Hi Theroadislong, I've updated my user page. It is indeed I'm trying to add my company profile to wikipedia and I'm quite new to this too. Is there anything more I can do to get my article approved? Thank you very much. - TungTa91293 (talk) 11:49, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
Field Ready
Hi, you very quickly reverted my edit on Field Ready. I removed the AfC tag as I recently learned that the AfC process is optional for editors and that I am allowed to move into main space myslf if I think it meets policy. As I beleive I adress origianl feedback (from you) then I was about to do that. However, if your revert is an indication that you don't agree, then I will take a different path (probably leave it in AfC, or abandon depending on your reply)
Can I clarify: were you just reverting on a point of order/process, or should I take this as a signal that you do not think it is currently ready for the main space? CT55555 (talk) 16:39, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- Your draft Draft:Field Ready will require an admin to accept as the target page Field Ready is protected. Theroadislong (talk) 16:45, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- What does that mean? Does it mean I did something wrong, or that someone tried to create the page before me? Also, sorry, I'm still a bit confused if you're suggesting I'm doing it wrong, if the article is ready for main, or it this just means there is a tick-box I need to go to get this on main CT55555 (talk) 16:50, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- You have done nothing wrong. The article has been repeatedly repeatedly recreated {as blatant advertising) in the past so the title was protected in order to stop that, an admin would need to accept it. Theroadislong (talk) 16:55, 29 December 2021 (UTC)

User:UKEducator/sandbox: Mavis Bacca Dowden draft
Hi,
Thanks for your comment on my draft. I fully understand the imperative of keeping out fringe topics / cranks / and items of little public value. I was motivated to prepare this draft after finding an article on Mavis Bacca Dowden in the Catalan Wikipedia: https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavis_Bacca_Dowden
I thought that this might indicate there would be space for an aricle about her in her native tongue.
best regards.
PS I could not figure out how to change the draft title from User:UKEducator/sandbox to Mavis Bacca Dowden UKEducator (talk) 18:19, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
I recently published an article and was not accepted by your side.
Hi, My name is Hassan and I recently published an article for an organization page. I have added numerous references. I followed some of the Wikipedia pages (related to my niche) that gave similar references from some blogs and I have more authentic references than them. well, my question is, can you please identify specifically which things is not up to the mark as per your policy. like, which reference is not good, or is there some content section that is not good enough.
You mentioned that "blogs are rarely considered reliable sources" but these are the references that I saw on some other wiki pages of our niche. e.g. https://www.informationweek.com/government/tineye-image-search-finds-copyright-infringers http://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/index.php?/archives/432-Looks-Like-It.html

Hi. my article on canadian chamber of commerce middle east was declined by you stating it looks more like an advertisement. I have edited and modified more and again this was the reason stated. I would want to know if at all its possible please let me know which part looks like an advertisement so that i could understand more before submitting. I have glanced similar articles and now I am stuck with this point. Please help. it would be great at least if you say which topic looks like an advertisement. Please help. - Re:Draft:Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Middle East Wikipedia is NOT for merely providing information. A Wikipedia article about an organisation must summarise what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about them, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a [[WP:NORG|notable organisation], your draft has a large amount of unsourced content. Neal Fraser Article
Hello,
I appreciate your feedback on my article and would love advice on how to improve the sources. Instead of IMDB would I be able to cite the Food Network website or another Wikipedia page that references Neal Fraser's television appearances? Additionally would the following sources be considered problematic secondary sources as well - LAist, Modern Adventure, Garrett Leight, LA Downtowner, Bravo TV? I'd love to know which of the sources are problematic so I can find alternatives and edit the article accordingly.

Question about rejected page on Alessandro Grego
Hello
The page on Alessandro Grego was rejected with the reason "too much unsourced content, where did it come from? Please cite all content". Can you help me to understand the rejection? The content has several references (16 sources). What am I missing? Shortening the article, leaving only a few referenced items would do? There are no other primary sources available. Any hint on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Cormarer (talk) 22:52, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

I did not use any link from reprints of that news. Please consider the submission. I am trying to contribute to the platform with missing profiles of Bangladeshi businessmen. Please approve the page. If this person will be featured or I can find other authentic links, I can add them later. Please reconsider the page. Hi, thanks for reviewing our page. First time I have written so very new to this.
The main commonwealth games link has a video where I talk about the design for several minutes. Is there a better way to refer to that? I appreciate the text isn't that in-depth.
I have a few more pages to reference, are these any more suitable rather than passing references?

Need help on: Submission declined
hi i recently created a page which got declined by you and had two comments as follwing.
1. is submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
2. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion on Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
I have updated reference links and i don't understand why it is appearing as an advertisement. Can you please help me on this, what should I change to get this page published? Ar.S.Anand Kumar (talk) 09:38, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
- Re: Draft:Papni School of Architecture In order for an article’s subject to be considered notable by the Wikipedia community, we require that it receive significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject this is what you base an article on. Your draft has a single source, that of the institution itself, we have no interest in what they say about themselves. Theroadislong (talk) 09:42, 7 January 2022 (UTC)

Climate-ADAPT page
Dear Theroadislong, thank you again for your comment to my article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:European_Climate_Adaptation_Platform_Climate-ADAPT). I would like to ask you a question, please: - You wrote that "Content like "Web links guide users to resources in English as well as external sources of information." is entirely promotional. As this is something that I describe in a neutral and objective way, by looking at the platform, is this incorrect? If so, does any neutral description of the Climate-ADAPT platform (i.e.: its structure) not acceptable? For example, if I look at pages like this one (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avibase), I see a description of the content of the database, without any specific reference. Could you please help me understand where the difference lies? - You wrote "Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic". As the importance of Climate-ADAPT as a knowledge sharing platform is mentioned in the Adaptation Strategy of the European Commission, isn't this a reliable source? Furthermore, aren't the references from the books and peer-reviewed articles from scientific journals that I have included reliable enough? If not, could you please help me understand what is missing or what a reliable source could be? - You also wrote "Please also review conflict of interest.". However, I have already disclosed all the necessary information about my profile and contribution. Below your comment, you can see that it is mentioned that "This article contains paid contributions.". - Also, the language is very neutral, partially based on the simple description of the platform (i.e.: menu items) and partially taken from books, articles and official documents issued by European Institutions. May I kindly ask you to advice more specifically on the points above? Any additional hint would be extremely appreciated. Thank you so much in advance! Chiaramzztt (talk) 15:48, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- I suggest you submit the draft for review I will not review it, but let others take a look. Paid editing will be VERY heavily scrutinised. The fact that other similar articles exist is not a good argument. Theroadislong (talk) 16:02, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you Theroadislong, I will do so and see what additional feedback I get. My reference to the other article was meant to simply understand relevant difference, so that I could improve my article and make it compliant with the rules. I just want to make sure the article meets Wikipedia's criteria. Thank you very much for your advice! Chiaramzztt (talk) 08:53, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
Reason for my article to get declined
Hello,
My article, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Vayam got declined by you. This is a multiple award winning film . I had mentioned the OTT links of the film as well as the newspaper articles as well as the award website links of the movie. Since, I am new to this , Kindly let me know what changes i can make in it for it to get accepted.
Also, in the comments section, you have mentioned, undisclosed paid editing needs to be addressed. Kindly explain to me what it means and how to sort it out ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NilayMitash1986 (talk • contribs) 21:22, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Okay. These awards are reputable awards. Will it be enough if i attach newspaper articles of reputed newspaper like TimesOfIndia mentioning the name of these awards? All Tiny Creatures page
what exactly is wrong with this page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:All_Tiny_Creatures
It has 7 citations from some of the most credible music magazines that exist (Stereogum, Pitchfork, SPIN, The AV Club) and cross references to members being in some of the literal biggest bands that exist (Bon Iver).
Please tell me what I could possibly do to make it more "credible"?
---Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.215.125.29 (talk) 23:35, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Firstly you appear to have a conflict of interest being a band member, albeit you are editing now whilst logged ogged. The draft Draft:All Tiny Creatures does not show how the band meets WP:NBAND, the fact that two members went on to play in notable bands is irrelevant. I don't know if this is a proper place to discuss the item but to me, from the information available, it seems so. Please correct me if I am wrong.
first, this was written on my sandbox and I only published to save my work. I am a brand new user and don't know how all this stuff is supposed to work.
second, there is a Spanish version on the exact same topic in Wikipedia. This subject is so new there is not much information about it.
third, thanks for your quick review in light of the circumstances. in regards to COI I am a beta tester and thought it would warrant a nice article about the game to this point
Benwah the magnificent (talk) 23:37, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- You say "This subject is so new there is not much information about it." Wikipedia is not the place to tell the world about new things, Wikipedia only reports on what reliable sources say about a topic. Sources need to be in depth and significant coverage not mere mentions. Theroadislong (talk) 07:28, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Draft:Lost_on_You_Music
Hi, if what you do Lost on You does Draft:Lost_on_You_Music doesn't have enough notability for you, then you are a very bad person.
- I didn't comment on notability, I declined the draft because it appeared to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Theroadislong (talk) 10:48, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Theroadislong The sources cited are the best electronic music magazines in the world. The moderators should have a little more information before making a review of a particular article, way too many mediocre people on Wikipedia taking decisions... And it doesn't feel like an advertisement at ALL, it actually says very little about Lost on You's charitable work, it's just that when it comes to helping people in need, to being kind, no one really cares. If we are going to talk about advertisements, I suggest you take a look at this one. Diynamic and it's just one example of the amount of junk content on Wikipedia.
I am very sorry but I do not agree with your decision at all. Zero objectivity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andrzej Rybkiewicz (talk • contribs) 11:00, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Draft: Plastometrex
Hi Theroadislong, I'm still new at wikipedia and starting to learn how everything works. Indeed you were correct that the article was too promotional, my apologies for that. If I put it up for review again I will be sure to change that! Though as I understand more what notability actually means (thought I did but I was wrong), it will probably be a while before that will happen. I will read up and will do better when/if I write the page on the new technology the company is based on (assuming that is notable :D). Thanks for the great work, you wiki editors are the light in the world of misinformation and subliminal promotion (which I somewhat did accidentally myself :( ) So just wanted to put some positivity here and say thanks! --Vilnix (talk) 15:07, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Hi, would you mond to tell me where it is too promotionnal please ? I add all the references I have and tried to be neutral as I can. Thanks for feedback — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jo Perras (talk • contribs) 15:21, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- I have commented on your draft, you can also get advice here Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk if you are being paid to edit I would have assumed you were already familiar with how Wikipedia works. I have no desire whatsoever to help you further, most of us are volunteers here. Theroadislong (talk) 15:49, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
Hello! I think this is clearly a misconception. What fleeting mentions? The article contains a review of a famous critic, a full biography from authoritative sources, getting into famous charts. Justify, please, your result. Calvinn1 (talk) 18:17, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry but your draft did not appear to pass the criteria at WP:MUSICBIO, you can ask for independent advice here Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Help desk. Theroadislong (talk) 18:28, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- There, anyway, the article will not be taken out into the main space. The article contains a review from a well-known critic, charts, and other media publications that describe the person and some nominations in as much detail as possible. Ranks 4th as the most followed Likee blogger. And this is also confirmed by an authoritative source in the article. Collectively significant as a blogger and singer. Is there any other source ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pradnyeshparulekar (talk • contribs) 11:35, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

Slywriter comment on Draft:Xerox 2700 Distributed Electronic Printer
Dear Theroadislong: Thank you for your past comments. I don't know how to respond directly to a comment by Slywriter on my draft. The comment asked for more citations and I have added a link to an interview with Gary Starkweather, laser printer patentee, with whom I work at Xerox beginning in 1968. Other material for my article came from original engineering documents and personal papers. I was hoping to record the information before it is lost. Please forward to Slywriter if possible. Many thanks. Ruston7 (talk) 19:05, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Slywriter: None of that would be usable I'm afraid, interviews are not reliable or independent and original documents and personal documents are likewise not suitable. Theroadislong (talk) 19:11, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

easystats article
Hi! You recently reviewed the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Neuropsychologist/Easystats article, that 1) was classified as not meeting the requirements for an article and 2) had external links in the body. I just wanted to enquire and clarify whether it's worth it to try to edit it further. I originally thought this article had its place as other similarly popular software have one - albeit small - e.g., tidyverse or statsmodels. I heavily used the tidyverse article as a reference for content and length, which also includes external links in the body. My questions are: should I edit the tidyverse to remove the external links too? Should I remove the external links and add more secondary sources to the new easystats one, or does it have other fundamental issues preventing its creation? Thanks a lot, and apologies if that's not the right place to ask. Neuropsychologist (talk) 09:54, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- The article Tidyverse wasn't a very good model, see WP:OSE, removing the external links and adding more independent reliable sources would greatly help in getting it accepted. Theroadislong (talk) 10:07, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

I note that you have refused to put my article Morning Edition back onto Wikipedia. I did not fully understand why it was draftified in the first place so can you please tell me why you have refused to allow it back onto Wikipedia. (Rillington (talk) 13:55, 17 January 2022 (UTC))
- A Wikipedia article summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a topic, your draft Draft:Morning Edition (BBC radio programme) has zero independent sources, hence it was declined. Theroadislong (talk) 13:59, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your speedy response. Many articles on Wikipedia which have been accepted have no sources. Programme listings guides are independent of the actual topic so I do not understand why this article has been removed and subsequently rejected by yourself for inclusion on Wikipedia. The article/Chris Ojigbani deleted was not written or edited by me and was obviously weak. I have used many independent reliable references for the article and there are even many more reliable references I could use, but I feel the ones I have used are enough. I am sorry for disturbing you, knowing that you are a volunteer, but I would be grateful if you can look at it again as I have learnt a lot these few days and have greatly improved the article. The subject is very notable in Africa and there are too many reliable sources to use as reference. I have used some, and after my last editing, I have still seen many academic journals and books I can use as sources of notability for the subject. But I think the references I have used are enough to prove his notability. Kindly check the article when you are a bit free, please. Thanks a lot! Cheers! Draft: DoD Guidons
Good evening (or morning/afternoon wherever you're at). I already informed my client it would be hard to get the page on Wikipedia without significant news or other information about the company meeting the notability requirements. However, you stated that the information reads nothing like an encyclopedia. I utilized the Wikipedia template here: [[4]] as a guideline. Can you give me more advice on what you meant with your comment and how to improve it (not interested in getting the current article reviewed again right now until my client provides me with the requested independent notability documentation), but just advice on how to improve in the future. Hello
Hello, Unfortunately, there is no different source for female actors and activists living in Iran, and if there is and they do not protect their personalities and publish various sources in foreign sources, it is outside the scope of Iranian politics. It may be a problem for them, so the best source for Iranian actresses living in Iran are these sites, whose names are also recorded in the movies. Because if it was out of this, the directors and producers would not allow access to their name on the imdb site.
Thank you for your attention and sympathy for the wiki rules, and I hope you can help make the article well-publicized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:5EC0:581B:12A1:5927:8DAB:96E9:DC64 (talk) 09:34, 18 January 2022 (UTC)

Request on 14:20:57, 18 January 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by TonyRao
Hello Theroadislong
We're trying to compile a list of business publications and the entry for Start Your Business is getting declined. There are WIKI pages and external sites linking to the publication and confirmation of the ISSN publication entry. Surely a business publication that has been in circulation for 15 years is suitable for an entry of Wikipedia? There are similar publications with less reference sources:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Artist_(UK_magazine) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Revival_(UK_magazine) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Circle_(UK_magazine)
There are more examples where there is less information yet a published page. Please let me know what more information is needed or if the existing copy needs text amended.
Thanks Tony
