[edit]- Baby Gender Mentor - this article was named today as a Featured Article on the English Wikipedia. The article has a connection to China. Therefore, I wonder if anyone here would like to translate it into any other langugages. - Johntex\talk 07:15, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

==Barefoot lawyer==
This article has been around for more than 3 years and was written by an old wiki friend of mine. I tried to get it translated back then but didn't have any luck. It's an important article if someone in the mainland is having legal problems and wants to research where to go for help and then happens to have a vpn and searches for it on the net. Please please can someone translate the article :-)? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barefoot_lawyer Thanks in advance Notgoingtotellyou (talk) 00:43, 25 December 2015 (UTC)
I would like this article to be also available in Chinese. This is a peninsula near Nagoya (名古屋)which is famous for agricultural production and beautiful nature. This region also has a historical connection with China; as early as 4-7th centuries, there were already Chinese immigrants living in this peninsula. My written Chinese skill is not good enough to do the translation by myself, so I would appreciate it if someone else could do it in my stead. --Kapibaramushi (talk) 02:30, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
- We would like to have the article of Eliana Rubashkyn in Chinese - A story that happened mainly in China and have articles in Spanish es:Eliana Rubashkyn, English and Euskara eu:Eliana Rubashkyn but not Chinese, she was the first transgender woman recognised as such in the world under the United Nations and refugee 1951 refugee convention.
- Would really appreciate Grime (music genre) being translated, particularly the Chinese grime and Sinogrime sections! Madbrad200 (talk) 11:31, 25 January 2020 (UTC)
- Request for translation into Chinese Israel Tsvaygenbaum
I would like to ask to translate into the Chinese an English language article about American artist Israel Tsvaygenbaum. His Chinese name is 伊斯雷尔·茨威根鲍姆. Thank you. Sunakihiko (talk) 19:34, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
Translate Chinese-langauge sources
[edit]- I have a userspace article I'm working on which refers to this source in one of its references. The headline, "百变小胖将拍电影演刘禅 或与刘德华搭档", has been Google-fied to "Variety film gets to his LIU Chan and Andy Lau or partner", which ain't right. Would it be possible for someone to offer a proper English translation, so that the citation looks a liitle more readable? Many thanks in advance. --DeLarge 22:06, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi DeLarge I'm having difficulty accessing the weblink you provided so I'm unable to determine the context of the article. However I would assume 小胖 to be the stage name of an artist: "百变小胖将拍电影演刘禅 或与刘德华搭档" --> Versatile Little Fatty will star in the movie Liu Chan or partner with Andy Lau. 百变=ever-changing (literal translation=hundred change) - Mineowyn (talk) 13:05, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- The so called 百变小胖 is actually named 钱志君. He became famous after his face got photoshopped into hundreds of characters, thus dubbed 100 changing. He is currently called The Famous Fat Boy according to this website. For his "official" site, himself uses Xiao Pang, standing for little fatty. The phrase 演刘禅 或与刘德华搭档, noticing the space, means he will star as 刘禅 Liu Chan AND MAYBE partner with Andy Liu 刘德华.
- This is the movie.
- Is there an editor who has a reasonable skill in reading Chinese who could help out for a short while with an article? I want to clean up the China Dragon article, but since the ownership changed hands, they haven't made an English website again. So I'm kind of stuck with awful google translations and its getting me nowhere. I'm just hoping someone might be able to help me with the Chinese ice hockey association [2] website and give it a quick skim and tell me if there is anything there that looks remotely useful (like say a subsection of the site dedicated to the team) or anything else before I go much further.--Crossmr (talk) 02:39, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- I would like to request a translation of this 对联: The Shanglian is “缙绅诸公,狼公、虎公、饕餮公,公然办公,公心何在,公理何存,无非借公图私利。” and the Xialian is “团防总局,饭局、酒局、洋烟局,局中设局,局内人甘,局外人苦,何日了局庆升平。”

Jintang Island- I searched a bit for maps of the island so I could draw one to better illustrate the article, and I found something that made me curious. This image, and this one too show a road(?) leading to the island. However, google maps (you can also try accessing several map sources simultaneously with flashearth) doesn't show any kind of linking between the island and the continental shore. What do those lines mean in the maps? Also, I'd like to ask you what this page says. Maybe we can integrate information from there into the article, or the map I intend to do. Thanks, Waldir talk 12:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)- Done, thanks to Mineowyn. See Talk:Jintang Island#Jintang Bridge.
Wo Hing Society Hall- Anyone can help me translate the main altar at the place? The Historic Society says it's dedicated to Guan Ti, but as you can see, it develops a red link. I don't want it to link to the wrong article, so any help would be appreciated.--293.xx.xxx.xx (talk) 21:52, 27 November 2007 (UTC)- Done. Guan Ti is Guan Yu. The Ti is Cantonese pronunciation for Di, meaning Emperor Guan.

Any useful facts in this 6-page paper?(Simplified Chinese, moderately technical) If there's anything interesting in the following journal article that's not already included in China Jinping Underground Laboratory, translated quotes would be appreciated at Talk:CJPL (or feel free to edit the article directly, of course). The CJPL-specific part appears to be the last two pages; the rest is mostly a comparison to other underground laboratories, which WP doesn't need additional information on.
