song list of the series and I ended up seeing it here. Perhaps one could consider moving it back to the main Karaoke Revolution page if others agree.
- It's not as though the information is gone, it's just been moved. As it was, the article was completely eclipsed by the song lists, which is not where the focus should be. Also, read WP:Embedded list: such long lists of links are to be moved to their own articles.--SeizureDog 05:49, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Karaoke Revolution [1]
[edit]I noticed that many songs (15?) have been added to the listing for the original game. Is this information indeed accurate? Modor 09:46, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Modor
- I'm guessing the changes in question involved the enhanced Xbox re-release of KR1, which is now its own separate section within the page. (The guess is based on the fact that the re-release has 14 more songs than the original, close to the above editor's estimate.) The info for the PS2 version of KR1 lists 36 songs, which is indeed accurate.70.225.141.83 (talk) 21:45, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Any idea if they are still available on the PS3 version? Best, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 03:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- I finally got a chance to check that version of the game, and they're still on the PS3 version. I just updated that part but forgot to log in first. I'll probably work them back into the full list with an (only on PlayStation 3) note, but I feel like the fact that they were on Marketplace and then removed is different from having never been there at all. Maybe denoting them with asterisks or italics? AquaHaute (talk) 22:07, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply and efforts; good ideas! Best, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 17:22, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Compatibility for American Idol Encore songs in American Idol Encore 2
[edit]So I don't know if I can add this into the article of not. I am an administrator at KaraokeRevolution.Net and I have received word that the songs released as DLC for American Idol Encore will also be compatible with American Idol Encore 2. I have posted this on our site but I have not seen any mention of it anywhere else. Is it OK to include this information since it was received from a person who works at Konami? ZephyronALPHA (talk) 03:42, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think you could add that information, but you need to be sure to at least link to your site until an additional reference can be added. Although your site is technically a fan site, I have found it to be quite reliable concerning this particular topic. By the way, do you have any ideas if they are going to add any new downloadable songs for Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore for the Playstation 3? The back of the box claims "hundreds of downloadable songs", but I believe there are only 142 on the Playstation Store. I would really like to see "Total Eclipse of the Heart," "Smooth Criminal," "White Flag," "It's Not Unsusual," "Breakaway," and "Killing Me Softly Added"! --Happy editing! Cleanup Needed: Badly
[edit]Stumbled into this while reading about Rock Revolution. And I have to admit that this is a rather chaotic and cluttered page. If you look at the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series of articles, you'll see the advantages of having each game's setlist/soundtrack in a seperate article. I'm going to try and start that here...because right now that ToC and subsequent layout is very messy. -- TRTX T / C 15:58, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I agree per Talk:List_of_downloadable_songs_for_the_Rock_Band_series#Unifying_format.2Fpresentation_of_video_game_song_articles and Talk:List_of_downloadable_songs_for_the_SingStar_series#Unifying_format.2Fpresentation_of_video_game_song_articles. --A NobodyMy talk 01:37, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Do you have any sources confirming that this song won't be on the PS3 version as well? Or will just be released at a later time? Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 21:34, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
"Heartbreaker" DLC?
[edit]This text was recently added by an IP: "Recently, the "Heartbreaker" song for the PlayStation 3 version has experienced some technical problems where it would be corrupted the previous 148 downloadable songs from the previous Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore were present in the HDD. The player must delete all 148 songs from the previous series to be able to select the song "Heartbreaker"." I have noticed someone who seems to be on various discussion forums starting/repeating this information, but this individual has also been proven to have posted false or misinformation on these various sites as well. See AschTheHated's posts here, CrossWard 's posts here, as well as 2 Impossible's posts here. Now, the claims this individual made about there being no downloadable content was obviously proven to be bogus. So, does anyone have any source regarding "Heartbreaker" or is that also inaccurate information be spread on those forums and now here as well? Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 21:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- I notice that "Heartbreaker," "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing," and "Stand By Me" have all been removed from the PlayStation Store. I also notice the on my PlayStation 3, "Stand By Me" does indeed show up as corrupt in both Karaoke Revolution (2009) and Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2. So, I emailed Konami and they replied that "At this time we are uncertain what triggers the corruption, which is why we removed the problematic songs, and unfortunately will not be able to re-release them." What a shame. :( Anyway, you can verify as much by contacting Konami and so the article should be updated accordingly. Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 00:36, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Downloadable songs
[edit]An IP made some claims in the article that DLC has stopped for Karaoke Revolution Presents American Idol Encore 2. Is there a source anywhere verifiying this claim? I emailed Konami, and they said, "Thank you for contacting Konami Support. We are glad to hear that you enjoy this series, however, we do not have any information on the release of more DLC for this title. Please keep an eye on our site and the PLAYSTATION Network for release dates and game info." Okay... Sincerely, --A NobodyMy talk 23:44, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
The Bemani link is NOT fake
[edit]16 songs have been revealed through it. And there's a youtube video to prove those songs are in the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIc7p3iou3E —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.11.37.2 (talk) 23:58, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
On-disc song list; which song in the footnote
[edit]In the sub-section On-disc song list of Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore 2 (on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii) I have placed a [which?] comment in the footnote there because it's not clear which song is being referred to and the link given doesn't seem to help.
