Is Juliana Mirza's mother??
https://books.google.com/books?id=BlreO8bmK30C&pg=PA205 Philafrenzy (talk) 20:23, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks @Philafrenzy:. Seth says, in the same book that Lady Juliana (Agra) was given to Jean-Philipe Bourbon by Akbar in 1560, that Akbar gave an Armenian to Sikander Mirza in 1590 and that there were a number of lady Juliana's. He says Mirza's mother Lady Juliana died in 1598. It's confusing and muddled. I think these are two different Lady Juliana's as our other Lady Juliana would have been much older by 1590. Opinion??Whispyhistory (talk) 20:31, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
- He separates them here in the footnote but says both were doctors in the seraglio. What the word "doctor" means in this context is debatable. I would think closer to midwife and pediatrician. I assume that no adult male could enter thus necessitating a female physician. Philafrenzy (talk) 19:43, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
- 2 separate Lady Juliana's. Well done detective. You have done really well with this article. Have you read Prince Michael of Greece's version? He gives a completely different story. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:51, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

I have been meaning to mention that we only put the abbreviation in brackets after the full name if we are going to use it again. That's the purpose, to save spelling it out in subsequent uses. Dossibai Patell
Now exists in South Azerbaijani, because she was Parsi? You could add Hindi. Philafrenzy (talk) 18:12, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Philafrenzy: thanks. Do I translate to Hindi or is there a magic button? Whispyhistory (talk) 19:08, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- There are plenty of translation tools, but if you are completely fluent you will probably make a better job of it. I don't know what the norms and rules of the Hindi wiki are but I assume they are broadly similar to English. Philafrenzy (talk) 19:18, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- I really, really would not trust machine translation. The standard test is this: take a passage of text in a language A, use the translation software to yield the same passage in language B, and then use the same software to translate the passage back from language B to language A. If it comes back different from how it started, the test fails. If you are a native speaker of language A, reading the results of a mistranslation can be a good form of entertainment.
- Anyway, they have tried to produce machine translation for Wikipedia, it is called "Content Translation" and you can enable it at Preferences → Beta features. It produced so much garbage that we insisted that its use be restricted at English Wikipedia. It is available at Hindi Wikipedia - check your preferences there. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:29, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

National Hospital Organization Okayama Medical Center
Hi, thanks for writing this article! I've been going through recently-created Wikipedia articles to try to make sure that they're linked up with relevant foreign-language articles and Wikidata entries. There's a Japanese-language article on "国立病院機構南岡山医療センター"-is that the same organisation and an appropriate link to make? Wanted to check as I don't speak Japanese. Blythwood (talk) 19:07, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you @Blythwood:. I don't speak Japanese either, but using Google translate and searching, it appears you are correct. Philafrenzy may know how to convert the article into English. I would have expanded the article except many sources are in Japanese. Whispyhistory (talk) 19:58, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
- It appears to be the same place certainly but there seems to be very little in the Japanese version beyond basic facts (mostly unsourced) and nothing about any medical research that has taken place there. I didn't check the sources. Philafrenzy (talk) 22:20, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

More footnotes at Milton Keynes
You tagged Milton Keynes as needing more references, but the article is extensively referenced. You left no remarks at talk:Milton Keynes that might give a clue as to what it was that you felt needed attention. Would you please do so. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 20:34, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
- (Talk page stalker) There are still numerous passages without references including whole paragraphs. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:33, 25 December 2018 (UTC)
- @John Maynard Friedman:. Yes it has an extensive reference list but many paragraphs without inline citations. I'm sure the information is in the list of references. Please feel free to fix and I"ll try and help too. Whispyhistory (talk) 02:46, 26 December 2018 (UTC)
- Whilst accepting the principle of what you say, in similar circumstances I would always try to use {{cn}} liberally and prefer to tag individual sections rather than whole articles. When the whole article is tagged, it is just too depressing! [I realise of course that this approach can depress the reviewer instead!] --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 12:40, 26 December 2018 (UTC)

Citation marathon
@Whispyhistory:, @Philafrenzy:, I've done a citation marathon on this article. May I invite you to remove the 'citations needed' tag now? I won't object if you rate it as GA while you are there :-) --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 11:46, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you but there are still large unreferenced sections and paras. "Original towns and villages" for instance which has only two cites. I regret to say that your marathon is not over yet. A relay race may be a more useful format if you can find anyone else that has a passion for Milton Keynes. Philafrenzy (talk) 11:58, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- I added some citation required tags. I could have added a lot more. Ultimately if material can't be cited it has to be removed. You could consider trimming the uncitable parts if they seem peripheral. For instance there is a statement that John Hegley sometimes appears somewhere. If it is said it has to be cited but really who cares? There is quite a lot of trivia like that in the article. Also, the lead is cumbersome and hard to read. Philafrenzy (talk) 12:09, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you @John Maynard Friedman:. It will look great once tightened and referenced. Thanks @Philafrenzy:.Whispyhistory (talk) 13:00, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Whispyhistory:, @Philafrenzy:, thank you both for really helpful prompts, I shall work on these "real soon now". I agree about the trivia, I did kick some out but will have to sharpen my pruning knife more. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 15:28, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Citation ultra-marathon
@Whispyhistory:, @Philafrenzy:, I've staggered over the finish line, I believe I've cleared any cn tags and deleted obvious opinion even if cited. No significant help of course, people like to add content, only the fall guys spend hours hunting citations.
At this stage I'd really appreciate another read through when you have time. I think the emphasis now ought to be style rather than content: leaden prose that needs rewriting or removing wholesale. I'm afraid that I can no longer see the wood for the trees or is the trees for the wood. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 23:55, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

LeicesterCoventry, Cambridge, London and Oxford" but I have no idea how to cite it, short of wp:OR, any suggestions? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 21:28, 18 February 2019 (UTC)- IMHO it's not OR if a reliable source atlas shows that to be the case. City status is granted by a royal charter I think so that should be a matter of fact too. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:06, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

- What do you think? Give me your thoughts by considering the book as a whole not just the one page. Philafrenzy (talk) 08:36, 30 March 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Dennis Lennon
On 2 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dennis Lennon, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Dennis Lennon hoped his design for the interior of the Queen Elizabeth 2 (pictured) would be the "setting for the world's best party"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dennis Lennon. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Dennis Lennon), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
