[edit]Hope this is the correct way to suggest an update: the game Valfaris was released for Nintendo Switch and Steam/Windows on October 10. It's also slated for release on PS4 on Nov 5, and Xbox One on Nov 8. https://gematsu.com/2019/09/valfaris-launches-october-10-for-switch-and-pc-november-5-for-ps4-and-november-8-for-xbox-one Budrickton (talk) 15:51, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
Publisher column?
[edit]Why is this here? None of the tables from 2015 to 2018 have it. And if we have the publisher, it is completely inappropriate to omit the developer too - they are more important the publisher in most cases. There's presently no consistency with past lists with the publishers in it. --Masem (t) 04:41, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
I agree with Masem here. Maybe we should list Developers but not Publishers. Palex00 (talk) 19:34, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
Should we seperate PC/Windows-Releases by marketplace platform?
[edit]In the light of Epic Game Store and marketplaces like the Windows Store getting more popular, should we maybe split off the PC releases into marketplaces instead of just "Windows"?
The releases of these are also timed differently now - for example "What the golf?" is already released on the Epic Game Store but *not* on Steam - it's planned for 2020 on Steam. So does that mean that "What the Golf?" needs to be included in both the 2019 and the 2020 list for game releases under Windows? Or just the first one? I think seperating the games by market place is an important distinction we have to make but it's only relevant from 2019 on, so we only have to edit the market places in for this year and the years from now onwards.
Opinions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Palex00 (talk • contribs) 14:36, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
- I'm opposed to including it here, because it borders on WP:NOTCATALOG, and what is it that separates buying a PC game on Steam/EGS vs buying a Switch game digitally through Amazon? I don't think anyone would argue for the latter being worth covering separately here, and I don't think the former is any difference - a release on a platform is a release on that platform regardless of where it is sold. If reliable, secondary sources comment on staggered releases between different stores, or GOG re-releases of old PC games, or whatever, I do think it's fair to cover that in the games' individual articles, but that's about it.--Alexandra IDVtalk 00:05, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- We try to omit storefront issues unless it impacts its reception or the like. This should not be broken out here, but should reflect the first release on that platform by any storefront. --Masem (t) 01:05, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Since I really don't get the edit feature of the article, is it possible to implement Sayonara: Wild Hearts?
That game released on September 19th on the Nintendo Switch. It was developed by Simogo and published by Annapurna Interactive. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:F5F:AE00:D173:E819:232E:91A (talk) 13:58, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Added it. Released for PS4 and Switch. Palex00 (talk) 19:27, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
The Ace Attorney Trilogy has two entries - for its Japanese Only release and its world wide release
[edit]The Ace Attorney Trilogy released on February 21st for Japan for Switch, XONE and PS4 and internationally on April 9th for these platformes and on Steam. This game has two releases in this list - should we differentiate between the timed, regional exclusiveness or drop one of the two entries? Palex00 (talk) 19:32, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
