Notice of revert for Songkran
According to my revert of Songkran and your mentioned about edit war to me.
The reason I have reverted change(s) made by User Pierrevang3 who tried to spread false information that Songkran is a Khmer word which is not true. I have some academic resources to let you know. The term Songkran is Thai word as the following proofs,
- In Google Book and search with "Songkran is a Thai word" AND "The term Songkran is a Thai word" (included Quotation marks for exact result).
And also compare search result of "Songkran is a Khmer word" and check the Phonetic notation topic in Talk:Songkran
- Doctoral Dissertation p. 334 said:- "The term Songkran is a Thai word meaning to move".
- Songkran in Oxford English Dictionary
- The term "Songkrant" (TH: สงกรานต์) in Thai language was romanized (IPA) as "songkran" in accordance with Royal Thai General System of Transcription. see Wiktionary.
I hope that you are understand the situation and proceeding under the rule Wikipedia:Don't lie to the article, and would you please remove edit war warning on my talk page if my arguments are true and correct. Thank you. Quantplinus (talk) 03:45, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Draft deletion possible?
Sorry to bother you. Would you know what can be done about the draft created by the sock Bayundurid? Is deletion a possibility? --Kansas Bear (talk) 23:54, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Kansas Bear: Probably not. I'm assuming you're talking primarily about WP:G5. That's not applicable here. G5 applies to cases of block and ban evasion. Clasus1453 was not blocked from the draft namespace when they created the draft. While their edits as Bayundurid to the article and template namespaces were evasion, this draft was not. As for other potential reasons for deletion, I can't meaningfully assess those, since I know nothing about the subject. From an uninformed perspective, this looks like a reasonable, if poorly written draft, on a subject that might not be notable. Usually that's not enough to warrant deletion of draft. Sir Sputnik (talk) 00:21, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ok. Thanks. --Kansas Bear (talk) 00:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
Please link to a resolved discussion or advice that says that transfermarkt should never be regarded as reliable, as you should have done in your edit. Braintic (talk) 00:57, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Page Breaking my Computer
Hi,
As the most recent active admin, I would like to mention this:
[1], select "visual", and go to a different browser tab and come back. You'll likely see the page will start lagging. I was trying to revert vandalism and came to this. Is this vandalism? Myrealnamm (💬talk · ✏️contribs) at 20:51, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Myrealnamm: Without any particular knowledge of the subject, it looks fine to me. The lag you're experiencing is likely unrelated to this edit particular, and you'd probably get the same result for any other edit after the bulk of the page's content was added at 18:48, 22 May 2024. With over 1000 entries in the reference list, rendering the page will be quite taxing on your browser. Sir Sputnik (talk) 21:12, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Regarding speedy deletion
@Sir Sputnik, I hope you're doing well. I saw you declined the speedy deletion of the sock's pages [2]. But I have talked about it with Ivanvector and they say that WP:G5 should be applied in this case. Please see the whole context here and see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mohammad Umar Ali, thanks. Based.Kashmiri (🗨️) 12:28, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Based Kashmiri: With all due respect to Ivanvector, I have to disagree with their assessment as far as G5 concerned. I will not apply that criterion unless there is some specific sanction I can point to that's being evaded, and that's not the case here. Sir Sputnik (talk) 14:45, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I see. Regards. Based.Kashmiri (🗨️) 15:52, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Blocking of User:Braintic
Hi, For some time now user Braintic and I have been working together on the pre-nineties deaths lists. During this process Braintic's contributions have been instrumental in improving the quality of the lists . Sadly, I noticed you blocked User:Braintic on May 25th. Braintic was clearly out of line but the consequence is that our work has now come to a screeching halt. That's why I'm asking you to unblock Braintic. Again, you had every right to block this user who at times struggles with the rules and technology here. But it would be a shame that his/her useful contributions would come to an end. Regards, Mill 1 (talk) 10:21, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
- Any unblock request must come from the blocked editor themselves, and must contain a convincing explanation as to why the block is no longer necessary. Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:34, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Transfermarkt
Hello Sir Sputnik,
You have removed transfermarkt.de as a source at Hamburger SV.[3] May I ask why you consider it as unreliable? I see no evidence at Transfermarkt that this is the case, especially when the website is used as a source for match results (as opposed to market values). Renerpho (talk) 10:02, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

Unprotection request
Hello mate, while I was doing my daily routine on the Southern African side of NPP and AfC, I stumbled across this draft and did some minor clean ups while reviewing but it turns out this name was protected 5 years ago and requires admin access. Looking at the sources provided, I am leaning towards accept. I was wondering if you could take a look at the draft and tell me what you think. I'll be on the lookout for your response. dxneo (talk) 00:57, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Dxneo: Please consult an administrator who knows this subject area, or take the issue WP:DRV. I came across this article as evidence in a sockpuppet investigation, so seeing this draft sets off all sorts of alarm bells for me that this sockpuppetry might still be going on. However, I also know next to nothing about this subject area, and so am ill equipped to evaluate notability for myself. If another administrator or the community at large is willing to endorse the notability of the subject, I'd be happy to drop the protection. Sir Sputnik (talk) 01:50, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I do not know how DRV works. However, I believe Hey man im josh might help as he is very much active on NPP. dxneo (talk) 01:53, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- And if the sock is still ongoing, please eradicate the disease and put a permanent block on the IP if possible Thank you. dxneo (talk) 01:55, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

SPI help
Hello, I've been trying to create a sockpuppet investigation page for the user "erich romel", who is vandalizing the Arslan page. I also believe he is a single-purpose account. Can you please help me? Onoghuren (talk) 10:35, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
From Detective Stranger: Regarding the recent drama
Hello @Sir Sputnik. I am @Detective Stranger.
I am sending you this reply because I wanted to clarify some things regarding the recent drama involving me. I will try to be as brief as I can while still provide as much detail for you to understand.
Firstly, this account is in no way connected to the other aforementioned account (whose username I won't mention). I am the sole owner of this account, no one else has access to it, and I do not own any other accounts on Wikipedia.
Secondly, I believe the reason this recent drama happened most likely has to do with an Edit warring I got engaged in with another user regarding the plot for the movie: Once Upon a Time in High School back in mid/late 2021 (You can find some of the conflict I had with this other user in the article's editing history, their talk page history, and my talk page history.
Here are also some other users who were involved during that time who might vouch for me: @Czar, @Schazjmd, though I doubt they remember.
Lastly, I wanted to thank you and several other users, @Mwwv, @HeartGlow30797, and @Jdcomix, also an admin @Yamla for upholding the principles and values of Wikipedia, and taking action against someone who is threatening those very principles and values.
While I may not be, as you said, active in terms of editing Wikipedia articles and such (though I am considering doing minor edits on Wikipedia like spelling and grammar checks), I am still a very active Wikipedia consumer and reader as I always loved reading and doing research on various interesting topics and Wikipedia has provided the resources for me to do that.
Looking forward to more future endeavors with you all here in Wikipedia. Detective Stranger (talk) 21:30, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
Transfermarkt again
Hello, you've removed one of citations I added because Transfermarkt is unreliable. The most recent talk about this on Wikipedia that I could find was from 11 years ago. The main reason in that talk I saw was that Transfermarkt was edited by any user. However, now an edit has to be approved by a site admin on Transfermarkt. Is there a more recent talk section about this subject? WikiEnjoyer123 (talk) 07:37, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

An SPI renaming
Hi Sir Sputnik, How are you doing? I recently filed an SPI recently. Since then the user has been renamed. I am wondering whether the SPI should be renamed accordingly? I guess it would be good if I let an SPI clerk, someone like you, do the moving? Chanaka L (talk) 08:41, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

Regarding Molde FK in European football
I noticed your message on my talk page regarding my revert of your edit. I agree with your message, but would like to note that I only attempted to improve the Wiki by updating outdated statistics. The statistics regarding Berg Hestad already existed without referencing and I added a reference. I don't consider Transfermarkt a reliable source but thought it would suffice given the dearth of other sources. Thank you for writing a message to me on my own talk page and I hope I didn't offend you by my revert, which I now accept was wrong. The Voivodeship King (talk) 06:47, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Transfermarkt
Hi there,
I’m still fairly new to this so I have a question. You reverted links to individual historical game results on Transfermarkt from an article I edited. I notice this seems to be a common question on here, and I don’t see the answer, but is there a reason it isn’t considered reliable? And also, I intend to go through and edit quite a few other pages in this series which have match results on them (created by someone else but currently more or less stubs). The match results list on the pages is super useful - giving a lot of the utility of the page, so I don’t want to delete them. Is it better to just leave the match results unsourced, or do you know of a more reliable site for match results that I could use as the source instead?
thanks for your help. Absurdum4242 (talk) 02:17, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
