May 2024
[edit]Hi Yut3117! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 03:45, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Since I am making frequent additions, I ended up using minor changes because it was a pain. I didn't know much about it, but that's the rule. I'll be careful next time. thank you. Yut3117 (talk) 04:29, 10 May 2024 (UTC)

- Thanks. I correct it. Yut3117 (talk) 10:42, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello. Regarding English song titles for Japanese works, please see MOS:JA. We do not stylize titles in all caps. Please also see MOS:POPMUSIC. Album titles are placed between italics Like This and song titles are placed between quotation marks "Like This". Please bear this in mind going forward for all articles you create or edit, including all of Kis-My-Ft2's articles that you've created. Thanks. Ss112 02:55, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know the rules. I didn't know much about them so my previous articles were probably wrong. I'll try to fix them. Thanks for the advice. Yut3117 (talk) 04:11, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
Grand Maison Tokyo

- You are certainly right. I don't mind if you change it to "Le Grande Maison Tokyo", thank you. Yut3117 (talk) 13:29, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

Title & trans-title
[edit]Hi, I noticed you had change the title to translated english. You can leave 2 together if you wish, title=(Japanese characters) and trans-title=(Translated English) if you wish. Template:Cite web Just observing / Just my two cents. Thank you for your attention. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 15:19, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- I did so because I thought the English title would be more kind to readers, but I see that I can leave both. I will do so in the future. Thank you. Yut3117 (talk) 22:31, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
Sandbox
[edit]Please note that user sandbox pages, such as your User:Yut3117/sandbox, are not allowed to be filed in mainspace categories as if they were already finished articles. The page must stay out of any categories while it's in sandbox, and may be added to categories only if and when the content is actually being moved into mainspace as a real article. Since I've already had to remove the page from categories twice, please don't readd it to categories again. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 14:42, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing it out. I did not know that. I'll be careful next time. Yut3117 (talk) 15:16, 30 July 2024 (UTC)

Non-attributed translations
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ja:正門良規 to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:
NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.
Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. C F A 💬 18:16, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- @CFA I didn't know that I should and how to do that. I will add a note about past articles as well. Thanks for letting me know. Yut3117 (talk) 21:54, 15 September 2024 (UTC)

New message to Yut3117
[edit]Accidentaly Reverted your sandbox. It seemed you want a blank slate. Do you want me to request deletion on the page? (it seems you blanked the page in good faith) Thanks, Cooldudeseven7 (Cheers! Let's Discuss over a cup of tea!) 12:17, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Page creation suggestion
[edit]Hello Yut3117! I recently came across your articles and found them to be very well-written. I just wrote and promoted a Taiwanese-Japanese film, 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days, to GA status, but the film's director, Michihito Fujii, currently does not have an article on enwiki. Unfortunately, while he appears to be quite a notable figure, having been nominated for the Japan Academy Film Prize, I am not familiar with the Japanese entertainment industry and do not feel confident writing an article for him myself. I was wondering if you might be interested in helping to write an article about him. It is completely fine if you prefer not to. I am just asking for a favor, and the choice is yours. Cheers and happy editing! — Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 10:24, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. Michihito Fujii is indeed a young film director who has been active in Japan recently. I will do some research on him and then write an article about Fujii. Please wait a while. Yut3117 (talk) 08:24, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry I missed your message, Yut3117. I just saw your newly written article on Michihito Fujii. It is an excellent article and I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. One tip for improving the sources: social media posts and YouTube videos are generally not considered as reliable sources, especially in biographical articles. If you cannot find secondary sources to support Fujii's music videography, it might be better not to include that information. Thank you again for your help and I am truly impressed by your effort. Cheers and keep up the great work! —Prince of Erebor(The Book of Mazarbul) 14:29, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Prince of Erebor Thanks for your good comments on my new article. I understand that it is not a good idea to use social media as a reference site in biographical articles. I will do some more research and look for other reference sources. Thanks for letting me know. Yut3117 (talk) 15:01, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
[edit]Hi Yut3117, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 00:16, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Just Step Sideways Thank you for letting me know about autopatrolled user right. Also, thank you for letting me know about Wikiproject and others. I will continue to strive to write quality articles. Yut3117 (talk) 08:31, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
Copy-Paste Merge
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Playzone a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Playzone. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:11, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon As it was unclear whether it was really a good idea to rewrite the entire Draft that others had created halfway through and then Move it, I cancelled the work in Draft and created a new article. If it would have been better to Move from Draft, I will do so in the future. Thanks for pointing this out. Yut3117 (talk) 23:25, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
