Thanks for reminding me to copy the VRT ticket from the original to File:Pascal Maynard in The Mythic Store (cropped).jpg, you were quite right, I've reviewed enough licenses and even gotten enough VRT permissions that oversight was a bit embarrassing. As a token gratitude, I added a few pics and other descriptions to National Memorials (New_Zealand)#International National Memorials, which was rather empty before. Hope you like. None are images I took or found myself, they were all already in Commons. Unfortunately, France and South Korea don't have Freedom of Panorama, and I couldn't find any free pics of the Majorca cemetery, so couldn't get the others. Thanks again. --GRuban (talk) 18:51, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for resolving this. I was genuinely surprised but see that it was a simple oversight. Thanks for your good work on the National Memorials article, GRuban – that’s much appreciated. Schwede66 19:11, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom case request

WP:STUBSPACING

[edit]

FYI Cat-a-lot removes the spacing automatically. I don't know of a way to override it, unfortunately. Mason (talk) 01:25, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I did not know that, Smasongarrison. I've used Cat-a-lot a lot on Commons, but never on WP. Has anyone suggested to the developers to look into this so that the tool does not run counter to the manual of style? Schwede66 01:35, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure anyone has, but it sounds like a good idea. Mason (talk) 01:37, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request for arbitration declined

[edit]

The request for arbitration in which you were named as a party has been declined by the Arbitration Committee. Arbitrators generally expressed the view that this incident on its own did not yet require arbitration and could have likely been resolved at AN/I. For the Arbitration Committee, SilverLocust 💬 16:45, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up, SilverLocust. I appreciate the work you Arbcoms do. Please pass on my regards. Schwede66 17:32, 5 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question; citation tool for dyk prospect

[edit]

Hi. I'm nearly done with what I think would be a very interesting article for a DYK, but the citation tool has been down for days. Any suggestions? The draft is Draft:Adam Maraana. Some time pressure, as he competes this month in the Olympics. Thanks. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:1C0D:29BD:F02A:DC84 (talk) 00:19, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to hear from you. There's an outstanding item for you at Template:Did you know nominations/Shachar Sagiv that you may have forgotten about.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by citation tool. I have a link to "Expand citations" (add the page name to the URL for the page you want to run this tool) in my toolbar and I've run it just now and it does appear to work. It's done most of them. I suspect you use the visual editor. I don't, hence I can't offer any advice in relation to that. I'm old-school and use the "Source editor". Within that, there is a citation interface and it gives you templates where you fill in the fields that you've got, resulting in formatted citations. Help:Referencing for beginners#RefToolbar has a cool video that explains how you use it. It's quite straightforward once you've got your head around it.
Given that you are using quite a few sources that are non-English, it would be cool if you could use additional parameters when you do not use a Latin-based script for the title of the source. It's explained under Template:Cite web#Title. The language code to use for Hebrew is 'he'. Schwede66 01:43, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, as always. 1. Sorry I was tardy but I did the required second qpq earlier today. 2. As to the tool, the one that I had in mind – unlike the one you just suggested (citation bot-I had tried it but it does not do much of the work the other tool does), provides a fulsome result. It is on the draft page. Under editor resources — Advanced: Fix bare URLs. When clicked, now it unfortunately just yields this – https://refill.toolforge.org/result.php?page=Draft:Adam_Maraana&defaults=y --2603:7000:2101:AA00:497:A7D2:438:36D5 (talk) 03:18, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. Maybe try what I suggested. It's more work, but getting translations done is a manual job anyway. Schwede66 03:25, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It took a lot of time compared to the other tool! Which I think you will like when it is running again. But it's done. Thanks for your help. Hopefully it gets promoted soon, so the DYK (I'll give you suggested language) can run timely. I think it will be good one. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:1C0D:29BD:F02A:DC84 (talk) 06:11, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See FYI. Schwede66 06:21, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. Thanks so much. BTW, this is the short DYK I had in mind:

"... Adam Maraana, an Arab-Israeli, will compete in swimming for Israel at the 2024 Summer Olympics?"

2603:7000:2101:AA00:1C0D:29BD:F02A:DC84 (talk) 07:12, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. That doesn't sound interesting enough. See Wikipedia:DYKINT. I don't think you'd get that across the line. Schwede66 09:09, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maraana says that in this dark time he can succeed as a goodwill "mini-ambassador". There's a hook in that! Schwede66 09:11, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Let me give it a think. I thought the reason it would be so interesting is because it's not well known these days that Arab Israelis can participate for Israel in this manner. More pointed would be that the Israeli Arab Olympian chose to serve in the Navy, but perhaps that is less cheerful, or that he cried when the Israeli anthem played and sang it proudly. Which might be hooky because it might be surprising. But open of course to your thoughts as the expert! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7000:2101:AA00:1C0D:29BD:F02A:DC84 (talk) 14:23, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, yes. Maybe you are right and that does have an element of surprise. Schwede66 16:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Happily, the article is now live. I'm as always happy to do a qpq. I do still believe that either the original suggestion, or one longer that includes that element, would be best. If longer, perhaps including that he cried when the Israeli national anthem played. We would not have to give the reason he cried – it's hooky, and the reader could be prompted to go to the article to find out why. (Also, btw, your call as to whether the best date is the date of competitions for the Olympians, or the date prior ...) Your thoughts? 2603:7000:2101:AA00:E9A0:8637:BE9D:BB0E (talk) 12:05, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Now nominated at Template:Did you know nominations/Adam Maraana. Add ALT hooks to the nomination if you feel like it. Schwede66 06:00, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome. Thanks so much, as always. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:59D5:2C36:68B1:8CC7 (talk) 12:31, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question. I know I suggested the language you used. But I'm thinking about what you said, and how to emphasize the interesting part of this. Perhaps it would help if we were to add "who is" before "an Arab-Israeli"? Focusing the reader more on that aspect of the hook? Your thoughts?--2603:7000:2101:AA00:C039:9FFC:332E:C66 (talk) 13:16, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Party lists in the 2023 New Zealand general election, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Benjamin Doyle. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Category:Marlborough District river stubs indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. I've done so at Template:Did you know nominations/Max Greyserman, but you will be told that DYK hooks need to be about the article's subject, and not somebody else. Put your thinking cap on for another hook! Schwede66 08:41, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! That's extraordinarily helpful (and I did not know). I've done so .. appreciated. (btw, is there anything I can do to help the two time sensitive DYKs attract review?). Best. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:A91E:FA5D:EAB2:D6B0 (talk) 09:06, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Schwede66, Going forward, do I have to assess my created articles and tag it with relevant stub tag like Template:Tv-prog-stub, Template:Film-stub. Using the user scripts Rater and StubSorter. Let me know about it. Thanks for your consideration C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 04:35, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

C1K98V, I suggest you put the stub tags on as appropriate, and the project banners on the talk page. I wouldn't use Rater for class assessment as it rates most stubs as start class; I don't know why it does that. I've never used Rater myself, hence I don't know whether you can suppress the class assessment. If you know that it's a stub (and tag it accordingly on the article page), it shouldn't show as start class on the talk page. Either do the class assessment manually, or omit it – whatever you are more comfortable with.
That all said, I never check as part of an autopatrolled assessment whether editors do this. It's nowhere near as important than getting MOS issues and referencing right. Schwede66 05:29, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Thanks, stay safe. C1K98V (💬 ✒️ 📂) 09:45, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ITN: 2024 Tour de France

Hi Schwede66. Further to your ITN comment to me about the prose section in the 2024 Tour de France article, I (with input from others) have now expanded it provide an overview of the race. Hopefully, this is now in a better state. Best wishes. Paul W (talk) 09:42, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Last minute Olympic DYK hook for 2 August?

[edit]

I've expanded an article about mixed relays in athletics and nominated a DYK hook about the Olympic qualification. The Olympic mixed relays are scheduled for 2 and 3 August 2024 [1], so I was hoping this could still be in time, but I'm not sure how I should go about this, so I wanted to bring the nomination to your attention. – Editør (talk) 11:36, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It’s a tad late in the process with the prep sets for those days full already. But you could post at Wikipedia talk:Did you know and hope that someone expedites it review. Good luck, Editør. Schwede66 14:38, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you're right it's late. Thank you for your suggestion. – Editør (talk) 16:03, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see you posted that request on the Olympics WP group. It needs to go to Wikipedia talk:Did you know, Editør. Schwede66 00:54, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've posted messages on three WikiProject talk pages and also added the article to Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Olympic hooks table, I was afraid that posting another message on that talk page would be too much. – Editør (talk) 02:12, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see. Yes, adding it to the table is good. I just fear that because the table gets edited so much, most editors frequenting that page will skip table edits. Schwede66 03:31, 26 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I decided to ask an editor who still needed a QPQ for an open DYKN to consider reviewing it and the editor did, so it worked out in the end. – Editør (talk) 07:12, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I'll get onto it shortly.
Have you seen the note about Sarah Levy above? Schwede66 07:47, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I had not. Thanks. I'll seek to address. The overall detector indicates copyvio "Violation Unlikely; 11.5% similarity", and much of the overlap is words that are not copyvio (names, places, the like), but I will see what I can do. 2603:7000:2101:AA00:34AF:AC34:37AD:2505 (talk) 09:04, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Update. Frustratingly, after my initial effort, the detector – still indicating Violation Unlikely – upped similarity to the 13% range. Checking the top matching source, the vast majority of indicated "matches" are with names, places, and the like .. but I will give this a shot tomorrow again when my head has cleared. Thanks. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:34AF:AC34:37AD:2505 (talk) 09:28, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't pay any attention to the percentage and the "unlikely" statement. It always pays to look at the passages that the tool highlights. Schwede66 09:32, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that head's up. I've addressed it that way as well now, though there was little to do. As before, but even moreso, the vast majority of what appears in highlights consists of names. Which are not the sort of thing that rises to the level of copyvio. (As reflected here: "Copyright law does not protect names, titles, or short phrases or expressions...To be protected by copyright, a work must contain a certain minimum amount of authorship ... Names, titles, and other short phrases do not meet these requirements.") --2603:7000:2101:AA00:34AF:AC34:37AD:2505 (talk) 20:25, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
DetroitFan7, it's been suggested that I nominate your Minna Stess article at DYK and set up the nomination so that you get a credit. Is that ok by you? Before I go ahead, though, there is one sentence part from one of the sources that has found its way into the article (your original version of it) that would have to be rewritten to be clear of close paraphrasing: Stess attends Petaluma’s Valley Oaks Independent Studies High School, which allows her to study virtually while traveling. Let me know. Schwede66 08:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Regarding Special:Diff/1238859794 and Special:Diff/1238859401, I haven't followed the full history here, but I'm not overjoyed with having you sign things on my behalf. @Theleekycauldron RoySmith (talk) 12:36, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm, I'm not sure which discussion you're referring to. RoySmith (talk) 22:20, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the other week, you put your foot down stating that you do not want hooks being signed by you when you didn't check them, @RoySmith. So when there was a need the other day to do a major hook reshuffle, with your hooks going into Leeky's set and Leeky's hooks going into yours, I documented in detail what I had done, and how to ensure that Leeky's hooks don't show in your queue with her signature (which will happen in 40 minutes' time). But it seems I just cannot please you, hence I shall give up trying to do so. Schwede66 23:21, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
OK, now I remember that discussion. There's been so many, it's hard to keep track, and it's not obvious to me that you were saying, "I'm going to put your signature on somebody's talk page". I don't think it's fair to interpret my not following every thing that's been mentioned in every discussion and then being surprised to find my signature on something I didn't expect as being impossible to please.
Taking a step back, I'm all for running a bunch of olympic-related material, but it seems to have taken over and pushed our normal processes to the breaking point. You mentioned in that thread that "However, RoySmith had in the meantime promoted Prep2 to Q2". Yes, I did, because I was told it was ready to go. Except it turned out you felt it needed a major reshuffle after fact. If we're doing major reshuffles after things hit the queue, something's gone off the rails. Suggested DYK

[edit]

Here's another DYK. Expansion. Zero time pressure (he's already competed). If you would be so kind; same approach as always.

  • ... that Australian Olympic judoka Josh Katz competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics six months after completely rupturing an ACL?

Done. I have done a bit of page moving and this athlete is now at Josh Katz; you might want to fix incoming links (not essential, though). What is essential is to provide a reference for his date of birth. Nomination form is at Template:Did you know nominations/Josh Katz. When you provide the QPQ, it's best to also leave a comment so that the reviewer doesn't just look at my comment (as happened the other day). Schwede66 00:37, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This is list of tallest buildings in Christchurch so category 2011 Christchurch earthquake is completely unrelated. Eurohunter (talk) 15:27, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An obscure cricketer...

[edit]

Hello. A very long time ago (2016) you did a little work on R. Sands. I've been working through the List of Auckland representative cricketers bringing it up to date and it's usually the sort of article that we'd redirect to the list these days – the lack of biographical information more than anything. Would you object to me doing that? I'd copy across (with attribution of course) the refs that you'd added and work the content out in a note – which I've already done for other players on the same list where we only have an initial rather than a name. I'll watch here for a week. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:24, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for checking in, Blue Square Thing. No trouble with what you propose. Schwede66 21:08, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've put more effort into writing about it now. Would this be acceptable? There's a book source which will presumably be more in depth with more information that I can try and obtain. Traumnovelle (talk) 06:57, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that’s a lot better. Add some categories and it’ll be acceptable for main space. Schwede66 09:08, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Moved it now. Honestly don't even know what I was thinking at first. Traumnovelle (talk) 19:25, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Slip ups happen. Don't forget to add categories, @Traumnovelle. Schwede66 19:27, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find nor think of an appropriate category beyond 1853 in New Zealand. Traumnovelle (talk) 19:32, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Draft:Hobsonville Church what would you say to this article? I've pretty much just relied on the Heritage NZ source because it's so thorough and complete. I haven't yet tracked down any print sources that cover it but presumably the Heritage report already covered whatever might be contained in them. Traumnovelle (talk) 06:05, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I somehow missed your comment, Traumnovelle. Very nice article. It’s a good idea to have a look on Wikidata whether an entry exists for a topic and link to the new article if that’s the case; I’ve done this for you. Schwede66 16:10, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have no idea how to do that. Traumnovelle (talk) 19:29, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It’s reasonably straightforward, @Traumnovelle. On Wikidata, search for the entry. When you find it, go to the header "Wikipedia" and click the pencil to edit it. Define the language as "en" and enter the article title. Click the tick mark to save your edit. Done. Schwede66 19:39, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Howdy, I'm starting to work on an article for the Draft:PGC building (it surprised me when I noticed that it was right beside the Edmonds Band Rotunda, which I had just written an article on) and came across a good source by the Canterbury Earthquakes Royal Commission. Because it contains so much information about the building, I've obviously got to be careful with paraphrasing and copyright as I'll be using quite a bit of it. Since you're quite active on Commons and you once answered a question I had, I figured that you may be able to help with the following question:

Do you know if the source is copyrighted? According to this page, Under section 27 of the Copyright Act 1994, no copyright exists in reports of Royal Commissions. Is that source a report? The answer might be obvious but I'm just looking to be sure. Thanks. ―Panamitsu (talk) 06:31, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, interesting case. The Royal Commission reports are indeed free of copyright. That means that you don't even have to worry about close paraphrasing; you can simply copy and paste the text at will. I suggest the following:
  • Settle on a referencing system that can deal with using a source numerous times, but referencing different pages of that source. That could, for example, be shortened footnotes. This article uses Template:Sfn extensively. There are other referencing systems that do the same thing.
  • Part of the setup is to have two headings for your references, e.g. "Notes" where the page references go and "References" where the book or report citations are stored.
  • Those sources that have an open license or no license (as in this case) get marked as such in the second part, e.g. under "References"
I suggest you settle on a referencing system and set this up with two headings. I'm happy to look up how it's best done to mark a source as "no copyright". That should do the trick.
Nice to see that you are embarking on that article, Panamitsu. On the day of the February earthquake, I walked home on Colombo Street. I should have noticed that the PGG building had collapsed but I didn't! Schwede66 08:19, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the help. What an interesting note about walking home. I always enjoy hearing about what people did that day.
I've been a bit confused with page numbers here because that source I shared is a 20 page Word document which is just the PGC building section in the report. I assume (I haven't looked into it) that the proper report is several thousand pages long, so the more correct thing to do may be to use page numbers for the entire report rather than this PGC building section. I guess it doesn't matter too much so I'll just use the Word document pages.
I've marked the source with Template:Source-attribution I'm not sure if it is in the public domain or has some other licence. I've also created three headings: notes (I added a list of the dead), citations and references. ―Panamitsu (talk) 09:05, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say WP:NOTMEMORIAL would apply. With regards to page numbers, I'd go for the PDF files of the report; that way, you get proper page numbers. And I do have a complete set of the Royal Commission reports on my bookshelf. Schwede66 09:29, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And with regards to what I did that day: Our company was in the Link Centre Building in Hereford Street. The Boxing Day earthquake had created a diagonal crack in our internal concrete wall that a structural engineer assessed as inconsequential. When the shaking stopped, I inspected the crack and it didn't look any different. I thus decided that the building was sound and we convened a staff meeting, planning what we'd do next as a company. That was done after 30 minutes, and we all went home. In Cathedral Square, I stepped over the spire of the Cathedral – that felt rather weird. I took a very poor-quality photo of the spire. Many parts of Colombo Street north of the Square were a mess, with facades lying in the street. The section between Kilmore and Peterborough was particularly messy. Later that afternoon, we went for a wander. The liquefaction in Manchester Street was quite something. The lateral spread along the Avon had caused massive damage. Schwede66 09:49, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's quite an interesting story there. My absolutely breathtaking (sarcasm) earthquake experience is having pantry contents fall onto the floor in the Kaikoura earthquake.
How did you obtain a physical copy of the report? It seems obvious now but I didn't realise that that was a thing people could get.
WP:NOTMEMORIAL is an interesting one because it mentions notability requirements rather than having a list of people in an article. I don't think a note is much of a big deal but I wouldn't have a problem with removing it nonetheless. ―Panamitsu (talk) 10:20, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Someone from our residents' group had something to do with CERA (was a community rep on one of their working groups) and had been given the set, but didn’t need it. I’ve also got a hard copy of the Blueprint, which is apparently rare. I just asked for it at the CERA reception. Schwede66 17:50, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I had a look at it this morning, Gerda. I downrated the article to C-class as there was a lot of unreferenced material present. An IP editor has just gone through and placed a number of citation needed tags. That makes it unsuitable for main page posting – sorry. Schwede66 23:12, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I should have done the same, but was a bit desperately working towards a different deadline, for BWV 78. So: "The Bruckner Orchestra Linz was also named in his honor.[citation needed]" – I feel tempted to simply revert such requests. What do you think. I know nothing about the article, but User:Meneerke bloem does. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:26, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is I, Panamitsu, in my ultra-rare IP form.

Please nominate me for the Wikipedia:Village stocks hall of shame. While I was creating a script to prevent myself from editing Wikipedia during work hours, in one edit I accidentally disabled editing functionality to my entire account permanently. This means that I can not edit any page on Wikipedia using that account, and I can not undo the edit that caused this to happen. (I knew this was a possibility and made it so the script does not disable editing functionality for javascript files, but that broke.) Someone else needs to edit that script, or my common.js file, so I can re-gain editing privileges. 115.189.128.170 (talk) 07:28, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blue Mountain Pottery

[edit]

Hi Schwede66, Thought you might be interested in this article: Blue Mountain Pottery. The article dates back to about 2006, but was pretty short. I came across it last week and spent the past few days bringing it up to a "Start" class. I think it's an interesting account of how some Czechs brought their entrepreneurial and pottery skills to Ontario post WWII, which then became a local icon in Canada. (Yes, my parents, among many Canadians of their generation, had some Blue Mountain in their house. :) ) Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 00:52, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nice one, Mr Serjeant Buzfuz. The funny thing is that I had a long chat with a potter today who I met for the first time. In Tākaka, though, and not in Collingwood; I live in between those two places. Oh, and my closest neighbour is a very good potter. Schwede66 04:25, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And given that you've exceeded a 5x expansion, I hope that you'll nominate the article for DYK. Schwede66 04:26, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Schwede66, I created a draft today and moved it to mainspace, the article wasn't autopatrolled automatically. When I checked my user right log, I found the log to be vanished. Now, a reviewer moved my article back to the draftspace citing relevant notability policies. But the question is why wasn't the article patrolled? It’s now the picture hook of prep 2. Schwede66 15:54, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen that Template:Did you know nominations/Max Greyserman needs your attention? Is the article recoverable? Schwede66 15:50, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Had missed that. Have been addressing it. Though I think the view that a league source is not an independent source for a player is perhaps questionable. That it seems to me is more relevant to an interview, the player's own webpage, and perhaps the team's webpage. But not a league page – if one considers the purpose of the rule. Plus, many of the league cites were belt and suspenders. And all stats of papers are built off of league stats. So, a curious complaint on a number of levels. Still, I've been paring the league refs. --2603:7000:2101:AA00:F804:C954:1D4C:5D11 (talk) 02:33, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think that your comments are reasonable. Schwede66 03:10, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Back to Berdichevsky; there's more work to do, with an admin requesting a few tweaks. Discussion is at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Adam Berdichevsky (nom). Could you please take a look? Schwede66 09:47, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your comment on my DYK nomination. I understand these criticisms and have made changes based along them. I added citations to his birth and death date, and I did add a section on what I could find on his personal life prior to politics. The one thing I did not change was the coverage of his political controversies. I do not believe that mentioning these important aspects of his career and legacy would violate our policy on maintaining a neutral point of view. I hope my efforts have helped the issues with the page. Have a nice day :-) -Samoht27 (talk) 16:46, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I shall leave it to the reviewers to draw their conclusions. Schwede66 16:48, 27 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
