Speedy deletion nomination of Eyyub Ziya

[edit]

Hello EyyubVEVO,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Eyyub Ziya for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, heather walls (talk) 05:23, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hello Simplellali,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, K-Razy Shoot-Out, may be copied from http://www.mobygames.com/game/k-razy-shoot-out. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 15:34, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! İ have added my own words.

Notice

The article DJ Heyder has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet any criteria here WP:MUSICBIO. He has made remixes for notable songs, but the articles refer to those remixes as if he himself has created the notable song and released it. There are uncited claims of him being signed by various labels as well as him DJing for post Grand Prix concerts.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The Proposed deletion tag should not have been re-added, and I've removed it.
BUT, this is purely a matter of procedure. The article does not show why Heyder might be notable. None of the sources meet the required threshold of reliable, verifiable, independent coverage. It's only a matter of time before your article is deleted unless you can show he meets the criteria of WP:MUSICBIO. Cabayi (talk) 09:00, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Shouldn't the remover explain himself properly before removing the PROD tag, as stated in the tag itself. There was an explanation but it wasn't addressing any of the issues I mentioned as WP:MUSICBIO Daiyusha (talk) 13:41, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Daiyusha it's advisable but it isn't mandatory. WP:DEPROD is the policy page. Cabayi (talk) 15:13, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of DJ Heyder for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article DJ Heyder is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DJ Heyder until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Daiyusha (talk) 09:02, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ravan Baghirov moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Ravan Baghirov, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello EyyubVEVO. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EyyubVEVO. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EyyubVEVO|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Praxidicae (talk) 19:54, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ABD Malik (azerbaijani singer), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Warning

[edit]

Hi - you have been editing disruptively, and I'm close to blocking your account for that; please take this as your last warning. I don't know how things work in Azerbaijani Wikipedia, it's possible that the community there has different norms about this sort of thing, but you are not adhering to the expected behaviour on English Wikipedia. Specifically:

  • If you personally know the subject of an article, or if they have asked you to write about them, you have a conflict of interest when editing about them. You need to read and comply with the guidance at COI - you should be putting articles through the AfC process, and you are expected to disclose your connection with them formally. A note in a conversation on your talk page after the fact is not sufficient.
  • You are not permitted to remove CSD tags from articles that you have written. The tag itself tells you that very clearly. If you remove one again, you should expect your account to be blocked.

I hope this is clear; let me know if you have any questions. Best GirthSummit (blether) 12:31, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

EyyubVEVO, I don't need you to answer any questions, or to prove that you're not paid. You have already said that the singer asked you to create an article - that's why I'm telling you that the COI guidelines apply to you. I need you to read those guidelines and abide by them. If there is anything about them that you don't understand you can ask about them. GirthSummit (blether) 13:13, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Ravan Baghirov

[edit]

Hello, EyyubVEVO. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Ravan Baghirov".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:39, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Rapper Xpert.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rapper Xpert.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:50, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, do you have any sort of external relationship with the subject of this article? Thanks, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:27, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello EyyubVEVO! Your additions to Draft:Aybaniz Ismayilova have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 14:31, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Gulay Zeynalli (singer).jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gulay Zeynalli (singer).jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. Deletion pending for File:Azerbaijani DJ Fateh.jpg

[edit]

Hello, Simplellali. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Azerbaijani DJ Fateh.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS pending}}, indicating that you (or perhaps the copyright holder if you did not create this image) submitted a statement of permission to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. Though there is often a backlog processing messages received at this address, we should have received your message by now.

  • If you have not submitted (or forwarded) a statement of permission, please send it immediately to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.
  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 15:34, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leman Dadashova moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Leman Dadashova, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 19:03, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

Dear Rosguill and the Wikipedia team,
I have been an active and dedicated editor since 2012, contributing to the Wikipedia community out of personal interest and passion for expanding the knowledge base. I would like to clarify that I have never received any compensation for the edits I have made on the platform, nor do I engage in paid advocacy.
That being said, I acknowledge that I have created and edited articles about companies with which I have been affiliated through past employment. These companies are well-established and notable, and I believed their inclusion on Wikipedia was in line with the platform’s mission of providing verifiable and neutral information on significant entities.
However, I now understand that even though these companies are notable, editing related to organizations I have worked with can raise concerns regarding a conflict of interest. I sincerely apologize for any oversight on my part in adhering to the conflict of interest and paid editing disclosure policies.
Moving forward, I will strictly follow Wikipedia’s guidelines regarding COI and paid editing, and I will refrain from editing pages that relate to any companies or entities I have a personal or professional relationship with. Additionally, I am fully committed to ensuring transparency and will disclose any potential COI should it arise in the future.
I respectfully request that my account be unblocked, and I am eager to continue contributing in a manner that upholds Wikipedia’s principles of neutrality and integrity.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Simplellali (talk) 12:47, 15 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
