Cyclone Taylor Peer Review
Quite a delayed reply here, but I finally was able to address your comments from the Cyclone Taylor Peer Review from last year, and again wanted to say thanks for going through it in such detail. I've finally brought the article back to FAC, so if you would like to take another look at the article it would be much appreciated. Kaiser matias (talk) 06:25, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

Your note
Hi Sportsfan77777 -- Don't think we've interacted before, but I got your note. I explained at the RfC the rationale for my proposal. I, too, am a sports editor. There are those out there who would like to see the majority of sports biographies removed from Wikipedia. My intention, as outlined more fully at the RfC, was to come up with a reasonable compromise that avoids more draconian attacks on NSPORTS. Cbl62 (talk) 08:43, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- It seems like you want to get rid of one type of article at the cost of a whole bunch of other articles getting caught in the crossfire. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 13:56, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Win–loss stuff
The majority of articles already use the en dash and lowercase. There's no reason not to fix the rest to make sense grammatically and style wise, in agreement with MOS:CAPS and MOS:DASH. Dicklyon (talk) 07:02, 6 March 2022 (UTC)

2022 AFL Women's Grand Final
I've got the article on the 2022 AFL Women's Grand Final up for review at GA, but the sports queue is very long. If you could review it, it would be greatly appreciated. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 01:35, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I couldn't get to it right away because I haven't had much free time this month. Looks like problem solved though anyway? In general, if I'm available, I would be happy to review! Sportsfan77777 (talk) 18:17, 28 April 2022 (UTC)

Are you still active?
Hi, can you advise whether you're still active and able to fulfill the review of Cindy Shatto you have committed to? As it's been around 2 weeks and you don't appear to have edited since then, I am unsure if you're still able to review the article? Bungle (talk • contribs) 20:33, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Precious anniversary

--Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:47, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Thank you today for Suzanne Lenglen, about "a French tennis player from the 1920s. She won Wimbledon six times in singles and six times in doubles, and may have won many more major titles if she didn't retire from amateur tennis in 1926 at just 27 years old to turn professional. She never lost a match in Europe after World War I, but did lose the only amateur match she played in the United States. Although Lenglen is no longer as famous as the current top players, many fans of tennis today will recognize her name from Court Suzanne Lenglen at the French Open."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:19, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
Suzanne Lenglen scheduled for TFA
This is to let you know that the Suzanne Lenglen article has been scheduled as today's featured article for July 9, 2022. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 9, 2022, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.
We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:25, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Talk:Suzanne Lenglen#Article quality
Hi there Sportsfan77777. Thanks for writing such an engaging article there. I noticed your partial revert of my copyedits there, and have started a discussion in talk. I hope you will be able to comment there. Thanks for not just blanket reverting, and thank you for caring about article quality. See you in article talk! Wubslin (talk) 18:50, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- I must admit I'm a little frustrated by your answer over there. If you have any qualms about my bona fides it would be preferable to discuss that here or at my talk. I'd be very grateful for a more substantive response in article talk. I'm a returning user trying to get back into their account and editing under a new name meantime. This isn't prohibited. Please see if you can come up with the serious answers my serious and well considered questions deserve. Thanks for your time. Wubslin (talk) 23:27, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
FL promotion
Way to go on this! Not sure why it took so long, but better late than never. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 21:39, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Promotion of List of female chess grandmasters
alt text makes more sense after the caption
Please go change every example – I mean propose that if you really want to on the talk page over there – but, all seriousness aside, the very last parameter kinda is the caption. 67.187.73.94 (talk) 22:11, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- I put it after because I generally write the alt text to complement what's already written in the caption. There is no requirement for how to order the parameters themselves. Other editors can do it differently in the articles where they write content. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 07:47, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
- Consistency within the article seems paramount here (12–0). G'luck.--67.187.73.94 (talk) 15:53, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
Oliwia Kiołbasa
Hi Sportsfan, you reverted my edit on Oliwia's page but unfortunately without any explanation whatsoever. She got her final norm, yes, but that what makes her an IM in the end, that seems to be superfluous to have twice. And yes, she won a game against a strong player, but that happens as well, and there is no reason I can see to point this out, especially in the way it was done because one of her opponents was always going to be the strongest and, with all due respect since I do not have that playing strength personally, we are not talking about some specific player like maybe Hou Yifan, but in the end a strong but somewhat random player. These parts may be justified but you did not give any reason as to why. --Ein Tänzchen auf dem Mond (talk) 01:00, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, I agree that the grammar could be improved. That isn't a reason to delete content though, particularly for a stub. You're welcome to improve the grammar of course. The other reasons you brought up I don't agree with. Sportsfan77777 (talk) 12:40, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

Only just noticed your work on List of female chess grandmasters, and it's fantastic. Really like the careful choice of images/captions and tables, and the statistics and historical information are very well-selected too. — Bilorv (talk) 11:40, 4 September 2022 (UTC) |

- The list has been swapped out per your request. I hope to see a relevant date at some point in the near-future, as it's an interesting topic related to a game that I don't believe has ever made a TFL appearance. Giants2008 (Talk) 00:37, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- The list has now been scheduled for July 7, per your request. The blurb can be found here. Giants2008 (Talk) 01:23, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
