Article changed to past tense
[edit]Now that Dream has confirmed that the SMP is basically over (as stated by Puffy on her website, Dream himself said this), I decided to be bold and change the article to past tense. Initially I was reluctant as it depends if we view it as more of a series or a "server that still exists regardless", but I think anyone holding out hopes that the server will be revived or revisited probably needs to be honest with themselves that most of the streamers who were on it have grown up, moved on to other things and are pursuing their own independent projects. Many times throughout the few years it existed, the streamers who were involved with it pointed out how difficult it was to organise everybody into streaming together at one time. Since basically half of them confirmed they would "not be back for season 2" or were not interested in the apparent storyline approach, I don't think this motivated the others who were still involved at the time of its finale to want to do it again. I don't think Dream needs to say "it's 100% over and never happening again" for us to read between the lines that "there probably will be no season 2" is as a good a confirmation of its end as we're going to get. - @Ss112 I'm sure season 2 will come. They didn't confirm it did they? I hope they come back for season 2 because I never understood the season 1 and finally I'll have some pieces of lore i do know. If you do mind can you please help with the season 1. A book or something. Thank you for reading this. Bye 151.71.188.250 (talk) 07:45, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- @151.71.188.250 Nope it's gone. Really sad 151.68.251.85 (talk) 14:10, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
Add date ended to infobox
[edit]This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
In the infobox: Change "Initial release: April 26, 2020; 2 years ago" to "Initial release April 26, 2020 - April 10, 2023" Source 4 on the wiki is already stated and provides proof of this Cryptizism (talk) 16:25, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
- Not done: per the template's guidelines: the release date stays the same even it it's been discontinued. M.Bitton (talk) 17:56, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
Split L'Manberg redirect into a separate article?
[edit]L'Manberg currently redirects to this article. Given the massive media and cultural influence of L'Manberg beyond the limits of the Dream SMP, it may be reasonable to split L'Manberg into a separate article. AmericanBaath (talk) 00:51, 8 October 2023 (UTC)
- @AmericanBaath: I'm not sure about its viability as a separate topic considering it doesn't exist outside of a now-defunct server, but if an editor wants to try to develop a separate article if it has enough media coverage, then all power to them. Ss112 09:11, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
cast
[edit]where is technoblade in the cast 116.68.86.209 (talk) 15:51, 12 December 2023 (UTC)
- He is under "former members" as he died before the server went defunct. Ss112 00:00, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
Can We Please Make a Hermitcraft Page
[edit]Not related specifically to Dream SMP, but I feel we need to refine and also create an HC(Hermitcraft) page as well. I mean, the amount of viewers for Hermitcraft is pretty significant, so I feel it deserves its own page, especially considering Grian has more subscribers than most Youtubers with their own pages on Wikipedia. MesterUwUKNGT(or MesterK is fine, thanks) (talk) 15:33, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

Sitelink to German Wikipedia
[edit]I would rather NOT have to article linked to the a link to redirect (THAT I CREATED) on German Wikipedia and in fact would rather have that page on German Wikipedia actually kept (but not apparently deleted because I realized how controversial you guys would considered that to be, seesh) but not linked to this article, because I said so. I would also like for the Germany category page I also created "Kategorie:Minecraft-Server" to be deleted and also split into "Kategorie:Minecraft" and "Kategorie:Server." Mostly because the category is very small, on a specific subject, and only contained 5 articles, (Mineplex, Hypixel, Uncen. Library, Build the Earth, and one article that is only available in German) one of which "Build the Earth" isn't actually an individual server. QuantumFoam66 (talk) 00:14, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
