Welcome to Wikipedia!

[edit]

Hello, SuperWardBros (SWB), and welcome to Wikipedia!

Blocked

[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:38, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

SWB is short for SuperWardBros and is not a group, organization or website if needed change name to SuperWardBros SWB (talk) 02:44, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

"Bros" is understood to be short for "brothers", which suggests shared use of this account. That is not permitted, so you will need to choose a new username that does not suggest this account is used by more than one person. 331dot (talk) 07:26, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Repeated unsourced genre additions

[edit]

You added rap rock here without a source (correct me if I'm wrong) possibly because you thought hip hop is there and so is alt rock so I'll just add rap rock? Genre's are a touchy subject if you haven't already noticed from all the reversions of your edits and the warnings on your talk page. Stop with the unsourced genre additions! This is the last time I'm asking before we go to ANI about this. You seem to have the potential for good editing but these repeated disruptive edits are getting in the way. Robvanvee 17:34, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that. I'll stop doing that. St. Jimmy (talk) 21:33, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Scott Pilgrim soundtrack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Speedy deletion nomination of Anarchy in Bedrock

Hello, St. Jimmy Jammy

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anarchy in Bedrock for deletion, because it seems to be vandalism or a hoax.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Your submission at Articles for creation: Soulchild (March 14)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was:

This draft has been resubmitted without any visible improvement, or with very little improvement. If you do not know what is needed to improve this draft, please ask for advice at the Teahouse. If this draft is resubmitted without any improvement or with very little improvement again, it may be Rejected, or may be nominated for deletion, or a topic-ban may be requested.

This draft was declined twice, in June 2019 and in January 2020, both times with mention that musical notability criteria were not satisfied or did not appear to be satisfied. It has been twice resubmitted without identifying a musical notability criterion and without significant improvement. Do not attempt to resubmit this draft without discussion at the Teahouse. If an attempt is made to resubmit this draft, a topic-ban may be requested against the submitter, or the draft may be nominated for deletion.

This draft does not appear to indicate which of the musical notability criteria is satisfied. If at least one of the criteria is satisfied, please revise this draft appropriately, with a reliable source, if necessary stating on the talk page which criterion is met, and resubmit.

You may ask for advice about the musical notability criteria at the Teahouse.

File permission problem with File:Math the Band.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Math the Band.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 20:23, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Hello, St. Jimmy Jammy. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Shoplifter".

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

A few notes

[edit]

Howdy hello! I know I'm leaving an awful lot of messages, but this one is pretty important.

  • In case you don't know, we have a super strict policy on WP:PAID editing. I see that Richard Cheese left you a message about paid editing above, and then asked you to contact him. If he has actually paid you to do any work, you will absolutely need to disclose that, or you will get blocked from editing.
  • As evidenced by my above deletions, Wikipedia is not just your personal sandbox. You can't put whatever you want here. I recommend you work more in mainspace, and less in your userspace.
  • I have no clue what you're doing with User:St. Jimmy Jammy/Template:Jimmy, you've created a heck of a walled garden. You have a bunch of pages just in userspace, many clearly not notable. You also don't seem to be promoting them to mainspace. What is the point there? CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 07:03, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ok so first, yea no I never actually did any editing for him he just wanted to ask and I told him about it, second idk I just get bored often and decide to do stuff that I clearly know aren't notable and are for my own personal stuff that obviously won't make it to mainspace. In short: not drafts or anything just me being bored and liking those topics, I can remove them if needed. St. Jimmy (talk) 07:06, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
St. Jimmy Jammy, You should go through and remove anything that isn't likely to become an article, and submit those that could be articles either to the mainspace, or through articles for creation. You can delete pages you don't want by tagging them as {{Db-g7}} Thanks :) CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 08:10, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Phineas and ferb movie soundtrack.png

Thank you for uploading File:Phineas and ferb movie soundtrack.png. A tag has been placed on File:SaxualHealing.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 19:01, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense I thought it wasn't copyrighted, thanks for deleting it. St. Jimmy (talk) 19:19, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Youtube provides the option for people to make their videos available under a Creative Common license, but that does not mean all videos are under such a license. You need to look for the declaration of a Creative Commons license in the video description / summary (you may need to click on "more" to see it if it s there). If you don't see one, then it is not freely licensed. I hope this helps when you look at other Youtube videos as a source of free images. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 20:14, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Phineas and ferb movie soundtrack.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Phineas and ferb movie soundtrack.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:34, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

This page is off to an OK start but needs more sources to establish notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Jessamyn}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

I didn't remake the article I made it originally as a redirect to Future bass, Mr Liffee turned it into an article lmao
Ha, the Page Curation tool apparently isn't smart enough to spot that. Will repost on their page, thanks. Jessamyn (talk) 00:08, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No problem lol St. Jimmy (talk) 00:10, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Glenbrook South High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Makes sense, thanks. St. Jimmy (talk) 00:27, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited We Are the Union, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kid Dynamite.
