Sources aren't looking great here: Nintendo Blast and Game Rant have no hallmarks of reliability, and anything primarily sourced to top ten listicles doesn't bode well for an encyclopedia... I am no longer watching this pageping if you'd like a response czar 03:03, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I removed the Game Rant source, because, though I have a very good track record with it, its staff is basically new to the video game industry. I'll do some research on Nintendo Blast when I get time for it, but I have a similarly good track record with it. It's a bit difficult to research the reliability of sources when you need Google Translate to understand them ^_^; I definitely believe the article stands well on its own, however. The three sources discussing Lavender Town Syndrome are great pieces, the Bloody Disgusting top 10 gives some great insight in the music of the town, and if Nintendo Blast is considered reliable, we generally have a lot of good stuff that wouldn't fit anywhere else without running into undeu weight issues. I'll be sure to look for more sources, though. ~Mable (chat) 04:38, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, Bloody Disgusting isn't reliable either (old thread)—the article is marked "editorial" and written by someone who has published no other articles, and there is no about page to describe anything about the site's editorial process. I'd look into expanding this topic summary style within Pokémon#Fan_community, as this article is more about the fan community's relation to Lavender Town than the actual fictional town. If you'd like to make an article out of it, that whole Fan community section surely has the source material to be beefed up and expanded into its own overview article (Pokémon fandom). The last time it was mentioned wasn’t let’s go evee

[edit]

In 2017 and 2019 Pokemon Go played it for the hollowed events but it was a little remix. So i don’t know it would be or wouldn’t count as the last time. 2600:1006:B055:5025:5C11:2609:21C2:8B36 (talk) 12:43, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

General

  1. Make "Ghost-Type" vs. "Ghost-type" consisent

Infobox

  1. "Home of Spirits" is unverified and otherwise unmentioned

In the games

  1. To my best recollection you can catch Cubone in some versions in Lavender? If so, you should mention that.
  2. First sentence reads a little awkwardly with the two ands
  3. I think it might be a good idea to attach more citations to verify that Lavender deviates from RBY's tone, one source feels insufficient, especially TheGamer (not a bad source ofc, but it's not quite as strong to hold up the claim)
  4. I'd suggest moving up the concept of being the first encounter with Pokémon death up near the discussion of the graveyard
  5. Should rename the section since it goes beyond the games

Music

  1. Was it also remixed for Pokémon Go Halloween events? If so, could just turn that into one sentence to say that it was remixed for LGPE and PG.
  2. Section starts with 'It' three times in a row

Lavender Town Syndrome Creepypastas

  1. Should all the words in the header be capitalized?
  2. "the corruption of this childhood aspect is used in order to convey an element of horror in the story. " This should clarify that it's coming from the author, as it feels as though the article is supporting an angle.
  3. "The various creepypastas' attempt to rationalize" This sentence reads a little awkwardly, to use "cited" implies that what they are citing is an accepted truth of the location.

Reception

  1. I question whether the commentary by critics on Lavender Town Syndrome and the music should be apart from the Reception section

Images

  1. Screenshot should have the source be the page it's on instead of just the image itself to show how it's used on that page
  2. Should replace the n.a.s

Spotcheck

  1. Should cite it being a village in the initial sentence using the Guardian citation

@Cukie Gherkin: fixed the above. Could you clarify the bit on Reception? I'm admittedly not sure what you want me to do. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 21:21, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What I mean is that I feel it would be more cohesive if the commentary in these sections by critics was all together - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 13:49, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Cukie Gherkin How would you want that accomplished? I'm still uncertain as to how exactly you want me to try and do this. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 21:21, 26 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Be sure to mark which pages are being cited
  2. "Death, Culture & Leisure: Playing Dead" is cited twice as separate citations
  3. Be sure to double check citations to ensure that the author name isn't malformed (for instance, "GamesRadarCarolynGudmondson")
  1. [1] - Looks good
  2. [2] - Looks good
  3. [3] - Looks good
  4. [4] - Looks good
