[edit]Would you agree on that the soundtrack is to a large extent influenced (via Hollywood perhaps) by this. Scoo 12:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Yeah. Fantastic soundtrack, one of the best in pc game history imo. GulDukat73 19:42, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
Excellent game, good ol' days Mallerd (talk) 14:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Sierra official site link does not work. 80.98.10.245 (talk) 22:39, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Pretty good job - went through with a fine-toothed comb and found only one small mistake - baths don't actually affect health (only clinics do, and hospitals help deal with the consequences of poor health) TriumFant (talk) 01:13, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
question
[edit]Since its a somewhat old game, I thought to ask here, is there an enteties barrier / maximum in ceasar III? I have a city with 20.000 inhabitants, and suddently most of my wood / clay facilities stop producing, causing the city to callapse. Jasperwillem (talk) 00:33, 27 May 2011 (UTC)
Simon says no. You're just doing something wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.23.211.193 (talk) 21:13, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
Quality or Quantity - Why this article is being redone
[edit]Just to let any editors and/or readers know this, but the massive amount of unstructured information did not appear acceptable to my eyes, thus I decided to redo this with better structure in how the article on this game is presented. I hope that people will appreciate the effort I am putting in or have put in to making this a better article for all to enjoy. ;-) GUtt01 (talk) 12:51, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

[edit]- Julius at GitHub Julius: an open source re-implementation of Caesar III
- Augustus at GitHub Augustus is a fork of the Julius project that intends to incorporate gameplay changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Liangqi (talk • contribs) 15:13, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Are there any reliable secondary sources that cover these? The lack of coverage was why I originally removed them from the article. VRXCES (talk) 22:42, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

- Unfortunately we are looking at Wp:USERG, these are blogs, forum posts and YouTube videos. If there's been no coverage of this, and assuming this is unofficial, it doesn't really merit a mention, just as you wouldn't put a popular mod on the main article of a game unless it's something reliable secondary sources have talked about. Apologies if this is a bit discouraging. VRXCES (talk) 23:24, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Caesar III was released on 1998, Sierra Studios is dead. And the game is not modern and on sales in regular channels, it's only available via GOG and Steam. Those blogs/forum posts/YouTube videos are made by the real fans of the game, they are first hand materials. It IS discouraging when "reliable secondary source" is required on wikipedia. Liangqi (talk) 09:17, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- GOG support ticket is kind of "official" enough for the game users, at least for Caesar III. Liangqi (talk) 09:25, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
