Regarding characters that appear in the movie but are not playable on PSP

[edit]

I have Cars on PSP, Recently I was able to get Luigi on PSP; He's a playable character. I don't know really what I did to get him, but the only thing I did was playing in "Mirror Cup" Grand Prix in Multiplayer and won the first race.

The GameFAQs code page for this version lists more paint options for Luigi, so it seems he's supposed to be in there. IL-Kuma 04:40, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wii Cover?

[edit]

What was the point of replacing the PS2 cover with the Wii cover? Is there a policy that says it has to be the most recent cover version? RMS Oceanic 11:46, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like somebody felt that that image had better copyright information. FrozenPurpleCube 15:02, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lightning McQueen's paint job

[edit]

The article cites that there's no reason for McQueen to still have his normal racing colours. This is just speculation, but it could be explained as a contractual issue; the Rust-Eze guys could've had something that said he had to stay that way. Or maybe the 'new' style is an off-season look; repainting himself before and after each race may be too much time and effort. Piston Cup may also have regulations about markings on a race car (NASCAR does), and his off-season markings may not meet those requirements. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by IL-Kuma (talkcontribs) 04:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Nonsense. His new look still carries his numbers and sponsors, so he can race legally with the new look.

Music

[edit]

I think a section on this game's soundtrack should be added. What do you think? -dogman15 04:20, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DS Version

[edit]

There is no information about the DS version, as I believe it is completely different than any of the other versions, including the PSP. It's all mini games based on using the 2 screen setup and the stylus. No racing. It's really boring, by the way.

Image

[edit]

I have a new version lax watermarks. But I don't know what the copyright info is. Now I'm horribly incompetent with image copyrights so it could be that I'm just missing it but I don't want to upload an image that we aren't supposed to doctor. Can someone help me out?--St.daniel Talk 22:22, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rustbucket Racers

[edit]

Two racers are named Cletus and Judd. Do you think this could be a reference to singer Cletus T. Judd? Fishhead, 14:47, 07 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PlayStation 3?

[edit]

Just checking, but did Cars really come out for the PS3? Because I Googled, and I can't find anything anywhere else about it. Yellow Mage (talk) 18:28, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, it didnt. Only next gen console that got it was the 360. 2001:1C02:2C2E:1800:B084:CC48:9DBE:54F8 (talk) 07:58, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reception??

[edit]

Reception isn't in comprehensible English lol... could someone with a better knowledge of older games have a look over this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Philo-sofa (talkcontribs) 12:57, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Radiator Springs Travellers

[edit]

There are seven different types of cars that serve as the background travellers for Radiator Springs in the video game. There's the Station Wagons which are all female, the Hatchbacks (I think they're the hatchbacks) which are all female, the 70's Sedans which are all male, the SUVs which are all male, the Sedans which are all male, the minivans which are all male. However there is a seventh type of traveller that can be found travelling around Radiator Springs (Ornament Valley), and in the minigames that take place on the interstate. They are all male, and I believe that they are caravans. Yet they and their voice actors don't seem to be featured in this article. Not yet anyway. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:57, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

January or February 2006?

[edit]

Recently an IP user has persistently attempted to change one of the dates in the article from February 2006 to January 2006. Only for me to revert their edits because while their edits changed the date to January 2006, the associated source still stated that the February date is correct. Unless someone can confirm that the January date is correct and add a more reliable source, I think the date that's currently displayed in the article should be left as it is. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 22:23, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It has come to my attention that they actually used three different IP addresses. One for each edit:

Special:Contributions/2A01:E34:ED50:A580:9186:4CEB:A386:71D5

Though it is clear that they are all one person. As they all from the same location according to IP lookup. ― C.Syde (talk | contribs) 09:40, 5 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cars (video game)Cars: The Videogame – This is what it's officially titled. ErceÇamurOfficial (talk) 12:27, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: Per my above comments, this move request could potentially have WP:ENGVAR issues pertaining to the spelling of "Videogame" versus "Video Game". Not sure what to think of that, but WP:COMMONNAME may need to be taken into consideration regarding the spelling. Steel1943 (talk) 19:28, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
