A few years ago, I created userboxes for every class in World of Warcraft at the time. Now an eleventh class exists. I'm about a year late, but better late than never....
As an expansion of the MythBusters templates I've already provided, I've added a custom userbox template for MythBusters. Examples of how this can be used (or misused ;-)) are shown below. The existing userboxes will remain, as they are already transcluded by many (and some, like the "eyebrow" one, don't conform to the new template).
The Border Collie userbox has optional parameters verb (to change "likes" into something else) and singular (to change "Border Collies" into "a Border Collie") but somehow I can't get the usbk syntax right. —Skysmurf (Talk)11:35, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
In its March 1st-7th 2014 edition, The Economist published an article (on pages 63-64) about Wikipedia: "WikiPeaks?".
In this, the writer stated: "Wikipedia is starting to show the limits of the volunteer-only model, says William Beutler, the author of "The Wikipedian", a blog. The fabled grumpiness of established editors is one reason: Please do not bite the newcomers runs a reminder on its noticeboard, presumably frequently ignored. (...)".
This prompted me to produce the userbox attached below (based on an existing template created by User:Scepia). I dare say it might serve as a useful reminder to us all, that we ought to ease up some, relax a little more and rekindle the enjoyment of what we do here.
I therefore offer this userbox for consideration; thank you.
With kind regards;
Patrick.
I really liked the design of Template:User Polish, however it wasn't really for Poles but those of Polish ancestry. So - inspired by the original design - I decided to make my own version for those who were born in Poland, though in the process of making the userbox I added a humourous twist to it. Enjoy!
OK! So here are a bunch of userboxes I'd like everyone to check out. I'll explain each one:
This one is pretty self-explanatory. I couldn't find one like it (is there?) so I made one. Does anyone think I should change the text background color so as to make the link more readable? Though a lot of userboxes have that sort of thing. Also, should there be an auto-category-thingy in the code? I'd put one in if I knew how.
Also explanatory. Any ideas? Category?
Ditto.
Ditto. Though I don't think this needs a category at all. Does anyone think it's funny? :)
This one is to be put under User:Offiikart/ubx/wierd which can be found here. To see the effect, check out my user page. It's for weird spell-it-righters, like me.
I was going through this list looking for this genre, but I couldn't find one so I played off the typical format and made this. Category?
Also explanatory. There's one sort of like this here but it's not quite the same as this one. I put it at the bottom of my list. Does anyone else think that that is the perfect face? I looked up "facepalm" on Wikimedia Commons.
Could I get some help on the jazz guitar one? It should I guess go in the musical instruments section, but you need 1, 2, 3, 4, as well. So yes, anyone wanna help? Oh yes, I could use a picture licensed for user page use for the Grant Green one. Could be a guitar, or anything. But I'd like something. Also. Where would the IMMORTAL tour go? Eman235(talk)03:49, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
I've made userboxes for Slavs who find Early Slavs and their faith interesting, but don't like nationalism and racism. Some Slavic neopagans would probably find these to their liking as well - as a way to show their beliefs without being automatically associated with Neo-Nazis. There is a version for guys and a version for girls. I hope you like them! :)
I cannot find a userbox for bellringing, or specifically English style change ringing, so I made one! What do you think? BethNaught (talk) 20:21, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
Perhaps instead of bellringer you could put "change ringer", or "This user enjoys English style change ringing". You have a picture of a bell to indicate what the instrument is. Bellringer makes me think of handbells (which I play). I was privileged to observe a change ringing practice in a Boston church bell tower many years ago, and anyone who can do that has a right to be proud of their craft. Oldbeeg (talk) 12:40, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
I fixed the usbkbottom template so the third one is now visible. Thoughts: You might want to shrink the pictures. Eman235/talk23:57, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

Please help me, I have NO idea how to create a transclusion for my new userbox. if you can help me, thanks. I don't know if posting my new userbox here is necessary for someone's help, but if it is, it's right here:
In the future, copy your code, then search for User:Cassie Hawthorne/whatever you userbox name is. It'll tell you there's no such subpage, and give you the option to create the subpage. Click on that, paste your code in, and hit "save". Then you can transclude it. Eman235/talk04:24, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Only because I just finished reading it, I refer you to… this part. But personally I think… it's all good! and, while I have no problem with m/d/y, or d/m/y for that matter, I find the potential confusion frustrating and personally (until 2032 anyways) try to go with yyyy-m-d. To each their own though! Cheers — Who R you?Talk19:49, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
I fixed the code for you. (I'm not even sure why it didn't render.) Now all you need to do is
Copy this:

Click this link: User:Elkaybklyn/User rides motor scooter (or if you would prefer a different name for your box, search User:Elkaybklyn/name_of_box, hit Start the User:Elkaybklyn/name_of_box page and continue to 3).
I've just made a slew of userboxes in association with WikiProject Autism. Feel free to move any of them out of WikiProject space, since they are related to the project but not limited to it in scope.already doneMuffinator (talk) 01:21, 3 August 2014 (UTC)
This user is opposed to communism, fascism, authoritarianism and all forms of political extremism, as they deny people basic rights, freedoms and for many, the right to life. They have, throughout history, have always proved to be a disaster.
I couldn't find a userbox for people who enjoy playing Killer Bunnies, so I created this one. It will be extremely difficult to find a free licensed image that people will associate with the game, so for now I just used "KB." — Jkudlicktcs05:19, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

I made this simple userbox in my other account, showing my addiction to YouTube (more or less):
There are already similar userboxes in the category Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/European_Union/United_Kingdom#Flags_and_Symbols but supporters disagree on which symbol should be used or the exact design. The Welsh Dragon and the St David's Cross are suggestions on which symbol should be used (e.g. I personally prefer the design suggested by Ian Lucas in 2007 and I would like to include it in a userbox but I am not sure of its copyright status although both the dragon and the Union Flag are in the Public Domain). I based the colours on those used in the Union Jack. Tk420 (talk) 20:28, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
I wanted to include my favourite variation of the Je suis Charlie logo. It features the hashtag Je suis Ahmed Merabet which was published in the Huffington Post and it is on Wikimedia Commons. My design is based on the existing userbox at the top of the Wikipedia:Userboxes/Politics#General_views section. Tk420 (talk) 13:03, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
This user accepts that freedom is a two way process as are equality, human rights and respect and that rights and freedoms are for everyone. You have to respect the rights of others as well your own.

In the first of my designs for today the image is of the British road sign for two way traffic crossing a one way street. I thought it would be a good metaphor for two repressed rights trying to cross a common obstacle and also thought it would look good in between two userboxes representing rights of opposing sides. The image is in the Public Domain in the United States, where Wikimedia's servers are based, but the original uploaders neglected to mention this in the file summary but I am trying to fix it. The second design has the Irish version of the sign and I though it might appeal to users in countries which have that type of sign. I have decided to group them into the section Wikipedia:Userboxes/Politics/Issues#Rights_and_Social_Issues. The third design is for the section Wikipedia:Userboxes/Politics/Issues#Religion_and_Politics. I noticed a userbox in favour of the ban there and I thought it was one sided. The image is of makeshift minarets in Zürich in a demonstration against the ban and is in the Public Domain. I used the colours in the info section to match the yellow used in the demonstration. Tk420 (talk) 12:17, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Found your problem. I think you need to replace with User Shropshire4 on your userpage. To show determination to use good English and euphony, a user box for those respecting the guidance of the Queen's English Society. (I had been using a user box for the Academy founded by the Society, but that Academy has vanished.)

My first two designs for today are for the category Wikipedia:Userboxes/Politics#Democracy.2C_representation_and_voting. Although there is already a userbox for users who prefer preferential voting to first past the post but my design is for users who are open to other alternatives. As for my second design although there is already a userbox for Schulze STV I have made it for users who support no particular type of STV. Onto my next two designs, those are for users who are in favour of allowing opposite sex couples to enter a Civil Uinion, or Civil Partnership as we call them in Britain and Ireland, as well as a same sex couple. This might sound strange to those unfamiliar with the concept but this is the case in jurisdictions such as France, the Netherlands and some US states. Tk420 (talk) 21:33, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
This user supports the American policies of fair use and threshold of originality believing it will bring greater leeway to arts and media in their country.
My contribution for today is based on a common error and is for the section Wikipedia:Userboxes/Location/European Union/United Kingdom. I remember Wikipedia making this mistake on the main in the on this day feature on 17 April 2012 describing the Peak District as being the first National Park in the British Isles instead of the United Kingdom. I already knew that Killarney was the first National Park in these islands and I pointed it out on the talk page as I was unable to edit the main page myself. Since then the main correctly used the term United Kingdom. Tk420 (talk) 22:08, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
It has been shown that the dress is blue and black, but for those who still insist on the other way here's the template. ParclyTaxel14:25, 2 March 2015 (UTC)

The first three insert the name of the user who includes it on their page.
Some userboxes that I have made, for myself and as per request.
If someone is going to catogorize them before I do, here is where I think that they should go:
Suggestion: replace the "info" parameter in the Shakespeare one with This user believes that <span style="color:silver">William Shakespeare</span> is the greatest writer of all time. That way the link still stands out (as opposed to turning the link white) but it won't have contrast problems (blue on black). Eman235/talk23:41, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
@Hans T.M: I don't know about you, but the color contrast between the red and blue in the Windows XP one is making my eyes water...maybe a little darker? Eman235/talk20:22, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
Here's one more... can't find a page about "free spirits" on Wikipedia, but there are many out there (including myself). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks! —Hanyou23 (talk) 04:32, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
June 16, 2015, Lassi User box, help improve it make it small as other user boxes
@Eman235, Still you have not edited or created a userbox for above Lassi. the code you above provided is not useful for purpose. tell me if you can make a userbox or not?.. thanks..--Jogi don (talk) 04:38, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
For those monument lovers who can't express their frustration with the European Parliament these days in any other way, here's a userbox. ParclyTaxel11:08, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Wow! My first self-created userboxes! Fort Worth, Texas is a major city (16-th largest in the US) and Kyocera is an popular Korean-based phone manufacturer.
Hi! Here's my first crack at a userbox... any suggestions - look ok (smiley)? Thanks!!!
(I haven't assigned this box to any categories yet... that might be the next step after this, maybe?... thanks again!)
Cool! Added an emoji... tried to pick one that looks like he's out of his world. Thanks for letting me know ! Hanyou23 (talk) 14:41, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
You do like your color contrasts, no? The first one is actually difficult to read, the second one is better, and the third is the least stressful on the eyes. KDS4444Talk04:06, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
I couldn't find a userbox for collecting Mosin-Nagant rifles so I modified the UBX pistol userbox. I widened the ID area so one could actually see the photo of the Russian Mosin M44 Carbine (photo as used in the Mosin-Nagant article). I linked in the Info section to Curio & Relic Firearms collecting and to the Mosin-Nagant article. Red background because, well, it's Russian/Soviet! I also included the code that grabs the user name of the page, so on my page it says "Stargzer enjoys ..." but on this page it says, "Userboxes enjoys ... ."
What would really be good for using longer images such as a rifle is a two-level userbox, with the ID and Info one on top of the other. Maybe I'll work on that some day ...
First a little userbox for my personal favorite animal, which other may like too. Then another box for proud Blender users! The images used in both boxes are under the GNU and Creative Commons licenses. Thoughts?
@Etamni: Cheers. I'm pleased to see that you are satisfied with it. Will try and make some more exciting boxes in the future if I ever find a certain interesting subject. Arbero (talk) 23:15, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
My designs for today are for users who describe their dialect as the one specifically from England as opposed to general British English. Tk420 (talk) 20:47, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Well, it seems that I couldn't find the userbox for anyone who edits videos, so I hope you don't mind if I could add one. I think it might be good if it will be placed on the Profession section, if appropriate. Thanks.
—WindVee (talk) 18:22, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
Looks good. Be bold and go ahead and put it on the correct page. There's not much discussion about these things. I've started just putting mine right on the gallery pages. - Tim D. Williamsonyak-yak23:32, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
@Tim D. Williamson Thanks. Btw, I have updated my userbox so that it de-capitalizes the 'v' in Video editor, it doesn't feel right seeing it capitalized while the others are in lowercase. WindVee (talk) 03:25, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes, but that's not the problem -- it seems to be yet another bug in Internet Explorer, because it looks fine in Firefox. The preview looks fine with color = #ffffff (instead of #fff), for whatever reason. Eman235/talk22:24, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
