Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Technology and engineering in Russia task force
Welcome to the Technology and engineering in Russia task force!
Scope
[edit]The scope of this task force includes all articles related to the fields of technology and engineering in Russia.
Goals
[edit]- Improving the coverage of Russia's technology on Wikipedia
- This is the general goal of this task force. Currently, the topic of technology in Russia's is vastly underdeveloped despite having a huge growth potential, in terms of both quality and quantity.
- Bringing all Russia-related technology and engineering articles within the scope of WikiProject Russia
- The following line should be inserted onto the talk page of an article to place it within WP:RUSSIA scope, with appropriate assessment parameters:
{{WikiProject Russia|class=|importance=}}
- For articles within the scope of this task force, also set the "tech" parameter to "yes":
{{WikiProject Russia|class=|importance=|tech=yes}}
- When assessing a page with WP:RUSSIA template, consider also adding templates of other wikiprojects, such as WP:TECHNOLOGY, or more specific projects. This may attract more editors to the page.
- Adding new tasks to the to-do list
|
- If you can think of subjects related to technology in Russia and currently without an article, please add them to the to-do list below.
- If you have noticed that some important article from the topic area is in poor state and needs major expansion/improvement, please add this article to the to-do list.
- If you have noticed that some general article about technology is missing vital information related to Russia, please add this article to the to-do list and add a short description of possible improvements.
- If you have a to-do list of your own and would like to share it with other editors, consider adding your tasks related to the scope of this task force to its to-do list.
- Collecting resources
- If you can think of good books or web resources about technology and engineering in Russia, please add them to the Resources section. Sources which provide a general overview of technology in Russia or of its major subtopics, such as space technology or nuclear technology, are especially valuable.
- Increasing participation
- Sign up for the task force.
- Leave invitation messages on the talk pages of users which make valuable contributions to the articles within the scope of the project.
- Announce this project and its tasks on the talk pages of related WikiProjects, such as WP:TECHNOLOGY, or more specialized ones.
- Consider attracting people from the Russian Wikipedia to assist in developing Russia's technology topic area.
