your block of User:Bin Ladens Osama
I'm not actually contesting it, I'm just curious as to exactly which part of username policy you blocked them for, as it is not specified in your notice. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:19, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- The block was for having a disruptive username. To quote from WP:U, disruptive usernames do include "outright trolling…", which was pretty obvious, given their talk page edits. Also, they asked for a block! :) TNXMan 20:24, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- The whole thing struck me as very odd, as though they created the account knowing, even hoping it would be blocked. People are so weird... Beeblebrox (talk) 20:27, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Who knows? I can't see the fun in it, because you would think the point of vandalizing is to not get caught. TNXMan 20:31, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Why are you deleting my articles???
I've spent the whole day writing articles about I Love Wynona and their release A Beautiful Noise - and now you are deleting them??? That's NOT funny, we're in the middle of the promo campaign and I really don't have time for this! Please recreate the article at once!

- I'm sorry, but Wikipedia cannot be used for promotional purposes. All of our articles must be written from a neutral point of view and be supported by independent reliable sources. TNXMan 14:23, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- If I'd been allowed to add anything before it was deleted, I'd have added that Storås Artist Promo Team only is a cooperation project. There is no commercial company with that name. We're three persons trying to promo work as cheap as possible for local acts. Your argument is non-existing, regarding to self-promotion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hermaneklelund (talk • contribs) 14:35, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, I was just about to add the sources. I started using Wikipedia today, and didn't understand how the link system works before you deleted my post... Please let the text back in and let me add the sources. (Do you really think I do promo work without reliable, independent sources?)
This is NOT a promotional purpose. I've written about the history behind the record and details around the release. As fast as I have sources, there should be no reason for not having this published. If this is the threshold for getting anything published here, then Wikipedia can't be called democratic.

Ismael Ahmed
Hello, I work for a PR firm and Mr. Ahmed requested we post his biography on Wikipedia to increase his social media presence on the web. How can I correctly attribute the information in the Wikipedia page to the Michigan Department of Human Services so I can post an article with his biography? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheRossmanGroup (talk • contribs) 16:43, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Question regarding deletion
Hi there. I am trying to post an Article about our organization (American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists). The article was just deleted. This article does not promote the organization - it simply defines our Mission Statement.
I am just wondering what I need to do to properly submit this. There are many national organizations on wikipedia:
National societies • American Cancer Society, an American medical organization • American Chemical Society, an American professional association • American Colonization Society, an organization that helped in founding Liberia, for use in the slave trade • American Constitution Society for Law and Policy, an organization of lawyers and law students in the United States • American Cryonics Society, non-profit corporation that supports and promotes research and education into cryonics • Australian Cinematographers Society • Australian Computer Society, an association for information and communications technology professionals —Preceding unsigned comment added by Craig Pharma (talk • contribs) 18:22, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- There are many organizations with articles on Wikipedia. These organizations have articles because they have shown why they are notable. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, using independent reliable sources, and writing from a neutral point of view. TNXMan 18:28, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Alta Mira (Band) Deleted
Sir,
You've deleted a page I was working on about a band called Alta Mira, of which my record label (Indian Ledge Records) is about to release with nationwide AAA radio promotion. If I need to be more specific in my details please let me know, however I would like to have a page up for them before the release. Please advise me on how not to have the page deleted again. Thank you,

- Well, Wikipedia cannot be used for promotion of a band and/or an album. I would encourage you to read our info on what makes a band notable, our guide to writing your first article and writing neutrally. You'll also want to provide multiple independent reliable sources that demonstrate the band's notability. TNXMan 19:51, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

It appears to have gotten a good consensus. If you want to go ahead, I think that would be fine. Drop me a line after you make the changes and I'll look over them if you like. Gigs (talk) 22:44, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Agilo for Scrum Page
Dear TNXMan, thanks for your message :-)
Since the very first beginning I tried to make all the entries in a proper way. Some guys helped me and I regularly update the links and information. Agilo is a young tool, therefor there are not sooo many official test, but a huge amount of downloaders are proving, that Scrum, and also the only open source tool Agilo, is getting more and more attention. One reason for that is also, that Agilo contains a help and guideline that supports people to get used to Scrum and to introduce it to the teams. Somehow is "taking them by the hand". I am in contact with some magazines to write independent test article to be able to insert more useful links. For the moment I can just ask you to have a look on google and you will find a lot of blog posts talking an evaluating the tool.
I would be really happy if you could tell me what is needed to make the page better and more valuable so its worth to be in Wikipedia.
I am looking forward to your feedback Marion --Teckmx5 (talk) 15:54, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Username policy
While the changes to the policy are definitely in the right direction, I can't help but feeling like we are not accomplishing much in terms of getting reports of obvious promotion off of UAA and into a better place. As long as it still looks like the best option in Twinkle is to report advertising to UAA, we'll probably have this problem. Maybe we could add a new checkbox in Twinkle's ARV->AIV section for "account is being used for promotional purposes"? Gigs (talk) 18:01, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- That may be good option. Is there a way to generate a default report for the COI board? I think the concern is that there are users whose edits we need to watch, but immediate action is not required. TNXMan 20:54, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- I think that is one class of complaint, but there is at least as many that have already made clearly promotional edits. We should probably make it easy to report promotion to both COIN and AIV depending on the complexity and how obvious the promotion was. Clear cut and obvious to AIV and questionable to COIN. I put in one Twinkle bug report to change the UAA help text. I can put in some more to do the other stuff, but we might want to get consensus first. Gigs (talk) 20:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of Black & Tan Records page
Hello,
Firstly, I am new to Wikipedia, so please forgive me if I don't follow the correct procedures or etiquette -It's quite daunting to start.
I understand that you were party to the deletion of the Black & Tan Records page I created earlier today, and that it was deleted on the principle that the subject is not noteworthy.
In defence of the article, I would like to point out that this record label is as notable as several labels listed on the Blues page in the paragraph about blues music in the 1990s. I chose to write about this label as part of a project I'm planning about keeping the Blues alive as a genre and the influence of specialist labels, artists and podcasters. Black & Tan, is already refered to on other articles, and is of similar significance as Ruf records and Northern Blues whose pages I used to set the tone and content for this article.
I hope this is sufficient justification, but if not, I'd be grateful for further guidance.
Thanks for your help,
Versificator (talk) 18:51, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- The article which you wrote did not indicate why the record label is notable. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and supporting your article with independent reliable sources. Dear Tnxman307,
i saw you deleted my work without any warnings :( I would like to know why exactly. I'm not a salaryman of this company but i'm doing an internship and i would like that people know more about serious gaming. And B2B Game is the major french company in Serious gaming. Did you really take the time to see the references ,related links and press release? That's speak for itself.
Hope to hear from you soon.

- No problem. For a minute there, I froze. "Is it "always" subst? "Never" subst? Where did I see that?" I had to do some quick digging to find it again. If you do start that conversation, let me know. I'd be interested to see the debate. Best, TNXMan 20:00, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Removed prod from Advancement Project
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Advancement Project, which you proposed for deletion, because I think that this article should not be deleted from Wikipedia. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks!
PS: I totally understand why you nominated it. I almost supported the proposed deletion but I did a quick Google News search and that organization is mentioned so many times in the media it's ridiculous. I'd almost support its deletion as WP:IDONTLIKEIT but I have to honor Wikipedia's policies. I did replace just about all the article text because it was all a copyvio from the company's web page. -- Atamachat 20:24, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm OK with the stubbification (is that a word?) that you performed. I have the article on my watchlist and will monitor updates to make sure any advert-ish material doesn't creep in over time. Thanks for the heads up! TNXMan 20:27, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

CDMA Development Group (CDG)
Hi Tnxman307,
Earlier today I submitted a page for the CDMA Development Group (CDG), a non-profit industry consortium of member companies that have been instrumental in bring the CDMA wireless standard to be used around the world. The purpose of our page is to provide some of the history behind the development of CDMA technology, and the steps the CDG and its member companies have taken (and continue to take) to get the standard accepted and adopted by operators around the world. It's important history not found on other CDMA Wikipedia pages.
I've noticed that other industry group pages are posted, most notably the CTIA's Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CTIA_-_The_Wireless_Association). There is also one about 3GSM (Mobile World Congress) just from the trade show this year, which to me seems to be a flagrant advertisement for the annual conference.
I'm hoping you can provide some additional feedback as to what I need to do to make our submission seem less advertorial. We want our page to be a reference for people looking for information about CDMA and its history, as well as the companies that have shaped its development and adoption. Would a list of member companies help? Press write ups? More history in prose?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Bshewmake

- First of all, please remember that the inclusion or exclusion of one article has no bearing on the inclusion or exclusion of another article. This type of argument is generally referred to as "What about article X?". Your particular article was deleted because it was written with very promotional language and did not cite any independent third-party reliable sources. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, as well as how to write from a neutral point of view. You can also work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace before moving it to the mainspace, as this will give you time to improve it. TNXMan 14:20, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Publicity?
hello,
I created a page and you have deleted it, the reason being - "some publicity thing".
i would be very greatful if you could suggest some changes - which will help me make the article better and the reason for deletion will go away.
i am very sure the article that i have written is definately NOT for publicity purpose.
Thanks. Regards, Shruti. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shrutikamthe (talk • contribs) 04:27, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- The article was deleted for two reasons: first, it did not indicate why the subject was notable and secondly, it appeared to be advertising. I would suggest you read our info on writing your first article and how to write from a neutral point of view. You should also work on the article in a sandbox before the moving the article to the mainspace, as this will allow you to improve the article with worrying about deletion. TNXMan 14:14, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi there. You've just deleted 2, The Ranting Gryphon an article in which I was discussing the reasons for deletion with its creator. He was stating that one of the reasons it met WP:N was because the show was featured on RantMedia. I totally agree with your decision to delete of course, I was just wondering whether I should PROD RantMedia too. It does look like a bit of an advert in my opinion but I'm not very experienced in these things so I thought I'd ask your advice. ɪntəsvɛnsk 14:22, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- I would support either cleaning up the article (and boy, does it need it) or a PROD tag. As it stands, the article is basically a channel guide and none of the sources listed are independent (they're either from the company itself or supported artists). Let me know if you need help with anything regarding the article. Best, TNXMan 14:25, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've put a PROD tag on with the reason that it doesn't seem to meet WP:N in its current state and that none of the references are independent. It was created about six weeks ago there has been sufficient time for the author to find decent references but they can always argue their case if they need more time. Kind regards. ɪntəsvɛnsk 14:34, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Maria Mitchell Association page
Hello,
The reason for the deletion of this page was A7, meaning that the page does not indicate why the subject is important or significant. Being a non-profit organization, the goal of this page is not to advertise or to attract consumers, but rather to inform the general population about what we do and why Maria Mitchell was such an important woman in the history of astronomy and education. If you could please tell me what would need to be added or changed in order for the page to be posted I would greatly appreciate it.

ZMET
You deleted my page - I have put a lot of research and effort into it. I don't understand how is it unambiguous advertising and promotion. I am not even sure how to recreate it as you have provided no feedback and reading the articles published about this topic is not helpful either (I did check and read them before). Is it advertising because I list the only companies able to do ZMET? I can delete those references, no problem, but I thought that this was part of the essential info as ZMET cannot be used by just anyone (it is patented). Please help me, I would like to publish this correctly, thought I had, and am a bit at a loss. Thanks DeepMatters (talk) 20:09, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

I placed the tag on the user talk because it was made by a (if not already banned, soon to be banned) user who's been using multiple IP addresses to continue to be disruptive on Wikipedia. The individual did use that IP but did not leave the message as the IP on that page but as another one. The comment serves no purpose, and db-nonsense was the only tag that I could think of that would make sense.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 16:07, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm, I see where you're coming from. It also appears that the user has been rangeblocked for a couple of weeks. I'll go ahead and blank the page, since it doesn't really add anything to the site. TNXMan 16:12, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Review of revised "Still Water" page
Hi Tnxman,
I'm wondering if you had time to see the revisions I made, at your suggestion, to the Still Water page in my sandbox, as described in my post of 29 May. As mentioned in that post, I rewrote the entry using the {cite} syntax, explained that the projects mentioned in the original "Selected Press" section were Still Water projects, and added more potential external references to show notability.
I can understand if it might be too time-consuming for you to review these external links; would it be helpful if I put together a compilation of the excerpts describing Still Water (on a non-Wikipedia page, for example) so you don't have to pull them from the actual articles?
Thanks, as always, for your time.
Jon Ippolito (talk) 17:45, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'll review the article later this evening, unfortunately I don't have time right now. Best, TNXMan 20:22, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
- OK, I've looked over the article. I removed the external links that were in the body of the article. Also, be sure to integrate the material from the Selected Press into the article as references. For example, the first link talked about The Pool. You can use that source as reference material for section of the article that talks about the Pool, instead of keeping it in a separate section. The article is looking a lot better. TNXMan 13:52, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for this response. Just to make sure I'm on the right track regarding references from the press: are you suggesting to integrate the article references as in the following revised sentence? "ThoughtMesh and The Pool are meant to connect digital scholars and creators, and have been cited as possible means of evaluating academics working in new media [2]" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jon Ippolito (talk • contribs) 15:10, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- Exactly. Ideally, the info under "selected press" should be integrated into the article as references. This way readers will be able to see which statements are supported by which references. TNXMan 15:18, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- OK, in the latest revision I have moved all "Selected press" references inline using the <ref> syntax, and have moved all external links to Still Water urls to a section at the bottom. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for this page. (In addition, I wonder if you could help with a related question: I'd like to track changes in specific pages, but I can't find a page-specific "recent changes" feed anywhere. When I click on Firefox's RSS button in any Wikipedia page, I only get the generic recent changes feed. Any help on this appreciated too!) Thanks, TNXMan. Jon Ippolito (talk) 09:09, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- It looks much better now. I think you're ready to move it to the mainspace. The only minor quibble I have is with the external links. Usually, when dealing with a company, it's best to only have one link to an official website.
- As for the RSS, I'm sorry to say that I don't really know how Wikipedia handles it. You could ask at the help desk or at the computing reference desk. If I remember correctly, I think there are only some pages that have been set up with it, although I could be wrong. TNXMan 14:24, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- I've now re-created the Still Water page with the revised text. I also found via searching the FAQ (via the help desk link you suggested) that RSS for an individual page's changes can be found in the toolbox at left for the page's history section. I certainly would not have arrived at this stage without your detailed and informative advice, and I now appreciated the structure and reasoning behind Wikipedia pages much more. Thanks! Jon Ippolito (talk) 02:06, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- Glad to help. Don't forget, there are plenty of other articles out there that can be improved. You should stick around for a while and get to know Wikipedia even more. Best, TNXMan 02:24, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Trade Roots
Tnxman307,
I'm asking you again to please undelete my article titled "TradeRoots" you wrote that it was deleted because it is an advertisement. I assure you that when the article is rewritten it will contain no such use of any promotional writing, in fact, I am going to write the page again with the "sandbox" tool and submit it to and editor before the article is posted. Liebman
Thanks, man. :) The other two were obvious socks to me, because of the article he targeted (Whitey Ford, one of his pets), the change he always makes in that article (uncited claims about a different birthdate) and his typical edit summary comments about people here having an "agenda" (the agenda being to demand citations; what meanies we are!) I think in one of his edit summaries, he actually denied being Ron Liebman before even being turned in. That's another part of his M.O. And I'm sure anyone would deny being Liebman, but he's the only one that actually does. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots 18:36, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Rejected Gazebo F2F
Hi there and sorry i'm bothering you.
Your message was : "This suggestion doesn't sufficiently explain the importance or significance of the subject. [...] Please provide more information on why the web site is worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. Thank you."
First of all the intention was not to advertise any web site or follow any personal interests, but "advertise" a new, unique, Friend-to-Friend software, because there aren't many (search on wikipedia) on that topic. It is unique because it is the only one (by my knowledge) that treats the F2F setup completely. Moreover, the intention was to point the users that are interested in F2F networks, to that article(which somehow it seems you missed to spot at Sources) that appeared recently and which brings some new points of view and guidelines to the F2F model . Why should this concern you ? It shouldn't probably if you're not interested in the F2F model, but i don't think you know that wikipedia is the only source that provides information about the F2F networks/model. The second source is that article which ... it seems is not "worthy of inclusion" and lacks of "significance of the subject".
It is probably my fault because i didn't provide a more detailed description and for that i apologize, but i just wanted to know if it(the article) could at least be put at References right about here friend-to-friend.
Thanks and again, sorry for bothering you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SinapseNet (talk • contribs)
- A few things to note, which may help you write a better article. First, Wikipedia does not accept advertising of any kind. All articles must be written from a neutral point of view. Secondly, the article submission did not indicate why the software was notable (and thus worthy of inclusion). Finally, the sources you listed are not reliable. Reliable sources are published independently (by third parties) and provide in-depth coverage of the subject. TNXMan 18:43, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

- I'm sorry, but your article read like a CV/advertisement, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. The best approach is to simply state facts which are supported by reliable sources. Deletion of McMaster Engineering Society
I was wondering if you could explain why the page McMaster Engineering Society was deleted, aside from referencing CSD A7. I would argue that Wikipedia has pages for much smaller and less significant organizations, teams and clubs, and I was in the midst of filling in content, (as explained on the talk page) so that would have been evident had I been given time to do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mescommunications (talk • contribs) 15:21, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because it did not indicate why the organization was notable. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and supporting your article with independent reliable sources. The best idea would be to work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace (something like User:Mescommunications/Sandbox) before moving the article to the mainspace.
- Finally, two points. First, please read our info on conflict of interest and why Wikipedia discourages people from writing about topics with which they have a close connection. Secondly, articles are judged individually. If there are other articles with issues, they can be handled also, but they have no impact on what you are trying to write. This is referred to as an "other stuff" argument. TNXMan 15:33, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

- First of all, sorry for not getting back to you. I was called away in real life and missed your message when I came back. The page looks much better now. I do have a few suggestions. First of all, be sure to use the {{cite web}} template in your references (between the <ref> and </ref> tags). Secondly, I would really suggest removing the 10000 fans paragraph, as it is only tangentially related and comes across as advertising. TNXMan 19:02, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

- While I would like to write the article for you, I think there may be a better route. If you read the info on writing your first article, you can submit a draft of the article to the articles for creation page. There, it will be reviewed and you won't have to worry about it being deleted. You can also contact the person who did the review to get their advice. Of course, if you need advice or tips when writing the article, just let me know. TNXMan 03:06, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Paymenex Deletion
Hi, Could you tell me what could be done to reinstate Paymenex TransNet, because the project is a research result carried out in both University of Liverpool and University of East London and at the end, 3wsentry solution was discovered as a solution to card fraud on the internet. Do you think we could go straight to 3wsentry instead of talking about the Paymenex TransNET that implemented it? Please advice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.199.238 (talk) 17:03, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- In order to have an article, you must show why the company is notable. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and how to support your article with reliable sources. Also, it may be a good idea to work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace (assuming you have a user account). This will allow you to improve the article without worrying about deletion. SaleXperts = not a sales consulting company?
you eliminated the article because it has "nothing to do" with sales consulting, but it does! And many companies out there are looking for a sales consultant. And I was about to put the biography of a very remarkable man (SaleXpert's boss) that would have been suitable for an encyoclopedia.
Please respond. —Preceding unsigned comment added by AntilopeProductions (talk • contribs) 18:46, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, the page was deleted because it did not show why the company was notable. Before a company can have an article, it must demonstrate that. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, why Wikipedia does not allow advertising, and how to support your article with reliable sources. You may also want to work on the article in a sandbox (something like User:AntilopeProductions/Sandbox) before moving the article to the mainspace. TNXMan 13:45, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

Speedy re-creation!
Yesterday the redirect England Government, one of a number tagged by me which had been created by Mr Taz, was speedily deleted by you. Twenty four hours later, it reappears, the work of the same editor. This is not the first time he has done this with his highly original and misleading redirects (see his Talk page), about 80 of which I had speedily deleted a couple of months back. He also engages in edit wars to reinstate the indefensible, such as "national days" invented by him (see Talk:British Day) etc etc. His latest creations include Flag of Great Britain and Ireland as a redirect to Flag of the United Kingdom. I've got so tired of it that I now tend to let the purely nonsense or illiterate redirects such as Regional Development Agency for the Yorkshire and the Humber (redirected to Yorkshire Forward) pass by as I just don't have the time to keep up with it all. Other recent POV (not sure exactly what it is!) redirects include Great British Central Bank and Great Britain Central Bank (redirected to Bank of England), which for some reason were declined as speedies, although the admin, DGG, sympathised (see his Talk page). I should add that these redirects, together with minor edits, are all that Mr Taz "contributes" here. He just will not listen to reason. Something needs to be done about this; all he is doing is creating work for others who have to deal with his edits. Could you please look into this - and bear in mind that much of the worst has been deleted so isn't on his contributions log - and perhaps bring it to the attention of other admins here as well, to keep an eye on the situation? (I've also contacted two other admins, DGG and Bencherlite). Regards, Enaidmawr (talk) 00:01, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've deleted the redirects you've listed here, mainly because they make no sense. My suggestion is to take the paragraph above and post it to the admin's noticeboard. I do agree with you that these contributions are not helpful, but I hesitate to act unilaterally. A strong consensus, developed either an AN or a XfD discussion would be the best way to go. This would (hopefully) solve the problem that exists now, as well as any future developments. TNXMan 02:45, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for sparing the time to deal with some of these and for your advice. He just will not accept community consensus or indeed commonsense. One example today: despite having been banned for a week for his previous edits to it, he's done exactly the same thing today for one of his favourite non-existent "Days", so-called 'Foundation Day (United Kingdom)' aka 'Foundation Day (Great Britain)', as this edit shows. Ho-hum. Guess I'll follow your advice and take it to the admin's noticeboard. Enaidmawr (talk) 17:01, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Apparel Search removed
Why did you remove Apparel Search? It is a very legit company and article was clearly not written as spam. I thought the purpose of Wikipedia is for people to help "improve" upon listings and fine tune them to make them better. Not to simply delete them. CRC Article
Good Afternoon, Tnxman307. You may remember me from a month or two ago, i've been working on the CRC article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_Research_Centre_Canada. In the last day I've done a major overhaul of the article (I've been talking to Chowbok), however, as you pointed it out - would you please be able to take a look at the references for the article? I've spent quality time on getting solid third party references. Please let me know what you think, any feedback would be great! Cheers! Anandsrivastava2009 (talk) 19:26, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
You deleted Apparel Search
You just deleted a listing I created today for Apparel Search. Please explain in more detail why you deleted the listing. Companies are permitted to be listed on Wikipedia. It is fine line between informing people about a company and advertising. Look in the clothing company section of this site. I have personally read nearly all of them. The one I have listed for Apparel Search is no different in structure. I linked to a few "schools", to show that Apparel Search is recognized by educational institutions and linked to the New York City Library that does not just link to any company. Apparel Search is a very valid company and should be listed in the Encyclopedia. There are even many other listings on this site that link to Apparel Search as a source of information. If you go to Alexa you will see Apparel Search ranks in the top 40,000 sites in the world (that seams like high number, but their are alot of sites...). Anyway, rather then delete Apparel Search, I would greatly appreciate that you help improve the listing to standard rather then delete it entirely. If something in the page needs to be adjusted, lets do it. There is only one link to the Apparel Search site, and I think that is reasonable. Other listings link to external sites off wikipedia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.127.246.25 (talk) 23:11, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- I have already mentioned some good ways for you to get started in my reply to your inquiry above. I would add, however, that the existence and/or state of other articles has no bearing on your article. I really think the best idea is to work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace. This will allow you to improve it and solicit suggestions from other editors on how to make it better before moving it to the mainspace. TNXMan 02:21, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Analance Article
Hi Tnxman307. Could you please explain why my article Analance is tagged as proposed deletion and what can be done to suitably refine the article? thanks.

Vandalism G3 states: Pure vandalism. This includes blatant and obvious misinformation, redirects created by cleanup from page-move vandalism, and blatant hoaxes.
Rather than simply deleting an article because you unilaterally decide it doesn't belong, then incorrectly proclaiming it to be "pure vandalism" by the above definition, which it clearly is not. Perhaps you could start by opening a dialog of discussion, instead? Jamonterrell (talk) 16:01, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Specific Carbohydrate Diet
This is my first attempt at editing Wikipedia. I thought that the deletions were caused by a computer glitch and kept reinstating them. During my last edit, I only reinstated the info about the book by Prasad since that had been on the wiki's Specific Carbohydrate Diet entry for a long time. I want to apologize for these misunderstandings.
I want guidance as to how to make the Specific Carbohydrate Diet entry as reliable as possible. Previous contributors to this page did not provide good references so this page has lots of warnings such as "This article or section has multiple issues. Please help improve the article or discuss these issues on the talk page."
What can I do so that these warnings no longer appear. TYI

Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge
Good Day Tnxman307 I am new to wikipedia work but I have 30 years experience with encyclopedia entries. Recently I edited out some errors on two different entries. One was John A Roebling and the other was Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge. The editing on the former was accepted but the editing on the latter did not stick. I tried to follow the rules as closely as I could. My only motive is accuracy. The latter (N.F.S.B.) is a spectacular entry, extremely well-crafted, one of the best I've seen in wikipedia. I see it has been peer-reviewed in 2008. Can you coach me about this? Why would my editing not stick?Jaxmrclean (talk) 11:41, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- I remember you asking about this on the help desk. I'm not sure why your editing did not stick. A list of all the contributions you have made using this account can be found here. A good way to test what is happening is to make a dummy edit to the page. Just add a space at the end of a paragraph or some other unnoticeable change and try to save the page. If it saves, then you're good to go. If not, let me know and we can go from there. Best, TNXMan 11:46, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I've given it a week before requesting this since you last contacted me. I'd like another shot at having my talk page completely unprotected. let's delete GetPlus Transfer Manager
Hi, I'm new at Patrolling New Pages. You edited GetPlus Transfer Manager at least once, and there was a speedy deletion decline. Doesn't it seem worthy of AfD? Petershank (talk) 05:14, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- It does now. At the time I declined the speedy, the parent company also had an article. My rationale was that if the company was notable, then the software might be too. However, before you nominate it, have you been able to find any reliable sources that support its inclusion? TNXMan 13:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've not searched for sources. In fact, I was thrown for a loop when I found an essay asserting that it should be my responsibility to search for sources for somebody else's unreferenced article (if I want to move it toward deletion). I'm rather lost among the many descriptions and guidelines and parameters for the various methods for deletion/discussion/etc. Is it the consensus that the burden is on me to work on the article before I take any action? Thanks for the help. Petershank (talk) 05:17, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- The policy and practice are a little different. You should at least take a glance to see if there are any reliable sources that support the article, however, in many cases this is not done. No one will stop you if you bring the article straight to AfD, though. I recommend looking yourself just as a way of covering your bases. I was kind of embarrassed once when I brought an article to AfD and someone pointed out three reliable sources that were on the first page of Google results. TNXMan 11:45, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

I started doing a page for Sun Radio Network and shortly after I was blocked by you because of conflicts of interest. You asked me to make a new username and send you a message on talk page. I would like to change my current name Sun Press to Sun Radio Network so that I can start that page for my company.

- I'm glad you've posted a message here. One of the reasons that I've asked you to post here is so that I can offer you some links that will help you. Wikipedia strongly discourages people from writing articles where they may have a conflict of interest. There is a page that outlines the best practices if you do have a COI, which you can read here. I would also encourage you read our info on writing your first article. Finally, the best idea may to be to submit the article to the articles for creation page, where other editors can look over the page and offer tips. TNXMan 14:26, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

Unblocking
Hey there:
I read all the links you sent me and they were really helpful- thank you. I was able to make the article according to the guidelines this time. But I do have another concern; unblocking the user "Sun Radio Network" The page was cleared of all the COIs and references were added this time. Since I am on a company server there might also be the problem with the IP address usage, which I read is another reason why it was blocked. I'd really appreciate if you could get back to me with what I can do if it hasn't been done yet so that the name can be unblocked. Thanks again for taking your time to read this. Sun Press (talk) 20:37, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
- You shouldn't have to worry about your IP address being blocked - since you are editing under a new username, it should be OK. Also, I don't see why the old username should be unblocked, since you are using a new name. With your new account, you can work on an article in your userspace (using a sandbox, something like User:Sun Press/Sandbox). If you're not clear about the block of your old username or what you can/cannot do with your new username, just let me know. TNXMan 21:27, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Alright got it. So what are my limitations as far as the other username? And one last question, how long does it usually take after the article is posted for it to be search able? Does it have to meet certain criterias beforehand? Or is not search able because it is blocked?
Thanks again!Sun Press (talk) 13:18, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well, just like the old name, you are discouraged from writing about articles where you have a conflict of interest. Beyond that, you are free to edit any of the articles on Wikipedia and add any well-sources knowledge you may have. You can submit your article at articles for creation and if it is accepted and moved the mainspace, it will show up right away. However, if you mean "searchable on Google" or another search engine, that depends on their indexing of Wikipedia. TNXMan 13:32, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi there,
I hope that you will not mind; I removed your reply on the helpdesk in Wikipedia:Help desk#Photo Removal.2FReplacement, with this edit.
This is because, whilst you were typing it, I tracked down the copyright image, and an admin kindly deleted it. I thought that removing your reply would make mine clearer to that user.
Hope this is OK; I don't normally removing other peoples messages - but I realize that we were both trying to help the end-user, so I'm hoping you will approve. Cheers, Chzz ► 16:34, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey
Could you explain why have you deleted article about band Open Season? It was their official biography + discography and list of nitable gigs they had, with a link to the source. How does that fit into A7? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Landigod (talk • contribs) 10:52, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- The page was deleted for two reasons - first, it did not indicate why the band was notable and secondly, the page was also blatant advertising. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, how to write from a neutral point of view, and what makes a reliable source. After you've read those, you may want to work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace (something like User:Landigod/Sandbox) before moving it to the mainspace. This will allow you to improve it to encyclopedic standards without fear of deletion. TNXMan 11:46, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of article WirrWahr
Hi! You deleted the article WirrWahr because it was not a noticable band (for the english wikipedia). This is partly true, for this band didn't have international gigs, yet. As it is now playing in the Netherlands and will play in England next spring, I think there is at least some need for an international (though an english) version of the bands wikipedia entry. If you share my appraisal, I'd be glad if you'd undelete this article. Greetz —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harpfari (talk • contribs) 11:17, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the fast response. So a reason for deletion is not the importance of the band, but the article itself? I only translated the german version of this article and made no further changes. As the german version fitted the (german) encyclopedic standards I thought the english version would so, too. Do you have special passages that particularily not fit wikipedia's standards? Then I would adjust these passages. Therefore it would be nice if I could somehow regain the source text of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harpfari (talk • contribs) 12:31, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
Even after my contesting for the article, wiki deleted it. I think i followed each and every guidelines. Proper referencing and linking. So where did the problem come of promotion? Even now my "deletion contested" page is not visible. If I would write why it is unique then you guys would say that I am doing promotion. Librarywala is first online book library which works as Netflix. They deliver the books to you home and again take it back once you gave read it. They allow you to select books online. I am against book piracy and so such companies are helping all book lovers to rent the original books. Please restore my page and send me the changes which i need to make. If you write a draft that is neutral and well sourced, then an admin can review it before moving it to the mainspace. TNXMan 11:50, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Help with AFC
Hi, Tnxman307. I see you are pretty active at WP:AFC so I think you can help me with this. If there are some minor problems with a submitted article (for example, violations of WP:NPOV or written like an advert) do we fix them or decline the article anyway? WP:AFCR gives me the impression that we leave corrections to the people who submit it an do only the reviewing without any corrections. ≈ Chamal talk 10:45, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think there's a hard and fast rule either way. I'll usually clean up a submission's grammar, punctuation, and other minor things, but leave major edits to the submitter. I think however, if you asked three other reviewers, you'd get three different answers. I'm glad you're interested, we can always use more reviewers! TNXMan 14:25, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for the help :) ≈ Chamal talk 14:34, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Adding a category
Hey there once again, I have another question. I tried adding the category link at the bottom of my article with this template Category: "Category Name" but it is still not showing as how a category should. I read the category article explaining it and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Could you help me out? Thanks again for your time. Sun Press (talk) 14:11, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- It's because you put a leading colon in the category name. You put [[:Category:American radio networks]], when it should have been [[Category:American radio networks]]. The leading colon allows the category to display as a link (like so, Category:American radio networks), whereas leaving the colon out adds the page to the category. TNXMan 14:19, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Heads up
Just a heads up... You followed through on my speedy deletion of Dongbu Life, so I marked similar pages for deletion. Those were contested by User:DAJF, we talked about it User_talk:DAJF#Reversal_of_speedy_deletion, and so I started an AfD for the CJ Group group of articles here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CJ Group. I'm kinda new to this stuff, so I hope I've done everything properly (still learning!). Since you're the one that deleted the Dongbu Life originally, I thought you might want to weigh in on this discussion too. (And, just for the record, I start all this by doing Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Korea#Collection_of_articles_that_is_not_notable, but nobody replied/contested.) --DanielPharos (talk) 09:57, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- You've done everything correctly, it appears. My suggestion would be to merge any appropriate content to the CJ Group article and turn the other headers into redirects. I don't think there is enough info to support full articles for the others. If you have questions or need help, just let me know! TNXMan 11:48, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

- Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately, I'm not in a place I can monitor IRC very easily. If I do get spare time (probably on the weekends), I'll drop in. TNXMan 19:37, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe it would be better to direct people to the general wikipedia-en-help channel as there are always people monitoring that one. I'm not sure how whether we'd be able to cover a specific afc one. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 10:57, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
School of Earth and Space Exploration
Why was the page for the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University deleted? Like the other schools listed on ASU's Wikipedia page, our school also wanted a page (Engineering, the Law School, Cronkite journalism, etc. all have a Wikipedia page). removal of links at JS Bach
Hi, I agree with most of the removals (they need a regular clean-out), but two I'm not so sure about: Aryeh Oran has run quite a few good Bach sites; is that one on the cantatas not worthy of listing? The YouTube one isn't copyright, since the uploader is the performer and owns the visual concept—I checked with him. diff. Tony (talk) 16:49, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Please feel free to reinstate any links you think are appropriate. I glanced through the links and didn't spend a lot of time at each of the sites (sorry). Please accept my apologies if I lumped in some good links with the bad ones. TNXMan 16:53, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Moving a Special User Page to a regular Article Page, Link from disambiguous Page, Redirecting a word that has been Redirected by someone else.
Hello, thanks for your help. I've already requested the help of an administrator, but now I can't find where I did that to delete it and have you help me instead, so here goes anyway:
My article is in a special user page User:Nanmwls/Redshirting (Academic). I want to 1. Change Name/Move to just "Redshirt(Academic)" in other words, make it a regular article page because I think it's ready (Oh you DO, do you?) :) 2. After the name change/move, I'd like to re-establish my link from the disambiguous page "Redshirt" (you can see my red link there under the heading "Other", but it now does not link to my User:Namwls... page. This is how I found you, you deleted it, probably because it was listed as "unusual redirect". Is that right? 3. Re-direct the word "Redshirting" to the Disambiguous Page or my new Article Page once it is moved. (The word Redshirting is currently being redirected to "Redshirt (College Sports)", but that appears to be just a redirecting of the verb of the original term "Redshirt" to their page. The term Redshirting is the primary term used to describe my topic, but I think my topic should remain on the disambiguous page under "Redshirt (Academic)" with a link to my page AND the term "Redshirting" should be directed to either the disambiguous page or my page. Can you help me figure out whether I should do that and how?
Thanks for all your help.
Nanmwls (talk) 20:18, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- The first step is to get the article fixed up. It's really close as it stands. As ukexpat mentioned on the help page, the "Suggestions for Parents" and "Conclusions" really should be removed, as the material isn't very encyclopedic. The rest of the article looks OK, but you'll need to clean up citations. The citations are OK for an academic paper, but Wikipedia does its cites a little differently. Take a look at this page for more info (specifically, integrating references into inline citations using <ref> tags). Once you get the article fixed up, we can look at moving the page and redirects. If you have questions, let me know! TNXMan 20:53, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll get right on it Nanmwls (talk) 21:05, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
TnXman307, I've cleaned it up per your suggestions, can you take another look at it for me? Thanks! Nanmwls (talk) 18:17, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- It looks good to go. The only thing left is to remove the notes section at the bottom. Wikipedia can't give author credit the way you have it listed, since all contributions here are released under this license. Once that's done, you can go ahead and move the page. Let me know if you have questions. TNXMan 13:31, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- Do you mean remove all of the notes language or just the part where ERIC Digest releases the original article as "public domain"? Maybe I can just re-word it, I'd like to show that the original article was public domain and that the original author was Lillian G. Katz. Is there a way to do that? Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. Nanmwls (talk) 15:26, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I changed the wording and took a lot of the notes out to see if it would be acceptable now in your view. Thanks for all the assistance. Nanmwls (talk) 15:43, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I could also change that information to a reference. Please advise. Nanmwls (talk) 15:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- The best way to do this is to cite Katz as a reference for the research she did. You can cite the PDF that you currently list at the bottom of the article. This will ensure Katz receives credit and avoids a simple republication of the article. TNXMan 16:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I could also change that information to a reference. Please advise. Nanmwls (talk) 15:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks! I'm on it. Nanmwls (talk) 17:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Done, fixed reference and moved article to Redshirt(Academic)! Yay! Now the only thing left is whether or how to finesse the redirecting of the established redirect of the word "redshirting". Any suggestions? Nanmwls (talk) 17:25, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've fixed the article up some. The next step is to format the references. I've done one for you, using the {{cite journal}} template. This template takes all the info you already listed and formats it nicely. I've also added a note to the top of the page and moved the page to Redshirting (academic) (lower case "a"). TNXMan 18:06, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I see the reference info, I will read it and make those changes as soon as I can (probably tomorrow). Thanks again for all your help!! :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nanmwls (talk • contribs) 18:18, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi again, I think I fixed those pesky cites and now am left with my one final item: When searching "redshirting" in Wikipedia it still goes to "Redshirt (college sports)", even when searching in Google, that article pops up but not mine. Not to belabor (sp?) the point, but would it be a horrible idea to change the "redshirting" redirect to the disambiguous page "Redshirt" (which is where I think it should go) or to my page "Redshirting (academic)"? Thank you for your patience with moi. Nanmwls (talk) 01:53, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've changed the redirect, so that Redshirting now points to Redshirt. I think that should about wrap it up, unless I missed something? TNXMan 16:13, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi
I've tried loading up an article about REN Skincare and it has been removed siting 15:21, 19 May 2009 Tnxman307 (talk | contribs) deleted "Ren skincare" (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion).
I tried to be neutral but I must admit I am a novice to Wikipedia and find the article submission complex. Can you help me? I'd like to post something like:
"REN Ltd is a London based manufacturer and marketer of skin care products. REN’s products are advertised as free from skin-unfriendly ingredients such as synthetic fragrance and colours, petrochemicals, propylene glycol, animal ingredients, PEGS, TEA/DEA, sulfates, silicones and parabens. They refer to their concept as ‘Clean Bio Active Skincare’.
REN was founded in 2000 by Antony Buck and Robert Calcraft and is an independent company. Their products are produced in the UK and distributed internationally, currently present in over 40 countries worldwide.
REN’s skincare products are unisex and their range covers both face and body care products."
Hope you can help.

Hey there, I've noticed you deleted my recent Loopthing page, but the page was now quoting a newspaper. The article is slightly different than previous version. Jeromakay (talk) 11:50, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
- You are correct, in that it has even less references than before. Please stop re-creating this article in the mainspace and work on the article in a sandbox first. TNXMan 11:55, 14 August 2009 (UTC)

Why did you delete WBCN?
WBCN is still an active station on HD Radio. Why did you delete the page? It needed some cleaning up, the change happened fast, but you didn't have any right to delete it.
- It was marked for deletion because it was holding up a page move. See WP:CSD#G6. TNXMan 17:20, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Then you should have moved it as well. You basically erased an important part of Boston music history. I know to people who aren't from the area, you wouldn't know that, but to us it's a big deal. Could you find a way to bring it back?
Removal of Fiveways Facebook Link from Mooroolbark page
Why? Did it explicitly breach some Wiki rule?
I live in Mooroolbark. Have for years. I like the place, but I'll admit there's nothing all that special about it. The Fiveways roundabout is one of the few things non-residents mention that they remember about visiting or passing through Mooroolbark when the name of the place comes up. It's one of the few things that makes Mooroolbark special. The existence of the Facebook page reflects one of the few significant things about the suburb. I saw the new link and thought it made good sense.
PS: I had nothing to do with adding the link. No idea who the poster was. As a keen but "still learning the ropes" Wikipedia user, I'm just trying to get my head around what's OK and what's not. Roblowe48 (talk) 23:20, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, in general, Facebook links are frowned upon. However, if there is significant independent coverage in reliable sources, please feel free to list it in the article. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about adding the material. TNXMan 05:02, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
Current big batch of AFCs
Hiya,
There are lots of AFCs all from one IP, all sourced from one single book; there are some issues of concern that affect all of them. Right now, we are tagging them and creating some area where we can discuss the overall situation with the creator - therefore, for now, please don't process any more that have been submitted by 72.74.226.239 (talk · contribs).
We'll put notes on the top; working on that now. Cheers! Chzz ► 14:37, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- I saw the note you left for the IP after I created that one, so I stopped. FWIW, this person has been around for a while and seems to work in waves. I've created several of their articles over the past few months. Cheers, TNXMan 14:41, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, cheers. The articles are mostly good, but there are some concerns over sourcing and language. The one you created actually did look pretty good to me, but we thought it best to address the issues in one lump, before turning to examine each one for creation. "We" being myself and
Earwig (talk · contribs)(redacted, sorry, wrong one) The Earwig (talk · contribs); we were both frantically trying to tag 'em and sort things out :-) So, now, please see Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/batch, where we intend to discuss the articles as a whole. Many thanks, Chzz ► 15:00, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

- OK, two things;
- 1. Would you object to us undoing your move to the live area of that one article - just so we can keep everything in one place, one discussion, until we resolve the issues on that discussion page? I don't want to undo your creation without your being OK with it.
- 2. Perhaps it would be better if you could join us in the live chat to discuss this; you can get there with this thing Chzz ► 15:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Feel free to move the page back if necessary. Unfortunately, I can't really monitor IRC from here (I have to jump back and forth between WP and looking productive). However, if you need to help with any of the page moves or anything else, just let me know. TNXMan 15:33, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- All neat and tidy; thanks for that. Discussions ongoing, hopefully we can help fix up the concerns and make 'em all soonest. Thx for the cooperation, top stuff. Chzz ► 15:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem and thanks to you and Earwig for working on them! TNXMan 16:12, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- As of now, we're working through them - several people making notes on some articles. If you could help, it'd be great. As you can't get on IRC, in case you can help out, I will 'set aside' some articles for you at random - to avoid EC;
- Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/DeAutremont Brothers
- Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Denver Mint Robbery
- Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Eddie Bentz
We'll take note that those are set-aside, so that if you can work on them, you won't have ECs.
In Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/batch there is an L3 section for each article in the ==Details== section. If you have a little time, please read it, and comment in the L3 section. We're looking at the usual stuff; NPOV, weasel, and anything else you object to.
If you can't, don't have time, no worries. I'll leave those ones free for the next 2 hours in case you can help out. Cheers!

Deletion of Cherry Credits Article
Hello,
I will like to query as to why Cherry Credits article was deleted after one year of it's existence on Wikipedia. The page serves to provide corporate information.
Please contact me via <blanked>
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.12.134.130 (talk) 04:47, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article appeared to be advertising for the company and was not supported by reliable sources. Please remember that articles are here to provide encyclopedic info on subjects, not to provide corporate information. You may want to read our info on writing your first article, as that may have some useful tips for you. TNXMan 13:50, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
Basically the article serves to provide information on what is Cherry Credits. If the format is deemed to be written in an advertising manner, I would appreciate if there is some form of notice rather than plain outright deletion.
Ironically, the Cherry Credits article has its format and content modeled to align with similar Wikipedia articles such as the following:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOL_AccessPortal http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AsiaSoft
...Yet these articles are deemed acceptable.
If indeed Cherry Credits article has infringe on what is deemed as advertising in nature and/or providing corporate information, I will suggest that you look into the above articles as well.
If the above articles qualify by your moderation to be acceptable, and Cherry Credits article to be not, then there certainly must be bias objective involved. The format and content style are mirrored.
I hope you will review based on the supporting pointers and note the comparison to the above mentioned. Much appreciated for your advice.
- Well, first of all, the status one or more other articles has no bearing on another article. That sort of argument is known as "other stuff exists". Each article is addressed on an individual basis. Secondly, I would encourage you to read our info on writing neutrally, using reliable sources to support your article, and what makes a company notable. TNXMan 17:31, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
I believe my reference to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOL_AccessPortal has bearings for contesting the deletion of Cherry Credits article. That is if you have reviewed the content and information on the MOLAccessPortal and compared it to Cherry Credits article. Both service the same business sector with different achievements, history and information. The format in which are information are presented are mirrored.
Hence if one should qualify, has existing links to its company page & information; and Cherry Credits article do not have links to their company's web page, why should the Cherry Credits article be deemed as advertising and this not?
I will like to suggest that you do an active comparison to see how similar both articles are crafted. This will be the lithium test identify if there is double standard moderation.
If this is an honest mistake, I will appreciate if you can revive the Cherry Credits article and I can make amendments on it thereafter if the basis for deletion is lack of supporting resources.
If you standby that the Cherry Credits article is viable for deletion due to advertising, then I suggest you review the other mentioned articles and subject them to your same moderation criteria. However if they are deemed acceptable, I will proceed to re-create Cherry Credits article in similar fashion to them.
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.15.85.60 (talk) 01:45, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Blocking of IP 81.193.86.122
This is one of the worst examples of biting the noob I've ever come across. This IP, as it noted in its edit summaries, was simply going around correcting a single image which said in its metadata:
- This file has been superseded by File:Flag United Kingdom Portugal Brazil Algarves.svg.
- It is recommended that the other file be used.
- See this metadata template at Commons, in the form of {{Superseded|Flag United Kingdom Portugal Brazil Algarves.svg}}
He was noting this in his edit summaries, but nonetheless was reverted as "unconstructive," by editors who didn't appear to background check his justification and went across the board and reverted all his edits. Then he was blocked when he reverted again (while explaining in his edit summaries...). I reverted one back to the proper image before I realized the extent of this little "kafuffle;" before noticing he was reverted across the board and then blocked. I don't know if I'm going to bother going and fixing all his edits, I commented on the talk pages of the two users who reverted him (who apparently didn't even display a modicum of AGF, plus neglected a few other policies), stating they should at least apologize on the IP's talk page (he may never come back though), and fix the edits they reverted. An unblock and an apology would be in line, I think.
- Thanks for your time and consideration, Peace and Passion ("I'm listening....") 00:11, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
- PS I should qualify that I misread slightly this issue. One IP was blocked and reverted (User:81.193.93.130), the other noted all of his edits and was reverted across the board. Sorry for the miscommunication.

Hi. Someone contested the deletion after the page was deleted. Should the article be restored now and a discussion started or an undeletion discussion started or that page deleted? A talk page without a page can't be, right? Hekerui (talk) 14:41, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've deleted the talk page per WP:CSD#G8. Thanks for the heads up! TNXMan 15:04, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I had a talk with editor Jclemens yesterday regarding the content of the page. I informed him that this content was a citation of the award which Dr. Gujar had got. I am his grandson and can vouch that it does not infringe on any copyrights. He said I could go ahead and put the article back again with some changes. I have rephrased the original article and added some more information which was not present earlier. As far as advertising goes, I do not see how writing an article on a man who is no more with us qualifies as advertising ? The article just states facts and the awards he has won. (Hadapsar (talk) 14:48, 27 August 2009 (UTC))
- I'm sorry, but sentences like "He was a rare example of how a modest medical man with his untiring efforts, sincerity of purpose and above all strong will power can become true missionary of integral rural development and serve the people." really have no place in an encyclopedia. I would encourage you to read our info on writing from a neutral point of view and our tips on writing your first article. TNXMan 15:06, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Specific Carbohydrate diet - Links to official websites removed as spam
19:52, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Pmb4 (talk)
Hi Tnxman307,
I updated the the external links on the entry for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet yesterday with two links for websites that contain additional information and resources. You have since removed them as spam. I think they should be left on there, much as a link to the Atkins Diet homepage appears on the entry for Atkins Diet etc. What was the reason for removing those links? Thanks, pmb4 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pmb4 (talk • contribs) 20:56, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- The links appeared to be links that are not allowed by Wikipedia policy, specifically point one "Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article". Also, the link about children would probably be better placed in the Autism article. TNXMan 16:14, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
As stated in the policy directly above point one, "Except for a link to an official page of the article's subject". The link to breakingtheviciouscycle.info that you removed was to the official site. Beyond that it provides resources such as a Beginners Guide, Knowledge Base, Legal / Illegal foods list, Links to Doctors and Support Groups that are not included in the Wikipedia entry.
Pecanbread.com is a site strictly about the SCD that is geared toward parents who's children have Autism and or GI problems. It also provides unique resouces such as contacts for SCD counselors, suggestions on how to succeed with the diet, links to SCD research articles. An entire chapter from the book "Breaking the Viscious Cycle" on SCD and Autism is posted as well. The link is specific to the SCD diet but it's not a bad idea to put it on the entry for Autism also. Thanks!Pmb4 (talk) 20:37, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I haven't heard back on this. Is there any problem with me putting the links back up? Thanks Pmb4 (talk) 18:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

- No problem, happy to help. TNXMan 03:05, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks and hi
Thanks for blocking that account. Does the block ban the ip address as well? From experience Mwalla will just create account after account after account if not. I think one of the ips was only blocked for 3 or 6 months and the ban has expired, so he is back now.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 18:38, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
He is also using these usernames, User:Abcdohrayme and User:Punctuallylate.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 18:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. If you're referring to Neurofish, I only declined his unblock request (no reason for unblocking provided). I'm not very familiar with Mwalla and his/her edits. What leads you to believe the other two editors are connected? TNXMan 18:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I know because of behavioural evidence, editing patterns, how they know words like NPOV and other things, they act like established editors when they are new, they edit war over the sam content and all 3 accounts appeared out of no where with the same POV, misrepresenting refs, same disruptive tactics on paroxetine article. I can usually spot Mwalla on his first edit LOL, this has been going on for over a year now. You could get a bit off history of the issue by reading the sockpuppet archive if you are interested.Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Mwalla/Archive Blocking hiis other accounts might help but I really need the ip addresses listed in the sockpuppet investigation archive reblocked as he has a habit of churning out multiple accounts in a very short period of time. His ip block has expired that tiptoey gave. It is a shame that tiptoey is no longer a checkuser as tiptoey was familar with the case and used to just approve checkuser pretty much straight away due to the persistence of Mwalla and severity of sockpuppetry.--Literaturegeek | T@1k? 19:02, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. Well, I understand that you're familiar with the situation (trust me, there's another user with whom I am familiar enough to spot a mile away), but I don't feel comfortable enough with the behavior/patterns to hand out blocks. Sorry. :( You may want to file a checkuser request, though. TNXMan 19:33, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
