Please see WP:GS/RUSUKR. You can still make edit requests on the talk pages. Mellk (talk) 06:00, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this message. That I'm not supposed to make edits related to Russo-Ukrainian war even though the pages are not protected? WikiEnjoyer123 (talk) 06:25, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Page protection is part of enforcement (such as when disruption starts). It is not feasible for admins to go around protecting every single possible article. But yes, the restriction applies to all articles or internal project discussions (until you reach 500 edits). You can still use the talk pages to make edit requests. Just something to be aware of. July 2024

Information icon Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ion Nicolaescu, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 09:29, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a reference for the stats table you added. But you'll need to find one yourself for "He scored his first goal for the national team against Kosovo […]". Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:33, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Transfermarkt

[edit]

Administrator approval is not a new development. This has always been the case, and is even explicitly mentioned in the 11 year old discussion I assume you're talking about. It does not change Transfermarkt's character as a self-published source, not least of all because the administrators are themselves community volunteers. The process similar to making an edit request to a fully protected page on Wikipedia. As for more recent discussions, given that Transfermarkt's unreliability is not immediately obvious to the casual reader, it does come up from time to time. A cursory search of WP:RSN and WT:FOOTY should get you what you're looking for. (See search results here and here). Sir Sputnik (talk) 15:19, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
