Notes and references
[edit]- Notes
- ^ The Banpo Grand Bridge is built over the Jamsu bridge (반포 대교, 1976) and has formed a two-level bridge since 1982. The upper level is equipped with 570 m (1,870 ft) fountains on each bank, a total length of 1,140 m (3,740 ft)[5][6].
- ^ a b c The length given only takes into account the main bridge, central span(s) and shore span(s), approach viaducts are not counted.
- ^ The first Haengju Bridge (main span: composite steel girder) was completed in 1978 and dismantled after the completion of the third bridge. The third bridge is a box girder prestressed concrete bridge between the first and the second bridge completed in 2000[43].
- ^ The twin bridges were originally entirely classic girder structures, steel tied-arches were added in 2010 to widening the main channel and to allow 5000t ships to pass[46].
