May I ask why are there two 'References' tabs?Axe995 04:22, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs updating from GDC '08.Einstein the afrodude (talk) 01:38, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Might I point out that the Adam West Batman series was not "the original Batman TV series"? (There was at least a black and white version before this) And that Robin's costume is not faithful to said TV series. (Funny enough to state: the fact that Batman has six-pack abs makes this a great deviation from the Adam West version.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.61.143 (talk) 16:53, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

XBox live or Playstation network

[edit]

Does the game support multiplayer mode for xbox live or playstation network like lego star wars did or is it like lego indiana jones and not support network multiplayer mode? That is the feature that I liked most in lego star wars but hated most in lego indiana jones. I even stopped playing lego indiana jones because it did not have that favorable feature. Weapons and features

[edit]

Um, well were is the following above sections confirmed? Anonymous person 50 (talk) 11:10, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Overview Section

[edit]

Although informative, this section is currently extremely redudant and cluttered. Additionally the features should probably be grouped by function (IE gameplay, characters, locations, etc.) rather than by the order they were revealed (chronologically). It's might be a bit of work, but if no one else is up to it I'll get around to it eventually. Confirmed playable characters

[edit]

I don't think we should add characters whose only proof of existence in the game are trailers and screenshots. Things get changed from trailers, and screenshots could be from an earlier build of the game. The way it is now is borderline Original Research--  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 02:35, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What in gods name are you talking about?--EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 21:02, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What I'm talking about is that if somebody doesn't put cites and/or references on those playable characters, I'm gonna look for a few myself and delete the rest. --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 00:36, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What you're saying makes no sense. Everyone on the list is confirmed. The only exception being the constant edit war over batgirl, who appears in the background of a screenshot, but it does not say for sure if its her. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 23:29, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If it's confirmed, there should be no reason it isn't cited. --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 07:48, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done That'll have to do until IGN or someone comes out with a list of all confirmed characters and we can cut down the cites to only one or a few. Took out batgirl, couldn't find anything on her.--  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 08:26, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't want to add this to the article, as I'm not sure this counts as being confirmed, but the character in the background looks like Batgirl. There's not really anyone else it could be, and it certainly isn't Batman. http://www.1up.com/do/slideshow?pager.offset=5&mt=0&cId=3158257&mId=3584741WinterSnowblind (talk) 13:09, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

wait a second, if you want to make an list of playable characters what about batmans and robins suits? and i also read that nightwing has the opportunity to wear robins suits and you can play as everyone including all the suits in free play mode. so are you not going the write that in the list of playable characters? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hilfling (talkcontribs) 04:36, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite

[edit]

I spent a lot of time deleting unsourced material, citing sources, and rewriting the article... but it got reverted because of too much unconfirmed information. I reverted it back because... well that doesn't make sense. I got rid of unsourced material, I added MORE sources. I put it in a format that makes sense. The previous version had half as many sources and was very redundant, it makes no sense to revert back. --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 06:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So far it has been confirmed at 1up.com that Batgirl will be included in the final game. --RedeemedSeven (talk) 19:51, 9 September 2008 (UTC)RedeemedOne[reply]

Hubs

[edit]

I would just like to say I'm not the one adding Arkham Asylum. But I read in an interview that thats the hub for the villains. Thanks User 50 (talk) 11:55, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought I read that as well, but cannot find the link, but whoever removed it was right to do so.--  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 00:36, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done I found it, added to the article and sourced it. --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 04:31, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cover art/picture

[edit]

We need to get a bigger version of the cover art so it isn't so small. I am looking for one but if someone else finds a bigger version please put it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Icealien33 (talkcontribs) 19:30, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the one that's up now is an alright size, we don't need large one. A bit bigger would be better, just to fill the infobox. --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 20:31, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Characters

[edit]

I removed the character section as it violates WP:NOT (wikipedia is not an indiscriminate list of information) and perhaps WP:GAMETRIVIA item 6. Putting it back in the form of a paragraph is ok, as a list is not. Thanks! Fin© 10:02, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lists are sometimes okay, it adds to the article and isn't overly long so I say leave it in. Wikipedia:CLN#Advantages_of_lists --  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 00:58, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All but one (as far as I can see) of the points on the article you linked to was concerning lists as articles ("List of" articles). Like I said before, noting the key characters in the prose is fine. Having a list of them just serves to clutter the article - does the average user really care if Nightwing is in it, or does "Batman, Robin and other heroes" suffice? I'm pretty sure it's the latter. Also, note that the rest of the lego games (Lego Star Wars 1, 2, Saga, Lego Indiana Jones) do not feature lists, even though characters (especially in the case of Star Wars) may be considered equally notable to those in Batman. Fin© 01:24, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think listing the characters like the way the characters on the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe page are listed is ok so that is what i did. People might want to come to see if thier favorite villain is in the game or something. The other lego games could have added the list of characters.Icealien33 (talk) 01:34, 6 August 2008 (UTC)icealien33[reply]

I'm not a fan of the way that looks, what about something like:

--  Darth Mike  (Talk Contribs) 02:23, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the list of characters should be in boxes like the way they are now but maybe put into seperate ones so the hero list isn't stretched like it is. Icealien33 (talk) 20:17, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Video_games#Lego_Batman_List_of_Character for more discussion on the matter. RobJ1981 (talk) 01:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it again, per discussion at the link above. Bring it up there if you want to restore. Thanks! Fin© 08:40, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Meals

[edit]

McDonald's is doing a promotion for LEGO Batman: The Video Game in their Happy Meal toys. The toy line starts Sept. 12th. Not sure if this tidbit is worth mentioning in the article. The toys aren't actual Legos, but have a Lego-esque appearance. 68.82.81.255 (talk) 06:54, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters

[edit]

I think that we can put the characters if have the characters pictures instead of listing them. I can make like a cluster of the heroes and then a cluster pic for the villains. Ice (talk) 23:29, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, the article shouldn't be cluttered with pictures just to show the characters. The other Lego video game articles look just fine with no character lists, this is no exception. A prose describing some characters, such as Lego_Star_Wars:_The_Video_Game#Characters should be used. Also remember: Wikipedia isn't a guide to listing every character in video games. If people want a detailed character guide, they can use a video game website. RobJ1981 (talk) 04:07, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That idea works to if someone wants to do it. Ice (talk) 02:33, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever is decided upon, please fix this section. It looks like crap. 71.169.122.99 (talk) 04:40, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DS version

[edit]

Maybe this section should be added here as with the other Lego game articles, because I think there are differences. --Addict 2006 13:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree 100% but i dont own the DS version so I can't do it. --EveryDayJoe45 (talk) 20:54, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Guess I'll reiterate some stuff from the other Lego game articles. --Addict 2006 22:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glitched

[edit]

The PC version of this game is badly glitched. To the point where you can't finish the second story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.16.134.113 (talk) 08:52, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I can't finish Batboat Battle because of crashes to the desktop. Moreover, the framerates on all the vehicle missions are horrible. This game (PC Version) is in desperate need of a patch. --FordGT90Concept (talk) 03:39, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk pages are not a forum. Thanks User 50 (talk) 14:24, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's right. And by the way, I got through the game 100% complete on PC, so it's not so badly glitched after all. Luizalves (talk) 04:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted levels

[edit]

I just now noticed this: In Hero mode there are three levels that you can't play as the villains in.Those are: Two-Face Chase,Joker's Home Turf, and Zoo's Company. Also there are some villain levels that you do not play as the heros in.These are:Rockin' the docks,The Joker's Masterpiece, and An Enterpising Theft. However Two-Face Chase,Rockin' the docks and Joker's Home Turf are avalible on DS for Both heros and villains, but the killer Moth villain and hero levels are removed due to this along with the first villains side Two-face and riddler level.Anybody else notice this?I think they deleted those levels by accident. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.215.11.160 (talk) 23:21, 22 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Achievement Glitch

[edit]

Is it worth pointing out anywhere that one of the Achievements for the Xbox version of the game appears to be impossible to get? "'Down the rabbit hole': Use Mad Hatter's mind control to walk 5 enemies to their deaths." I say it appears to be impossible to get because there's no explanation as to how to actually control the random goons that swarm towards you and the ones you have to mind control to proceed are all in little boxes that you can't kill them in. Has anyone commented on a reliable source about this potentially bugged achievement or am I missing something so obvious it hasn't occurred to me? --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 11:09, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How to get it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=943952&topic=50056047 - Rolen47 (talk) 00:17, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I was missing something obvious. Never mind then. Thanks. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 00:45, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshot

[edit]

Im planning to attempt to get this article up to at least C-Class ovr the next few days/weeks. If anybody could get a screenshot of the gameplay, or even one for the console and DS versions, this would be much appreciated. Actually, any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks (that is, if you do it. I'm not going to say thanks for nothing), Lord Spongefrog, (I am the Czar of all Russias!) 18:04, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lego Batman: The Mobile Phone Game

[edit]

Is it worth mentioning the mobile phone version of the game somewhere on here? jayunderscorezero (talk) 10:49, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this game rated B in Japan?

[edit]

I want to know why this game rated B in Japan and not A? —Preceding unsigned comment added by CorocoroPokemon (talkcontribs) 20:27, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

'Similar to the Lego Star Wars series'

[edit]

'-The game is similar to the Lego Star Wars series and Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, in that it is both a game based on a licensed property, and has environments, objects, and creatures made out of Lego.-' This makes it sound like a bootleg or something. It should be more like 'The game is part of the lego video game series developed by Traveller's Tales —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.144.135.89 (talk) 21:32, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
