Thank you for being around, for fine reviewing, and your good wishes! - Happy new year, in friendship! - One of my pics was on the Main page (DYK) and even made the stats. - In this young year, I enjoyed meetings with friends in real life, and wish you many of those. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:20, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your uplifting words, Gerda Arendt — Wikipedia is a kinder place because of you. A very happy new year to you, in friendship! — The Most Comfortable Chair 18:44, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
The Most Comfortable Chair, do you plan to return to this GA review that you opened? Doug Coldwell, the nominator, has long since posted that they are once again able to work on the review after recovering from their injury. If you won't be returning, please let me know. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:52, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Unbegun GA reviews
The Most Comfortable Chair, you opened two GA reviews over two months ago, posted a month ago today that you'd be completing each review that week, and still have not yet begun either review:
Can you commit to making good progress on these soon? If not—life happens, and sometimes gets in the way of what we'd like to do on Wikipedia—perhaps it is time to relinquish them and allow another reviewer to select them. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:15, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
- I will start working on them now. Thank you for the nudge. I hope you are well. — The Most Comfortable Chair 16:37, 18 March 2022 (UTC)
March songs
Listening to the charity concert mentioned here. I created the articles of the composer and the soprano. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:38, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for sharing this beautiful music, Gerda Arendt. An old friend of mine is from Ukraine — her family is stuck in Kyiv and she spends every moment dreading the worst. What is being done in Ukraine is absolutely deplorable. — The Most Comfortable Chair 18:26, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- The friend whose concert I heard yesterday was meant to teach in Kyiv end of February. There's a discussion on DYK. The great soprano who sang two days ago carried a flag of Ukraine when she appeared for her curtain call, to big applause. Dove sono ... --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:51, 13 March 2022 (UTC)
- Now, you can also listen on YouTube, and more music, the piece by Anna Korsun begins after about one hour, and the voices call "Freiheit!" (freedom, instead of "Freude", joy). Music every day, pictured in songs. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:34, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
- Marevo was hauntingly beautiful. I have never heard a piece in this style before and I will explore more of her works. Thank you for sharing. — The Most Comfortable Chair 13:13, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

- Really great work on Prayer for Ukraine — congratulations! I have been watching Places and songs 2022 since you shared the link and I love your updates. The garden in my yard that I have been working on only has violet and purple flowers, with the exception of a sunflower (my favorite) patch, and I have a bunch of crocuses. — The Most Comfortable Chair 10:48, 27 March 2022 (UTC)

The Most Comfortable Chair, you said on this page a couple of weeks ago that you'd start on this GA review—one of two you'd opened in January but not yet started—right away. That after a similar post to the review pages on February 17. (The other nomination has been reviewed, for which much thanks.)
It really isn't fair to keep a nominator waiting for months like this. Shall we say that if your review hasn't started by April 11, three months to the day after it opened, the review page will be deleted and the nomination be made available for another reviewer to claim? That should be more than enough time to get started. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:23, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Ukraine day today: Maks Levin DYK, expanding Kyiv Symphony Orchestra (have tickets), and creating Anthony Robin Schneider, the bass who could be heard opening the singing in Beethoven's Ninth twice on 10 March 2022, live in Frankfurt, Germany, and recorded in Auckland, New Zealand, singing "Freiheit!" (freedom) instead of "Freude" (joy), in a tradition started after the Fall of the Wall. In case of interest. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:36, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- I enjoy works of Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and would love to attend their concert. Unfortunately I live far away from places they would be likely to perform. You did good work on both articles, Gerda Arendt. — The Most Comfortable Chair 12:12, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

I happened to notice this acceptance, and simply wondered if you were aware of WP:FORBESCON. I was not until recently. I make no judgement on the article or the acceptance. I have taken a moment to apply the official Arbcom crypto sanctions panel to the creating editor's talk page. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 08:46, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Timtrent, and thank you for reaching out. I am aware of FORBESCON, and the two Forbes articles were written by Forbes Staff members. Additionally, there were in-depth articles by CNBC, Bloomberg and Wired. Passing mentions in reputable sources and industry-specific outlets wouldn't help establish notability per se, but they were ancillary to the former in my assessment. — The Most Comfortable Chair 10:32, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
- I'm glad you are aware, because Forbes seems complex to me, especially when we are asked to try to check whether the online article has appeared in the print element. I was assuredly not criticising your acceptance. I have a firm belief in the process of accepting articles when they pass the >50% chance of surviving threshold. - It appears that they may be a line under the by-line referencing a print edition if that exists. And thus a piece that has been said to have appeared in print carries more clout than one which does not, for that may or may not be some form of churnalism. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! I am so grateful I can hardly stand it! I think I need to learn! Jenhawk777 (talk) 16:01, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Jenhawk777, and I am glad I could help! You did incredible work on both articles, by the way — they are so comprehensive and well-researched; incredibly impressive! There is a template for finding such templates — Template:Hatnote templates — and I used {{Main|Christianization of the Roman Empire}} on Christianization of the Roman Empire as diffusion of innovation and {{Broader|Christianization of the Roman Empire as diffusion of innovation}} on Christianization of the Roman Empire. — The Most Comfortable Chair 19:39, 26 May 2022 (UTC)
- So I know I sound like a broken record, and you must get tired of hearing the same thank you's repeatedly, but thank you again - for the lovely compliment, and for the template. Also I see you are a 'precious' friend of Gerda's, as am I, and that you like Emily Dickinson. Obviously it was kismet that we should meet and be friends forever. I hope to see you around again! Help
Hello,
Greetings!
Kindly help me with Draft:Psychologs
How to edit it, show the notability etc. Gauravdelhi.wiki (talk) 11:35, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Kindly help me with Draft:Psychologs — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gauravdelhi.wiki (talk • contribs) 11:36, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Gauravdelhi.wiki. I would recommend that you look at GNG and NMAG, which are generally applied when evaluating magazine articles for notability. In a nutshell, for Psychologs to be considered notable enough to have a Wikipedia article of its own, you will need to establish that the magazine has been covered in multiple reliable and independent media with in-depth coverage (in reliable news, journals, books and/or other magazines). For a hypothetical example, a Times of India article that discusses Psychologs in detail would be considered towards establishing notability — and you will have to show that there are multiple different and independent outlets that have reported on the magazine.
- As of now, the only citation in that article that weakly contributes towards that is the News 24 article, and even that would not be considered "significant coverage" because it is just quoting the journal's editor-in-chief and not discussing the magazine in detail (see GNG). Alternatively, if the magazine is the recipient of a prestigious award or honor, or if it is associated with a notable organization or association, that would also help establish its notability (see NMAG). Let me know if you need any clarifications and I would be happy to help. — The Most Comfortable Chair 13:24, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

May thanks
Thank you for improving articles in May, especially for accepting Arno Lücker. Could you perhaps also look at Draft:Helmut Günther? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:31, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- Hello Gerda Arendt! I hope you are doing well. Günther is cited extensively in written literature,[Google Books] however sources cited in the draft may not immediately reflect that. Sources that establish notability do exist though, and the content of the draft seems verifiable; I would not mind reviewing it if you re-submit the draft. Alternatively, I can help you add more content and sources I mentioned if you would prefer that, but it might take me a day or two to get around to it. — The Most Comfortable Chair 14:40, 20 May 2022 (UTC)
- As the article will profit more from the better sourcing, yes, please do that, - no rush! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:11, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

The disambiguation page is a joint page for "Queen Elizabeth" and "Queen Elisabeth" per the opening sentence. So why wouldn't the intitle and lookfrom lines not include "Elisabeth" with an "S"? Also, wouldn't Queen Betty be an appropriate see also, seeing as there is a Queen Isabella see also? Betty is a variant of Elizabeth, and if someone believed that "Betty" where a short form of Elizabeth, then they would start from that disambiguation page. -- 64.229.88.43 (talk) 17:24, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello 64.229.88.43. I reverted because your changes introduced duplicated items in the section. I honestly missed that you added Queen Betty to it as well. I have rectified that — added Queen Betty back without the duplication. — The Most Comfortable Chair 19:35, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
- Except the items are not duplicated. One uses a spelling that has a "Z" the other uses a spelling that has an "S". Elizabeth versus Elisabeth.
- All pages with titles beginning with Queen Elizabeth
- All pages with titles beginning with Queen Elisabeth
- gives different results
- as does

DYK for Red Jordan Arobateau
On 2 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Red Jordan Arobateau, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Red Jordan Arobateau adopted "Red" as his first name after dyeing his hair red because he thought the color represented sensuality and eroticism of his work? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Red Jordan Arobateau. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Red Jordan Arobateau), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- You are a good person Gerda Arendt and you represent the good Wikipedia is capable of. I am feeling disillusioned with our community over their treatment of Doug. Dozens of "respected editors", including admins, reviewed his articles and most of them failed to see any major problems. For years. And Doug is singularly bearing the wrath of this lynch mob for the mess. Sure, he was in the wrong, but what about those dozens of well-established editors who looked at those articles over all these years and claimed there was nothing wrong. Does that not say a lot about competence of those "respected editors"? Who now have the audacity to throw him under the bus without taking accountability or at the very least acknowledging a critically flawed system of content review? If the people over at the kangaroo court had half the competence they pretend to have, this problem would have been noticed and dealt with years ago, without having to ban one of the more prolific (however flawed) editors of Wikipedia in this manner. I am sorry for my rant but I wanted someone to hear me out before I stopped editing. It was a pleasure knowing you and I hope you take care. — The Most Comfortable Chair 02:33, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

- I found it now, and you are right, better no comment. Doug is editing, and so should we. Doug Weller has cancer surgery, that's different, and Doug (RexxS) had enough of our pettiness, and I don't blame him. - The rose pic was taken on 11 Sep 2021, and this year was full of music that day, Tag des offenen Denkmals, not only singing in church and rehearsals for Verdi's Requiem, but two concerts at special places pictured, one a synagogue (pictured on its wall). Today three DYK: a piece we'll perform on Sunday, a violinist we heard in June playing the Berg Concerto, and a Youth Orchestra shaped by a conductor who recently died. Almost too much of a good thing. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:41, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
- Today, we sang old music for two choirs at church, pictured, scroll to the image of the organ of the month of the Diocese of Limburg (my perspective), and if you have time, watch the video about it --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:30, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- ... and today I wrote an article about music premiered today, Like as the hart. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:13, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- I understand completely what you mean. And Gerda, it's at the miserable drama board - no need to look at it. Urve (talk) 20:02, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Red Jordan Arobateau
The article Red Jordan Arobateau you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Red Jordan Arobateau for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Your retirement message
Hi -- I noticed you'd retired via a combination of circumstances at a GA, and looking in your talk page history I found your reasons. I hope you don't mind me pulling out a quote so I can respond to it. You said I am feeling disillusioned with our community over their treatment of Doug.
I'm one of the editors who "looked at those articles over all these years and claimed there was nothing wrong", and I agree with you that I should be accountable for that, and that it tells us that the GA process has problems. I don't know if it makes any difference to your retirement, but I am sure I'm not the only one of the many reviewers of Doug's articles who has resolved to do a better job reviewing in the future. If he had received the appropriate feedback on some at least of his first dozen or so GAs, things might have gone differently. I also think everyone believes Doug was acting in good faith -- he wasn't trying to game the system or deliberately get bad articles promoted. The problem is not that the rules changed on him; it's that he has not received consistent feedback about compliance with those rules (though a CCI was opened on his work last year). So, yes, it does "say a lot about the competence" of editors like myself; I made mistakes in reviewing his work. I think there are more editors like myself who regard this whole business as a failure with multiple people to blame that you might think.
If you do decide to edit again, and have any ideas about how to approach Doug in a way that makes it possible for him to contribute usefully again, that would be great. At the moment it seems that the main issue is that he hasn't seemed willing to talk about the copyvio issues -- I can't tell if he truly understands what the problem is, to be honest, from his comments. If you don't edit again, all the best to you. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 18:15, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
